Definitely recommend using Blue Lion! I had a leak and blue line plumbing responded to my service query quickly and came out and repaired the issue the same day. 'Twas a dark and -- oh, who am I kidding? It was a humid Texas summer evening when I realized that there was a puddle forming in my garage outside of the little door that houses my water heater.
Since I know nothing about home maintenance, it took some asking anyone who would listen what that even was, and finally at ten in the evening, the issue was identified and I began browsing my neighborhood Facebook group for recommendations. The most recommended local option was Martin with Blue Lion plumbing...
so in my late night panic, I sent off a Facebook message. lol and behold, not longer afterwards I already had a response, and Martin came out the very next day to take a look, identified that both my water heaters had failed, and gave us a quote.
Nervously, because I know nothing about pricing for this kind of thing, I ran it by friends and confirmed, for replacing the equipment on fairly short notice, the price was incredibly fair. We ultimately decided to downsize our water heaters, so we let them know and they updated our quote in no more than a couple hours, and scheduled us for Saturday -- YES.
They can come out on Saturday, and Martin let me know it was specifically to be considerate of people who work M-F and can't easily take time off. They came right on time Saturday, were so polite and considerate coming into our home, and overall had pleasant energy as they worked without being boisterous.
They were done by lunchtime, tested everything, Martin answered all my questions in layman's terms because I'm not at all handy, and recommended someone to take a look at the water softener system if I ever needed it. Overall, they made a positive experience out of something that could have been disastrous.

John and Will were amazing! They came to my house to assess a hammering noise the pipes were making. They identified the problem quickly and fixed it without any issues- and for a great price.
They even explained some of the ins and outs about shutting off the water, etc. to me.
Thankful for such a great experience with Blue Lion! Woke up with lukewarm water and had a company come out and look at our water heater. They came out and looked at our breakers, charged $165.00 and suggested we just go ahead and get a new water heater, provided a quote and left.
I called Blue Lion for another opinion and a quote for a new heater. I provided all the work and warranty information from the previous company (I did not provide the dollar amount) and Blue Lion quoted all the same services and warranty for a way better bottom line.
I wish I could remember the young mans name who arrived to install the new heater, because he was great. Very courteous, knowledgeable and completed the job within an hour or so (including hauling the old heater away).
We had hot water back and the wife and daughter are happy again. HIGHLY recommend Blue Lion.
Really thankful to this company for detecting a concealed water leak. Over the past week, we had SAWS calling saying they believe we have a water leak due to spike in usage based on pattern.
Also we installed the Flume, a flow meter, which indicated we had a leak of 2 gallons per minute!! He came out, identified the leak, and repaired it. For all the work he did, they were very reasonably priced.

The water valve in my front yard needed to be replaced. The problem, it's rusted on and I couldn't get it off nor could my neighbor.

I am rarely "speechless" but today when John came he had a "brand new replacement tank" for our Flushmate Toilet.

I had tried to repair it on my own with no success. Based on recommendations from within our neighborhood, I called Blue Lion Plumbing asking for a plumber to come out to repair it.
Instead of immediately making an appointment to take our money, the customer service representative who answered the phone suggested I send pictures to help diagnose the issue before a visit. Once I did, they suggested I contact Moen first to see if the part is under warranty.
Sure enough, even though the part was installed in 2011, Moen stood by their warranty (kudos to Moen too!!!) and sent us the replacement part...for free! Thank you Blue Lion for providing amazing customer service and being focused on us instead of solely making money for your company. By doing so, we will definitely contact you again if ever needed! I needed a water heater and I can go on and on with my poor experience and I have tried to settle my very poor experience with Blue Lion but they do not agree with anything I had to say. Blue Lion would not budge a single inch.
Like arguing with a person that something is the color of white and they argue that the color is black and that is all they will ever see. I had a water heater replaced Saturday and after it was replaced it needed electrical work.
I texted them to PLEASE call me the day the water heater was installed on a Saturday, but they never did call and never replied to my text pleading for help until the following Monday morning. So, I cannot recommend them for the poor customer service and lack of any customer service.

I also asked if they could offer any sort of discount for the $2,025 water heater since I have used them since 2020 and I had referred people to them and again not a single dollar could be taken off they said. They said that was the best price and no discounts could be given.

