Highly recommended! These guys were great, even when faced with unexpected circumstances. We were having a mains line fixed (failed short section of steel, right after meter replacement), when it was discovered that we also had a short section of plastic (about 10'), in addition to the short section of steel connected just a few feet from the meter (why in the world they ran copper -- steel -- short_plastic_section -- copper_rest_of_run_to_house_hookup is WAY beyond comprehension).

Turned out the plastic had a big bend (also for reasons no one could figure, it was a straight run up the front of the property, no large trees, etc.), that they didn't discover until trying to back-feed the new pipe over the old. This necessitated a short horizontal drilling section, which they covered, on the original estimate.

I'd use this outfit again in a heartbeat, given my experience on this. I hired Raymark to replace/upgrade my existing water heater tank to a tankless water heater.

Joe, Tristan, and John did a terrific job. Highly professional, clean installation, and quality was exceptional.

Their pricing was also very fair, something I wouldn't be able to say about most other plumbers I contacted. I would highly recommend hiring Raymark, and they will be my go-to plumber moving forward.

Needed a plumber, yes it was Saturday night but I would at least expect them to call me back and say that they couldn't make it out. But I never even received a call back.

Done Right Plumbing came out and fixed my issue is 30 minutes. Joe Gardner and his team at Raymark Plumbing are the best! My house had the brittle, prone-to-break C-PVC pipes, so I had to have the entire place re-piped.

This is a wide-spread issue in my development, so I had already talked to a handful of neighbors who had already done this. Based on what they told me about their experiences, my own research, and then my experience with Raymark, Raymark was cheaper, faster, and less destructive.

Everyone told me they had to entirely rip out or at least remove parts of my bathroom tile. Joe replaced the pipes and the soaker tub faucet from below and left the tile intact.

Even though the whole process took about 5 days, the water was only off for long periods of time for 2 days. Every night I had water in the kitchen and one full bathroom, so I didn't have to stay in a hotel or at a friend's house.

(One place had my neighbor move out for a mind-boggling 2 weeks!) The price was more than fair, they showed up when they said they would, and everything they touched looked better afterwards (except, of course, the holes in the wall, which a drywall place had to repair). I would highly recommend them.

These people are great. We needed a new water main for our Ballard house, and while other plumbers quoted a straight replacement, the folks at Raymark suggested a much smarter approach: entering the house at a different point, bypassing most of the problematic galvanized pipe, and avoiding moving some VERY heavy stones.

They fit us in quickly, charged a fair price, and were a delight to work with. In these weird times when everyone is dealing with labor shortages, Raymark really exceeded my expectations.

Bonus: In the process, they also alerted me to a different problem lurking in our yard. They ran a scope through the sewer to make sure the new water main wouldn't accidentally hit it, and in the process they showed me that tree roots were starting to block parts of the pipe.

That's not an upsell; that's just thoughtful, customer service. Order placed, and I'll have them back the next time we need something else done, too.

Needed a pressure-reducing valve (PRV) and a p-trap under one of our sinks. Our plumbing technician, Mario, was excellent.

He was professional, communicated well, and did great work. We highly recommend.

There was a subsequent issue with one of our sinks, but Raymark understood our concerns and took care of it. We are very appreciative of the customer service.

We hired Raymark for an interior repipe for our 1915 house we recently bought that still had original galvanized pipes. We got a few astronomical quotes from companies that just gave our pipes a cursory look and charged us a formulaic quote, in some cases adding on things we didn't need.

Then Joe from Raymark came out and we could instantly tell he was more knowledgable and thoughtful than any of the estimators at the other companies. He figured out that kitchen and bathroom fixtures had been redone in recent years with copper, so they just needed to replace the galvanized connected to the copper, meaning the hardest and most labor intensive part of the job--which was included in the other quotes we got--were not necessary and they wouldn't need to cut into the walls or anything.

He gave me a quote that was about half as much as the others, and we were extremely impressed and satisfied with the work his team did. We'd recommend Raymark in a heartbeat to anyone who needs any kind of repiping work done.

I had a leak in my kitchen sink that was pretty significant. I had another plumbing company come out to repair it (which they did), but they said that my kitchen line (that ran from my kitchen sink under my concrete patio to the sewer lateral line) was old, rusty and full of holes and needed to be replaced, which meant jackhammering the concrete, digging a new ditch and replacing the pipe entirely, a cost of $16,000! I had Joe come out and asked him to scope the line for me, and if the line was clogged, have him try and clear it with a blowbag.

Joe was wonderful! He was very pleasant and very careful. He scoped the line, and it turned out that the line was brand new and not clogged at all.

He was very careful and diligent and scoped my other lines (for my toilet, bathroom sink etc). He also looked at my overall plumbing and the pipes in my house.

After inspecting all my lines, he re-connected my kitchen sink line to my sewer line. He had to cut new pipe to undo the job the previous plumbers did.

In total, he spend about 2 hours with me. I was very happy that my kitchen line was clean! I was very pleased with my interactions with Raymark Plumbing and I intend to use them again for my plumbing needs.

