Review and analyze now for company Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Greater Charleston and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Lee was so quick to arrive and get the job done.
I have never had such an easy experience with a plumber. I called them after 2 pm and he was there before 3.
Time is valuable, but that is above and beyond! Thank you! We'll be back when we need you. I've used Mt rooter here in the Charleston area for years, and in other states as well.
They always communicate effectively, quote fair prices, and great customer service. Thanks to Zak for helping us out today! Lee was incredibly helpful!!! He was very clear and honest on what needed to be done and showed us pictures of any damages to the pipes to back him up .
Very pleased with Mr Rooter Plumbers. Specifically, Lee, who was the plumber that we requested based on a review I read about his thoroughness and expertise.
He lived up to the billing, and I was very pleased how he resolved our slow flushing toilet issue. Definitely recommend.
Excellent service. Ask for Finley -- he is the best!!!! My house had some plumbing issues...
the water line was clogged. He fixed everything expeditiously and was also enjoyable to work with.
LEE IS THE MAN!!! We bought a house built in 1959. It's a great house in a great location, however we have had plumbing issues since we moved in this March (3/2023).
In short, everything works fine and then the toilets will begin backing up. We plunge, we turn alternate water on the attempt to flush the problem, and we have pretty much bought all of the Drano that Harris Teeter sells.
The problem corrects itself after a while and then, rinse and repeat, it occurs again. We have had two different plumbers come out to attempt to correct the situation, Pardee and another one, who's name escapes me.
Both companies ran an auger into the line and told me they had fixed the issue, they hadn't. My wife eventually called Mr.
Rooter and Lee, the man, the myth, the legend, showed up on 7/26/2023. Unlike the previous plumbers who just started augering, Lee played detective, found where the sewer actually came out of the side of our house (Editor's note: Both previous plumbers said the line came out of the front of the house towards the street.
Pardee even gave us a quote for a clean out valve in the front yard). Lee found the drain, he also found three clean out valves that had previously been installed and finally solved our issue.
I cannot give Lee enough credit, he was inquisitive, asked great questions, and solved our issues. Will I use Mr.
Rooter again, what do you think? Thanks for reading! Conner was amazing. He was knowledgeable and was able to fix the issue at hand quickly.
I would definitely recommend. Had a corroded washer hook up line, and I didn't want to break anything and flood the house, so I called Mr.
Rooter plumbing to see when they can come out and help. They were able to come out within 45 minutes and was able to fix the issue quickly with awesome expertise.
He even took the time to explain what he was doing and offered advice of best practices on other projects around the house. Avery was so knowledgeable and helpful, I only want to use their services from now on.
Thanks for the help! Our guest shower stopped putting out hot water. Dakota came out, arrived earlier than appt time, after asking if he could, and fixed the valve without having to do any major repair to our old Delta faucet or shower, thankfully.
He told me in advance there was a possibility that the valve was really stuck on and it might break, but that didn't happen! Whew! He has been to our home before to fix a toilet leak, so I requested him. He's great and I highly recommend him and Mr.
Rooter. Feel completely taken advantage of.
My bathtub was dripping and needed the shower cartridge replaced. The part to replace it cost less than $20.
I asked for a range of the quote on the phone but they 'really didnt know' without seeing it. I figured it couldn't be more than $100 for a simple task of changing out the cartridge.
They quoted me $325 for a simple fix??? It took him less than 30 minutes to change it out. I felt trapped because otherwise I was out $100 for them to take 3 minutes to tell me it would cost $325.
On top of that, he didnt even look at the bathtub before telling me the quote, so turns out, they could have given me a price range on the phone. Horrible customer experience.
Find someone local to work on your house! I used mr rooter's services when my toilet clogged and they were amazing! They also gave me a quote for the replacement of my very very old water heater. So when it died on me two days ago I called them and they came right away! Freddy is amazing.
Did a great job in the rain, was very nice and professional and I could not recommend him enough! Thank you We were very pleased with Mr Rooter. We had a disaster with short term rental guests and hired at her company and they came and could NOT fix the problem.
Because of their incompetence we then called Mr Rooter and they identified and fixed the problem quickly. They will be our choice from now on with any plumbing issues Awesome to work with! Came out quick, fixed the problem, and even patched up some things that I didn't know needed addressed! My hot water heater temperature control went bad.
I calle Mr. Rooter and they were out the next day.
Tech had to call Rheem tech support for advice and found the control needed to be replaced and was covered under warranty. Although the new control was basically a plug and play I preferred and felt more comfortable for a professional do the installation.
They were in and out in about 10 minutes and the controls is good. I have used Mr.
Rooter for several minor repairs and their response time is usually in a day or two and they've always had professional and competent technicians and leave you feeling like the job was done well. I will use them again for any of my plumbing issues.
