Nightmare fuel with this quote I got. I had a very simple project I needed checked out.
My front yard irrigation valve was leaking a bit. I just needed it taken out(cut off) and closed off.
I didn't want to mess anything up with my system so I thought I'd get a professional quote and have them do it. I ended up going with a landscaper for $50 before I even got this quote..

Service was quick - we sent the request in last night - and very friendly! This is the second time we've had to completely replace our garbage disposal and it was cheaper this time than with the company we used over 8 years ago. Highly recommend! My family has been consistent customers of Option One for more than 15 years because their service is reliable and they don't play games with my money or my time.

Andrew was the "lead" on our job and showed up extra early every morning, and called us with an update at the end of almost every day. He and his team busted their butts to get our job done WAY faster than we could have ever expected.
We had to move out due to the large scale of our re-pipe and new sewer line, and they were there continuously every day getting the job done. Thank you Andrew! You were a blessing during this difficult time of having to move our family out of our house.
You made a terrible situation just a little bit better! Onto the review portion....We found one of our bedroom floors soaking wet one morning and called around trying to find someone who does leak detection. Option One showed up the next day (after the first company we had come out couldn't do leak detection, even though what's what we called for) and located a leak in the hot water line under our slab.
Once we went over options, we were more than confident in choosing Option One to run new supply lines through our house. They had to move the supply lines from under the slab into the attic to avoid digging up and trenching throughout our whole home, which was recently remodeled with tile no longer in production.
Once they opened some walls, they found our sewer line was also cracked. They ran a scope to check how bad it was, and showed us there was cracking throughout.
We knew we had to run a new sewer line while we had everything open (we got a second opinion and bid, to be sure, but Option One was slightly less expensive and both came to the same conclusion that a new sewer line was needed). We continued on with Option One after the great experience and relationship we already had, and they finished running all new supply lines and a new sewer line all in less than two weeks (including the time the remediation company had to come dry out the bedroom, and do asbestos testing and remediation).
This was a massive job and I can't complain about one single thing they did. We ran into some issues along the way (not because of them, but because of how our sewer line was run) and they were able to come up with options, present them to us, and let us decide how to proceed to complete the job in the best way possible.
Option One will now be (pun intended) our first option for any plumbing issues, repairs, installs, or any type of plumbing we need in the future! Thank you Andrew, Tim and all of your team! I highly recommend this company * It's all in choosing the right company! I had a warranty company come out for a leak in my wall and they were out here for an hour and 15 minutes and never called or came back for the job . I went on Yelp and chose Option One Plumbing for their 4 1/2 star rating.
They got right back to me and set up an appointment the same day . Their Tech Tim was courteous and gave me three options to best fit my financial situation.
I should have called then first. Jamie Avalla ? They completely misdiagnosed an issue in my house that would have costed me $4,000.
I called about having a plumbing vent clog for my kitchen sink (gurgling, sink draining slowly) and the plumber who arrived did not seem knowledgeable. Before he actually listened to what I was saying about a clog in the vent, he tried offering me coupons for a water heater and garbage disposal replacement.
I had to ask him to snake down the vent only if he could get past the 90 turn in the pipe (my 25ft snake couldn't). After snaking, he told me he couldn't get passed 15ft and he noticed "mud" in the vent.
He diagnosed a corroded cast iron pipe and quoted me over $2800 to open an exterior wall to fix the vent pipe and fix the pipes under my sink (Cost doesn't include brick and mortar repair + drywall). He couldn't give me concrete evidence as how that material could get in the pipe and seemed to be guessing.
I called a different plumbing company to get a second opinion and found out I'm actually on plastic, not iron like Option One said. All I had was just a clog.
Total cost was $500 to unclog and fix my pipes under the sink. Option One almost made me open up a wall for something that wasn't broken and then made me pay $133 to run a snake with no solution or evidence supporting their diagnosis.
They are only interested in up selling. We had a main sewer line clog that others were charging upwards of $400 to clear.
Option One came out same-day, cleared the clog and had us back to normal in under a half hour for far under the others prices. Crazy quality and great employees who don't upsell you like others would.

Option One Plumbing responded in a reasonable time to provide a free estimate. They determined it was a slab leak and provided a written estimate.
While there, they engaged with a company they refer to for water mitigation, as there was significant water leaking into the flooring and drywall. After a few days (working with the home owners association, and my insurance company) I accepted the plumbing estimate and they arranged for the same estimator (Derek) to do the actual repair.
Before he started I had to provide full payment. It was a lengthy repair but the work was completed successfully, and estimate didn't change.
He discovered the leak was from the common ground pipe and not my condo pipe, and provided detailed pictures and explanations of the repair, which made it easy for me to get the homeowner's association to agree to reimburse me for the repair. I would definitely recommend this company for plumbing repairs, and will use again! Fernando was very informative and kind.

Devon was Amazing! Tim came over and gave me a FREE estimate to put a new bathroom install for toilet and vanity. He was great! I hired Option One! This is completely unrealistic I just had my whole house re piped with PEX and at that time they quoted me $1,500 . To do all of the drain lines new and all the main lines to the septic.

I had a clogged drain in my kitchen sink that I couldn't unclog myself after trying everything (garbage disposal overload issue). Option One offered the lowest price to come out and fix.
The person taking calls and scheduling was very polite and professional and he was able to get someone here quickly. They use an automated alert system to keep customers informed of appointments, etc.
The plumber actually texted when he was nearby to let me know he would be arriving shortly, he was super polite and thankfully did not object to me asking him to wear a mask. The best part...

