Review and analyze now for company Ranallo Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Chris and Adam are great! Great with scheduling, on time, affordable and very easy and good to work with. Adam came in and fixed an issue 3 other licensed plumbers had failed to fix.
I had a fear of calling someone in at that point. Now I know who to call from day 1 and issue 1.
Then there would not have been an issue or anxiety to begin with. Company I very much trust! Not the cheapest but he is the best .
Chris does an excellent job and he knows what he is doing. Ranallo plumbing has been our go to plumber for over 20 years.
Chris is a nice guy who is quick to share maintenance tips with you. Chris is the reasonably priced, Type A Plumber you want doing work on your homes' Plumbing.
He relocated a shower drain for us so we could install a jacuzzi tub. He simply does a great work whether he is replacing a hot water heater or installing a garbage disposal.
I highly recommend Ranallo plumbing for your next plumbing project. I called Chris Ranallo concerning a toilet leaking at the base.
His son Adam came out the next day and reseated the toilet, stopped a leak in a sprayer hose, and replaced an outdoor spigot. Adam was friendly, helpful and answered all my questions.
I thought the price was very reasonable and fair. I will definitely use them again when I have plumbing work.
I used Christopher Ranallo for a plumbing job after he said it would take 1 hour. It ended up taking him 2 hours and he didn't provide me with a quote before hand.
My mistake for not asking him ahead of time, but I've worked with many plumbers and did not expect anything unreasonable. Christopher charges $250 an hour, plus parts! He never sent me an itemized bill until I started asking questions.
He charges more than double what most plumbers charge. I've used more friendly plumbers at a better price so I would not recommend him.
Our kitchen drain clogged up really badly right before Christmas. Adam and Chris got it all fixed very quickly.
They saved our Christmas! They even put on a new sink aerator when they noticed my old one was not flowing well. They were extremely professional and thorough.
I totally recommend them and would 100% use Ranallo Plumbing again for my next plumbing job. We had a clogged bathroom drain due to air conditioning.
The person that came got the job done. We had him also replace a bathroom faucet.
It took a total of about 2.5 hours for both of these jobs and we were charged $717. Because we did not have a price we agreed upon, we went ahead and paid it.
We definitely felt taken advantage of; over priced for work done. Check pricing before you have work done.
I hired Ranello Plumbing twice. On the first job Adam did great and charged me VERY reasonably for fixing a leak in a shower (under $200).
The second time around Chris did the work. He fixed two leaky toilet tanks, however on first use a hose came loose which wasn't properly attached, no big deal.
However the charge for this job was high (over $600) and for less than that I could have just had the toilets replaced. I am left with working toilets, but the toilet seat screws are completely rusted out which I hadn't noticed and the also the toilet seat supports are missing (shattered).
It was in a rental unit. A good plumber would've suggested to just replace the commodes entirely and not fix it the expensive way.
Not a happy camper. Had a valve that controlled cold water entering my water heater snap clean off so I called Ranallo.
Chris, a certified master plumber, was able to make it to my home. Along with his plumber, Adam, they came , replaced the pipe, the valve, adjusted my draft diverter and reignited my heater in just under an hour.
Professional, sharp, and a very fair price. Wish I had known about them first before hiring others to tackle the problem (unsuccessfully).
Thanks, guys. Prompt and nice, even came at 6 pm as we requested, but charged us $175 for 10-15 min of unclogging a toilet with a snake.
So... you decide.
If you've got money to burn, they'll show up promptly to take it with a smile. If you're struggling to pay your mortgage, call someone else.
Great family owned business. Chris, and his family, complete impeccable work consistently.
It really speaks to the integrity of the company when the owner is often the one who is going out to the calls, even on the weekends. Chris has been plumbing in the Austin & surrounding areas for over 30 years, and you wont find a more experienced or respected individual anywhere else doing the same things.
Chris responded quickly when I called him about a tankless water heater issue. I made a mistake by not asking him his hourly rate or getting a bid.
He diagnosed the problem with our tankless. We purchased a new tankless and he installed it a couple weeks later.
The bill we received did reflect the cost of materials and there was no breakdown for material cost and labor. After calling Chris he stated he did not have those figures, except to tell me the cost for labor was $218.75.
Total bill was $1029.16 for 4 hours of labor. He said his hourly rate was $150.00.
After calling Chris to discuss this he was curt and hung up on me. Would not recommend.
Chris Ranallo came over the same day I called him about a toilet leaking. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the wax ring, reset the toilet, and checked for leaks.
He called thirty minutes before arriving, wore a mask, and cleaned up all the mess afterwards. I thought his price was fair and the quality of his work was good.
I will definitely call him again when I have plumbing issues. Not a good day when you awaken to 1/4" of water in your kitchen and living room.
