I had Tony S who was extremely helpful through the process with me and most the time when I have a service performed I always think I overpay, but in this case the service provided and the price I was given I feel very satisfied with. Rooter Hero installed an HVAC system that didn't work. It's was a faulty unit from the manufacturer.

We spent over 20k for this inferior system. It took them two (2) months to finally replace the unit.

I've left them 4 messages inquiring when I should expect them to show up. They never responded.

They NEVER updated or communicated what was going on. STAY AWAY from this sloppy company!! They don't respect their customers!!! John-Alex Gonzales & Ron Garcia are the worst.

STAY AWAY!!! I received great service from technician Francisco Mercado for AC repair. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor and fixed it promptly.

He was nice to speak to and charged me fairly. Rooter hero and especially Cisco delivered impeccable service for the replacement of my HVAC system.

I had used them before for smaller jobs and when my AC went out they were amazing. Cisco provided an extensive inspection and provided options to either patch or replace the system.

This is at a condo that I rent in San Jose. My tenants were very happy with the professionalism and friendliness of Cisco.

I went with replacement and they helped select the most appropriate unit. I got a fair quote and moved ahead.

Since I have to deal with homeowners association, John Alex provided all the documentation that was needed to get approval for that. Next Alex and Victor removed and installed the new system in one day.

Cisco helped get a scheduled instal within days. Everyone was so professional, fair, and friendly.

For what I expected to be a nightmare, it turned out to be one of the best experiences. thanks to Cisco for coordinating everything so efficiently.

Don't go here. A simple rooter job turns into a minimum 5k job max 21k.

I called my union plumber buddy, done in 10 minutes the right way. They don't even put attachments on the snake.

Yesterday, late in the afternoon on Christmas Eve, our downstairs toilet started overflowing. I shut off the water valve and tried plunging...

the water kept slowly rising. It stopped just before spilling onto the floor.

I decided to try a "snake" but by the time I realized plunging would not work, hardware stores were closed. It was Christmas Eve.

Then, the overflow started. I cleaned it up as best I could, and my wife called Rooter Hero.

The on call plumber was already booked, so we had to wait. It got messier, but Oscar Carrasco finally arrived about 9:45 pm on Christmas Eve.

Oscar was super professional and easy going. He expertly diagnosed the problem, and discovered a clog between my home and the City's sewer main.

The auger could not free the clog from the outside sewer line cleanout, so he had to remove the toilet and use the auger from the inside. That did the trick.

Oscar cleaned up the spillage and replaced the toilet. Without question, Oscar's service was exceptional.

He is competent and works non-stop until the job is done. I felt bad taking Oscar away from his family on Christmas Eve, but he totally understood our predicament and wanted to help.

He's a great guy. Oscar left my house two hours later...

it wasn't quite Christmas Day... he promised he would enjoy Christmas with his family.

I can enthusiastically endorse Oscar and Rooter Hero San Jose. Called Rooter Hero today needing to have my mom's wash tub connected to her washer unclogged.

She is 82 years old and has stage 4 cancer and has been having to take bucket loads of water out every time she does laundry. Jose Romero and Armando with Rooter Hero, showed up within the hour and went above and beyond to get her sink cleared out.

Been using ABE for the past few years because they were considered our 'family plumber', so we thought there was a mutual trust and understanding to provide fair service. Contacted them last week for a bigger project (sewage cleanout access installation) and they quoted me different prices, and kept changing their conditions for the job.

First price included just installing the cleanout access. Then they said that was hard to access via the crawl space, and it's easier to dig a hole outside the house (which is true), but they almost doubled the cost.

Communication with the Van (owner) has also always been unclear and he even yelled at me once for asking for clarifications on when he'll show up. This wasn't a big deal as I understand plumbing is a tough job and work situations can be stressful at times.

I got fed up and contacted a different plumber who quoted me half the price and was honest about the work being done. They even explained the whole process and said whatever ABE told me was BS.

Turned out it wasn't that difficult to begin with. So I went with them and the job is done.

I wasn't gonna make a big deal about this but the dealbreaker was when Van showed up at my house (without prior notifications) asking to proceed with the job, and when I told him it's been taken care off, he gave me a rude hand gesture and stormed off. No explanation.

No clarification. It's like he knew he wasn't being honest and I found out eventually.

Wouldn't recommend this plumber at all and glad I found a better plumber for the future. Earlier today, I realized I needed plumbing support for my house.

I called Van at 8 o'clock and he said he would have someone at my house by 9 o'clock. At 8:40 AM, Hugo showed up.

