Custom contacted us after a few various searches in Angie's list. They told us they would give us a free estimate for all the repairs needed.
They were scheduled to come to our house at 10 AM. They called in the morning to ask if they could come earlier since they were close by.
We appreciated the fact that they contacted us and agreed to have them come earlier. They told us they would be arrive around 8 AM.
Staff called 30 minutes later when they arrived at our security gate for entrance. Staff were very friendly and polite.

I needed a new shower valve. They quoted me of $1,600 for a job I got done the same day for $200! Their guy did absolutely everything he could to drive the price up.

It's not worth the stress now that there is someone I can trust. Yesterday I woke up to a small leak in the water line going to the toilet.
The shutoff valve was broken, and within an hour water was spewing into the room. Water soon started to pool in the bathroom as well as the kitchen on the other side of the wall.

I needed water heater replaced and their technician Danny gave me an estimate and answered my many questions with patience and knowledge I was 100% satisfied with cost and work. At 1:30 this afternoon I called Custom Plumbing with an urgent request for help with 2 clogged sinks in the kitchen, hoping we could get help sometime today, but unfortunately the best they could do was tomorrow @ 8-10am.
At 4:30 they called to RESCHEDULE to Thursday, needless to say not acceptable and yet too late in the day to make other arrangements! If your need is urgent you would be well served if you looked for another Company! A word to the wise. Let me preface by admitting I am a first time homeowner and some of the fault falls on me for not knowing what to do in the event your sewage pipe collapses.
My mistake was not waiting for my insurance adjuster and not getting a 2nd quote. Those mistakes cost me 9k out of pocket.
Where I think they are at fault is for overcharging me and intentionally rushing the repairs and making me pay upfront with a promise that they will work with my insurance to get me close to 90% reimbursed. But when it came time to work with my insurance to get the work covered they were very uncooperative with my adjuster.
At first ignoring requests for a break down of cost and then they provided 2 different contradictory break downs until finally they just stopped replying to her questions altogether. A third party was sent out by my insurer who estimated the work 6k lower than what I paid and I had a second 3rd party come out and confirm I was overcharged by around 5-6k.
Both sources felt the overage was coming from labor charges. In hindsight, it occurred to me that its very questionable that he insisted I pay upfront for labor that hadn't taken place yet.
Again that was my bad for paying it but still unprofessional and shady on their part for sure. Don't use this company, it will save you money, time and a headache! After seven years of service my tank-less water heater shut down with a code 11 alarm twice in three days.
Now, I have to confess that during all that time I never had it flushed or serviced. Mark and Matt came out, flushed the unit, cleaned the filter and bumped up the water pressure on my pressure valve.
They were very conscientious about making sure they cleaned up and that things were working as expected. I set up a bi-annual service agreement with Custom Plumbing.

The guy was very nice and cordial, but they charge a book price for each job. After contacting them about a poorly flushing toilet, they came out, pulled the toilet, ran some water down the pipe and said there's no clog, BUT, your flange is set below floor level and it's not making enough contact with the wax ring.
I can put a flange extender on for $1535.00. I said that seemed like too much, but he showed me the book with that price in it.
Turns out he ran to the store, bought 2 wax rings and a new flange extension for a total of about $18 in parts, came back put one ring on the existing flange, put the flange extension on top of that, tightened it down, put the second wax ring on the new flange, set the toilet on top, screwed down the toilet, reconnected the waterline and it was done. couldn't have been more than 20 mins tops.
And for that it cost me $1535. And, my toilet doesn't flush any better than when he walked in.
He told me to run some CLR through it. Look elsewhere for plumbing repair.

He was working next door, came over after job was done, suggested a treatment for a rust problem in our 4 year water heater that two other plumbers had looked at and only suggested purchasing a new one of a different brand.
Three plumbers suggested by the manufacturer did not return our call. The manufacturer denied we had a problem.
Ricardo scheduled us at a time of our choosing. He came out to do the simple repair but showed us why it would not work.
He then devoted the whole day, got the water heater replaced under warranty, and made sure everything was working. He was an ultimate professional.

The first technician to come to our house was Jacob (big guy), he was very friendly and seemed to know what he was talking about. My husband was very impressed and made an appointment to have our kitchen and bathroom faucets installed, we were given a quote of about $1008 to install 2 faucets, but my husband understood that Jacob was going to install new valves as well as the faucets.
Before the appointment my husband ended up installing the bathroom faucets leaving only the kitchen faucet to be installed. I called the office to let them know that we would not be fulfilling the original quote, they said that was fine.
The day of the appointment Jacob was not the technician to show up, Tony was the technician. I explained to Tony that my husband had already installed the bathroom faucets so he only needed to install the kitchen faucet, which would bring our install down to $377.
After Tony had installed the faucet, he said that he was going to check the water pressure, something that had been done a week prior, as we had a whole house water system installed and they had checked the pressure and it was fine. Tony told me that we needed a new regulator and that it would cost $700, since I don't know anything about regulators or plumbing I said okay.
Later that evening I was washing some dishes and when I let the water out and turned on my disposal all the water came out onto our floor. My husband called Custom Plumbing right away and they sent someone out.
Seems Tony didn't connect everything completely under the sink. Now we have some water damage under our sink, not bad, but there are bubbles.
The men that came out that night wanted our home owners insurance information to file a claim to repair the damage. Not sure why our insurance should have to pay for damage caused by the company's technician, we did not give them the information.
The next day I noticed that the cold water was hot and the hot water was cold, so I had to call them again and they sent someone else out. They were going to send Tony, but I said no, so they sent Rambo.
Rambo corrected the cold and hot water and when I asked him about the price of the regulator that had been installed he said he would have charged us $135. Which got me thinking that maybe Tony charged us that much because our original quote was for $1008 and that is about what I ended up paying when it should have only been $377 for the kitchen faucet.
Then Rambo proceed to check the pressure (without a pressure gauge) and told me it was too high, so he lowered it. Well, we ended up having hardly any water pressure in the house.
When the Kinetico rep came to check the equipment that had been installed a few weeks before he also checked the pressure (with a pressure gauge) and it was 30, he increased it to 60 and now we have water pressure in the house. He also told me that they would have charged $199 for the regulator.
All in all we had a terrible experience with Custom Plumbing and nobody has ever called to ask about the water damage. I personally think they owe us something.'''.
