Review and analyze now for company AZ Air Conditioning & Heating and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Representative Tito Guzman was honest. listened carefully and made great suggestions.
It saved me a lot of money. great service for our business thank you charlie for all your help and diligence.
made the process so easy and went above and beyond to educate us on proper cleaning techniques. I had used this company for almost 10 years with no issues.
However, after an appointment for the annual maintenance for our AC units, they detected a bad motor on one of the units. This was on Aug 17, 2024.
The tech said a replacement part would be ordered and should be received within a week or so. Over the next 2 months and after numerous unanswered phone calls and text messages, they finally confirmed the part was in, and service would be done on Oct 11 (almost 2 months later!).
But it turns out they had "received the wrong part" and would let me know when they got the correct one. (I don't believe this) An appointment was next confirmed for Oct 28.
After waiting to contact them until the end of the "window" when the service would be done, I was informed that they were too busy and had to push my appointment until the next day. A serviceman finally came the next day and replaced the part, but unlike they had promised, he was not a maintenance tech, so I did not get the maintenance done as requested.
In addition, even though the tech finished the repair in less than an hour, I was charged $600 for this service call. Thankfully, the part was under warranty.
To sum up, it took this company over 2 months to complete the service call, which was actually never completed because of their incompetent service and scheduling. They never pro-actively called me to inform me about the status, and their "call center" gave terrible information, when they were available.
I understand that the company was sold, that many employees have left and the employees joke about all the complaints they receive. I used to rely on this company but will never call them again, and urge everyone else to stay away.
COSTCO CUSTOMERS BEWARE! Sham of a company! $22k wasted on an ineffective system. These sleazy people promised the moon and couldn't deliver.
Once they install your system, they won't (if ever) come to service or repair it. After their initial complimentary service they sold me some "family plan" that is supposed to give me priority with service and repairs, it was a lie! They repeatedly are no shows for service appoints and what one service tech that showed up to replace my faulty thermostat simply swapped it for another faulty one.
I still can't trust my system to read the temperature correctly and when this system was put to the test to cool my home during this most recent (early September 2024) heat wave, it simply failed to do so. I feel so defeated and duped because of this company.
I have no idea if my situation qualifies for a complaint submission with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, but I am certainly motivated to try. Price was scammy high, work was subpar, business practices shady.
I hired them around 6 months ago. We found their company through Costco and they gave us a price of 16k$usd for a daikin 1.5ton minisplit with 4 inside radiators.(cheap Chinese) 1/2 the crew was doing sloppy work, the AC pipe covers didn't conform to my wall and they didn't purge the line with air before soldering the joints, which introduces fine metal dust in the system, which lowers the lifespan of the system.
For the price you would expect top notch quality, but no. The price is high because this company specializes in selling and maximizing profit, not providing a good service.
There was a typo in the final contract where they spelled my name wrong, I didn't want to sign the warrentee if I'm basically signing something wrong. They said OK, and I never heard from them again, even though I called them once a month for them to email me another contract.
They are dirty businessmen. I would not deal with them again.
At least the thing works. But this company is the average scammy type you will most likely encounter.
Short version: JUST AVOID. Either a sleazy, dishonest technician or a sleazy company that will try to get as much money from you as possible.
And/or... unbeknownst to the customer, this company outsources to other subcontractors because the guy who showed up isn't even from AZ Air Conditioning, but he showed up during the time frame and asked about the job I contacted AZ Air for?????? We received a quote from a company called Universal Heating & Air (LIC #1069748) in the end.
AZ touts their 33 years in business while the technician who showed up was telling us how he (his company??) has been in the business for 8/9 years so you aren't getting who you think you're getting. Seriously, avoid both.
Long version: Contacted AZ Air & Heating through Google for dryer vent cleaning and potential AC maintenance and they sent someone for an estimate in person today, Monday 6/3. Wound up only needing dryer vent cleaning (roof vent on a 1-story house) and they quoted us $700-800!!! WOW.
Red flag #1. Initially, it was difficult getting a price from him and kept getting vague answers like he didn't want to give a price.
Then he kind of waffled the more my husband asked about the price--ahh less than $1000, $700-800, maybe about $600, good price, won't be too expensive, blah blah blah. Red flag #2.
I was in a different room while my husband was talking to the guy and he eventually told him it was too much, so the technician agreed to do it for $500. I could hear him pushing to have the job done today which gave me really bad vibes so I went to tell him we didn't want it done today and we'd get back to them.
His face immediately changed and kept trying to "explain something to [me]" and said other contractors will charge $700-1100 for the same work (~1hr of work according to him), and to "try me"-- he gave me this whole spiel twice. So blatantly dishonest.
Mega red flag #3. When that didn't work, he asked what our budget is to have it done TODAY.
Red flag #4. I told him I wasn't the least bit interested in this kind of price negotiation and we will call them when and if we want the work done and he finally left looking quite unhappy.