I also lost my job in 2020 due to covid and as I said I used them and never asked for a discount but when this company could have really helped a person in need they just replied no. I have dealt with "shady" plumbers before, and Blue Lion is absolutely transparent and above board! Martin and his helper were friendly, fast, and did a fantastic job. They also completely re-set a toilet the flooring people had put in badly.
Absolutely recommend this family owned company!! They came and installed a water softener and an RO system, and did a good job. They did asked for payment before the project was complete, but were understanding of why that wasn't a good alternative for us.
They also claimed to have a warranty on plumbing related to the project, but now, several months later we've developed a leak from the RO faucet coming from our counter and they are refusing to even look at it claiming it's a "faulty RO system" sight unseen. I don't plan on hiring them again as I'm sure there are plenty of alternatives that won't miss these finer points.

I called at least 7 different companies. Most, it seemed, didn't want to deal with the frustration of a large job or felt ill-equipped to cope.
It was a three-day job which they performed with a high level of excellence. They were kind, informative and the price charged was more than fair.
They are 100% my new plumbing guys. Having recently purchased a home in SA, I was given Blue Lion's contact information by a renovator working next door to my Sister's home.
My primary concern was addressing those plumbing issues which had been documented in the inspection report I had done prior to house purchase. Heather scheduled an appointment for an estimate shortly after my call.
Martin arrived, reviewed the inspection report and then confirmed required work by checking out the crawl space himself. I also mentioned to him that I wanted to replace both toilets with new.
He quoted a price for the work and scheduled me for the following week. He arrived on time, quickly addressed and repaired the crawl space issues and, in so doing, identified additional problems which the inspector had not because the inspector did not access the crawl space under the deck adjacent to the house.
The leak from the kitchen drain/main bath sink drain was leaking badly. Martin opened the wall under the kitchen sink to discover some nasty do-it-yourself mess which included multiple plastic bags! Martin replaced that mess with new pipe.
He then pulled the first toilet to begin replacement with the new, only to discover serious issues with the lead drainage line. I saw it.
It was ugly. He told me what would be required to do the job correctly, but he did not have the necessary parts and would need to schedule another appointment.
What he charged for the work completed that day was LESS than his original quote even though the kitchen sink issue had NOT been part of the inspection report! To make a long story somewhat shorter, when he returned a couple days later as promised, both toilets had problems which required work WAY beyond pulling and replacing. I told him I wanted the work done right, not quick.
It took much longer than anticipated to complete the replacement of the two toilets, but I have the satisfaction of knowing that the work was done correctly. And that is precisely what makes Martin and Blue Lion Plumbing a 5 star business: the work was completed on time, professionally and courteously and I don't have to worry about plumbing problems going forward.

If you have a quote from another plumber, I would recommend you call Blue Lion Plumbing before you get the work done!!!! I went without water for almost 2 weeks (due to a slab leak) and had 2 other plumbers come out prior to Blue Lion Plumbing. I was about to get a loan for $10,000.00 to re-pipe my whole house, since the plumbers had told me that they were going to need to do a partial re-pipe which was going to be almost half of the price of the whole downstairs re-pipe.
I decided to just get a loan and be done with the problem, but my husband had been given a glowing reference by one of his customers for Blue Lion Plumbing. She told my husband that the plumber did a great job and he had been able to complete the job for her plumbing at around half the price of other plumbers! We decided to go ahead and try one more plumber before getting that loan and I'm so glad we did!!!!!! Martin Rich came out the next day (since I work from home I scheduled with him to come by any time he could the next day- if he could squeeze us in).

Really phenomenal experience! I've had several SA plumber/repair experiences with my house/appliances and by far Blue Lion plumbing was the BEST! Our water heater was going bad and not only did they give us a fair and fast online quote (which was one of the more affordable options that included a warranty) they followed up a few days later to double check if we had questions. We were actually saving up for the water heater replacement during that time.
Then, all of a sudden we came home one evening and the old water heater was leaking water into the carpet. I sent a message around midnight and had a response by 7am the next morning and they FIT us into their schedule the very next day! Heather and Martin are fantastic!
