We just moved into a new home in South Philly and had a bunch of stuff from our inspection list that we needed to have taken care of. First was the HVAC condensation not draining properly.
He came by the next day to build out the appropriate fix for it. Really quick and explained what he did in detail.

I needed someone to come look at my forced hot water heater since heat wasn't working upstairs and also needed a clogged toilet looked at.

I called these guys when my hot water stopped working, and they came by on a free consultation (the other places I called charged $75 or more just to look at it). It turned out the gas company turned off my heater when they were here recently and didn't turn it back on.

Bernie, Mike, Louie, and the rest of the My Plumber team are a solid, trustworthy group of guys. We had a leaking second floor shower which Mike stopped by to take a look at.
He didn't charge us and suggested that it may only needed to be recaulked. After following his advice we still were having some leaking into the first floor.
We called him over a weekend, and he walked us through ways to trouble shoot and identify the problem. We plugged the drain and water came gushing through the first floor ceiling.
That experiment showed us that the shower had been poorly built shower (no pan/liner) and was leaking through the sub floor. The My Plumber team came out and over a week replaced the water logged subfloor and rebuilt the shower.
They did so in a fair price and will be our go to plumbers for the foreseeable future. Mike was quick to reply to my text, and came out the next day during the window he said he would.
He called 15 minutes in advance, looked at my leaky house faucet, and repaired it on the spot in about 10 minutes. He was friendly, funny, and the price was great (another recommended company estimated the project at more than 3x the price).

They've refused to follow through on this very simple job. We had a problem with the spigot on our rooftop deck and called My Plumber.
Mike showed up in 30 minutes and diagnosed our problem. The spigot was not working at all, but the spigot on our outside patio was working.
Mike stayed with us and helped us solve the problem within 15 minutes. We had accidentally turned off the knob in the basement three years ago and it cut off the flow to the spigot on the roof.
Mike didn't charge us for the visit and he was a great guy to talk to about our plumbing issues. We highly recommend him for your plumbing service.

I had to call twice, since they didn't bother to update me. Two days later I called again because my issue had worsesewer line was blocked.
They told me they would be there in 2 hours. After waiting 4 hours, we had a heavy storm which flooded my finished basement.
They never showed up or called. It they had been honest with me, I could have arranged for another plumber, avoided lots of cleaning work, and not have had my personal items destroyed.

Anytime I ran the washer or I showered, I had major flooding occur in my basement. Bernie was great and was great to communicate with in regards to getting him to come out to solve the problem.

I have SO MUCH gratitude towards Mike from My Plumber- I called because of a kitchen sink backflow/leak- he took the time to hear what the presenting issue was over the phone and diagnosed the issue (clog in the building's main water line, not my pipes) just from hearing details of the story, and gave me advice for what to do to get the issue solved, even though he didn't make any money off the transaction and didn't end up doing the job. I tried many things myself in an attempt to fix it and resolved myself to needing a new toilet, so I called MyPlumber. Michael first gave me a few tips over the phone, and when they didn't work, he came out.
Most plumbers would have automatically told me I needed a new toilet, but Michael spent a good 30 minutes cleaning calcification out of the siphon jet with a wire hanger and the toilet was good as new. He was an unbelievably nice guy and even gave me some tips for unrelated plumbing issues he noticed in my bathroom.
I have dealt with my fair share of crappy contractors and handymen so this was a nice change of pace. When you find a good one you have to hang on to them.

Upped to 3 stars because he did finally reply via yelp. I came home to an actively flooding basement and called My Plumber after the water dept did not send anyone for 2 hours.
I was given completely free, very valuable, level headed advice. There was absolutely nothing in it for him, but he knew I was panicked and did me such a service with his advice, reminding me of electrocution precautions and how to deal with the PWD.
It ended up that my neighbors hot water heater burst and I did not need any emergency work, but the next time I need a plumber I know who I'll be calling. While we were out of town we were alerted by our roommate that we had a leak in the garage and it was the water heater.
We found this out at 5:30 pm. We called My Plumber due to a good review he had in our community and Mike answered within an hour and gave us specific instructions on how to turn it off immediately and not wait until the morning to avoid a hazardous situation.
He said if we had no one to do it in person, he would drive himself to turn it off. The next day he came in first thing to evaluate the reason of the leak and took care of it that day.

Nicest guy came to my house less than an hour after I called. He diagnosed the problem, showed me the issues with my shower and fixed my shower head for free.
Then, he recommended another great company to fix the underlying issue which is with the glass door framing rather than the plumbing. I will definitely be going with My Plumber for any other plumbing issues I have in the future.