My husband asked for a quote on paper and we received one for $450 (4 different prices wow). So, in the end, I did "try" him and contacted 3 other contractors for a quote to get this done.
$185-250ish for the same work and received professional, transparent replies on what will be done plus the cost unlike the answers provided by the person who showed up on behalf of AZ. Don't waste your time or money.
This review reflects my entire experience of obtaining an in-person quote from AZ Air Conditioning & Heating, including their responses for this job (attached). Something to consider: since many of the short, 5 star reviews shown on their page come from accounts with barely any reviews, if you place any stock in those, you should scroll all the way down and look at the "Not Recommended" reviews as well.
Many, MANY 1-star reviews from similar accounts that got flagged by Yelp so take that how you will. What should have been a great experience turned out more of a frustration.
In defense of AZ, we were told they don't repair floors or walls upfront but they should include in the their price and hire person(s) who can repair holes that are left when they remove a floor furnace. It cost us $1500 extra to have this work done.
The two men who came to do floor and wall repair after AC units were installed did a great job in repairing floor and wall, the floor guy discovered that first installation did not remove floor furnace from underneath the house. This required a crew to come back out to remove.
Next issue was when crew installed our two minisplits they didn't follow Manufacturer guidelines and inspector failed job. This required rescheduling and getting another crew to do movement of both units .
They dispatched one guy to do this when original crew was 3. They would up sending a second man after I called to express my concerns but the crew didn't have all the parts when moving units, which left work to be done on ANOTHER day to finish the job.
After calling and getting another crew scheduled, The guy who came to do the finishing work didn't know the full scope of job. He wasn't advised everything that needed to be done.
Essentially he did in our opinion a somewhat sloppy job. The final look doesn't look like work a professional should do.
In total we have had to schedule/reschedule at least 6 visits for what should have been one. This has caused us to take each time a day out of our schedule for someone to be at home.
Each time the window was 8-4pm. Be careful when choosing AZ and ask lots of questions and get everything you want done in writing upfront.
We went with AZ because Cosco does usually a good job of vetting their outsourced contracts. I had to add a further review of AZ, as I couldn't see doing business with such a terrible company, I have been getting bids from reputable companies.
Not surprisingly, I was told that some of the work that AZ insisted "HAD TO BE DONE", was a complete and total lie! It would have cost me several thousand dollars more to have these components replaced and it was ONLY to add profit to the bottom line for this predatorial business. I have no respect for a company like this, and it sincerely also reflects on Costco too as they allow them to run a business this way with their approval.
If you are in the market for a new HVAC system, go ANYWHERE ELSE, these guys are absolutely terrible and have zero remorse. #WhyCantIRateThemWithZeroStars? They are happy to take your money to install, but if the equipment breaks down it will take them 'weeks' to come out and look at it.
I used them for two AC units and spent about $20k with them. When the equipment broke down and we were left with a non-working AC unit during 90 degree days they said it would take two weeks to 'have a look'.
When I told them I would get someone else to repair it they tried to throw their 'warranty' rules at me. When the family can't sleep and the old person in the house is starting to suffer, the last thing on my mind is the warranty.
Very dissatisfied with their policies. Don't use these guys.
There's better options. Manuel and Giarardo did phenomenal work! on time and they installed the unit start to finish like clockwork! This is the worst company, the worst.
My elderly mother purchased what is supposed to be a brand new a/c unit from them. It took months for them to install it.
Luckily, they did install it just before the recent heat waves. Unfortunately, the unit doesn't blow cold.
She keeps it blowing 24/7, and her condo won't cool below 90 degrees. She called them, I've called them, and they don't return calls.
When they do answer the phone, they say they'll have someone come out in 2 weeks, but that doesn't help during the heat wave. I suspect strongly that the unit they sold is used/refurbished.
Ivan is a liar. Monique is a liar.
They are swindlers. Avoid them! I can't say enough about the honesty and integrity of the two AZ Air & Heating service technicians (shout out to Charlie and Hugo) that came to my home following a regular service.
They showed me the problem and explained why the recommended service wouldn't work. They were able to find a better solution and completed the job expertly the same day.
My Heat Pump installed by AZ is slightly over one year old and heats when it is supposed to be cooling. I reported the problem early in the day during their advertised working hours and was told it was passed on to the scheduler.
After not hearing from them for several hours, I called again and got a pleasant man who indicated that someone could be out in a week or so. There didn't seem to be much surprise or concern that the unit they selected and installed was non functional.
I got rid of a working 40 year old air conditioner for this? It was like what am I supposed to do in the mean time? Stay in a hotel? Not acceptable. Hire adequate staff to meet your commitments.
This company's representatives appear to be experiencing some turnovers. Every time a different agent came to my house within the past 6 months.
