He came out to give a quote for seismic shutoff valve installation. Easy to talk to, very professional.
I ended up having him install 2 seismic shutoff valves at 2 properties and a water restriction valve as well. I particularly like the company's use of servicetitan.com which shows technician's ETA.
Instead of waiting for 2-4 hour windows, like most other companies. I then was able to text with him directly.
He was prompt, clear and got everything done in timely fashion. Would def use Jazz again (in fact, I have another quote with them scheduled) and would def ask for Jose Bruno on my next calls.
We had Jazz complete a new air-conditioning and heating installation in our 1966 vintage single story home in Dublin California earlier this year. The work went well.

The bathroom sink faucet broke bought a new one and needed help to replace it. The pipes / water valves were showing corrosion.
This is a pedestal sink so easy access. Quoted $978(I bought the faucet) for new valves and pipe I paid $284 and won't be calling them - ridiculous price but they were very nice and showed up ?!! Had an appt today, Ryan came right on time and was very helpful on helping me and answering all my questions.

I'm not sure if they are locally owned or not but as far as HVAC companies, this is the best I have found in 12 years in the Bay Area. as long as they keep their prices, honest they will have my business.
Specifically the tech, whose name is Sammy I found very helpful. I think they are slightly more pricey but they are worth it.
They are prompt, efficient, and competent. I liked that they have a good online system so everything is clear and expected.

When I bought my house about 10yrs ago, I had Mirza and his dad(Jazz) put in new A/C units along with a half unit. They did a great job.

Then, Cody and his partner came and fixed it a few days later. They were also nice and courteous! Wow, It's very hard to find great customer service these days! Great to see Mirza has taken it to another level since the inception of Jazz heating and air.

Cut 2 stars because their customer relations person kept calling / texting me even after I told them not to bother me as I was working with another pro I have had the membership with Jazz Home Services for many years and not only had them maintained my old A/C but also had them installed a brand new Bosh A/C. Jazz did a wonderful job and the upgrade A/C works like a charm.
Today Jazz sent a technician, Jesus, coming to do the furnace maintenance. He was very polite and professional.
He helped replace the air filter and after the maintenance, Jesus throughly explained what he did. His service was impeccable.

Pressure Sales! I can't speak to their repair service or overall quality, but I do get the sense that their primary focus is selling AC units. Jazz arrived promptly when my downstairs unit stopped blowing cold air.
Like other reviewers mentioned, I was quoted $6,000 to repair my old unit, with the recommendation to replace it due to its age. This seemed reasonable enough.
They mentioned a 0% financing offer for 5 years, but insisted I schedule a sit-down appointment for what felt like a sales pitch. Despite my request for a quote over the phone or by email, I was told the 0% offer expired the next day, which added unnecessary pressure.
It all felt a bit like buying a car, and I've learned to walk away when I feel pressured to make a decision on the spot. Scott Sabado was great, very thorough in his findings and he also explained all of the options available to me without any pressure.

Communication was excellent during the entire process. We were a customer of Barnett Plumbing, and they highly recommended Jazz.
Both Carlos and Jose were efficient, professional and respectful. From start to finish the whole process, took less than 24 hours and I had two new "special order" toilets delivered and installed.

First of all they do not service mini split system so if you have one do not call them. I had to find out about this after three rescheduling and on the day of service they call me an hour ahead to tell me that they don't service as many split.
I choose them from Yelp after reading their review. Do not trust the review.
I have called them to service my mini splits system specifically, after scheduling, I got a call the next day saying that they ran out of tech and they cannot service the original time. After three rescheduling and wasted my time taking off from work, they gave me a call one hour before the last service time and told me that they did not service mini split and there's nothing they can do.
Good luck, using them for service. I scheduled an appointment for Saturday (11/2) only to have it canceled on Friday (11/1).
I rescheduled for Sunday (11/3) from 10am-12pm, but no one showed up. I called at 1pm and was told someone will call me 30 mins before they arrive from 2pm-4pm.
I got a call at 430pm asking me to schedule an appointment. I explain the situation and all I get is when is the next time I am available.
I said after 3pm, they said that scheduling window is 2pm-4pm. They asked if the weekend would work, I said i guess if thats my only option.
They give me a time of 8am-10am or 10am-12pm. I said 8am-10am.
I get a confirmation for 10am-12pm. I called back and had them change it to 8am-10am.
I still haven't received a confirmation. The constant rescheduling and lack of communication were incredibly frustrating.
The final straw was when they scheduled me for the opposite time slot I requested. I'm extremely disappointed with their unprofessionalism and lack of respect for their customers' time.
I would strongly advise against using their services. Called for a ballpark quote to replace the rubber ball and flap in a toilet.
Refused to give me a general estimate. Is it $80, is it $180, is it $400? Nothing.
Pass First of all the person came more than hour late to the appointment and gave no heads up. Second of all he had no clue how to work on the unit.
By his own admission he connected the wire wrong, then blamed it in on thermostat and then when I pointed that thermostat is okay he agreed and then went on to do some thing on the ac and said it's fixed now. When my husband said that it seems it's not working, he told us that it takes AC 5-10 mins to start.
He then left. Since yesterday since the AC has been "fixed" the temperature of the house remains 85 degrees.
It is freaking heat wave, I paid in advance and this is the service we get. I will be calling them tomorrow to come back and fix this, but going forward this will be the first and the last time I will use them.