I live in a 55+ community and am widowed. Technician Eddie did a good job, but when he brought out Tim, with the camera, to scope my backup issue, Tim tried to BULLY me into having them put a clean out line in for $4,000.00.
He said no clean out line, no service. I was fortunate that the property management company came up at the same time with another plumber who resolved my issue.
When Tim realized he could no longer bully me, he stormed off and drove away when the other plumber called him on his sh__ __! Great service, super prompt, and courteous. Highly recommend! Andrew was awesome!! They price was fair and very up front.

The technicians name was Jason!! He was fired after this! I guess you may want to check on things before offering a explanation that's false!! Option One Plumbing was great, they were able to make an appointment the day and time I needed this week, which was after hours. Fernando was very helpful and explained my plumbing options and what I need to consider to keep my lines clear in the future.
Needed to have a hose bib replaced. Had quotes up to $300, which i felt was ridiculous.
Option came out and quoted $125. He was here for 15 minutes and did a very professional job.

Sammy helped clear out our clogged up kitchen sink. great service Devin, the plumber that came out to fix my mother's two bathrooms, left the bathroom and the guest bathroom in shambles!! Tons of dust covering furniture, bedding, shelves in the guest bedroom.
And he damaged the paint and baseboards in the bathroom. My mother and I paid $4000+ for Option One to fix our plumbing.
But obviously, they sent us an amateur who is NOT details focused! BTW, it took us several hours to clean up the bathrooms, shelves and bedding of dust and dirt. UPDATE as of March 20, 2020 Larry, the owner was awesome to make this right.

This is my second time contacting Option One for a different problem. Derrick came out and was super friendly and accommodating.
He noticed the problems I was having and understood that I had already taken a day off from work just to resolve this issue. He knew I needed someone to check the line, so he called Timothy to come out and run the camera through the pipes.
That's when we found a massive pipe that was catching the debris and blocking the pipes. It actually looked like someone had stuck a toilet augur in the line and it was stuck.
Unfortunately, they had to dig it up and get it out in order to allow for the water to flow. Timothy used the camera and detected the additional problems that the line was having.
He was able to locate the major concerns and problems that I need to repair. Unfortunately, due to deferred maintenance, I will have to make additional repairs to the pipes, but I was thankful for the thorough investigation.
It also helped that Option One had resolved a previous problem and kept records of the work that was already done. Derrick turned the backyard into a massive dig! When I came home from work, I couldn't believe what happened.
Luckily, we were flushing and flowing in no time! I just wanted to say thank you to Derrick and his team for their hard work! Did the work quickly, efficiently, and at a reasonable price. I'll remember to use them again.! Honestly, I would NOT trust this company.

We had an extra one that was old in an upstairs closet that we just don't need. I asked 6 different companies for quotes and this one was by far the highest.
Just over $1200 for REMOVING the water heater only. I have gotten quotes for replacing it that were lower than that.
When I asked about the price because it seemed off, they said it was because it was upstairs and they would have to drain it. Well so did everyone else who gave me quotes in the $300-$700 range.
I'm not sure if they do this to everyone or if they just saw that I was young female who likely didn't know any better. Don't let them take advantage of you.

Sammy was great. Would definitely use again and recommend for any future plumbings needs or issues I corresponded with Option One before setting up an appointment for them to come out and diagnose why my electric water heater is not working.
I specifically asked if there was a diagnostic charge for determining the problem and stated up front that I expected to pay for diagnostics asking what that charge would be. They said their technicians are very good and there was no charge for the diagnostics, again.
The technician showed up on time and was very pleasant. He asked me to turn the hot water on while he looked at the unit.
By looking, I mean using his eyes to observe the tank. It turns out that was the extent of the free diagnostics, but for $125 minimum he could employ diagnostic devices.
I explained my consternation with the confusion and sent him on his way feeling I had twice given them the opportunity to disclose the $125 fee. I called after hours and got a call back as soon as they opened the office.
Hunter came out, was pleasant, courteous and efficient. Great service! I have dealt with a lot of plumbing companies and service companies.

Option One was easy to work with from the moment we contacted them. We had a water leak under our front patio, which turned out to be a break in our main water line.
We contacted them about 9pm, they immediately responded and said they would have someone out the next morning at 9am-ish. Sammy showed up, helped diagnose the problem, did some digging, gave us a quote, and fixed the broken pipe.

We will definitely be using your company again for future plumbing needs! Our 50-gallon hot water heater was on its way out with rust and leaks, so we called our home warranty company (Old Republic Home Protection) to have it replaced. First, they called a yahoo company that tried to charge us extra to move our water softener (what???!) in order to replace the hot water heater....with whom we refused to work with...and so we asked ORHC to send a different vendor.
They picked Option One Plumbing as our alternative. A young tech came to our home to replace our hot water heater.
Everything went fine until I found out that our isolation shut-off valve (to shut off the main water line) was found to be broken in the process (and it wasn't before he arrived). From what I see (attached pic), it looks like the metal was forcibly twisted off, and we had no recent incidents where we had to get anyone to shut off our water supply.
I called ORHC to recall the original work order to have Option One send a tech to come back out to do the right thing and fix the broken valve that their tech broke. Another tech came out and after calling the office from his truck, explained to me that he had talked to the original tech and was told that our shut-off valve was "already broken" when he had worked on it earlier...and left without any remediation.
I was very upset over how the issue was taken care of and spoke to ORHP to file a claim against Option One and left it at that. Update (1/7/2021): After leaving my one-star review, I got a call from Dennis at Option One to make this right.
He got the original tech back on the call to fix the broken valve today. Despite the awkwardness, the tech was very polite, professional, and worked quickly to replace the whole valve (see new pic); he did reiterate that he did not break the valve, for the record.
Overall, I give Option One 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars if it didn't have to get ugly to get the issue completely resolved.
However, I see that the company cares deeply about its reputation and is willing to make things right...and I have respect for that. I have used this plumbing service twice now.