I was also expecting a call from an area manager to address a question I had, but unfortunately, my calls and emails have gone unanswered. This is quite disappointing, especially considering my long relationship as a customer with them.
I am setting up an appointment with a different company to make sure they value me as a customer. We are ecstatic about our alkaline water drinking system from EcoWater.
I used to buy bottled water and once I became aware of the microplastics and nanoplastics that leach into the bottles, I knew I needed to make immediate changes. My water treatment specialist, Julie Riness, took the time to educate me on the condition of the tap water and solidified my fear with plastic.
I truly enjoy the delicious taste not only for drinking, but coffee, tea, cooking and not having to haul those pesky bottles! I used to always see visible residue on my hot water heater for tea. I'm happy to say it's gone.
Thank you, Julie, I will forever grateful. I tell everyone I know they must call you.
Julie Riness 562-881-2928 Chris did a great job. Timely and efficient .
Chris arrivesd on time and quickly took care of everything I've been without an my AC working for over 3 weeks. That's how long their wait is.
I've waited this long to only have the technician come back and charge me $504 to fix the problem and 3ints after the technician left unit started doing the same loud sounds and not working!! I've called the office multiple times with urgent messages and still no answer. It's really a horrible company to use if you need someone done ASAP.
ZERO STARS!!!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!! These people have been giving me the runaround for almost 3 months and my unit STILL doesn't work. I have called the offices so many times and they *keep* promising that a manager will call me back...
still haven't heard a thing weeks later. Extra fees are being added, the machine still doesn't work, and the level of incompetence at this place is undeniable.
Run and never look back. I hope this place gets shut down how they run their business, it's outrageous.
Do not use this company! They came and installed a water softener and drinking water system at my house. Great no problem.
The guys were kind and explained everything. Had a problem a couple months after install and they came and fixed it.
Problem starts when you need to buy replacement filters. The drinking water system they installed has filters that need to be replaced (easy enough) I call them place my order.
Waiting a week nothing comes call them they tell me to call post office with the tracking number they provided me. I call post office they get back to me the package shows it was lost.
I call AZ back they tell me to forward the email from post office to them. I do that thinking now they have proof they'll send me my replacement filters.
Nope! I call them multiple times. No one can help me there is apparently only one person there named Monique who can and after about 4-5 calls I finally get on a call with her.
She's nice says no problem we'll send you the replacement and we'll even send the tracking so that you can track the package. I wait another week no tracking sent to me.
I call back and surprise surprise she's not available. They tell me she'll call me back I never got a call back.
Sad I really liked them when they first came out those guys were professional and did a clean job. But now that I've waited over a month to get my damn filters and still nothing.
Totally unacceptable. Do not use this company! IF YOU ARE READING THIS - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I do not usually write Yelp reviews but felt my experience with this company was so awful that here I am...
I contacted AZ Air Conditioning & Heating to help fix a leak in my house's A/C unit in late July and they didn't "complete" the work until over 6 weeks later, and after consulting with another A/C company, I found out they completely misdiagnosed the issue and the $3.8K I paid them was a complete waste (invoice attached). I attempted to contact them afterwards to remedy the issue and they completely ghosted me - I called these guys every day for over 2 weeks straight only to talk to the receptionist each time, never got a call back from someone with knowledge of my issue.
Was also weird during the initial process to fix the leak, they probably came out to my house 10 times to inspect the unit before they even got to work actually fixing it, such a huge waste of time. It's incredibly frustrating to feel like I'm getting ignored by a company I'm basically begging to pay to fix my A/C unit.
Very odd situation, never had this happen before. When I realized that my A/C unit was still completely broken a few weeks after AZ A/C & Heating had "fixed" the leak, I contacted another A/C company who came to my house, correctly diagnosed the issue, fixed the leak in under a week, and only charged $1.8K to do the job CORRECTLY.
If you DM me, I can give you the contact info of the Company who fixed my leak (they were great). Seriously, do not use this company unless you want to overpay and deal with headache after headache.
Zack, the owner of this company, is not a person to be taken seriously and you do not want him to fix your A/C unit lol. Trust me! Buyer beware! This is a poorly run, scam business.
Tried to sell us a $20,000 A/C unit . Stay away and find another reputable company.
Christian was great! Exceptional technician, knew what he was talking about and explained everything clearly. I called twice to get a service on my AC both times no one showed up.
I had to pay someone to wait at my house both times. This place is the worst.
Would never recommend it to anyone. BEWARE OF AZ AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING.
AZ sold us an HVAC system and installed the unit in November 2023 before we began our home renovation. When it came time for the city (LADBS) to inspect the system, the city inspector issued corrections.
This was on 4/16/2024. For the past 4 months, after many phone calls and emails, the correction is still outstanding and the permit is not approved and remains "open." We've been told this could be problematic when the time comes to sell the home.