The cats who typically sleep on the sofa were clinging to the top of the back (claws digging into leather) as though it was an ark, their eyes the size of dinner plates. After a quick pet rescue, I knew who to call.
Chris Ranallo, Superman of Plumbing! Within the hour he sends two of his finest. Two.
Plumbers. The boys quickly get to work.
Both bending down, looking under the kitchen sink and one says to the other: "Check the pipes. There might be a crack".
And, at that moment I saw there was one. Only it was leering from the backside of the big portly plumber.
They were done in a little over an hour. Diagnosis: Busted water line under the sink.
Oh, and while they were here, they fixed the drip in the shower. Grand total: $135.00.
My husband and I bought our old home in 1995 and began knowing Chris Ranallo then. We've Been using Ranallo Plumbing for over 20 years and Chris et all are knowledgeable, meticulous, talented professionals.
We have had everything needed: water-heater, pipes moved for a new shower, everything kitchen and bathroom, outside irrigation! Seriously, look no further for a Plumber, you've found them. SuperBowl Sunday morning, Chris Ranallo came to my house to find water leaking from the wall in my garage from the hard freeze that the Austin area experienced on Friday February 4, 2011.
Chris quickly assessed the situation and got to work. Within two hours, he quickly found the two bursts in the copper pipe (buider took a shortcut) and repaired them and did a better insulation job than was previously done.
A consummate professional, Chris offered suggestions to weather the next few cold spells and he explained what and why he did what he did. I've used Chris' services before and will continue to do so; he's simply the best for emergency repairs and home improvements jobs.
Chris has been there for me on several occasions. Twice on holidays.
I can lose power, I can deal with having my car in the shop but I completely crumble with plumbing problems. The morning I had sewer water backing up into my bathtubs was one of those moments! Not to mention the EWWWWW factor! Anyhoo he was able to make it out quickly diagnose the problem and had me fixed up in no time.
He also gave me tips on cleaning out my tubs (I was ready to head out to Home Depot to have them replaced), keeping my lines open and he didn't overcharge. He was quick, clean and professional.
I see a couple of people left bad revenues and I find it interesting that neither identified what the problem was. Just sayin' Chris if you ever retire you better hook me up with someone at least as good as you.
The water main coming into our house was leaking. I found a mud puddle in the middle of the yard & the meter going like crazy.
I called three places. Chris called me back first, and told me that he could be there in a couple hours.
At lunch, I stopped by the house, to wait for him. Figured I'd take the afternoon off.
I turned the corner, found his truck in front of my house, they were just about done! He explained what happened, had engineered a solution to safe guard future issues. Ranallo Plumbing under promised and over delivered.
Thanks for going beyond what was expected, and delivering under budget! Always fast, professional and helpful! Anytime we have small or big plumbing issues at the office Chris or Adam are here in a flash to help us out. Always friendly, and courteous--PESC will always call Ranallo Plumbing first.
Chris came out on short notice on a Saturday when I couldn't get anyone else. He was highly regarded on our local NextDoor recommendations list.
Chris diagnosed the problem with my water heater, but was unable to source the required parts on that same day, and told me upfront that he couldn't help me that day, and treated me very fairly -- he didn't even charge me for the visit (I was expecting a $90 minimum service call or something similar). I really appreciate the honesty and fairness.
I'll call him next time I need some plumbing work done. My family had a bad experience with Ranallo Plumbing.
Will not go into detail but it was shady. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I strongly agree with another yelper. There are so many other plumbers on yelp with better reputations that i wont know what i was thinking ever calling chris and putting up with his version of "honest business".
Just because he is the only plumber that calls you back doesnt mean he's not going to ripe you off. I have used Ranallo Plumbing for 10 years and have gotten trusted, affordable, reliable service.
Water heater replacement, bathroom/kitchen plumbing issues, and water main Valve replacement at the street. I have called them at all hours and they have responded with friendly, prompt service.
Ranallo plumbing is local family owned business and a gem in Cedar Park! Chris & Company are just decent, reliable plumbers, plain and simple. They care, they'll come when you need them, and they do good work.
I can't remember a time Chris didn't offer to come right away, even though I didn't need him right that minute. He'll stop what he's doing if it's important.
I don't post recommendations often, but they deserve it. Less than 24 hours after my hot water heater failed, it was completely replaced! Thank you Adam and Chris.
We've used Ranallo Plumbing for years, mainly for small stuff, but we can no longer recommend them after our last experience. What should have been a minor repair of a few hundred dollars (plumbing and to fix water damage) turned into a several thousand dollar debacle when the problem was misdiagnosed.
Not even an "I'm sorry" from Chris. Avoid this company for anything but the most minor, routine repairs.
They have no loyalty to their customers and feel no responsibility to fix what they've broken.'''.