I had a very negative experience with this company involving concrete work. As someone else noted in an earlier comment, the concrete patch that Raymark performed stuck out like a sore thumb - different color, less aggregate, and not even level! I complained and was very disappointed with the response.

If your project includes concrete work, my suggestion is to find another company to do the work. I won't be working with Raymark again.

We've had Raymark do multiple projects for us over the years. Our real estate agent called them to provide a sewer scope back when we first bought the home years ago, and we worked with them more recently to replace the 1952 water main and galvanized pipes, and again when I left the hoses attached last winter during a deep freeze (oops).

Everyone on the Raymark crew is friendly, reliable, respectful, responsive (even to my dumb mistakes!) and they stick to their estimates. Save yourself a headache and look elsewhere.

Scheduled a service for various items and was told "our plumbers come ready to work" and that they'll estimate the cost when they arrive. Well, their estimate was more than 2x the cost of two other bids I received from other long-standing and reputable plumbing companies.

Furthermore, they charged me $425 to even GET the estimate because they had to unscrew a shower valve from the wall to determine the brand. Then it was a week of "waiting for the parts guy" to determine if they have the cartridge for fixing it.

Not only did I have to press the follow up to even get the estimate, they didn't even offer to apply the outrageous $425 diagnosis fee toward the estimates costs. Literally 12 minutes and it costs me $425! It was clear they gave me the "we'd rather not replace a toilet and shower valves" cost.

As such I consider them unethical, deceitful, and prowling on their customers. Two other companies came out and spent the 12 minutes to diagnose at zero cost and both identified the brand and had replacement parts on the truck.

Stay away from Raymark! The scheduler (I think Michelle? sorry if I got your name wrong!!) was very helpful getting me scheduled. Mario came out quickly and thoroughly tested to determine we no longer had a problem at no cost.

Very professional and courteous team. Thank you! I used them in November to re-hook up my floating home in November after the big windstorm knocked my main connection to water out.

They came quickly and seemed to do a thorough job. I paid nearly $500 for this service.

Now in January my connection is coming loose again. Loose enough that it sprays water continuously and the dock has shut off my main water connection to my house.

I called on a Wednesday asking them to revisit the fix they did in November and consider a discount since I expected the last fix to be permanent and it only lasted 3 months. Prior to this my connection had managed to last 17+ years.

They said that I had an appointment for Thursday and I didn't need to be home. They would call me.

The person who made the appointment said she would talk to her supervisor about the discount, but who knows what happened with that. At this point it doesn't matter because I am going somewhere else.

I came home Friday night (after a long day at work). No phone call.

No visit. I called them and left a message to say how upset I was that not only did they not show up for their appointment but did not stand by their work.

I will be going elsewhere. I am letting the rest of my dock know so their number can be removed.

We need reliable, lasting help. This is not it.

What a huge relief! I had a sink and toilet installed yesterday. The estimate (about $1275) seemed high to me, initially, since I had already bought the fixtures, but I have an old house, with old plumbing, and they said it would take three hours.

Which it did, with the two guys working hard. As they worked, various issues came up that they explained to me thoroughly.

They were courteous and professional, and they did a great job. We're really happy with the way everything looks and operates.

I also had them take a look at my shower head, which was leaking a little. They pointed out a worn spot and suggested I replace it at some point, and then they put it back, using washer and/or tape magic, so that it's no longer leaking.

I was going to give them a great review anyway, but this morning I found a new shower head in a little bag in my bathroom, and that really puts it over the top. What an amazing gesture! Raymark's high-quality service was a bright note in an otherwise super-stressful election week! And yes, they were fully masked.

We met Levi for the second time today when he came to help us with a clogged sewer line. He was just as efficient and personable as on the first visit.

He communicated extremely well and methodically worked through the problem. He found another inside clean out access that I had forgotten about.

He left with our line clear and ready to use. We had called Raymark last night when the second toilet overflowed (long story - we thought the block had been cleared).

It has been owned by two sisters for over 40 years. Kevin works magic with sewers and drains.

He and Joe, who oversees plumbing, scope until everything has been evaluated and fixed. Their teams are experienced, professional and nice! My problem started with an undiagnosed sink hole.

I now have updated sewer and drainage systems and the sink hole has been excavated and properly filled. They were fair and efficient!!! My house is now ready for the next 90 years.

Working with Ty and Kami at Raymark was wonderful--which is saying a lot, given the bad situation. The water main from our house to the city went out in the middle of a work day, they came out and got us water right away.

I sure was hoping I could write a great review for this company - they're neighbors and post fun, inspirational signs in front of their offices. I called them for a job to replace an outdoor faucet.

I'd done the initial work: bought the frost-free faucet and cut into the dry wall. Without even looking into the hole I prepared, they wanted to charge me more than twice of any other company I contacted.

I paid their exorbitant (though previously agreed upon) $86.98 visit fee and said no thanks. I called another company (whom I'm about to give a 5-star review).

