Review and analyze now for company Harts Plumbers, Electricians, & HVAC Technicians and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Austin and Mike installed our EV charger in 10 minutes; knowledgeable, accommodating and responsive We are so very pleased with Harts! Called this morning to get a plumber and an electrician over to our rental. They were there within a few hours! Excellent! Very friendly and professional! Their communication was exceptional on the phone, text messaging and email.
Their pricing is very fair as well. They are our go to people from here on out! Thank you Harts for the excellent service! Love everyone here! From the first call to schedule to signing the dotted line when project is complete...
scheduling is almost always faster than I thought I'd get :-) Really love the email prior to techs showing up that include basic info about the tech, picture... nice touch along with excellent work ethic and skill.
Sorry to post this, but I feel it necessary for others needing electrical help and realistic quotes for the services done. I am not disqualifying the quality of work they do, I am sure it is top notch but I am talking here more in the context of the quote for a meter box replacement quote we got.
In short this was an emergency yes as we had a neutral connection going out at the meter box causing lots of issues but overall, was a complete fire hazard. Luckily Seattle City Light was able to turn off power quickly to prevent that from happening.
Harts was responsive and had an electrician out quickly who was very professional and friendly. But after assessing the situation he quoted us the need to not only upgrade our meter box, but complete breaker panel replacement, plus more work with grounding etc all for $15k?!! I talked with him about how we don't want or need the panel replacement from them because I already pulled a permit to do that my self due to remodel project coming up and ultimately, that wasn't the emergent issue at hand here.
They "talked to their manager", much like a car salesman about seeing if it was possible to bring down the costs due to me pulling the permit already. Which they came back after a few minutes bringing the quote down to $11k for meter box and new grounding rods etc (which I found out we have 2 perfectly fine rods and at code distances, along with ground bonding to pipes etc) so that wasn't needed ultimately.
I passed the opportunity and got several other quotes which all others were more realistic estimates. Some higher than others but overall ballpark what I would expect.
I found a fantastic electrician in the process who was able to complete the meter box job for 2K and was amazingly helpful and insightful with giving off-hand pro-tips for me doing my panel as well. Which is now done and works amazingly well! Thank you Marcus, you know who you are.
So my only advice for others out here, ALWAYS get several quotes as it provided us with options and insight as to what the type of work needed would average out to. These larger companies are responsive and quick to get the work and I am sure the quality of work is great, but most people don't have that kind of money to just throw away.
We'll never choose harts because of this experience but you do you. Best of luck everyone ! I do not write a lot of reviews and certainly not negative ones because of the impact a bad review can have on a business.
However, I feel compelled to share my experience with Harts Plumbing to warn others about their untrustworthy and unethical practices. I've heard bad things from others, and after my own experience, I have to agree.
They quoted me nearly $4,500 to replace a simple 2-inch wide x 18" long drainage pipe. Their estimate was 3 to 4 times higher than other 2 plumbers.
When I questioned their pricing, they explained their hourly rate was an outrageous $1,200. I ended up going with a different plumber who was significantly cheaper and did the work in 1 hour.
I strongly advise getting multiple quotes before considering Harts Plumbing, as they seem to inflate costs. Horribly overcharged - to the tune of $1000 an hour.
They cancelled appointments on me up until I was at the absolute end of the time slot so I had no other option than to agree to their mob-boss level extortionary rates. Have reached out to them and gotten nothing but canned responses that clearly didn't even try to review the actual situation before brushing me off.
Didn't credit me for parts supplied for the call and highway robbery pricing. Patricia Beware Harts Plumbing does not care more whether you are the employee or a customer.
Harts employees are forced to up sell jobs in order to keep their jobs. They have to mandatory sell over a certain amount a week , do you think a tech is going to be honest or be pressured to be dishonest knowing every dollar counts and determines if they have a job the following week? The technicians that are sent out are not certified techs they are salesman there to up sell every job to meet their quota and stick a sign in your lawn to promote them.
Don't believe me just ask. Look at their 1 star review on here and believe them all.
Don't let the smooth rehearsed talking tech , BMW vans and bright orange colors fool you into thinking they're your last resort. They overcharge for every job down to the wire , make sure you get 3 different quotes for any job I guarantee Harts plumbing will have the highest bill.
Never again will I recommend this company to anyone if you need electrical or plumbing services look elsewhere or be the next sucker paying $15,000 for a job thats most likely costs thousands of dollars less done by a more reputable company. Called at 11 am.
They were already near us. Came to our house by Noon.
Found the clogged trap and were gone before 1 pm. Matt and another man in training were professional and genuine.
I would Highly recommend them for your trouble call or service needs. Thanx from Port Orchard.
I scheduled an appointment for to have my drain unclogged. I cannot shower or so dishes.
I got off work early to be here and then received a text saying they were not going to be able to come and wanted to reschedule it for 4 day later. When I called them, they said there was nothing they could do until 4 days later.
I would only use them if you do not have an emergency and have lots of time to wait for them. Tech installed a new 50 gallon electric hot water tank.
He did a good job. There was no problem with the tank we had replaced it was just over 15 years old and I didn't want to worry about a failure.