I contacted them through their form, and got reply from the witin 40 minutes. So I was impressed at first on their reply.
But I noted that they offered to do it at around 4pm to 6pm, so I wrote back asking to have it after 6pm, due to being at work. 3 hours went by and no reply from them.
So I wrote back again asking about it, and still haven't got a reply. And now it is over 9 hours, and no single reply from them at all.
So I am not impressed with it. I made clear that I am harding of hearing and they could contact me by SMS or email, but they never responded back after I wrote back asking for slight change of schedule.
So if they cannot be bothered to check their emails, then sorry, they do not get my business, and I have to look else where due to their total lack of response. My kitchen sink clogged So I called Mr.
router the guy came start doing the job take for him about 45 minutes all he did he Snake it as I said it doesn't take more then 45 minutes he give me an invoice for $255 when I asked him how much your hour he said it's $65 so I asked him why you charge me more then 4 hours labor and You did not use any material to replace he said snake the line is different price I feel I got robbed by mr rooter plumbing company I will never used them any more and never recommend them to any one Gavin was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to fix the problem as quickly as possible. I can't say enough good things about the quality of work Gavin provided is and our happiness level with Mr.
Rooter! The tech Lee came to my door with a mask and shoe covering yet after going to assess my septic tank I was under the assumption when he went to his truck to clean his hands he was re-entering my with his mask and shoe covering, but didn't. The other issue is the fact that my bedroom bathroom ring curled in the toilet tank (which he fixed) so, me being the fair person I am informed him to just replace the ring.
Mr Lee did NOTHING MAJOR, WAS NOT IN MY HOME LONG YET I WAS CHARGED 225$!!! Be mindful that the ring in Lowe's cost 7.00$ and Mr. Rooter assessment fee is 95.00$.
This'll the following day I had to call to get a receipt which had lies on it that "my toilet was "rebuilt." He took my money then had me to sign on his IPad. They do not give you quote prior to doing anything! I DON'T WRITE REVIEWS YET, I had to do this one because, ppl are struggling and price gouging is REAL!!! Great service...repair person was clean, polite, and efficient..
We have used this company for a uncloging a floor drain a few times before. Today however we called them for a leaking hose spigot in the back of our shop.
We were informed that there was a $195 charge for after hours which is understandable. The techinican was professional and got here and fixed the matter.
After that however you can not trust this company ever. It was a 15 min repair and we were charged $270 for a part that was less than $30 including the sealant.
When I questioned this I was told that ownership sets prices. Well Charging us $270 for a plumbing part that cost less than $30 is beyond taking advantage and unethical.
NEVER use this company! Great job, prompt and professional. My problem was solved quickly.
Fast, knowledgeable, professional, and reasonable. Called on Saturday morning for a wildly leaking expansion tank and it was replaced before noon -- Eddie was great! I broke a cpvc pipe behind my wall.
I called Mr. Rooter and was able to make an appointment for the next day.
Freddie arrived right on time, gave me an exact amount it would take to repair the pipe and replace with pex pipes for both hot and cold. He was professional, efficient, and explained everything about the repair.
An outstanding experience! My kitchen sink would not drain. I had tried to use Liquid Plumber and other liquids to unclog the drain and nothing worked.
I called The Handy Man connection out to my home and they were unable to unclog the drain and told me that I needed a plumber. I found Mr.
Rooter and they came out and provided me with a free estimate and fixed the problem on the spot within a matter of minutes. I was SO RELIEVED.
It is not easy living with a kitchen sink that won't drain!!! Thanks Mr. Rooter! So, we asked them to check out our dishwasher and floor under it because we suspected a leak.
They did look briefly at the dishwasher and it was leaking , but they don't repair those leaks. We asked about the floor and if they could tell us the extent of the damage by maybe checking out the crawl space.
They said they don't do that either and suggested we go to a Restoration company. So we asked them to repair an outside spigot and they don't do that either.
So $65 later, no real solutions. I don't understand why they didn't tell us over the phone that they don't repair these issues.
we clearly told them what our problems were and they were so happy to come out but they couldn't fix anything. Thankfully, I have someone who can.
I just felt taken advantage of. John with Mr.
Rooter came to my house yesterday do to stopped up toilet & when plunged came up through tub. He was out 1/31/19 for same problem but looking @ receipt it's says very clearly I have copper pipes which are scaling (rusting & coming off in pipes causing tissue to pile up & clog line.
Am going to have all copper removed & replaced with something better than PVC. He did a lot of work getting it unclogged this time! I would highly recommend them for any plumbing need Will follow up after that work is done tomorrow to give an update Shout out to Neal! We had a major sewage emergency on a Sunday night, and Neal showed up, got right to work, diagnosed and fixed our problem and was on his way.