With their visit fee of $49, I ended up paying 32% of what Raymark wanted to bill. Do your homework - ask around and get several bids.

Its all about attitude. First time/small time customer.

Clogged parking-lot drain. Joe and his assistant showed up.

This was a six-foot deep dig-out job of wet-black-stinky stuff. Both dug in, worked hard and cheerfully until the job was completed beyond my expectations.

And the price was more-than-fair. Yes -- shovel work isn't complicated.

But its all about attitude and these guys I'm calling again as needed. We have been using Raymark exclusively for about 8 years, starting with a water heater replacement.

At the time we loved that it is a truly family business and the moderately reasonable cost. However we chose to go with their recommendation for a water heater that was supposed to last at least 10 years.

With only two adults who are rarely home in the house and less than normal usage, the water heater they advised us to buy from them and have them install is now leaking, and we hadn't budgeted to replace it this soon. We are quite unhappy.

I have a leak in my water line to my house right now so the city of Kirkland had to come out to shut off my water so it wouldn't continue to leak. I contacted Raymark yesterday and was told that a technician would contact me soon to come out and take a look ASAP because they know that I am without water to my home in Kirkland.

I assumed I would hear back but when yesterday but when I woke up this morning with no contact from them I reached out again only to find out that they don't service the area I live! In addition to it being difficult to live in a house without water, both of my kids played in High School sports games last night and had to go to school without a shower. When I told the person on the phone that I could have used that information yesterday she hung up on me.

Years ago, Raymark came out and did some work at my house. I had texted my husband when they got there (about them being there) and when the bill came, they had billed themselves there way earlier.

I called them out on it and they argued about it. I offered to show them my text but they declined.

They adjusted the bill and that was that. Just now I called to schedule them to come out and the woman on the phone was super rude to me.

I said, "Why are you being so rude to me?" She said, "I have notes here that I've had to deal with you before and you ACCUSED us of over-charging you." Ummm...well you DID over-charge me and how does that make it OK for you to be rude to me now? I was giving you a second chance. I won't be calling there again.

Lesson learned!! We had a great experience from our initial call for service through job completion. They communicate well and were both professional and a pleasure to work with.

The quality of the work was top notch and they were very clean and safe. I would highly recommend them and will use them moving forward.

A sewer sump pump for a backyard cottage stopped working on sat oct 26th 2019,Ty from raymark came sunday morning.This pump is located in a 4 1/2 foot tall crawlspace under the main house and was permitted and approved for use 9 years ago. I called raymark as they respond 24 hours/day for emergencies.

Ty called me back and stated he could be there in about an hour which was great. There was laundry backup water in the tub in the cottage.Truly couldn't put this off and there was some spillage in the crawl space as the 4 inch drain had disconnected from the pump basin.

Indeed a messy job. As I recall Ty quoted a $500 fee just to come out and that the job could run up to $3400 for sump replacement.I agreed for him to come believing that it certainly wouldn't be the high end,was I ever wrong.He did a very competent job but essentially took just out the old pump and installed a really nice grinder pump,adjusted some of the PVC pipes ,sealed the 4 inch pipe really well into the old basin,added some supports under the drain pipe and did some test runs.

That is pretty much the extent of work.He did feel the basin wasn't properly installed but said it would cost another $2300 to dig down 8 inches,install a new basin and get the proper grade. I couldn't afford this as I just retired this year.

So he was diligent and had the new pump in the old basin up and running in about 3 hours.I was very happy about that as someone is living in the cottage.He was polite and seemed to do a good job.. If you have an emergency sewer issue,however, this is not the company to use due to their exorbitant pricing.I did pay $3400 plus $343 in tax =$3743.00.I was in a bind so had to do it..

Look elsewhere 1st if you have the time.. Despite the hour-long arrival window they gave me, the guy was still a full half hour late.

I asked how long it would take, and he said about an hour. I told him to let me know if he thought it would take longer, because I was already going to be late for work at this rate.

He waited the full hour before saying he hadn't been able to fix it, and I was already late enough that I had to hustle him out the door, leaving a HUGE mess for me to clean up later. Additionally, they seem to have a hard time keeping their information straight.

The appointment was set up by my property management, and when the guy called to say he'd be late, he called them instead of me. Then, a few days later, someone from their office called me and left a message, clearly thinking I was the property manager (despite my voicemail message, which states in no uncertain terms that I'm a journalist).

Not exactly impressive service. We live on a steep ravine with a creek at the bottom.

Yesterday morning, the City of Seattle notified us that our side sewer (which goes down the hillside into a sewer trunk line that runs 8 feet below the creek) was leaking raw waste into the creek. The city gave us 3 days to repair the break, or face stiff fines.

Yikes! So at 12:30 p.m. yesterday, I called Raymark.

They had a crew on-site at 2 p.m. and ran a camera down the side sewer to identify the break in the line.

This morning a crew showed up at 8 a.m., dug down about 4 feet, and had the damage repaired by 1 pm. They're taking care of the city permits and will follow up with the inspector in two days.