Steve is very knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. He is also extremely thorough and communicates clearly.
He enjoys his work and his customers' happiness is his top priority. It is always a pleasure to work with Steve as he is hard-working and ensures that the job is done right.
On his most recent visit, Steve discovered why my kids' rooms were always hot in the summer and cold in the winter...the duct had fallen away from the unit and we were just losing 50% or our airflow. He repaired it and now we have great flow.

Amazing company! Bought a house recently and was not sure on the condition or any maintenance history on my AC unit. Saw jazz through yelp and they had a 50$ tune up special going on.

Reached out to several businesses because my ac downstairs wasn't blowing at all. They responded in a very timely manner and we set up an appointment.
A few days prior to my appointment I received a call cancelling my appointment. They asked that I give them a call to reschedule.
I called back within an hour or so to reschedule and the soonest they could arrange was 2 weeks out! With this heatwave that was simply not going to work out. I missed out on almost a week with no ac downstairs, waiting for my appointment date with this company only for them to cancel.
I ended up hiring another company (great company too! see separate review). My ac was not blowing cold anymore.
I went on yelp and found jazz. I told them my ac probably needed some Freon.
These guys came out and told me my system needed to be replaced and would cost 30k. He said I had a leak and if he filled my r12 it would cost 6k and it might only be cold for a few weeks.
I told him I was going to get a second opinion and he charged me a fee for the diagnosis. I can't remember but I believe it was $75.
I went on Amazon bought a hvac gauge kit and some Freon watched a YouTube video on how charge my system and recharged it myself for $200. Ac blows ice cold again.
It's been 4 months and still ice cold. I will never use them again.

My experience was superb from front to end - sales, installation, and back office. I was pleasantly surprised because these experiences are not always the case, especially when intricate projects are implemented and our hard-earned money is involved, we tend to take a bit of leap of faith even after homework.
I was glad to trust Jazz and they designed/installed the HVAC wonderfully. Quick, transparent, and responsible.
Also, it was assuring to discover that Costco sold HVACs and partnered with Jazz to be the implementers in our area, so they (Jazz) had a solid backing from a giant. All in all, Jazz Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing (Jazz) installed our home's HVAC and they did splendidly.

They have separated those two division now and while furnace maintenance was still reasonably priced the tankless flush was ridiculously expensive. I reached out to Jazz for the tankless - I did ask if they could also do the furnace, its so much easier to do it at the same time but they don't do furnace maintenance at this time of year.
They were able to flush the tankless hot water heater and gave me the member price which wasn't ridiculously expensive. Their customer service is strong.
The tech was knowledgable and very easy to work with remotely. He took pics of the work from start to finish and I am very pleased overall.

