Review and analyze now for company Danika Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''I scheduled an estimate of toilets and faucet installations. Mike and a helper came by at the time arranged.
He listened to my expectations before starting. The estimate was acceptable.
We didn't want to do it ourselves, but had been tempted by previous plumbers estimate. Work was completed efficiently with no complaints and no problems.
No one wants to pay for skilled labor, but it's worth the $ to have it done properly. After watching the process, my Youtube skills would have proven inadequate.
Thanks Mike. They were awesome!!! They came out right away and were able to do the work very quickly! Bass was absolutely GREAT! I will definitely use them again and I will request Bass for sure! Very professional and super nice!!!! THANK YOU BASS!!!! These guys came for free inspection and charged me $1160 to tell me that there is a leakage in the drainage pipe which I already knew.
All they did was to dig a little in 2 spots (took 15 mins) to show where the leakage was. I agreed to pay without understanding full extent of the work but felt cheated with unreasonable fee charged for the service performed.
I still need to solve the problem and am already under $1160. All I know is the spot of leakage (which was easy to tell based on where the water was getting collected).
Asked them the estimate to fix. Answer was to call the old contractor who did the original work to fix.
Disappointing at best! Stay away from their free inspection service, as the intent is not to really solve the problem but charge unreasonable amount to diagnose the problem. I called Danika in the morning and their technician, Travis, showed up that afternoon.
I appreciated that there was no fee just to show up and look at the problem. Travis provided two options and explained the pros and cons of each.
He was helpful and friendly and quickly did the required repair. He also offered advice on outdoor faucet maintenance so that I can avoid other problems with this faucet in the future.
I was so impressed with the quick and friendly response I received from Danika Plumbing! We were in the middle of a family reunion, at our house, when we had a flood in the garage! Yikes!! Travis was sent out to get the job done and he most certainly did do that and he also went above and beyond to help me out!! Hard work and a fair price and the celebration was saved!! I would highly recommend Danika Plumbing and their amazingly talented Travis! Had a burst pipe from the cold winter days, and Jeremy did a great job explaining what the issue was, and how he to fix it. Answered all my questions, gave me a quote, fixed the issue, and that was it.
Didn't take long. Freeze damage on exterior pipe resulting in flooded basement.
Doc came out and was courteous, explained everything, gave a quote, fixed everything...and I will forever call Doc for any plumbing/water issues. Thank you! Hot water valve broke and wouldn't shut off.
The only positive thing about the situation is that they, Danika, responded to the situation quickly. The pipes weren't leaking, no cracked solder.
Nothing. Just a bad valve.
A REMOVABLE VALVE, $20+/- at LOWES. Foreshadowing.
Instead of merely replacing one or both REPLACABLE VALVE STEMS/cartridges they decided to replace the entire manifold and valves. WHY???!! TO F*CK THE CUSTOMER OVER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
They decided to cut-open the backing wall to access and cap the hot water line "because the parts were too old, they don't make 'em any more". THEY'RE REPLACABLE VALVES!!!!!! WHICH COULD'VE BEEN REMOVED from the shower/handle side, no wall cutting needed!! They left almost no border on the corner side and bottom edge of UNNECESSARY ACCESS HOLE!! ANNNND after the new and UNNECESSARY manifold was installed, they didn't reinstall ANY new bracing for the new manifold/valves (the old manifold was firmly braced and all that bracing was cut-out during "repair") so now the whole assembly flexes around noticeably, SUPPORTED ONLY BY THE PLUMBING ITSELF!! Either the plumbers were COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT OR 100% DISHONEST!! What the hell happened to pride of workmanship?! I can understand $500 extra for the emergency call, but $2,200.00 for the "repair" shown is unacceptable.
I'd give them -5 if I could. I scheduled Danika to come out and give a quote/fix a leaking toilet.
I was given a two-hour window during which the plumber would arrive. Ten minutes before the end of the window, I received a text saying the plumber was "on the way." An hour later, still no one had arrived, and no one replied to my text inquiring if they were still coming.
There was a truck outside our house that turned out to be the plumber's apprentice, but he couldn't do anything without the plumber. We gave up and sent him away.
Never did get a reply to my text. Again, Danika Plumbing and Travis to the rescue.
They are quick to respond and schedule, and Travis has been our go-to guy for the past years worth of serious plumbing issues. He is always courteous, honest and helps us understand the nature of the issues as well as giving great advice.
Will always call Danika first (and hope we don't have to for some time!). I asked Danika Plumbing LLC to install a bathtub spout, shower head, shower trim kit, and drain stopper for two bathtubs.
They said some technician will come, and provide the estimate during the weekend. One of their employer Travis showed up and asked for 780$ for both bathtubs.
One of the bathtubs' water was trained properly, he asked for 299$ to clean up the drain blocking. While replacing the drain stopper he removed all the blocked hairs.