One of the two owners was on-site for most of the process, as was a senior supervisor. They communicated well, gave a clear estimate, and are pleasant and easy to work with (this includes Pat in the office).

This has been a costly adventure (there goes the new flat-screen TV!), but Raymark did what needed to be done. Fast, competent, pleasant.

What more could you want? (Except not to have a problem with your sewer!?) After a poor outcome with another plumber, I was calling around to find someone who could respond to an emergency...water pouring into my basement. RayMark was reccomended by another plumber as someone who would have the equiptment to handle a potentially larger job, and they were great to work with.

After a little back and forth coordination, they managed to get to my house in under 90 minutes from my first call. The intial review was something they needed bigger equiptment for, so they had to come back...but had warned me in advance that this might be the case.

While they were fixing the issue, some of the equiptment broke, but they went back to the shop for new materials and were still finished timely. The team explained every step, and provided opportunities to ask questions and ensure I was comfortable with everything before it happened.

I'll definately have them on call for any future issues. Prompt, good communication, seems like a fair price.

I believe this is a family owned local business that employs people, not a 'network' with random people. If you have to advertise in Seattle then you aren't getting good word of mouth.

Raymark was a recommendation to me and I can recommend them to others. Raymark Plumbing went above and beyond the call of duty in completing a very unusual new construction plumbing project that presented many challenges of every description.....but they didn't give up on me.

Raymark demonstrated loyalty and dedication to me, their customer, at all phases of the project. The estimates were clear and coherent and the price was more than fair.

Every time I see one of their trucks going down the street I am reminded that they did an excellent job, and I am so glad I chose them for the project. The previous owner of our house used Raymark to run the gas line to the kitchen so we could have a gas stove.

We thought (and so did the owner) that it would be all set up to just put the stove in, but it was left capped under the house. When I called, they said they had to know what type of stove so they could put the line through on the correct side.

This doesn't make sense as other plumbers I called said this doesn't matter. They then quoted me a price which apparently only included labor.

When I called back to get a full quote, the guy, Phil, was very hesitant and responded with, "Um, maybe $100, maybe more." No thanks! Would not recommend just based on this experience as they clearly left the pipe to get more money out of us. When I think "Raymark" I think "arrogant" and then I think "don't call me when the boom slows and business decreases" - I called repeatedly to have questions answered and struggled to get a call back.

The bid outlined high level buckets with exorbitant prices. We'll go ahead and wait to find an honest and reliable plumber.

Hayden and Michael arrived AHEAD OF SCHEDULE (!!!!!) and got the two-part job in 30 minutes. This was somewhat of an emergency job and I was able to schedule repairs within 48 hours from time of emergency.

I am impressed. Thanks to Paris Plumbing for referring them to me.

Marvin and Trent did a superb job of fixing our sewer line clog yesterday. They were courteous, and fun to work with, and Trent was very efficient clearing out what turned out to be a hand towel, as well as removing roots, spotting a defect in the connector at the sewer main, and taking a video for us to present to the city.

All of this in just an hour and a half at a charge much less than I expected. Those two gents are keepers for Raymark for sure! Raymark just came out to our house and they did a great job as always! We had water backing up in our garage because our old pipes have been damaged and clogged by tree roots.

Joe and the guys were super nice and knowledgeable. They literally cleared out all the roots and we have great water flow! Replacement would be ideal, but they were able to do a great job at reviving our 70 year old sewer line, saving us a lot of money! I appreciate the guys taking the time to explain the problem, my options, and the solution.

They literally show me the results on the camera! It was a BIG difference. I could see the extensive root system in our sewer lines and see the clear results after the clean-out process.

Now we are "good to flow" and we will definitely be calling them again next time! I would recommend this company based on the results, integrity and transparency. Trent was very thorough in his analysis of what caused our sewer backup and he was able to explain clearly so I understood what the issues were and recommended possible solutions.

Super happy with these guys! We live on Mercer Island and always feel like there's some sort of "Mercer Island Tax" with contractors but not these guys. They cleared some of our downspouts (we have a flat roof - awful!) and gave me some AMAZING money-saving tips so I may not have to call them out all the time.

I've used them for a long time -- they were always high priced and I spent a great deal on them. Now I have an emergency and suddently it is a $500 minimum to come out anytime in the next several days; otherwise wait many days for a plumber.

I am. After trying to clear a utility sink clog ourselves and another plumbers recommendation we called on Raymark for help.

Dakota and partner spent about an hour in which they snaked past the clog and re-snaked 3 times to be sure. They arrived when they said they said would worked fast, and were friendly and tidy.

I recently had roots in my sewage pipes and needed a costly repair and went with Raymark Plumbing for the job. We needed to put down a large deposit (ok-normal).

After putting the money down, we figured we would be able to get an appointment quickly. Not so, It was 10 days before they came to our house (only after begging and flooding).

The reason was there was a lot of rain (this was in October) and they had some emergencies-I get it. But, I was still not on the schedule and called them to find out when I could get help.