I called My Plumber today, Bernie picked up the phone right away, told me that they would try to come in today and that's what they did. Bernie said that they would come after their last job.
It was around 7:3ish and I thought maybe they would postpone because it was getting late, but nope, they still came in after what it seems to have been an already long day at work. I had an issue with some pipes that made a terrible noise when I flushed one of my toilets, I had been mortified for a while thinking that some extensive work would need to be done.
Upon arrival Mike asked a bunch of questions to get to the root of the problem, explained a few things and then asked a few extra questions...and just like that he realized that my issue was that some pipes had not been in use for a while and were creating a massive echo when the toilet got flushed, he took care of the issue and just like that...problem solved! My vision of taking down walls and thousands of dollars spent on this dissipated in a second. I'm a pretty handy woman but plumbing is not my forte...They could have told me I had whatever and I would have potentially bought it.
But that was not the case, Mike was super honest, super nice and on top of that, gave me advise on how to caulk a shower the way "he would do it". So cool.

Stay away - they can't be trusted. I took time off of work to get an estimate on 5 jobs in my house.
They canceled my appointment the first time because they ran too late on other jobs. I was flexible, we rescheduled for the following week.
After the technician looked at the jobs, he said "no problem - you'll receive an estimate in a few hours - we can knock everything out in a half day." It's two weeks later and no estimate, no response from business even after I left a message. And believe it or not, I'm a repeat customer! My experience was similar to Patrick C who posted on 7/23/19.
I just read other posts - the owner seems to apologize A LOT after the fact. If you run a business properly, you don't have to apologize so often.
The owner should probably retire or sell his business to someone who cares. If I could give these guys 6 stars, I would.
They were amazing. We got new granite counters and needed to reconnect our faucet and move the drainage pipe, reconnect the garbage disposer, etc.
Bernie was very available and communicative, easy to work with. He coordinated with my schedule and showed up with Mike exactly as promised.

Unprofessional, disorganized and can't be trusted to show up. So thankful for their quick reply and professionalism.
We had an issue with our bathroom sink. After leaving a message, we heard back quickly and then they were on our doorstep.
We will definitely be calling them again if ever the need arises. Called around 5pm one evening, asking about getting a clogged bathtub drain cleared out, would he be able to come the next day? I was told no problem, texted address and contact information to cell phone as requested.
Called the next morning around 11am. Now no answer on the office number, called cell phone.
Sounded as if he'd forgotten about my job, but was told he would be there "around 1pm". Called again at 3:30pm, no answer now on cell or office phone.
Left a message and said if I didn't hear back by 4pm, I'd call someone else to get the job done. No response, so that's exactly what I did.
Roto-Rooter was there within an hour of my call to them at 4pm and had it all fixed in an hour. I'm sure My Plumber would've been cheaper, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

The plumbers showed up on time, were very friendly and managed to unclog my kitchen sink and replace an S pipe under the sink. I would definitely call again in the future if needed! Today we awoke to a basement full of water in full panic mode we did everything we could think of to stop the water we turned off the water line to the water heater, we turned off the water line coming out of the water heater, and we turned off the main water line.

Bernie was awesome, he even tightened my toilet seat and I didn't ask him to. He also told me up front how much it was, and stopped me from spending about $100 more with another company.
He was really nice and accepts credit cards. My Plumber said he would come around 3pm He called when he was 20 minutes away so I did not have to wait at home.
He is very knowable about plumbing issues. He advised me what I have fix and ways he could do it.
His rates are very reasonable. When I was talking to my neighbor she told me that she has been using them for years on 3 houses she had in the city.

Bernie not only thoroughly explained my issues, but also explained how my century-old home's plumbing is set up, and where potential weak points are. Unlike some professionals I've dealt with over the years, it was very much a "service" rather than a "sales" call, as I'm sure there were things they could have tried to charge me for, but didn't.

Thank you! I was working on changing out some old outdated fixtures in my bath and realized I wasn't experienced as I thought to change out some of the piping. So I called these guys since they were local.
At first I was skeptical but at the end of the day I may have paid more then I wanted but all in all it was fair price and amount of quality work they did and even spotted a mistake I made and fixed it. Doing this saved me probably so much more money and stress.

Had a guy from a different company look at our toilet and said that we needed a new one, so I contacted My Plumber to install it because I saw their Yelp deal. They picked us up a new toilet at Home Depot (calling to give us a recommendation on what toilet to get and what the various prices were).
Then, when they arrived at my house, they looked and said that we didn't need one. They said they could fix the old one, and if their fix didn't work the $89 we spent to get it fixed could be applied to getting them to come back out and install the new toilet.
They then took the new toilet back without charging us anything for the inconvenience. Above and beyond the call of duty.
I won't hesitate to call these guys back the next time we have a problem. Great experience this morning.
Came within an hour of my call to unclog my curb trap (my basement utility sink had been filling up with waste water as a result of a neighboring pavement/tree removal job, so I wanted the job done as soon as possible). Within 20 minutes, it was fixed at a reasonable price.