Another bath rub water was draining properly. After the drain stopper, the water is not draining now.
That means Danika people install something and made it not functioning. Overall he takes around 1.30 mins for these two bathtubs.
Initially, he mentioned 8 hours of work. I called up again during weekdays to fix this.
Now the same person came to our home and asked for 399$ plus tax for cleaning. What kind of business or service these people are providing to the customers? Do they fix something without functioning? Who is responsible for validating the stuff that they install for the customers? Are they want to make money in hours of service or something else? I cleaned the dust with a plunger for 2 mins everything came out.
Most of the pieces were from the plumber cutting the spout(drilled and removed). DO NOT USE THESE MONEY EATERS, NOT PROFESSIONALS FOR YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.
I don't normally leave reviews on Yelp, but for this company I felt it was very important to provide my experience. Travis did an amazing job installing a new electric tank WH for us.
Our old electric tankless had a few parts that went bad. He was able to do the entire job in about 2 hours and was kind enough to open some space for us there as there is shelving blocking the area left by the old owner.
All in all everything went smooth and I'm very satisfied with the service Travis and the entire Danika Plumbing team provided. They gave us a very competitive quote, where as other plumbers were trying to charge me almost double.
Danika Plumbing and their owner Frank, we're very upfront, transparent, and very fair with me which I really appreciated as a customer. I highly recommend this company (especially Travis) to anyone looking for plumbing work.
We had a water leak in our dining room ceiling coming from somewhere in our masterbathroom above. We called Danika plumbing for a free estimate (or so they advertise) but be prepared, as soon as they walked in the door and looked at the dripping coming from the ceiling, they advised that it would cost $200 to look.
Frustrated about false advertising but needing to know the problem, they made some bigger cuts in the ceiling (I originally cut a hole but understood if they needed it bigger) and determined the leak wasn't coming from the shower or tub drain (And an additional cut in a different area of the ceiling we preferred not to be cut but he insisted he needed to to verify it wasn't coming from the tub). They spent a short time at the house and couldn't verify the problem but assumed it may be a leak in the grout for the shower tiles and referred us to another company to verify.
We called the referred company and we had the grout sealed but found this wasn't the problem so we called another plumber - Rogue Plumbing. This guy spent ALOT of time looking and testing various areas of the shower and found the leak.
He actually gave a free estimate as advertised but I was so impressed by how much time he spent (including taking off the cover to the water handles to verify there wasn't a leak behind the shower and resealing it up), I asked to pay for his time as he walked to his vehicle - $85. I expressed my frustration with the additional hole in the ceiling by the window the original plumber created and the plumber stated he couldn't understand why he did it.
He explained that a tool most plumbers have (long bendable tube that has a pinpoint camera attached to it) could have been used instead to look at the pipes vs cutting an additional hole. If Danika had this tool, I too wonder why they didn't use it except it might have just been easier to just cut an additional hole.
The referred company came out and without telling him what either plumber had advised, he confirmed the 2nd plumbers analysis. The only plus I can say about Danika was that the plumber was nice but for $200, nice didn't solve my leaking issue.
Also, the original work order showed the cost of the service but didn't show what he suspected was wrong. I had to call the company and they promptly added this to the work order-bill.
My only advise is call Rogue plumbing to begin with if you want quality service done right (and cheaper). They didnt diagnose the problem right.
Wanted to replace the system right away. I was able to get my water heater fixed by another company with minor parts repairs.
This company said they would do an estimate for 90 dollars, but if we hired them they would pay us that money back or not have us pay that 90 at all and we would just pay for the work. Next thing is, my wife walked away for a moment and then they said the just fixed it without asking or providing an estimate or telling us what was wrong.
Ended up pay over 450 dollars that first day (and they kept the 90 dollars!) they came by and they didn't actually fix anything. We still had no hot water and no explanation of what was wrong.
Then after a week and a half of being on the phone with them, they made us order a part from Rheem and they tried to trick us into saying that Rheem will pay for the labor later but we have to pay them another 400+ dollars for the next fix. Then the plumber who was a total shit was trying to con us in so many different ways and spitting out one lie after another.
I finally had to kick him out of my house as he was the most unprofessional worker I have ever seen. Never touch this company, never think about this company.
They do not exist and it is not a real company. If you like throwing your money into a fire, do that instead because at least it is warm.
I have had an outdoor faucet that had been leaking for a while and getting worse. Yesterday my wife noticed it was leaking more than 2 cups per minute.
I shut down my water for the night and called Danika Plumbing at around 9:00pm to see if I could get someone to come out in the morning to fix it. They had a crew here by 8:30am.
They had to move the washing machine in my laundry room and cut out a section of sheetrock to gain access to the pipe. They removed the old frost-free outdoor faucet and plumbed in a new one.
I was left with just a very small section of sheetrock to patch back in. While they were here, I had them look at the faucets in the master bath sink that had been stripped out for a while and were not being used.