They said "They didn't know". Then I said "I was about to have a party that weekend and my house would be full of people"...They then said, "That is a different story, we will be out tomorrow"!?!? They snaked out the pipes so when people used the toilet we would not have a back up-ewww! The job was finished in 2 days the following week and we paid around $4k and we were happy with the plumbers.

Then, last night happened...our kitchen and bathroom sink were flooding, clogged and not sure why. Was it connected to the pipes that were repaired? I had no choice but to call Raymark in case it was something they may have missed.

Left 2 voicemails and got a call back from the owner. I will say, I just had some mouth surgery on Wednesday and was not in the best spirits and I was was very anxious about flooding.

I just wanted someone to come to the house and help with the situation. So, she asked me some questions and I told her what I could not being a plumber.

I answered maybe 5-6 questions, then asked "can I get someone to the house"? Then she said "You do know you will have to pay time and a half"? "Yes" I said "Can I please have someone come to my house"? Then it got heated because she just wouldn't answer if I can get someone out or not. I think we were both having a bad day.

She said, "she would call a crew and send them out". I asked"how long would it take"? (because I had to pick my kids up from a game) and she said, "Your guess is as good as mine"! I asked "Where are you located"? She said "Northend" "Ok, that doesn't really help me" She then said "That is all I can tell you" UNBELIEVABLE! So, in my experience with Raymark.

The plumbers were nice and knew what they were doing. I spent $540 last night to snake a pipe (1 hour) and had a huge headache from the experience.

I don't know if this is the norm for Raymark but it was incredibly awful for me and my checkbook. The gentleman who came out was superb.

He was a whiz with our old style faucet and plumbing. He was knowledgeable and professional.

I came home to find my hot water heater leaking profusely from the top. After getting a recommendation for Raymark from my cousin who is a realtor, I called and got the after hours number.

We face-timed and he instructed me how to take care of the leak and what he believed the problem to be. When I called at 8:30a the next morning, the person I spoke with (sorry I forgot your name!) was courteous, helped me get her all the info about the tank she needed, and assured me someone could come fix it today.

About 2 hours later, Chris was in my garage and had replaced the part in about 5 minutes. I am absolutely blown away by this amazing service.

I had him do the work (couldn't take more time off of work), went to the office and simply asked if they thought it was ethical and fair to charge that much for 1 hour of work and the cost of a J-bend. Didn't get angry; just asked.

The woman in the office wouldn't answer the question. She said she'd look into it and get back to me.

Never heard from her again. I guess they think that is fair and ethical.

So they won't be getting a call next time I need a plumber. Preying on people in a jam is no way to run a business.

When he didn't, I phoned them, and they asked if he could come still later today, or tomorrow. They had told me that he would be here between noon and three, which ought to be a wide enough window for them to schedule a guy, or at least to phone me if they couldn't make it.

This was for a large residential job, about $15,000, to install a side sewer and pump at our home. You'd think they'd want to show up to bid on it.

If they can't even get here to do the estimate, I imagine that it would be painful to have them work on our project. Give me a break.

Wish I could charge them for my time. I scheduled an appointment for a plumber to replace my toilet and went through at least 7 phone calls with them to clarify matters due to confusion on their part.

Plumber Jim was courteous and seemed capable (it was not a difficult problem, bad washer - so I can't really judge how they would do with more complex stuff).

I must have talked to and met up with close to 10 different plumbers, sewer/drain contractors over the past 2 weeks because one thing led to another, and I was basically looking at having to hire somebody to dig up a section of the sewer pipe, right in the middle of the street (a long story....).

And I met Kevin, who came out to do the estimate for Raymark Plumbing. From the get go, he was on time, courteous, professional and very patient.

He listened to my sob story and looked at the video of my sewer line and the street where we might have to dig. He even went out of his way to check out information with the City (Seattle Public Utilities) for me, which was above and beyond what I expected.

They did a re-pipe to PEX at my 1950s house (recent purchase) which had the original galvanized plumbing, low water pressure, no warm water. Joe did an initial walk-thru, provided an estimate with suggestion to include an interior shut-off valve.

The 2 man crew arrived on time as scheduled and worked full days. They were considerate in conversation with me and also with each other; kept job noise to a minimum.

Ty, the lead plumber, reviewed his plan prior to start, answered my questions, and mid-job showed me the corroded pipe. There was minimum patch work involved.

Re-pipe has made a remarkable difference. I will continue with Raymark on drain lines and gas line extension for appliances.

After trying all the recommended solutions on the internet and having another plumber try to solve what we thought was a sewer gas problem we called Raymark. Everything about the experience was 5 star.

First they asked good questions on the phone to try and determine what was our problem and what we had already tried as a fix. The crews were all tied up but they figured out a way for a supervisor to come to our house.

The minute he walked in the door he could smell our problem. He methodically checked things out with the plumbing system and pretty quickly figured out we might have a dead rodent in a wall instead of a sewer gas leak.

He could have wrapped up at that point but he wanted to solve our problem and be real sure it wasn't sewer gas from a cracked pipe. After a little exploring he did zero in on the area where the smell was coming from and with a couple of cuts into the walls was able to spot the dead rodent behind some pipes in the bathroom wall.