There are plenty of alternative companies that will provide you with the same products. We wanted to share our experience so you can make an informed choice - especially when it involves spending this amount of money.
I think AZ Air Conditioning may have gone out of business. I have been calling for 2 days straight (over 12 calls total) and sent an online request.
Nothing. I know it's the middle of summer but you have to be able to field phone calls and be responsive.
Both their Instagram and Facebook profiles haven't been updated in over 9 months. Maybe it's phone issues but I have tried 3 different phone numbers listed for them.
It rings rings rings then states no one is available and I am unable to leave a message because the mailbox is full. Anyone know a good, dependable air conditioner company that covers Simi Valley? I may need to find a new one.
Very disappointing I had to make an appointment 3 months in advance They gave me a time frame of 8:00 to twelve they never showed up. I called 2 times one time at 1145am and another time at 1202 pm they finally told me they had an emergency that theycalled to change my appointment time but they never called me.
They wasted my time. These guys are nothing but crooks I called them and another company called Universal came out and did a hard sell They collected a deposit from me,then wouldn't refund it when I canceled the project I purchased my AC unit from AZ Air Conditioning through their relationship with Costco about 4 or 5 years ago.
Their service was fairly good at that time and I have had minimal issues with my unit since then -- until now. Last week, the unit stopped working - it's just blowing out warm air - and they will not answer calls, respond to emails, or return the messages I've left for them.
I've called at multiple times of the day, tried to reach different departments and people, but no one answers. It's been 3 days now and I'm convinced they are either too busy selling new units to service existing customers or have a major customer support issue.
My system came with a 10 year warranty -- but if I can't get ahold of the company to have them diagnose what's wrong with the unit, then the warranty has no value. For anyone evaluating this company, I would think beyond whether they are capable of installing air conditioning at a fair price -- the question is what happens when you have a problem with your unit -- will they be there when you call? I wish I had thought about that when I was evaluating companies.
For what it's worth, I've also tried to contact the person who sold me the AC and he's no longer with the company. We're so grateful for our Air Conditioning unit, which we've had for about 10 years! The maintenance team has always taken such good care of us.
Today, Luis serviced our unit, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and provided outstanding service. Thank you! After exposing this company for bad business practices and writing a Yelp review in 2023 which reflected my bad experience "Roni " contacted me to offer me a refund and gave me a service/credit for future work.
Guess what? It's almost a year later and they have never sent that refund check. This company is all about the money grab and they do not tell the truth.
I think giving them a year to return my money was fair and yet they couldn't even manage that. Look elsewhere for air conditioning and heating service or repair.
Miguel and Aileen are the BEST! I had a whole soft water system and reverse osmosis put in. Bailey and Brian did a great job installing my soft water systems they look beautiful and work great.
We had issues with the reverse osmosis machine making too my noise and they came out to fix the problem right away. I can always depend on them and that is the best feeling.
Chris the technician was fantastic. Very communicative and efficient.
Only issue is trying to schedule an appointment with AZ-takes a long time to get on the schedule. Awful, just awful.
I have NO idea how they have such great reviews. After a couple weeks of trying to get through to get an estimate for repair of my air conditioning, when they finally called, they told me they can't come until July 17.
Over 2 weeks just for an estimate? Mean while I'm roasting to death. And, the people who schedule are extremely condescending and rude.
Because I'm a tenant (who has lived at this residence for 8 years), they treated me like I had no say in the matter and, thus, my feelings didn't matter. Even though I'm the one living in the home during a July heatwave! Remember, this is just to get an estimate, not even to schedule the repair.
They said, "oh we are really busy"! Well I understand that they are busy but, maybe say something like, "unfortunately we are not available for over 2 weeks so do you want schedule an appt. anyways?" They just told me the date like I had no say in the matter.
BUT I do actually. When we get a new unit early next year WE ARE NOT going to use AZ Air that is for sure!!! I bought two air-conditioning units from these people in 2019.
They did not install a water pump and so now that it has broken down they are refusing to do anything about it without me paying $150 service coffee fee just for them to diagnose it. They did an improper installation and now they want to charge me more to correct which should have been installed properly the first time.
Complete bait and switch rip off! WOW !!! Where do I begin. I am so ecstatic that I chose this company.
The entire process from start to finish was incredible. We had a very old system that needed replacement.
After receiving some bids from other companies, we knew immediately when we met with our comfort advisor that this was the company for us. Me and my husband hired this company to install our brand new Lennox system.
This is top of the line equipment and we feel we paid a great price for. Day of installation the crew showed up on time and installed our system.
Their team was so efficient and polite. Once they were finished with everything it was like they were never there.
After the installation the process for inspection was smooth and easy as well. I had a few questions regarding the permitting process and Aileen from their office was able to answer and help with whatever I needed.
We had our installation finalized by the city and passed with flying colors. I cant say enough great things about this company.