I asked if a permit was needed. He said it would cost an additional $600 to get a permit.
He also noted that most installs don't get a permit so I declined to get one. This was noted on my final invoice.
So I looked online to find out how much a permit actually is and it is $140. Now I have to follow up and get the permit myself.
I feel a reputable company would have insisted a permit was needed and not quoted a $600 cost. I booked an appointment for electrical work over a week ago.
They took the appointment, confirmed it and then today when they were supposed to be here I received a call saying they couldn't keep the appointment because I was outside of their service area. Seriously? They couldn't have known that when they accepted the work to begin with? Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend them to anyone anywhere.
They are incompetent. We had a shut-off valve go bad and after a number of estimates for replacement, Harts Services came in with an acceptable bid.
Luke showed up on time and was very professional. He reviewed the problem and got to work on repairing the valve.
Very friendly, informative and didn't mind all of my questions. He cleaned up the site and made sure everything was working before leaving.
Excellent customer service skills on top of his abilities and knowledge. BTW: Glad you opened up a shop in Lynnwood.
BRAVO! Harts service was easy to book (really helpful and kind agents over the phone) and they got there in good time on the day of my appointment. The technician was knowledgeable and we haven't had any problems since they were out here.
Would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area. Avoid these people I think yelp is burying all their negative reviews.
Without reliving the entire nightmare, I will just say that the repairman manipulated me by walking out without completing the job. a simple upipe repair in the bathroom became an $1100 charge.
I am not kidding. I am certain they have done this before just by the reaction I got from them when I called their office.
Worst experience ever. BBB no doubt has them on their radar.
All I can say is go elsewhere for plumbing work. I will never forget this negative experience as long as I live.
And I am in Seattle not San Francisco. $1100.
I still cannot believe it. If it is my Karma I don't know what I did to deserve it, but I know they guy who cheated me is in for a real Karma blowback down the road.
Once again, an experience I will never forget for the rest of my days. We found a leak in our garage recently that led to a call, you guessed it, after hours, on the weekend, on a Saturday.
Thanks to being members of Harts Plumbing, we were able to get a plumber out to assess the problem that led to the replacement of our 46 year old copper pipes throughout our house, and our hot water heater. Chris L.
found the source of the visible leak in our garage, and did an on the spot repair of the hot water line leading to the washing machine that had split, that gave us time to troubleshoot the rest of the house. Chris L.
checked everything in the house under the house, etc. He showed us the video evidence that showed our pipes were weeping under the house.
We were not pressured throughout the process. We were able to get financed for the job that is under warranty.
Justin H. Journeyman Plumber, Kelsey, etc.
did a great job replacing our old hot water heater, replaced the old leaky copper plumbing with Pex, and added insulation to the pipes. Installed a shutoff valve in our kitchen and replaced the shutoff valve under the house in the crawl space.
Installed a new 50-gallon hot water heater with earthquake brackets according to Washington state code, etc. Justin H.
and his crew came back and verified that everything was installed and working ok. Harts arranged for the county inspector to check the job for us, making it hassle free for us from beginning to end.
Harts Plumbing kept us in the loop and well informed at all times throughout the project. Harts Plumbers are thorough.
I trust these guys! I appreciate their professionalism, integrity, and passion in a job well done. There are so many plumbing companies in the Seattle area! I think I've chatted with most of them.
When water started pouring out of my bathroom faucet, I didn't think it would take more than a few minutes to get a plumber over to fix it. I found 3 that would come look at the problem and give an estimate.
Each of them charged 50 for the estimate. 2 days of calling hundreds of companies, 150 dollars down the drain (haha), 3 estimates ranging from $1700-$2250 to replace the faucet that I had already purchased?!!! I was starting to watch YouTube videos on diy faucet replacement when I had a friend recommend Hart's service in Lynnwood.
I thought that was a little far until I remembered I wasn't the one traveling. GAME CHANGER! These guys are amazing.
They were prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. It took less time than getting the quotes, and only 1/4 of the price! I will never call anyone else.
Very poor experience with Harts Services. They scheduled to come to my house to install a tankless water heater, and they said they would call me to tell the technician was on their way.
I called to follow up close to 4pm because I was suspecting that they weren't going to come anymore, to only find out that they supposedly tried to reach me a few times, and cancelled the service. I obviously did not get any phone calls or voice mails (or text messages as I had mentioned this was my preferred means of communication).
Really upset because I had set aside the afternoon to have this done and do not have any more availability to do that before the end of the year. So yes, don't contact them if you need something reliable.
I can't speak to the quality of their work, but we had them come out to give us a quote for a complete repipe of our house. The person who came out made weird comments about how "fancy" our instruments were (we have a cello) and when we asked questions about some of our current pipes they gave us wrong answers (we asked these questions as a way of determining how knowledgeable/trustworthy they are).
When it came to the quote, they gave us a quote for about $34,0000 pex, or about $50,000 copper. This is pretty crazy high, so we decided to go with someone else who did a great job and only cost about 13,000 for pex.
They've since left multiple voicemails asking me to call back to discuss their insane quote and have been sending unsolicited spam emails. Since they don't take my non-response as enough of an answer, I decided to write this review.'''.