-- Problem solved. The supervisor headed out saying he consulted with me but didn't wind up doing a plumbing job so no charge.

Raymark came out to scope our sewer line and found a crack. They quoted $800 to fix it.

It seemed really high and after a few minutes they dropped the bid to $300 (estimate) if we would dig the hole ourselves and backfill. Yes, that's a $500 price break to dig your own hole? The work was completed and the guys did an excellent job.

However, they called with the total bill, $508! I could understand if they went over 10-20%, but the cost was over 50% more, and they never called to say the job was going to take longer or cost more. After talking with Margaret at the office, she was very rude and I'm still trying to get a copy of a detailed bill days later to know exactly what they charged me for.

Looks like they had a consumer complaint on the BBB for billing issues before, guess I should have done my homework before hiring them. Discovered the flex connector on the hot side of the water heater was dripping and more than just plop, plop.

I have galvanized pipes. They are old (the house was built in the 40s).

I would probably need to re-plumb the whole house and it would cost around $15,000! 2. He could try to cable out the blockage, but he said there was less than a 50/50 chance he could get his cable into the area where the clog was and we might need to rip out the wall to replace pipes .

3. Whether he was able to clear the blockage or not, if he attempted it, I would still have to pay the full fee of $295! I told him I didn't want his services and then I called Raymark in the morning (after stressing in the night about what massive plumbing situation and bill I was going to have to deal with the next day!).

The dispatcher called me back within about 15 minutes to let me know who would be coming and when. She called me back about 10 minutes before the repair person arrived to let me know he would be there in about 10 minutes.Tony arrived at 2:30, just as I had been told he would, and 35 minutes after arriving, the clog was cleared, everything was cleaned up and it cost $155 + tax! Tony was efficient, competent and a pleasure to deal with! Raymark replaced our sewer line at a reasonable price.

Once they set a date, they stuck to it and were in and out fairly quickly. My only warning is to make sure they do keep you in the loop as to when they plan to do your work.

Clay Swanson of Seatown's plumbing division came out to repair a drippy bathroom faucet. We purchased a replacement faucet just in case.

While the appointment was polite, and he was a nice guy, the end result was an expensive disappointment, as follows; 1) Can't replace the washer; has to replace the entire cartridge and isn't sure they have the cartridge in the van..... can't guarantee their work.

2) I paid $609 to replace the entire faucet system and silly me., I didn't check their work. We turn the faucet a quarter turn but water still doesn't come on.

We have to turn the faucet all the way to get the water on. Lousy installation he will blame on the product we bought.

Delta 3) The overflow drain on the side of the sink was clogged. I asked him to unclog it.

Sorry, you'll have to call the drain department for an additional charge & appointment! Did I call a plumber? I thought I did! So for $609, we will have to call a handyman to adjust these faucets so the water turns on fully. That'll probably cost us $150 more.

Oh, and the side drain is still clogged, I'll just have to be careful not leave if the sink is filling up with water, right? All for the low price of $609. What a bargain.

Seatown did a great job installing new wiring for my car charger and kiln, The technician was very professional and was able to adjust even when I changed my mind about one of the specs at the last minute. And Bailey was exceptional with sorting out the inspection for me.

I needed a kitchen sink to be unclogged. Called Seatown and the girl was sooo pleasant and told me they were running a special this month on clogged sinks etc so I booked them .

They e-mailed me with a time & photo of tech. and then the technician called while he was on his way.

On 12/18/23, two techs were scheduled to arrive onsite to assess the issue. I was given a heads up by phone, email and text.

No access was needed to the electrical circuit breaker panel. I appreciated the shoe covers used.

I was also glad the issue was able to be diagnosed directly. I was given a quote with a 50% deposit required if pursuing the service described.

I chose to pay it in full...great Merry Christmas to me! The return service appointment on 12/21/23 took only an hour. Same team (Gage D and Huntter L) were efficient with the removal of the dead unit and installation of the new one.

I wished I could have watched the actual process, but working remotely at home my schedule didn't permit that. I had to trust what was going on with the appropriate venting, fitting, and installation of the new exhaust fan.

Clean up was okay, not thorough. I was also provided an online invoice per my request and was received promptly via PDF attachment by email.

With tax, total for diagnosis, labor, and new unit was $1085.34. New overhead bathroom exhaust fan works great.

Quality, great explanations and customer service. I missed the quiet knock the first time they came but when I called they quickly apologized and had someone come out the next day $1200-$1500 estimate ! Shop around for sure ! I got new counters installed and have a brand under mount new sink .

Brand new single faucet with holes already drilled, new strainer baskets , and a new corded badger garbage disposal . I rolled when the technician said at least $12-1500 dollars and I said you may as well leave now because no way am I paying that much ! And additionally want to charge me $425 for emergency appointment at 2:00 in the afternoon.

But they waved that for me . I am a single hardworking woman! I work hard for my dollars.