Big shout out to Rey G. my comfort advisor and Manuel the head Forman for orchestrating such a seamless installation.
We are extremely happy. Christian came out to service my AC today.
He was very professional and took the time to answer my questions. Highly recommend Christian and AZ Air.
I went with AZ Air for my Heat Pump installation in my townhome as they were the partner that Costco used on the westside. My feelings are mixed on the service and installation process.
The day of installation they were not able to successfully run the system and had to send out installers the next day to finalize the system and get it working. Further since my installation was in August 2022 the system was only validated for proper AC flow at the time.
When it started to get cooler I attempted to use the heat and it did not work. I had to have someone come out and service the heating.
They were able to help however the issue was not fully resolved and the HVAC was heating extremely slowly (blowing cool air for 5-7 min every time the heat turned on). So again two months later had to call someone to come out and service the heating.
While all the servicing appointments were happening over the past 8 months, I was also dealing with the permitting and city inspections team. It is April 2023 and I am still waiting for a fourth city inspection as the installers/repairman continue to miss important inspection points and failing the inspection.
As a result I have had eight incremental appointments to have a repairman come out to tweak small things and city inspectors come out to inspect. It is a little ridiculous that they have yet to fully remediate the issues and pass the inspection in 8 months and I've had to deal with all the scheduling and making myself available for the appointments.
The team has also not been very helpful or detailed in gathering and supporting my submission for a rebate with LADWP. I received a correction notice and they resubmitted on my behalf without fixing any of the LADWP corrections.
Attention to detail is lacking--even with simple areas like spelling my name and address correctly on the forms submitted to the city. Overall I'm fairly dissatisfied with the service and the length of time to finish the full installation and permitting.
Not sure why Costco continues to use them as an installer. This company is a JOKE.
I picked them to fix a leak in my AC unit based on a the overall four star rating on Yelp. The initial visit by Tony was a good experience so I decided to go with them.
Then the nightmare began. A team came out six times to do an isolation test, which could've been done in one visit, because their supervisor's miscommunicated the tasks to them.
A month since the initial visit, they proposed a $4k plan to replace the pipe/lineset. Without retesting the system again, they reloaded expensive Freon only for it to all leak out in a short period of time.
A few months later (AC only been used a handful of times as we were mostly away), the AC / heat stopped functioning again. I called them back for follow up as covered by the warranty - FIVE more visits and numerous follow up phone calls later, they insisted that a new leak was the cause and wanted to sell us a whole new repair service.
At this point I knew I could not trust the company. But I still had a little hope left so I called them to discuss a solution only to be ghosted.
Luckily a friend of mine introduced me to his family friend who owns a HVAC. They came over took a look at the system and said AZ air conditioning was either completely incompetent or fraudulent.
He walked me through it and showed the leak was clearly from the connectors around the machine not in the pipes/line set. There was oily residue from the leaked Freon around the connectors even I could see it.
So AZ basically charged us $4k to fix something that wasn't broken, and didn't fix the actual problem. I have not dealt with a less professional company.
I feel bad for their field team. They were very friendly but I could tell them too were fed up with the mismanagement of the company.
Having to come to a house five times to repeat tasks and make no progress must have not been fun. This makes me angry and do not want to let the company off the hook so easily.
Please do not use them as I figure out how I want to proceed. I have been doing business with this company for a few years.
They have installed mini-split systems on 2 houses and done maintenance on a HVAC system on a third. I was a member of their monthly service club.
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them. Something has happened recently that has changed their level of service and value to be dramatically worse.
I was sold a lesser known brand of mini-split with a wifi control. Turns out that there is no wifi unit that will work for this set-up.
I was charged more than $500 for a non-existent item. The entire deal (more than ($15K) was agreed on because of a wifi capability that is not available.
Also, the permitting work was not completed. I have been trying to find resolution with AZ since last summer on this, and they have stopped responding to my emails and phone calls.
Today I cancelled the service with them and I share this with you so that you look at some other options for AC and heating Three years on, and I feel it's time to revisit my review regarding AZ Air's stellar services. Firstly, my HVAC system has been running flawlessly - it's been an absolute comfort knowing it's reliable even during those peak moments.
I've also seen a noticeable drop in my summer electricity bills, a testament to the efficiency of my new Lennox AC. AZ Air's commitment to maintenance is unparalleled.
Their professionalism, expertise, and respect for my home continue to stand out. I appreciate the little details: wearing shoe covers, masks, and treating my space with the utmost care.
After each visit, I receive a comprehensive report on my system's health. On a recent check, I had a few questions and had the pleasure of speaking directly to the service director, Roni.
His insights and assurance were top-notch - a true reflection of the company's dedication to its customers. In summary, AZ Air remains my go-to HVAC superhero team.
