What drew me to ask Seattle Pipeworks to quote for a water line replacement was the clean site pictures on their profile. Clean work speaks volumes about the contractor.

We had a plumbing company that had good reviews on Yelp come by and ream out the pipe. When the tool came back out of the pipe, it had mud on it, indicating a break in the pipe.

He recommended we get the pipe video inspected, and recommended Seattle Pipeworks to do it. I gave Tim a call, and he was able to come over the next day.

To make a long story not quite as long, he verified that we had 3 cracks in a 22 foot long section of the sewer pipe, but that it wasn't an emergency, but should be taken care of soon. We scheduled the job a couple weeks later.

We had just installed a new deck, and the guys were really good about covering it up with plywood to protect it. Like one of the other posters, the location of the pipe wouldn't allow any machines, only hand digging.

It was a 4 day job, but except for an hour or so here and there, we never lost use of the sewer. After the job was done, the guys cleaned everything up.

They made a stressful event not so bad. I hope I never need any more sewer work done, but if I do, I'll call Tim again.

It was an area that did not allow the use of a backhoe so it was hand dug. I have never seen a hole dug so quick and clean.

Kudos to Liam for digging non-stop for many hours straight and repairing the pipe to get the job done in time for the inspector. Tim cleaned and scoped the remaining pipes to make sure that everything was good and then the hole was filled and the yard cleaned up to perfection.

We had a plumbing/sewer emergency and called a big box company on a neighbor's tip. She said she's used them several times to clean out clogged pipes and was impressed because they were willing to extend some wiggle room on the costs.

After those guys addressed the initial problem, they reportedly found $1,000's of necessary pipe work in numerous areas that needed to be completed fairly soon based on their courtesy camera evaluation. I called Tim for a second opinion.

He patiently troubleshooted over the phone and suggested that he come out with a camera to check things out before I do anything further. Tim was clear about the cost, the time-frame and product we would receive.

One of his team came out the same day and spent a long time describing his findings. Tim himself dropped off the video and explained it the very next day--a Saturday! Last year I had the joy of sewage coming up my basement shower drain. After a a scope, turned out to be a big break in my sewage line about 6 feet out.

Not only were they the lowest bid by about 20% they didn't try to rip me off by trying to convince me to replace the entire line like most shady plumbers do. They dug out and replaced 12 ft an the best part was they had to dig up rockery and grass and put everything back perfectly.

I did have to wait about a week because he was backed up like most people are but was worth the wait. He also said, it's ok to still use water sparingly, when others tried to scare me into needing to fix it the same day just to get the job.

Plumbers are worse than used car salesman (northwest plumbing) so if you can find a good one like Tim, you're lucky! Also, if you just need drains snaked like I do like once a year because my 2 teenagers put I don't know what down the drain all the time, then Fritz drain service is awesome and the cheapest. I got wonderful service.

Efficient. I had water on my basement floor and knew right away what had happened because many houses in our area had had the same broken sewer problem.

I started with another plumber that sent a camera down the drain, found the break and recommended Seattle Pipeworks. Since they were so highly recommended I knew I was going to hire them but I did get another bid just to make me feel better.

Everything about the way they worked was reassuring. They had to dig down 9 feet to find the broken pipe and when they were done, they left my yard is really great shape.

We called Seattle Pipeworks to get a second estimate on a 6" liner for the last 35' of our sewer line. Tim Walsh, the owner, came out and talked to us, and then he sent Peter over here to run a camera down the line.

In doing the filming Peter said he thought the line looked fine, which surprised him, and he said let Tim look at the film and he will let you know. Tim emailed me back to say "the line is currently entirely in function condition (with normal wear)".

I am so glad we found an honest company! The other bid we got, for a ton of money, never actually said "your pipe is broken and needs fixing" even though they also put a camera down it. They just said "yeah, we can line it".

Excellent ! Our sewer backed up, Quality Plumbing cleared the plug, but after getting it scoped out we found a big root ball in the pipe located in the parking strip. We needed Seattle Pipe to dig 8 feet down and replace about 20 feet of sewer pipe.

Call Tim! Tim and his crew recently did an emergency repair for us. Our 1940s era concrete sewer line had a break in it.

Even though he was busy and completely booked, he managed to come to our house within 30 minutes of our call, diagnose our issue, and get a crew to us within 48 hours to first fix the broken section and then line the rest of the pipe to prevent future breakage. Tim has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing.

(My husband and I are both civil engineers so we are picky about plumbing.) Tim responds to phone calls and emails quickly, and everything he said would happen, actually happened on the timeline he gave us. His crews were friendly, hard-working, professional, and did a great job keeping our yard tidy and cleaning up when they were finished.