I spent $30 dollars on parts and we'll do it myself! Please do not get takin advantage of by anyone ! They drive fancy trucks and text you a bio of their technician and looking good . But way too much money! Do your research! Don't do it ! Twice I have gotten electrical estimates from Seatown, twice their estimate were thousands more then their competition.

The first time I needed an estimate for installing ethernet, some lights/switches, and an outdoor light/outlet. Seatown quoted me $4220.13 back in 2020.

Multiple competing companies came in with quotes under 2k, they even offered an alternative solution for installing ethernet that reduced the amount of dry wall damage significantly, while Seatown seemed to try to argue for the most expensive option without even offering cheaper alternatives. The second time, in a new home in 2023, I again needed ethernet installed, outlets for the bathrooms and an extra one in the garage, couple three way switches, adding a couple light switches, and running a wire to the door bell so it can be hardlined instead of battery.

They gave us an estimate for $12,438.74 for all that work and again tried arguing for the most expensive options like requiring a whole new circuit for the bathroom outlets (Gave the excuse that if someone uses a hair dryer, it "could" overload the circuit, I don't own a hair dryer...). Again I got estimates from other companies and they were all under $3500...

Seatown was just under $9k more then the competition, and again the competition offered alternative solutions that were less invasive and destructive. My recommendation to people considering Seatown, shop around, make sure to get other estimates, don't get ripped off by this greedy company.

Don't let them use fear to charge you an arm and a leg, find a real company that actually wants to work with you. Brandon was awesome! We ended up loosing power when I attempted to change out an old thermostat.

We called and Brandon walked us through the process of getting our power back on and even chatted with me about the proper way to install the thermostat. Great company wit We hired Seatown to come out and investigate some questionable DIY wiring in our home from the previous owners that had resulted in some sconces no longer working. Zack stopped by and not only identified the problem, but found many safety concerns throughout our home.

We decided to go ahead and take care of the most concerning issues, including replacing all of the outlets, grounding copper piping in the basement, cleaning up exposed wiring, and adding some dedicated circuits where necessary. They also replaced the exhaust fan in the attic and added lights in the basement.

It took the team a couple days and they did great work. It was an investment, but worth it to make our home safer for our children.

Thanks for looking out for us, Zack! I chose Seatown to install a new ductless system in my home. I had an oil furnace and was also interested in having air conditioning.

During the initial process they convinced me a new ductless system would be the way to go as it would be way more efficient than the furnace and the savings from heating would help pay for the new system over the years. What a crock of sh*t! My energy costs have more than doubled just for heating since having the unit installed.

When I brought up this huge discrepancy they did send technicians out numerous times to investigate. They found something running when it shouldn't have thinking that could have been the reason for the huge jump in energy consumption.

After the problem continued and eventually swapping out the outside unit hoping that would remedy the situation I just got shoulder shrugs. They told me they never had seen this before and that the city is pushing for this due to how efficient they supposedly are.

I supplied them with more than a year's worth of utility statements showing the huge spike in consumption and the substantial cost I was now paying to more shrugs. The system that is now costing me more than double in expenses to heat my home, does so at an inconsistent level so that you find cold spots.

It's also costing more to heat less area as I now have bedrooms closed trying to make the system have the best chance for performing as possible. I've had numerous people make comments about the inconsistent heating in the house and say it's not normal for a ductless system.

The Kumo upgrade that was supposed to be similar to the Nest thermostat replacement is a con. It consistently is offline and is unable to be troubleshooted in the application.

I'm now stuck with a system that does not heat the house like the old furnace at higher energy consumption and more than double the cost for the low investment of nearly $20k!! Conned and completely ripped off is the taste in my mouth when it comes to Seatown. I would not recommend them nor will I ever consider them for home improvement needs in the future.

If you choose to hire them and they're telling how much you're going to save I highly recommend getting in writing. I needed to get an estimate for some plumbing work in my bathroom (as a followup from some previous bathroom renovation work that didn't last).

The plumber diagnosed the issue and wrote me up an estimate for a *huge* amount of work without any itemization, and charged me $300 for the diagnostic work. While he was here he also made some minor repairs to my tub spout, but used loc-tite to install the faucet even knowing that this was meant to be a temporary fix prior to a larger amount of plumbing to come down the road soon, and the spout wasn't even installed correctly, so I ended up having to remove it and replace it with a new spout myself.

After looking over things some more I determined that the actual scope of work that needs to be done is both a lot smaller and in a different location than the Seatown plumber realized. So, I went with a different plumber to do the actual job.

I needed to replace the old and non-functional HVAC system that I had before Spring started. I've requested quotes from about 10 different providers, however Seatown was hands down the most timely and responsive of all.

I had an appointment for a quote within 24 hours, and quotes in hand the next day. I've spoke with Matt, whom was very knowledgeable and patient.

Matt went through all the options offered, explained how each system would perform and set my expectations. Negotiating was quick, and we reached an agreeable price.

I got booked the very next week and work was expected to complete in 4 days, however, thanks to Andrew, Payton, Dylan and Owen it was expediently done in 3 without any sacrifice to quality. The team was extremely careful with everything in the house and overall complete professionals.