Looking back, choosing them was one of the best decisions I've made! :) The day after our HVAC installation, we had a dangerous gas leak. Had to call SoCal gas to seal it and couldn't use our HVAC until we knew it was safe to do so.
During installation was very stressful bcuz sales man told us we only needed 1 air uptake and technician urged us to have 2 for safety. Unreliable and misinformed sales man.
Thankfully they threw in the 2nd uptake complimentary, but overall, unprofessional and unpleasant experience, we doubt their quality of their services and product. In addition, sales man said we would have 9 new registers, but technician said this was not on their order.
In addition to waiting on the phone to speak to sales person and then manager and then technician for 2nd uptake vent issue, everything was a headache for also needing to do this for 9 registers missing and then the next day, the horrible dangerous hazardous life threatening gas leak. Now 6 months later, we have water leaking from our HVAC Roof Pipe, called emergency number and left voice mail 2x, no response.
Turned off HVAC and freezing. Unreliable product and services.
Not professional. Not prompt.
Does not own up to their promise of a quality and safe product and services. Non quality.
Dangerous. Hazardous.
Need a full return because we do not trust this product and service. I made the right decision signing up with AZ to replace my existing 21 years old AC system.
My entire experience with AZ has been pheromonal. Everyone I had directly in-touch with in this project (the owner, crew, technicians, admin) are highly professional, skilled and organized.
The crew worked as a highly coordinated team! I am very impressed with their ability to get such a big job done on the same day - they showed up at 8:30 am and finished about 6 pm and plus the working areas were fully protected with plastic. They also provided end to end services including my HOA submission, pulling a city permit, scheduling and supporting third party and city inspections - such a piece of mind! I would highly recommend AZ if you are looking for true professional and high quality services for your project.
Chris the service tech was great at explaining what he was looking at and testing. He was very knowledgeable and efficient.
Recommended for service and inspections. AZ Heating & Air is my go-to for anything HVAC related.
They sent out Chris to service my equipment, and he was amazing. Thank you so much Christian was great! He explained everything clearly and was very thorough.
Will be using AZ Air going forward! Thank you so much! Extremely bad service will never use them again they tried to abuse of the fact that my mom is elderly After 30 years, my old gas furnace was noisy and not heating the house efficiently anymore. So on a recent trip to Costco, I inquired about replacing my heater.
Alyse from AZ Air and Heating, who I spoke with at Costco, promptly got AZ in touch with me. AZ quickly set up a home visit with their sales representative Mike M.
During his visit, Mike explained all of our options for choosing a new furnace, pricing, warranty and installation procedures. Mike was friendly, informative and very professional.
He took his time to answer all of our questions, and since Costco contracts with AZ for their HVAC sales and installation in my area, I felt confident that AZ would stand behind their work. On the day of installation, Marino and his assistant from AZ Air and Heating did a wonderful job removing the old unit and installing the new one.
They arrived on-time and were very professional throughout the installation. Since a new smart thermostat was included, Marino made sure I understood how to use and program the new unit.
He also made sure that the new furnace worked properly, explained its functions and answered all of my questions before leaving. I highly recommend AZ Air and Heating.
Thanks to Mike, Marino, and the rest of AZ's generous staff for their great customer service. Pedro was amazing! He installed the unit quickly and explained everything to me about changing filters and warranty.
I feel like my crew did good clean work and everything looks great. Air-conditioning unit is great.
I am deeply disappointed in this company. They came to diagnose my furnace, which wasn't working and found out that the thermostat was no good.
Since they didn't have a replacement thermostat, they wanted to come back and charge an extra fee for putting in a new thermostat! This surprised me. Given that he didn't have the part, I assumed that a good business would waive a fee for a return visit, and that the diagnostic fee would be applied towards the repair--which in my experience with appliance repair services is quite common! To add to the problem, the service person misquoted the original diagnostic price, saying that I owed them $149 when I was quoted $99 on the phone.
I refused to pay up front until I could verify the $99 quote. (It was verified by their in-house rep).
I asked them to recommend a thermostat that would work, and they said that they would get back to me about a recommendation. They did not.
When I called them back to follow through on my request, they hadn't done their homework--they didn't have thermostats that they could recommend. All they could talk about was me paying the diagnostic fee and that I'd have to pay an additional fee for them to install the thermostat -- a job which would take a skilled technician 10 minutes! When I reiterated that it was my understanding that the service fee would go towards any repairs that were needed, they told me that wasn't true (Even though most reputable companies I've dealt with over the years have this practice) They also said they had a recording of our original call to verify everything that they were saying.
( including the $99 dollar diagnostic fee of course)I felt totally offended by this(recordings of 2nd parties are not Kosher in California without permission of the person being recorded). I then got another representative to agree to install the thermostat without an additional fee.
I felt vindicated that they were honoring a consumer that they messed up with. But then , minutes later, a service manager called me back and said that I would have to pay an additional $99 to have thermostat installed.
