The technicians arrived at 8:58, and were friendly and competent. I also asked them to replace a hose bib that got damaged in the last freeze and they did that in addition to replacing the damaged pex.
My bill was just over $1000 for one hour forty five minutes, and minimal supplies, including 2 feet of pex, 1 foot of copper, and a hose bib. I think that is excessive, but I don't have a basis for how excessive.
I am very happy with the quality of the work and the competence of the technicians, with some reservations about the value of the service. I do know that this service call was outrageously expensive.
What I don't know is how much more or less outrageously expensive it would be compared to other plumbing companies. BEWARE! Extremely over priced for getting nothing done.
Charged $578 to attempt to snake a sink but were unsuccessful. Wanted $2,200 to go under the house into the crawl space to cut in a T and hydro jet the line.
Called another plumber who had no problem snaking the line and charged only $321. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Our primary bathroom toilet was leaking from the base.
Just a slight one but the one that was concerning. I called on a Friday afternoon, explained the problem and was able to schedule for either the next Monday morning or afternoon.
The lady I spoke let me know that a plumber would be there Monday and within a window of time. They'd call 15 or so minutes before arriving.
They were on time and did call ahead and sent a text as well. Monday 2 plumbers arrived (Caleb and Garrett).
I learned that Garrett was an apprentice. During the process I was asked to observe and was shown what the cause of the slow leak was (bad wax seal and loose floor bolts).
The toilet was removed and re-set with a new wax seal and floor bolts. I was assured the floor was sound even though there had been a leak for who knows how long.
The guys were in and out within 45 minutes to an hour. The repair site was left clean and with no trace of repairs.
The leaky "gunk" was cleaned before re-setting the toilet. We don't have many needs for a plumber but the next time, we will call Olympic I live in Seattle and maintain my daugutters house in Olympia, she is a single parent with two young children so when you can't flush the toilet in the morning your in trouble.
this was a last minute in the morning emergency, by the time I got there went through the motions to do what I could it was 10:30 am. I called Olympic Plumbing Technology and spoke to Sarah who was very helpful as with a full day booked, after a few minutes she managed to squeeze me in later in the afternoon! Billy arrived and was very present and searched the yard and found a clean out and worked his magic! this saved us from a very awful situation.

We made an appointment for Monday 6/24/24, just in case Friday wouldn't work. It didn't.
They canceled Monday saying that there were scheduling problem, and no technicians were available. They said they would come between 2:00 and 7:00 Thursday 6/27/24.
The technician came at 4:30. During scheduling, Olympic Plumbing Technology personelle were asked repeatedly about fees.
We were told there was no service fee and that the estimate was free. The technician showed up and said if he went under the house it would cost 280.00 and said they would give 50.00 credit and waive the travel fee because of the scheduling mess-ups.
He was adamant that going under the house would cost 280.00. He was told, no.
They were told on the phone on Monday that the leak was under the house and there was no mention of an additional charge for stepping foot under there. The technician said he could give an estimate from a photo.
We asked why we couldn't have done that in the first place. Instead, they wasted several days of our time.
I had to rearrange my schedule several times to accommodate them. I told the person who arrived at the house that it was bad form and that they needed to get their st together.
the estimate was vague and the price quoted from looking at the photo we had taken was over 1,400.00 with tax and any permits that may be needed. Not pleased with company.
Will not be doing business with them. So far great experience working with them, but to be fair I've only had them do an assessment and estimate.
However they've exceeded my expectations so figured I'd share. The company was able to send someone SAME DAY I called and they sent a text when the technician was on his way with his name and picture to know who to expect.
The technician Zach was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He spent a generous amount of time walking me through all the steps needed and answering questions.
Provided me with a detailed digital assessment at the end of the visit. Would absolutely hire him/ the company for future work.
We had a leak in an upstairs bathroom somewhere, which caused a lot of damage to the downstairs closet. It was in a very weird spot (corner) which caused damage to drywall in several places.
Olympic Plumbing gave us a very quick turnaround time for an appt. Despite a frustrating call on the day of our appt advising that they might not be able to make it (after we changed appts/work around), they ended up being able to make it, albeit several hours past the appt time.
Anyway, I understand some things can come up beyond their control. Once the plumbers got there, they were informative, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and efficient.
I was advised how much it would be (OUCH) and why. It was a lot of money to have the pipes fixed (760) but ultimately it was a job well done and I felt assured that the problem had been finally resolved.

The big day arrived, which also happened to be our anniversary. They showed up with the CEO, a sasquatch, swag, a certificate, water heater, balloons and donuts! Our water heater was in a dangerous state.
They ended up replacing a very large clunky water heater, with a tankless system. They had it done in record time.
They even cleaned up the wall behind it. They brought a lot of joy to my husband that day, to all of us actually.
We have 4 generations living here. This kindness will be long remembered.