He was the only plumber we could get to actually come out here that night. Life saver! requested a price for snaking my drain.
They quoted almost $400. when I told plumber too expensive, he insisted on $70.00 service payment.
I didn't request a service call, I already had a plumber identify the problem. It's bad business to charge service call when you can't afford the service you need.

John came to help with what I thought wa a water leak in my pipes, he was able to quickly diagnose that it was not my pipes! He was courteous, professional, and I will definitely use the services from this company again! First class all of the way! Called Mr. Rooter on a sunday when the pilot on my 7 year old hot water heater wouldn't light.
After telling me they would charge me $45 to come out to Johns Island, we scheduled the appointment (that was fine with me; it was Sunday, and outside of their service area). The plumber was nice and seemed professional...HOWEVER...he spent 10mins in my attic looking at the pilot light.
When he came down, he said he was able to light the pilot, but we needed a new hot water heater. He failed to diagnose any particular problem, or explain the cause as to why our water heater was failing.
He charged me $98 for relighting the pilot, and quoted me almost $1500 for a new one. On Monday, I called several other plumbers to price out water heaters (fyi, the bids ranged from $975-$1198).
One, Keystone plumbing, offered to come out and give me a free estimate. Keystone spent over an hour at my house, found a leaking hose at the top, and a faulty thermocoupler.
When it was all said and done, I spent roughly $300 for the parts and labor for Keystone to fix my water heater. My boyfriend called Mr.
Rooter to tell them the situation. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1, because when the owner saw the invoice from Keystone he refunded our $98.
I will call Keystone Plumbing with my future needs since they didn't charge me $98 to #1: Not fix the problem, and #2: try to sell me an overpriced water heater that I didn't need. I never thought I'd find myself writing a 5 star review about a plumbing company, but here I am.
From the start everything was smooth sailing. The receptionist was very nice and explained the process they use; Mr.
Rooter comes out, listens to the problem, looks at the job, and gives you a quote. If you have the work done it's that cost and if you don't then it's a $35 fee (my guess this is based on your location.) I was also told Mr.
Rooter could come by in just a few hours, but once we had finished booking I was informed one of the plumbers could arrive in 30 minutes. Mr.
Rooter, aka Tony, arrived 33 minutes later; I appreciate accurate ETA's. He was dressed in uniform, shirt tucked in and you'd never known he'd already been on jobs that day.
He wanted to diagnose the sewage problem, not just snake it and run like the other plumbers the rental company had hired just weeks before. He quickly found the cause of the problem; roots were growing in the line.
He didn't mind that I needed to take pictures to document the findings and was nice to hold the camera steady while I photographed. With his jokes, Tony made light of the unfortunate reason he had to be there; sewage.
He was eager to help and worked hard. He had a very "can-do" attitude and was patient in answering questions.
Tony provided the rental company with an estimate to crack open the floor and fix the pipe and bless him, he had to not only deal with me, but the rental company kept calling him for more details as well. He's a very laid back guy thankfully.
He had the floor busted up, new pipe piece fitted and was pouring cement within a few hours. He's very tidy while he works, which is good because he only had an area of about 5ft by 5ft to work in.
A company is only as good as their employees and their work, if all of them are like Tony Mr. Rooter will be in business a long time.
As a military family, we live out of state and had an emergency at our rental property. Mr.
ROOTER staff was quick and polite on the phone, our technician was knowledgeable and gave us several options. Front office took payment over the phone and technician followed up with a drawing to show me exactly what the problem was for future reference.
Earned my trust amd my repeat business! I have used Mr. Rooter since 2006.
They have always been responsive and will do whatever it takes to get the job accomplished, big or small. My company manages many residential homes, single family and condominiums, and we always call Mr.
Rooter. We recently had a water heater die on a Sunday and Mr.
Rooter was there with a new one, replaced, and hauled off the old in less than 4 hours. If you want great service with excellent and knowledgeable plumbers, call Mr.
Rooter of Greater Charleston. I cannot say enough about this company.
We have used them now on several occasions for separate plumbing issues at our restaurant including a sink repair, unclogging/cleaning drains line repair and partial replacement. From their office staff and dispatch team to their service technicians - they are a step above any other maintenance company I have ever worked with.
It's always a bit stressful to have these issues and every tech has put me at ease immediately; they have always been on-time, and are highly efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and incredibly reasonably priced!...the cost is the same whether it's nights or weeekends, which is such a great service to offer because that's when these mishaps always seem to come up. After using them several times they are the only company I will use in the future or refer to anyone for any plumbing need.
They take pride in their work and reputation and it shows. From a business owner's perspective it is incredibly impressive.
I certainly hope not to need them again anytime soon :) but I'm very thankful that they are around! If you need a plumber for anything at any time, call Mr. Rooter.'''.