They went and picked up a new faucet set and replaces them as well. Thier price was more than fair for the amount of work they did, and we were totally pleased.
I have been ripped off in the past Southwest Plumbing, so I am glad to have had this experience with Danika Plumbing. I highly recommend them!!! The plumber came and was supposed to firstly give a quote of the plumbing issue so that we can decide whether we proceed.
Instead they came and fixed two issue and they charged us for both not leaving any options. Additionally the company charges per fix and not per hour (the overall work was pretty simple and took less than hour).
Very unprofessional of the company, wouldn't recommend. UPDATE: requested a call from owner to discuss.
He has never returned my call. He finally replied to my poor review on Thumbtack saying plumbing is "professional work that requires a lot of training" to justify this rip off.
Talk about mansplaining. I've called several other plumbing companies in the area and their fee to install a new toilet INCLUDING THE STOP VALVE is $250-350 plus parts.
The stop valve is under $10. This company ripped me off.
They charged $299 to install a new toilet in a newer, redone bathroom (4 years prior). I supplied the new toilet.
Travis said he had to replace the stop valve because it was leaking (it wasn't prior to his installing the new toilet) and added an additional $225 to do this because it WAS A NEW WORK ORDER. Total to install the new toilet and stop valve was over $600 with me supplying the toilet.
I was surprised at the attitude of my call when I had a Hot Water Leak at my house last Monday. The Hot water tank was installed by Danika Plumbing 3 years ago.
After a year Danika Plumbing does not cover it in their Warranty. But they could still come out and help, but they refused and were very rude.
I asked for help as the water was gushing out and a flood of water could not be stopped. The receptionist told me that I was not their only customer and they could not help me even though it was an emergency.
And that they have other customers. Danika Plumbing does not know how to treat its customers with respect, dignity, and kindness.
They installed the Hot Water Tank but did not change out the old pipes and the valve. The pipes were old and resting and the old valve stopped working, which is why it leaked.
I asked the receptionist, "Will your company not be responsible for your actions? She said, "No it's been 3 years, we are not responsible anymore". She was rude and disrespectful, I did not expect this kind of treatment from Danika Plumbing, as I have been their customer for the past 5 years! I will Never Call Danika Plumbing for help with any plumbing needs, ever! If there was zero stars I would use it.
This is the worst company I have ever seen. They are liars and con-artists.
If you find yourself in a situation where you have to use them, do not leave them alone and make sure you get everything in writing. They will cheat you out of money left and right and not fix anything.
Also, extremely unprofessional and they use attrition to wear you down and make you pay in an endless loop. They will recommend bad heaters and then over-charge you when you need it fixed.
Average. Instalation was fine.
For a standard toilet install they needed to see the job. Unfortunately, my husband was home and he gave them the green light.
It was 30% more expensive than other quotes. The technitian did not haul away all of the toilet, leaving the top and the lid even though haul away was part of the cost.
Additionally, he proceeded to tell us what a poor choice we made in choosing our toilet (a kohler). Not sure what his angle was there.
He was also trying to get us to show him our flash heater to make sure that we were "maintaing" it properly. The experience was sub par.
Again, the work was fine, but I would not call Danika again. Hired them based on the Home Depot referral program to replace a kitchen faucet.
They charged $500 for a one hour (or less) job. When I called to talk with the owner about their pricing, he wasn't available.
I never got a return call. I won't be using them again.
Service integrity/warranty issues. in one line, dont trust words and ensure that everything they say is actually covered in written in warranty, more imp, go to someone else.
note this was first plumbing experience for us. They asked us to buy the one of the internal parts for shower instead of purchasing themselves.
'This was a trick'. the part was ~$60, plumbing cost was around 1000 that then became more than 2000.
they gave us a build.com link and pushed us to buy the part instead of buying themselves (so that they don't have to worry about the warranty, which we realized later). this is what bit us.
the part unfortunately ended up being faulty. so the shower did not work.
but since the installation was fully done, they said that we have to pay plumbing charges twice as faulty part was not their fault. so we agreed to pay as by this time we just wanted our shower to work.
when it came to the warranty, they changed their words that they never asked us to order as they already have all the parts. and all I can share is, for me to order something so complicated that i have never seen in my life, I need to have a good plumbing experience: we realized that this was their trick very late.
they asked us to order same part again, then said, this time they will cover in warranty but when the job was done, they turned on us. We ended up paying twice the amount because of their mistakes.
we learnt that if we had just known that they have all the parts and this is just their way to get out of warranty, then we would have pushed them to get the parts. I am very disappointed with their service and hostility.
I would highly recommend anyone to think twice as they cheated. asking us once could have been a mistake, but twice is called cheating.
We had a flooding event in our only bathroom because of a clogged drain. We hired Danika Plumbing through Angi's website.
We described the problem and assumed that Danika would complete the job in a time-sensitive manner.