The gall of them! In any case, the bottom line is that the company refused to do business with me any further. The truth is that they didn't complete the job and didn't follow through with me.
Would anyone in their right mind want to do business with these people? Altogether an unpleasant experience. I do not recommend them Roland came to service our air conditioning and furnace.
He was very knowledgeable and provided us recommendations to help our units to continue running efficiently. He also was very clean and respectful of our home.
Great service. We had a unit replace at a unit I'm renting when it came to the install people were nice.
Shortly after install we started hearing banging noise when it was being used and called so they can come and take a look. The appointment was weeks away but what could you do if they are busy.
So the tech comes today and I was asking him about the unit and if it's because lack of air and he agreed. I then told him that is it possible that it's doing what it's doing because the intake isn't to correct size.
He responded with I'm not going to sit here and tell you my move by move and you're not going to tell me how to do my job!. I was blown away by his response because I had only asked him that question and I was trying to inform him only because he wasn't the tech who installed originally.
His name was Jesus and I wouldn't recommend this company just because there lack of response after a new install and the issues they keep trying to avoid. Serviceman Chris provided excellent and professional service today, June 18, 2024, on my A/C & Heating System and Condenser.
Additionally, Chris made a solid recommendation regarding a surge protector, which he felt would be beneficial to our family in case of a power outage. He was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the System and Condenser.
He is definitely someone who I would like to have service my System on a regular basis. Chris' 5-Star performance is well deserved!! We had requested a quote for a Daikin VRV electric heat pump ducted air handler system.
After a bit of research and some neighbors using AZ, we were confident they could execute the installation. The in-person consultant Dushaun Tucker had excellent communication and prescribed system air handler products which would improve air flow and satisfy the BTU/cfm air flow requirements for our homes layout.
The HVAC system included 4ton Daikin VRV heat pump to support a 2-zone system with separate ducted air handlers for upstairs/downstairs. 2ton slim ducted air handler for downstairs, 3ton slim ducted air handler for upstairs, and air flow splitters within new flex ducting.
After the consultation, Dushaun continued to excel in open communication and was the driving factor in our going with the quote provided. The installation process was where the review loses one star, as the installation team did not have similar open communication with the customer as I had expected.
The overall installation time was 3 business days from start to finish. Let me say that Pedro and his crew are one of the most hardworking, thoughtful and professional crews I have ever had the pleasure of working with!! Immediately upon arrival Pedro introduced himself and establish a great relationship taking time to review the job and ask if I had any concerns.
He is a great listener and communicator. The crew was extremely hard working and masked and clean up everything in a professional and systematic manner.
He explained all the paperwork before he left along with contact information should I have an issue. And best of all he was so patient and caring explaining how the nest thermostat work.
The crew of 6 got the job done in one day. We love the new HVAC system and the HERS test was a breeze ..no pun intended.
Dushaun was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was incredibly knowledgeable and informative about all aspects of HVAC systems, and he took the time to walk me through each step of the process.
He was patient, friendly, and never pushy or sales-y. It was clear that he had my best interests in mind and truly cared about finding the right solution for my needs.
Dushaun helped me find the perfect HVAC system for my home, taking into account my specific needs and budget. He was transparent about pricing and options, and he never tried to upsell me or pressure me into a purchase I wasn't comfortable with.
He was always available to answer my questions and concerns, and he went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. Overall, I am incredibly happy with my experience with AZ Air Conditioning & Heating, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services.
And if you have the chance to work with Dushaun, do not hesitate! He is truly the best of the best. Thanks, AZ Air Conditioning & Heating, and thanks, Dushaun! We are original owners of our home in Thousand Oaks.
For 40-years we did not need; nor even owned an Air-conditioner. As we aged in years, our comfort zones became more demanding.
Thank Goodness for AZ Heating & A/C Service. The installation & maintenance plans are perfect.
Our last maintenance technician (Jesse) was very knowledgeable about our unit and took his time making sure all checks were working perfectly and meeting specifications requirements. I would strongly recommend this company for any repairs or installations needed.
Alaska Air conditioning...Alaska AC came to our house to repair a downed system. We were not there, but a renter let them in to check it out.
They ended up replacing the electric fan motor in the heat exchanger, the unit with the condenser in it sits out side. They charged us $1000.
The electric motor retails for under $100 and it takes 30 mins to install. When i called they just said thats the price.
These people are not who you want fixing your A/C problems. Barry Lee The company was WONDERFUL to work with! We contacted Costco who referred us to AZ.
[Now I can see why- Costco only refers companies that are very professional and stand behind their work.]. Their sales rep George provided info & explained the products available.
Their installation was INCREDIBLE! Pedro and his crew worked diligently to not only install the new heater, but to place it in the attic. They were finished within 2 days! The entire team was exceptional and very professional: their attention to detail, with so many things that needed to be done properly, and cleaning up each day.