You might be able to find someone to do your job for less (I have no idea - we didn't shop around in our emergency) but I doubt it's worth it. We have worked with other plumbers on other jobs and have not been happy.

I have an old house in Ballard and I had an emergency on the weekend where I was forced to call out a large corporate plumbing company to come to the (rescue). They got me fixed up, but also gave me a huge quote along with a story of why it should be addressed immediately, and if it wasn't it could lead to permanent damage to my house and property value.

(It screamed scam to me as I have had a similar issue at another older home that I own that was fixed at a fraction of the quote). I waited until Monday and was referred to Seattle Pipeworks from a plumber friend that doesn't do pipe repair.

Tim was very friendly and accommodating to get me a bid FAST! We spoke later that day, he gave me the bid and was out to repair it 2 days later at 1/3rd the quote of the other company. He was very honest about his approach to the quote, and didn't try any "upsell" tactics like the corporate people did.

They seem like a stand up operation, and I would highly recommend these guys in the future. If I could give Tim and Seattle Pipeworks a sixth star, I would.

Tm provides a level of professionalism and integrity that is almost unheard of these days. We had been in denial about some chronic plumbing issues for quite a while, treating regular backups and not wanting to have to dig up the yard to address the real issue - until there was no longer a choice.

Another plumber came out and gave us an "estimate" that had an $8,000 range between the possible low and high end costs, and said he wasn't available for five weeks. Tim came out, offered a fixed bid (towards the low end of the other estimate) and said they could start right away.

Anyone who has ever worked with contractors knows to be skeptical of a "fixed" bid (and mentally add 50% to the estimate) but Tim clearly outlined the scope, the day rate and costs for parts and permits. Tim's crew was hard-working, friendly and professional.

They did a great job making the repairs, keeping us informed of what was happening, dealing with unexpected issues, and replanting bushes and flowers and cleaning up the mess after the dig. They took a bit longer than they had expected but Tim, true to his word, stuck to his original bid.

This is going to be a long review. My main sewer line clogged up which resulted in water backing up and coming out of my shower drains.

I first went with Roto Rooter (don't recommend them at all) since they were the first on google. They attempted to auger the line which didn't work and cost $600 (way overpriced).

Then they used a camera to locate the block and quoted me $10k to dig up and inspect the block manually. This entire process took a week because Roto Rooter had horrible customer service and scheduling.

I looked for companies on yelp and found Tom's company Ace works and saw his great reviews. I updated him on the issues and the job that Roto rooter quoted.

Over the phone he gave me a quote that was a quarter of the price compared to roto rooter. He was able to schedule me two days later (he already had other jobs).

On the day of our appointment he had great communication and called me before our appointment to update me that they finished a job and were going to get lunch then head over. He actually showed up 30 mins earlier then we planned which was nice.

Tom and his apprentices were very nice and professional. They were able to finish the job sooner then expected and verified everything worked before leaving.

Since it was shorter than they expected, the final cost was cheaper than what he quoted me! Tom is my new go to plumber for any issues and for any renovations. I highly recommend his company and have already sent his contact info to family and friends if they need him in the future.

I contracted Tom and his Ace Works team for a condo bath remodel - the main purpose for which was to swap out a tub/shower combo with a new walk-in shower. The project further included LVT floor installation, install of new toilet, drywall repair, and paint.

Tom invested the time to work with me on materials selection, provided sensible recommendations on product, and suggested design elements to enhance the end result. From initial contact to final delivery, I Tom was reachable and responsive.

Everything was timely and well documented, and he was extremely reasonable regarding "finishing touch" requests (e.g., paint lines) before closing out. He/they also left the condo in extremely clean condition, prior to their departure.

A plumbing leak came up during electrical work on our house, so I needed a plumbing fix on short notice and Ace Works came through. The issue was a dislodged pipe in the basement crawlspace that was leaking sewage into said crawlspace, so the electrician couldn't continue working until the mess was cleaned up and the pipe reconnected.

Tom came over to assess the situation with just a couple hours' notice, laid down a substance to absorb the wastewater overnight, and cleaned it up the following day after reconnecting the pipe (which involved rerouting it through a different beam in the crawlspace). He was fast and effective, and even fixed our back gate that the electrician had broken the day before.

100% happy with Ace Works, will hire them again. I needed my whole house repiped and contacted Ace Works.

Justin answered them completely!!! Called PAC West during the recent freeze because we had a bursted water pipe. Once it came close to that time frame on the day of the job, Justin notified me a more specific window where he'd arrive. Showed up right on time and jumped right in! Justin was exceptional with explaining what he saw, a couple different remediation choices for the busted pipe, and what I should do to try and help mitigate the chances of another bursted pipe.

