Last Thursday, we received horrible news that a close relative passed away. That same night my laundry sink backed up and we had water all over the basement.

We were so devastated about the passing of our loved one and this was the last thing we needed! I called BZ Dependable, since I used them before. It was late night when I called and I was not in the mood to see anyone.

They were able to get someone for the next day. Tony and Rob were AMAZING! Extremely courteous, professional and honest! Rob walked me through every process to make sure I understood what he was doing and why! It turned out I had a back-up in the sewer line.

Once everything was done, Rob asked me for a cleaning solution so he could mop the floors! Talk about excellent customer service! Not wishing for another plumbing issue, but if so, BZ Dependable will be on speed dial! Shout out to Tony and Rob! Special shout out to Lisa for accommodating an early appointment so I could spend time with my family to mourn. Work done - Replaced a leaking Water Heater and added an expansion tank.

He gave us a quote "on the spot", no smoke and mirrors or I'll get back to you. Pricing: I bid out the job to several companies and B.Z.

was VERY fair and worked with us on all my options. Responded to any/all changes until we reached the actual setup I wanted.

Customer Service: Guys were respectful and even had a sense of humor. There was also a mixup with the expansion tank given by the supplier; was smaller than what I ordered.

When I noticed and let the guys know; Bryan himself showed up to deliver the correct size tank. He/they didn't choose to try and sell me on why it doesn't matter or any other bs.

I truly appreciated the just get it corrected approach Bryan took. The install: Work began the next day after I signed.

Clean install, they addressed any code violations and all seems well so far :) We will be using B.Z. again in the future and would recommend them to friends as well.

If my experiences change I will be transparent so everything is accurate. Really hope this helps someone when they need it.

We always use this business for any plumbing issues we come across. The guy that normally comes is slim and in his 20s.

I want to give him credit for always taking care of us. We recently had to replace something in the shower and the water heater.

They did it on the spot I needed a vent replaced on my radiator. unfortunately it was broken so it needed to be cut off.

this job took 5 minute. i was told there was a 99 dollar fee just to go out what they negated to mention is a 165 dollar minimum fee for anything.

while I can respect the 99 dollar fee 165 minim for any service on top of that is rather unreasonable. We just bought a house that needed a lot of plumbing work.

Bryan, Mario and Kwame made quick work of our projects (they repaired the house's sewer line, water lines and broken valves, among other things). They were incredibly thorough, transparent and responsive.

Scheduling and payment were very easy, the team always showed up on time - very easy to deal with. I'll definitely use BZ again.

What a great choice to call Brian and his amazing staff . The service was very professional, they showed up when they were supposed to , they sent a text with a picture of who was showing up (Mario)and let you know they were on the way.

They explained what they were going to do , they explained how the sub pump works and what to expect. Every thing about them was on point.

STAY AWAY - absolutely the worst clueless plumber in NJ. Has no idea how to handle any job, uses a ton unnecessary pipes and fittings to make your home look like a Super Mario Brothers level and overcharges as soon as the owner sees a nice car in the driveway.

I had a great experience with BZ Dependable. Their service is excellent, and they always get the job done in a thorough and professional manner.

Over a year ago we changed the faucet in our kitchen. After a year it became loose and we didn't have the proper tools to fix the problem.

They came back today and fixed it free of charge, that is what I call great customer service! They are a wonderful company to do business with and I highly recommend BZ Dependable. Unfortunately, BZ Dependable was one of the worst, least professional, contractors I have ever worked with, especially Brian the owner who was astonishingly unprofessional, rude, and an aggressive bully.

The terrible experience starts from the beginning, booking the appointment after accepting the estimate, where we selected a day, and later had to change it because the scheduler had estimated the wrong duration for the job - this was a big inconvenience for me, as I live in a co-op and need to get approval and pay for water shut off (as well as waiting an additional week to start the work). The job consisted of replacing water valves and p-traps in kitchen and bathroom, as well as changing shower faucet.