If I could give this business minus 5 stars, I would. They are crooks whose main goal is to convince you you need to purchase a new system, and they will do anything, up to, and including sabotaging your system to achieve their goals.
I have a dual zone system and the upstairs AC would come on, but wouldn't cool down the area. I called Jazz and they sent someone out.
We turned on the system and he told me I had a leak. He told me I needed refrigerant at a cost of $224.75 for the first pound, and $174.70 each subsequent pound.
He also quoted $249.05 for UV dye to locate the leak. He provided written estimate of $764, provided I only needed 3 lbs of refrigerant.
I looked up the cost of refrigerant and UV dye. Refrigerant only costs $309 for 25 lbs! I also found that UV dye costs $149, for 28.2 ounces, but only 1 oz would be instilled.
They were going to use about $45 worth of product, then charge me $745 for it. Absolutely outrageous! Due to extenuating circumstances, I went ahead and scheduled the repair with Jazz.
I had never had my furnaces serviced, and Jazz scheduled furnace tune-ups for one day, the AC repair for the next. The tech for the furnace tune-ups went into my attic, and was there for about 10-15 minutes.
He came down and told me the furnaces had been heavily used since 2009 when the house was built and he could see they had been running extra hard, and very hot. He said the tune-up might take care of the problem.
I was starting not to trust the company. I bought my house in 2009 as a retirement home.
I lived in my SF apartment and didn't move into my house for 10 years! I would come on weekends to check on the place for one day, then go back to SF. The few months that heat was needed, I only used one furnace, one day a week, set no higher than 68.
So I didn't understand where all this excess use and overheating came from. He went back into the attic for another 5-10 minutes, then came down and said it was too hot to work on the furnaces, so he would perform the AC work and cancel the next day's appointment.
He went to the AC, was there for about 10 minutes, then informed me my system was completely shut down, the blades wouldn't turn, and I needed a new system at a cost of $20,000+. I told him it came on fine and the blades turned when another guy from their company was here a week earlier.
He then said at first he wondered if he had done something to have caused it to stop working, but had found other causes. I found this strange because we had never even turned on the thermostat to see if the system came on.
I said "no" to purchasing a new system. His story then changed and instead of a new unit, I could get by if he replaced the compressor, but it would cost $5000-$7000.
I declined that also. I called another company and they came the following morning.
He opened the unit, looked inside, and immediately said the previous guy had sabotaged my system so it wouldn't start and they could scam me into buying a new one! In less than 5 minutes, he had reversed what the Jazz tech did and had my system running. He said I did not need a new system, there was nothing wrong with the compressor, and I DID NOT have a leak! He replaced a capacitor, and when that didn't fix it, he said something was restricting the flow of coolant.
He traced the system and found a broken part in the attic. He replaced that part and had my system cooling the upstairs in less than an hour.
He didn't say it, but I firmly believe the tech who sabotaged the outside unit, also broke the part in the attic, considering he was there for nearly 30 minutes, but did NO work on the furnaces. In the end the new company replaced parts, repaired the unit, and also performed maintenance on the downstairs ac unit.
They instilled 7 lbs of refrigerant between the two units. The total cost for all was less than Jazz was going to charge for refrigerant alone.
He also told me the $5-$7000 Jazz charges for the compressor is what it should cost to replace the entire unit, not the $20 000+ they quoted. Bottom line is if you don't mind being charged exorbitant amounts and having your system sabotaged to scam you into buying a new one, then by all means, hire Jazz.
I will never call them back to my home. Great speedy service and professionalism.

I've been having issues with our system and Sanny took his time to figure out what was going on. He found a leak and also told us that it could be our coils that need to be replaced.
Our system is old and the builders didn't use the correct system for our square footage. Sanny gave us recommendations and didn't pressure us to buy anything.