The entire time Justin was clear and concise in his explanations, and letting me know everything he was going to do. When it came time for the job, he was quick! He quoted me what I thought was a fair value for the work and even helped explain what I should do with insurance.

PacWest was the perfect solution to our master bath problem! Our built-in corner tub started to leak, so we had to move our Spring 2016 master bath remodel to Winter 2015. Our redesign included moving existing tub plumbing, as well as expanding our current separate shower and moving its plumbing.

Rough-in plumbing was beyond the scope of our DIY experience, and that's when we called Justin McNally and PacWest Services. Justin worked with our homemade design plan and timeline in a professional (and friendly) way.

After our demo, he and Aaron got to work moving drains, vent pipes, water lines, and shut-off valves. They also replaced and patched drywall superbly.

Justin reframed the shower (with niches and added framing for handrails), shower curb, and installed a Hydro Blok system to prep for our DIY tile installation. He also plumbed the rough-in for our shower system with an 8 inch head and handheld sprayer.

It's not easy finding good help, so it was amazing that we found PacWest. All the positive reviews prob freak people out but seriously, they're the real deal.

I needed some plumbing services done at my house and called several different plumbers around but PacWest was bar far the best. Other companies tried pressuring me into making appointments immediately or wouldn't provide me any type of rough quote unless I paid them $100 bucks to come out, where they would reiterate that the cost would count toward the cost of the fix.

That's a lose lose situation of time and money. The PacWest folks though, had me send them pictures to assess the situation and gave me details of what the situation was and what needed to be done with a fair price.

What makes this even more amazing is that you don't have a random plumber coming over to see the situation for the first time and then realizing they can't get the part (Rotor rooters did this to us and had us wait for 3 weeks - we ended up canceling and finding the part on our own in a few days). We got help fixing something in our shower and also the kitchen disposal with the piping replaced.

They did an amazing job and cleaned everything after, leaving it like they were never there. The quality was also great and Eric made sure to triple check all his work before he left.

Also, I love working with down to earth people, so that made everything so much better. Amazing crew of people that do great work.

We were in a tight situation with turnaround times and he made things happen for us on multiple visit requests. Justin worked on some bathroom plumbing and fixture installations for us and did a great job.

Trust in the work that needed to be done, trust in the work completed, and trust in the amount charged. Like all other yelp reviews, there is some skepticism if the review is overwhelmingly positive - but PacWest helped us out when we needed a faucet and an old sink replaced.

The work was completed and everything was fine except for one thing - we didn't like the new eyewash eyelet and insisted on the old one be put back. The new eyewash eyelet was included in the estimate and we have already paid for it.

Initially, I thought I would just put the eyewash eyelet for sale on ebay or amazon.com - but I discovered that the model is usually sold via wholesaler for commercial plumbers to install... so it's really hard to sell an opened one.

So, I contacted PacWest and said, "Hey, can I return this eyelet?" Long story short, PacWest got me the refund for the eyelet and sent a check back for the full amount. I personally had forgotten about the eyelet after just a week or two - but I didn't have to call them repeatedly, I didn't harass them.

I asked, returned the part, and they did as they said they would. There was wait for the work I needed done but that's because the work was non-urgent and the sink had to be specially ordered.

But they arrived on schedule on the date and time that they said they would - can't ask more than that! On another matter - I was installing a gas BBQ at my home porch and couldn't get the gasket off with the pliers and wrenches I got. I was resigned to not being able to pop it open and wanted PacWest to come install my gas BBQ for me.

I sent them a text asking for help, and they said they can schedule me a time, but suggested a couple of special wrenches that would work. I borrowed from neighbor and got myself set up that night.

Wouldn't have happened without some helpful advice from PacWest. Anyways - I highly recommend PacWest.

Recently we had the best of luck with our washer dying and when moved it out noticed the water heater was leaking too. Within two days pacwest had installed our new water heater.

He also gave me good advice: 1) to buy a water meter valve tool ("meter key") so I could turn off the water at night to try to keep the flooding minimized, and 2) to use a wet vac to try to contain things as best as possible. When the leak detection company finished, Adam came right back out to start digging, and finished the job the next day (when he originally thought he would be busy!).

Overall, very satisfied with both jobs and his responsiveness. He was also very cooperative with my request to be masked whenever inside the house.

There's no question that Adam is super smart and a pro. He came out to my house after I panicked that something was seriously wrong with my pipes/flow setup when my toilet wouldn't flush properly.

Water was leaking from our wall into the basement, so I called several plumbers and leak detection companies. We were worried we had a breach in the mainline.