A valve in the bathroom leaked, and so did a smaller valve in the kitchen - both immediately after installation; fortunately, we were able to shut the water off a second time, and redo those valves before the end of the day (but already not a good sign of the workmanship level). Tile work was also a part of the job, and I had to point out to them that a tile they recently set was popping out - to which the worker responded that a proper job required 24 hrs for the cement to set for the tile - so not sure why they didn't plan for 2 days if that is what was needed to do it right to begin with - I fully expect the tiles to possibly fall off in the near future, and I sure hope the valves don't leak, but who knows at this point.

The biggest problem was that they underestimated the amount of work to replace the valves in the bathroom, which needed the wall to be opened up, and so then they decided to do a complete hack job there, which would require me to remove the vanity and a makeshift cover (which was "sealed" with painter's tape), in order to shut the water off in the bathroom in the event of an emergency. So imagine if there was a water leak somewhere in the bathroom, and in order to shut the water off I needed to do all of that in order to shut off the water - truly astounding.

After 3 additional visits, they finally fixed this in an acceptable manner. Additionally, the bathroom and the whole apartment ended up with a layer of dust, as the workers did not take enough precautions to prevent everything getting dirty, nor did they properly clean up after themselves .

As if all of this was not bad enough, the owner eventually got involved (I refused to pay full amount until job was completed in a professional manner), and he turned out to be the most rude and unprofessional person one could imagine - a truly disgusting person. I actually feel bad for the workers that have to deal with Brian on a daily basis.

Needless to say, absolutely do not recommend BZ Dependable, stay away for your own sake. Overpriced.

They gave me an estimate for winterizing plumbing $700 and + I almost fainted.I called to other local plumbers, the quotes was $150 for the same job Used by an elderly friend to replace customer provided simple bathroom faucet with two 8" supply lines. BZ was there for less than an hour and gave him the biz by charging him an outrageous amount.

(I'm a diy guy who knows what's involved.) When my friend complained the plumber replied- "That's the going rate". Unfortunately there's no state regulations regarding usual and customary rates that can be charged by plumbers.

Buyer beware. This is a very expensive plumber and not very honest on giving you the estimated price ..

they gave me an estimate two times more expensive compared to the other 2 plumbers. I will never use this company!!! They charge money for an estimate and tell you it's a service call not an estimate because they performed a diagnostic.

SCAM ARTISTS - STAY AWAY!!!! I had a flood in my basement trap. When they cleaned it out - they used a 1 inch snake to clear the roots.

the pipes were 4 inches. the flooding sewage came back.

they told me I need to replace all of my pipes to street bc there must be a crack and showed me sitting water with a camera - a $10,000 job NOT COVERED by insurance!!! thank god I got a second opinion. This was all a scam- the reason the water came back was because they didn't use the appropriate size snake!! They should have used a 4inch snake.

The fact that they always treat my property with respect is a big plus. As for the office staff, they are always nice and cooperative! I think that they are a little pricey, but it doesn't deter me from calling them.

Definitely 5 stars! We've used BZ Dependable on several large jobs. The first was replacing a decades-old boiler.

The second was replacement of the main pipe to the sewer. Both jobs were done extremely well.

The sewer line issue was the biggest. After years of water backing-up into our basement Bryan and team gave us several options to fix the pipe.

The first option we tried (and what was to be the least expensive) was thwarted by the no-show of a sub-contractor. We then decided to go with full replacement of the line.

Though it was more expensive, Bryan honored our original agreement and replaced the line at the original cost. Would definitely use BZ again.

The second time we called them was because our shower did not have hot water. They charged my 70 to come and do an estimate.

The estimate was for 405.. But when I called 3 other plumbers, all the other quotes were for half the price.

I've used them twice. Once, over 1 year ago, I had them install a Delta touch faucet.

Recently, my wife alarmingly told me the faucet was leaking. I did not try hard (enough) to find the source of the leak and called BZ.

Since I bought it from them I figured it was covered except for the $100 service call. I wasn't home when the plumber came and told my wife the hose was leaking and had to be ordered.

I came home from work and discovered how the hose was leaking...the collar had to be tightened. Duh.

There was no way the plumber did NOT notice this simple fix. Plumbing 101.