Fine. When the plumber came out I was showing him how to get under the home, at which point he said there is a fee for going under the house.
Not to do anything, but just an additional fee to go under there. The extra charge was 230 dollars, which was nearly an additional four times the original quote they gave us to come out.
They knew the leak was under the house and never mentioned the additional charge for stepping foot under there. I asked the plumber to leave at that point.
Pretty shady and exploitive of our circumstances. We recently bought a house and knew we needed the water heater to be replaced.
Gaige came out and did a thorough inspection as well as replace the water heater. Gaige discovered that the water shut off was pretty much inaccessible, and so we had him out about a week later to install a much more accessible shut off for us.
Gaige was always professional, on time, and did a great job. He always explained things every step of the way so we understood, which I definitely appreciate.

I find it very shady when a company refuses to give a ball park estimate over the phone. Even the worst case scenario price would have been nice to know so that we didn't waste our time and money.

I called on a Monday after trying to fix the clog myself that was backing up my washer machine and dishwasher, and finally giving up. They set me up a service window for Wednesday (non emergent issue so the wait was fine).

Joe in Shelton, WA We called Olympic Plumbing a few days ago when we discovered a pipe in our basement leaking onto our basement floor. Other plumbing companies told us they couldn't come out for three days, or they simply didn't return our calls.
Olympic Plumbing sent someone out that morning to address the problem. While there was a delay in the plumber's schedule, they called to let us know they would be late (a little flexibility is necessary, especially on a last minute call such as ours, so we certainly didn't hold it against them).
Not only did Olympic fix our problem quickly, they gave us great information about how to maintain our old pipes to keep things running smoothly. We will likely be repiping our house soon and will definitely give Olympic a call! Gaige is very professional and obviously knows his job! Okay, I thought, I'll pay for quality. Then, when I reasoned to not pay 50% down before anything had been done.
Denae, the "finance manager" was very rude and initially agreed for us to pay within 30 days of completion. She then lazily contacted L&I, because that's who our larger contract was for, and didn't try very hard to find our qualifying information.
She asked 1 or 2 questions to the wrong department, and then decided to retract the bid we had been stressing over to get. All of this because she lacked the competency to call the proper department within L&I.
We then went out of our way, spending hours on the phone to find out what went wrong, which led us to find out it was an annoyingly simple mistake that anyone with any business skill could have troubleshooted. We finally got her in contact with the proper department...and she still kept the bid retracted.
This is all very unprofessional and a waste of our time. I would highly recommend finding yourself a better plumbing company to work with that won't flake off and waste your valuable time.

Olympic Plumbling Technology was great and provided quick and professional service when we had a major plumbing/septic issue. Our septic drain line got crushed from a tree root and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it quick.

I highly recommend Olympic Plumbing Technology. Had a leak first noticed by my 1st floor tenant when he noticed a wet spot forming on his ceiling.
We cut a hole in the downstairs bathroom ceiling and could see that the main pipe had a slow drip but couldn't determine where it was coming from. I called Beetle Boys Construction on a friend's recommendation who wrote up a 3000$ + estimate and diagnosed the leak as coming from the apartment directly above the leak.
They told me it was from the upstairs toilet, even though there was no evidence that the toilet was indeed leaking. The toilet was dry and didn't cause any dripping when flushed many times.
No other possibility was even thought of. I felt very unsure of the Beetle Boys and sought out another opinion.
Luckily I happened upon Olympic Plumbing Technology and got Tracy to come the same day (within a couple hours of my first call to them). He looked at the pipe which at that time had no signs of leaking, checked the toilet above the leak and ruled out that being the problem and then asked to see the upstairs apartment to the left where he quickly diagnosed the problem.
The problem was from a broken tub spout which when turning on the shower was very obvious. The Beetle Boys did not even look there prior to writing out their 3K estimate! Tracy fixed the problem and was out the door in less than an hour.
I saved $2800+. Very grateful that I found Tracy who obviously is extremely knowledgeable and also a very nice person to work with.

They promptly solved a problem whose solution had eluded two other major area plumbers. The "technology" part of their name is serious - they used a camera to diagnose the problem, which neither of the other two plumbers bothered to do.
It was a difficult problem (a pressure-assisted toilet in a commercial store-front, with the outlet blocked by a credit card) that required removing the toilet from its base - so it ended up taking more time and work than the other plumbers invested in it, but the cost was equal to or less than the others had charged - and the other plumbers didn't even resolve the problem! Fast, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and all at a very competitive price. Wish I'd called them first.

I am glad we went with Olympic Plumbing to handle this. We called around and got some crazy phone estimates of things in the upper $200- lower $300's.
And they didn't really want to talk or at least hear us out, just wanted to come by and look and sell, a little pushy. Olympic Plumbing actually spoke to us, took the time over the phone to let us know what the issues could be and our options prior to making appointment.
Next morning we call them and make appointment. They made it out couple hours later.

Dell, the installer, came out first. Then Ron came and suggested a simple test to check things out.
Both were patient, professional, and genuinely interested in resolving my question. OPT also replaced a bad garbage disposal with a very nice one.
I put most organics through the disposal so mine get used a lot. Ron installed it.