Some can be fixed via YouTube or a restraining order (I kidddd), but some serious problems like HVAC issues are better left to the experts. Having a three-story home I have dampers and motors to open and shut depending on which floor is being cooled or heated.
Unfortunately one of the motors failed - the important one that serviced the living room where we spend the most time. Instead of being that guy to DIY fix something only to make the problem worse, I decided to use Jazz.
5, 6, 7, 8... I mean I had seen their work vans all over I-580 and in my community and with a name like Jazz how could I not give them a shot? After all, Jazz sounds way better than that so-called "champion" place, you dig? The cool thing is they work on weekends as well with no extra fee.
In fact, the technician that they sent out was Scott Sabado who ironically came on a Sunday instead of "sabado". Scott took a look and said the damper motor needed to be replaced.
However, instead of pushing for me to make a decision on the spot, he opened the damper and told me to schedule when ready. Of course only a few weeks later at the tail end of summer I noticed that my AC compressor started sounding like a Harley.
I self-diagnosed and realized I had a bad capacitor. So I decided two birds, one stone.
Scott came back again, this time on a "Sabado" and tested the compressor and confirmed the capacitor had failed. He also noted that the power feeding the unit was low and recommended replacing the transformer.
He ended up fixing the damper motor as well with his spirit fingers and so we survived the summer boogieing like cool cats. He recommended signing up for their membership so I did.
Fast forward to the winter and we noticed that now our furnace was not heating the house. The Nest thermostats would turn on but no air would be coming out of the vents.
Therefore, I called Jazz to schedule an appointment. Being a member meant I had priority in regards to scheduling.
I called on a Saturday and they were able to send out Manuel Renteria out on Monday. Manuel noted a concern with the control board and that the power appeared to be intermittent.
He respliced the wires and then the furnace started up. He explained that this was a temporary fix and that the control board would need to be replaced and that a transformer would need to be installed in the near future.
We can talk about the developers that constructed our community and how they installed these HVAC systems, but I don't want to be sued lmao. The thing I appreciated was that just like Scott, he did not push me to replace the board either.
Sure enough, the furnace worked for 3 hours after he left before it stopped working again. The control panel needed to be replaced.
The next day I called Jazz and they had Manuel come back the next day. He replaced the control board and installed the transformer like a Boss-eria.
Now the furnace works like a charm. He did say that my fan motor may need to be replaced in the future due to some notable oil leaks...
let's just say that I decided to kick that "fan" down the road for now because inflation, yo. Jazz is a local firm that is very responsive and has honest and knowledgeable technicians; they're the cat's meow and all that jazz.
I just hope not to see them for a long time... aside from the annual tune ups included in the membership of course! * Jazz gives out regular updates on their technician's arrival.
They even have a link to GPS track them if you want to be a stalker. We were referred to Jazz to repair a tankless water heater and circulating pump that were no longer functioning together properly.
Our regular plumber had replaced the pump and a part in the water heater, but had no success in completing the repair. I called Jazz and they promptly had Tony come out to assess the situation.
I was told this would cost $99 and would be applied to the repair, but when Tony confirmed that the problem to our 11 year old system was not repairable, Jazz waived the fee and provided a detailed description/proposal for the replacement work and equipment (a new tankless water heater with a built in circulating pump). I evaluated the proposal over a couple of days, and became comfortable that the proposal was appropriate and the price reasonable.
I called and requested that Tony do the work, as I'd been very impressed with him. Two days later Tony installed the new water heater-- usually a two person job, but he handled it great on his own.
Tony was very easy to work with and super capable. He and Jazz were responsive, responsible and efficient.
I'd recommend Tony and Jazz for any plumbing job and will certainly use them again. Carlos Mendoza diagnosed and repaired our leaky toilet in one visit.
He was polite, professional and communicative. We are so happy with Carlos and Jazz! Very disappointed in Jazz.
They took my call late at night (answering service) and the chirpy young lady assured me that a technician would be there during a set time slot the next morning. The next day, about an hour into the slot, I got a call from the dispatcher that my technician would be there 3 hours later than planned.
I had taken off of work to be home, so I was frustrated. What made it worse is that they made no attempt to honor their original time commitment.
The last straw was when my spouse started receiving auto-text messages from them as well (they had somehow stored her phone number from a previous inquiry; tied to our property address). The entire experience was frustrating.
I called another HVAC company who came right out, was professional and fixed the problem in a hour. Avoid Jazz.

They were extremely slow to respond to chat, and I am not sure what the status of my appointment is. So far, working with Jazz for the first time has not been a good customer experience.
It turns out I missed a voicemail from the company informing me that their online scheduling system is buggy and that they are double booked. I am now waiting to get confirmation from them about rescheduling.
Finally got confirmation about some questions and am at the final steps of scheduling an appointment, I think. Just want to thank Technician Bryan Westall for responding and resolving my motor issue with my furnace.

Jose Bruno came out and immediately diagnosed that the tapping sound was not due to a leak but due to loose strapping of a pipe (he also used a heat gun to back up the diagnosis). He offered a solution to open up the ceiling and clamp the pipe or to live with the tapping sound.
At this point, I decided to not fix the issue, but I appreciated the quick and honest opinion. No doubt that I will go back to Jazz for any plumbing needs going forward.

The team that came to my house yesterday did an excellent job installing my new heat pump system. They were on time and answered all my questions.
The cleaned up all the areas they worked in. I couldn't be happier Wow I almost got scammed by Jazz! Quick summary: they told me theres a crack in the heat exchanger and I need a new furnace soon.
Then they have a sales pitch about new heat pumps, replacing all my HVAC vents, new UV lighting etc etc. Turns out, my furnace has a 20 year warranty that will replace cracks (they conveniently didnt tell me) Then I call a carrier HVAC tech to do the warranty claim and a second opinion.
They looked and said no cracks, everything is perfectly fine and scams arent uncommon. Jazz is a scam I had the pleasure of working with Carlos Mendoza from JazzHR, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Carlos provided superior service from start to finish.