I was puzzled at first and called another company. They came and told me the water heater was unserviceable due to a bad installation location.

I called Van back and was told straight up he couldn't & wouldn't help me before hanging up the phone on me. Terrible customer experience.

We have used A.B.E. Plumbing for many years, usually 2-3 times per year because we have funky pipes that clog.

The dispatch service is very professional and Van Tran is always on time, courteous and respectful. I have recommended A.B.

I think the prices are reasonable, and often less than other plumbers. I give my highest praise to Van Tran and his plumbing staff.

They are efficient, punctual, clean and competent. They replaced my old malfunctioning shower fixture in one day and even recaulked my whole shower.

And they replaced my kitchen sink and faucet and redid the flooring under my kitchen cabinet that was completely deteriorated. I was very impressed by their work ethic and professionalism! I will definitely use them again for any plumbing repair.

Our shower started to clog at 8PM on a Friday night. Of course it would, right? This is one of the few plumbers who will answer the call at this time, and the dispatch had Van call back right away.

It was an issue with the whole house backing up, and we were willing to wait until the morning and he came first thing and unclogged the sewer. He also has technology that can send a camera through to see the source of a problem, which can be very useful if a clog reoccurs.

Altogether, a very good experience with a nice guy and his crew, and prompt service. Thank you Van! He is incredibly rude.

Our dish washer broke when he had just fixed it. He told us to buy a new one after he just fixed it! We had an emergency sewer back up and flooding situation on Super Bowl Sunday.

Van showed up within hours, communicated his eta well the whole time until he showed up. He couldn't fix it right away since we were unable to find the drain.

Sent his guys over the next day. Meantime, we had found the drain.

In the same token, the owner, Van Tran was so good in following up how the work went. That's the "after Sales service" that should be extended to every customer.

More power A.B.E! I had an obnoxiously rude experience with these folks. I called up on the number listed on Yelp and I spoke to a pleasant lady who took down my details and said one of their technicians would get back to me.

Promptly, I get a call back from a person called Chu Van who said it'd coat me $95 to repair one clogged toilet. He said he can be at my place in 15 minutes.

After I hung up, I realized that I hadn't confirmed if $95 includes everything, so I called him back and asked the same. Also, I enquired if $95 is a fixed price to which Mr.

Van took great offense and he hung up on me. I tried calling him back and he wouldn't pick up the call.

Assuming there has been some misunderstanding and to give the benefit of the doubt to Mr.Van, my wife called back on the number listed on Yelp. She explained what transpired with Mr.Van and was told to expect a call back.

Within a minute, Mr.Van calls back on my wife's number and very rudely replies to her saying that he has an appointment available for tomorrow morning at 9am but he wouldn't be helping her. She was taken aback by what he said.

So, Mr.Van called us back just to convey that he won't help us. This is just pure spitefulness and we definitely don't deserve this sort of discourteous and nasty behavior.

I have no idea of the kind of service they offer but if their social skills are anything to go by, I would never approach them. I found ABE Plumbing through recommendation on Nextdoor and these guys are truly amazing.

We were struggling with our sewer line blockage for more than a month. Van and Tim did incredible job installing sewer clean out and cleaning the sewer line at my house.

First they removed the blockage through roof, then installed clean out, used camera to show the tree roots in sewer line. They used the snake multiple times to remove as many roots as possible.

They have all the high-tech equipments to do their job. Very professional, knowledgable, REASONABLE and punctual.

The company is a scam. After doing research company is out of a house in Milpitas.

I asked for a quote to change a was seal and install a bidet in my house. The quote was 200 dollars.

When the plumber had the toilet off he called me in and said the flange needed to be changed. He went out and talked to the owner and came back and said it will be between 300 - 400 because this could take time to get off.

He had the flange off in 20 minutes and said the boss was coming to help. He was going to get a flange.

Next thing I know 4 guys out house 3 guys in bathroom to install a flange. A total of 3 hours including 40 ;minutes for parts and the owner gave me a bill for 800 dollars.

Never said why he just said not by the hour but by the job. I would never deal with this company again.

I also reported them to the BBB. My kitchen and laundry room drains plugged up late on Thanksgiving Day.

My hubby called Van early the next day, and he was at my house working the problem within 30 minutes. The problem turned out to be a long-building clog in the sewer line under our house.

It did take some time to remove the clog, but he did it and at a very reasonable cost. We've also used Van in the past for less urgent problems, and he's always solved the problem in a reasonable time at a more than reasonable cost.

Van is now our go-to guy for plumbing issues. Good man.