When all was finished, I was amazed by what they did in my attic! We appreciated their hard work so much, that we "pushed them" to take a break in the afternoon (with donuts we bought). otherwise they would have continued working, with only a lunch break! The office was helpful: Ohad in accounting, and the owner, Zach.
NOW I have a big fight with American Home Shield! I have had good dealings in the past with AZ air conditioning and unfortunately, this last experience left me very angry to say the least. It took them 3 weeks for them to come out to even look at our system to see what the problem was.
So after about 3 weeks of waiting with no AC, they did come and fix the problem. They told me I should flush my system and that would probably fix my problem.
Which cost 4x what the initial fee for them to come out. Fine.
They had fixed the problem so I paid it. But 3 days later, the problem happened again and my AC was out.
I had called for the technician to come back since it was obviously a temporary solution. When I called back to make an appointment it was another 3 weeks for them to come to fix their problem.
The person scheduling had ZERO sympathy or recourse and their only response was, well if that appointment does not fit your schedule I have another appointment 6 weeks out. There was NO feeling of responsibility of fixing what they did.
Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend this company at all anymore. I selected AZ Air because of their association with Costco, even though they were the highest quote I received.
The rebate from Costco helped to make up some of the difference. The installation seemed to go fine but after about a week I heard mice gnawing in my wall near the outside equipment.
I could also hear them in the return air ducts. I inspected the outside and discovered that the installers failed to seal the opening in the wall where the coolant lines run through.
I bought some rodent repellants and after a couple of days decided the mice left so I sealed the opening with expanding foam. Unfortunately, several weeks later when running the furnace, the smell of dead rodents could be smelled throughout the house.
We thought there wasn't anything that could be done so we tolerated it and hoped it wouldn't last too long. We are now seven months after installation and the smell still can be detected so I called AZ Air to see if they would clean the ducts to get rid of the carcasses.
I was told a manager would call me in one or two days but it is now almost a week with no call. AZ Air's unwillingness to correct a problem that was clearly caused by their installation team is disappointing and totally unacceptable.
Jose was professional, punctual and knowledgeable . I highly recommend this gentleman a total pro .
E shearer 100% recommend We wanted to take advantage of the energy tax write off and rebates. AZ was so helpful.
They gave us an estimate then patiently followed up for 6 months until we were ready to buy. They are a qualified installer via Home Depot which gave us confidence AND we used our Home D credit card for 24 months no-interest financing.
AZ was so efficient. They installed a new HVAC in 1 day and were very careful in our house including tarping floors and furniture even though it wasn't a super messy job.
They tested all of their work including every vent in the house. They also gave us the info we need to submit for rebates (LADWP etc) and they coordinated the payments through Home D.
The unit was tested by a 3rd party and passed with flying colors. AZ also scheduled the city permit process which is needed to get rebates.
It was a big scary purchase and AZ helped us through it. Kudos to Nino for managing the crew and leaving our house cleaner then they found it.
What an easy company to work with. MIke M.
was our rep who held our hands and walked us through our options, totally tuned into our needs. He designed a system that was right for us and our home.
At the install, Byron G. made suggestions that improved upon that and implemented those creative changes to give us a clean installation experience.
I liked how the whole team, from sales to completion, worked together with our best interests in mind. We have used the services of AZ for three homes now, we feel confident with their service.
Tito and Zac have our complete confidence Recently our air conditioner stopped working, it was installed in 1996 so it was probably time for it to be replaced. We got a few quotes, then we approached Costco and were connected to AZ through them.
Kevin McNerney was sent by AZ, he came home, inspected the AC and then sat down with us and spent over an hour explaining with images, what exactly was wrong and the various options that we had to proceed, he didn't immediately jump to the most expensive option but he let us think about it and decide and get back to him. We met on a Thursday, he went home and sent us a few quotes based on the options presented to us.
I texted him back the next day about which option we wanted to go with but by the time we decided it was already Friday afternoon and we needed the system up by Wednesday as we were going to have some friends over who were staying with us. From then on Kevin was a man on a mission, he worked through the weekend, we exchanged text through Saturday and Sunday and he helped us with the financing and finalized everything by end of Sunday.
On Monday he found out that we needed a email from HOA for permits, and we provided the email but the permits could not be obtained by Monday. He sent reps next day to ensure the permits were obtained and the appointment was set for AZ to come out on Wednesday and set things up.
On the day of they came early morning and set everything up by 6.30 in the evening. Everything was taken care of and things were working perfectly.
Since we went through Costco we got a decent cash back and a free smart thermostat. The gentlemen setting up the system were thorough professionals and explained everything to me before they left.
Overall an amazing experience working with Kevin and the rest of the AZ team. No son responsables de sus trabajos.tube k llamar a otra compa