I called the sweet receptionist, Janet, the next day and told her the news. But it ate at me that I was being or about to be ripped off.

I called the owner and discussed in a rational manner what had transpired. After hemming and hawing he agreed to refund my service charge.

Hence, my shout out. We just bought our first home and needed the main sewer and water lines replaced along with servicing of the boiler and radiators.

Within less than a 48 hour turn around, they returned a day later at 9 AM to install a steam boiler and offered a great discount on a natural gas water heater, also long overdue for replacement, that we could not pass up!. Brian & his team, yes a team, while taking all precautions to advert the possibility of our family Maine Coon accidentally escaping the premises, completed the job within the day, again leaving time for instruction on maintaining our new system, and were gone by 4 PM, taking all "garbage" with them, leaving a spotless work area behind.

He did it without permit and didn't even connect the pipe with the main pipe, which I had to get a permit from the borough and call him up to fix the pipe when we were selling the condo. He never apologized and denied what he did.

And he never showed up after he got the permit to work on. We failed the inspection before the closing.

Anthony is irresponsible, rude, and dishonest person with no respect towards his customers. Anthony is very quick in determining the problem and proposing a solution.

We are very satisfied with his service work and would recommend him strongly. in the beginning anthony is very nice, but then he started collecting money for jobs that would turn out to not be resolved once he left.

he then doesn't answer any phone calls and avoids you at all costs. DO NOT recommend this guy he is dishonest and untrustworthy.

Our building said not many Plumbers are willing and able to do that correctly but they knew that Anthony and sons could. Got two issues: kitchen sink clog, bathroom sink faucett dislocated.

Call him and he showed up in two hours. He fixed both.

Cannot ask for a better service! Our building contracted this company to work with Joe K. Home Improvements to repair a major problem with the building pipe under my son's toilet.

Apparently our building is over 50 years old and the plumbing is failing. The pipe under the toilet had eroded and cracked and a horrible odor of backed up sewage was seeping out from under the toilet.

Joe K sent guys to remove break up the floor and remove the defective pipe as well as to reseal the floor with cement while Anthony and Sons' sent guys to remove and reinstall the toilet over the new copper pipe and reseal the bottom of the toilet. We are most grateful for the work of the both companies working in tandem.

I am glad did not have the bad experience that someone else had. We were referred to this guys named James.

He works after 4:30 and off the books. Comes to our condo and had to put in new plumbing in our half kids bathroom.

He used sub par materials and didn't even care about cleaning up after doing the work. We asked him to come back as there was a leak in the valve he installed under the toilet and he said that that is now a service call.

Really??? 5 days after installation? I can't believe the nerve of this guy. I had to go get a real plumbing company to come take care of this guys poor workmanship.

I was referred to Anthony by a trusted friend who is also a realtor. Anthony was beyond wonderful and worked with my condo building to coordinate a water shut off.

Even though the building hit some snags, Anthony sorted it all out with them. His guys were also great, and I was so impressed with how they treated my home with care and respect as if it were their own.

The work that they did was changing all of the water shut off valves in the unit, replacing a kitchen faucet, and installing a drain pan under a stacked washer/dryer. Anthony is a straight shooter and extremely fairly priced.

We ALL had massive issues with him Anthony. With respect my house, I had at least 5 subsequent leaks which cost thousands of damage, improperly installed boiler which had to be fixed 3 times and ultimately replaced (extr 15k of cost), air vents on our roof they were not installed and correctly, a drain pipe that was plumbed through my foundation and drain into the soil 2 feet under ground.

Took us years to figure out why our basement had an oder and where the water was coming from. I would love to sue him.

Needless to say, the GC no longer uses him. He should not have his license.

Purchased a property where they were supposed to fix the sewer piping. They went and dug to fix the piping.

They put the sewer drain in the way of the main steps. They also destroyed the steps.

They destroyed the lawn. On top of things, they didn't clean up!! They just left all the crap there for over a month now.

TODAY, they decide to go back after the city inspector called them to let them know he would start issuing fines and what'd they do? They just cleaned up the dirt. They didn't repair the lawn, didn't repair the steps, left piping for the gutter just there.