I'm happy with the final setup, and I strongly recommend Seatown. No wonder I see their vans and trucks flying around Seattle so much.

I have to be honest, I did not go with their bid. It was just not in the cards for me this year.

But let me tell you, Sarah was amazing. She was honest and upfront about my system, letting me know that I need to upgrade my entire system instead of just bandaging the current issues.

I will probably request her to come out to rebid when I'm ready and if you call Seatown for a heating system quote, request Sarah!! She is the best and goes above and beyond to educate and work with you. Despite Seatown wasting our time last year, first with completely dispatching the wrong personnel for the type of job for which we requested a quote, and then being complete no-shows for the rescheduled appointment, they are continuing to send unsolicited marketing to our house by mail after we have asked repeatedly for it to stop.

We regret ever calling these guys or giving them our contact info because now they seem entitled to treat it like a commodity. Every time I think Seatown has hit a nadir in our desire to ever do business with them again, they find a new secret reserve of annoyance.

I'm not sure what to say here except I'm FED UP with dealing with companies that don't have straight forward pricing and try to screw you over at any opportunity. I had 2 toilets rebuilt several months ago which cost over $185 each.

At the time, I thought this price was outrageous but needed to get the toilets fixed to stop water running incessantly so I agreed. This last visit the same SeaTown plumber quoted a price of over $600 to rebuild one toilet.

When I asked why it was more expensive by such an incredible amount, he said "oh, I only replaced the flapper on the toilets last time". This was NOT true, and we walked upstairs together and verified this.

He then looked up the invoice from his last visit and said he'd "match the last price"... as if $185 was a deal to install less than $50 in parts.

As a woman homeowner, this experience only confirms my worst beliefs that I'll be charged outrageous prices for simple home repair items if my husband is not home to deal with the technician. I'm completely mortified by the experience and likely will NOT do business with SeaTown again.

On a previous visit to fix an outdoor faucet, the same plumber told me there was no problem with the faucet despite nearly zero water flow. He only tested the water pressure not the flow rate.

After his visit, I diagnosed this issue with Google's help and tested the flow rate myself. I couldn't even fill a five gallon bucket in 15 minutes, so clearly there was a problem.

With this info, I rescheduled the repair. I'm sure the price charged on this repair was also too high, but it finally got fixed.

If women are so dumb, plumbers think they can take advantage of them, how did I diagnose my own plumbing issue??! SeaTown, please join us in the 21st century where customers are treated fairly, equally, and respectfully, without gouging us on prices. These people are awesome! The service is quick and they are accommodating to your schedule.

The receptionist is friendly and helpful, answering any questions you have. I had a botched job done by a previous plumber and they came out and fixed it.

I had Seatown install central air conditioning in my somewhat unique 4 level split level home. I had specific requests for routing the lines and their people worked hard to ensure my requests were met.

The finished product is working well now several months later. Their price was fair and they didn't try to scare me with any upsells at all like other AC companies did.

Overall a very enjoyable experience and I have a very high standard for people working on my house. Seatown rewired my house to remove knob and tube wiring and other wiring problems.

Employee Xavier and his crew were outstanding. They accommodated all of my requests and changes and after one week, had the job complete.

Moved into another place so it's time to update my review. This time we bought a property and it needed some tlc.

Blaine came out to look at our kitchen plumbing situation, there was evidence of a prior leak under the kitchen sink cabinet, the pipes were old, and the sink itself had some wear and tear. Since Blaine was already over, we asked him to do a mini inspection and he pointed out some other points of failure that had already occurred or would be occurring in the near future.

The sinks in the bathroom were metal and had visible rust on the undersides, the toilets were old and rocked around so there wasn't a good seal since the rings were squished, and the faucets were just old and ugly. Blaine took the time to walk us through various options and we chose to pick out our own parts and then have him come back to install the replacements.

There was also concern about rusty colored water coming out of only one faucet and we were considering flushing the water heater but decided to hold back because we haven't decided on whether we want to replace the unit. There was never any pressure on what to do, just patience and guidance.

We ordered what we wanted and scheduled the work out. Blaine and another individual (I feel bad I can't remember his name, he was also very chill) came back out to do the replacements and everything looks and functions so much better.

No leaks, no rocking toilets, no ugly sinks or faucets in the kitchen or bathroom, and a lot of confidence that everything else is solid for a while. If we ever run into a need we need to outsource, that fits within Seatown's scope, we will always come back here.

Most of us dread this kind of work because it's costly and time consuming, but everyone I've worked with from Seatown has made the process quick and painless, and it's a pleasure working with Blaine. Talk about overselling! Now I know why they can afford so many TV and radio commercials.

We had an electrical line repair issue for our HOA. After an on-site meeting, and without doing any additional research other than looking at satellite photos online, they quoted $16,000 to dig a new trench, including a traffic control study and a flagger for an intersection that leads to a private driveway with just 3 homes on it.

The 3 other quotes we received were between $2k-$4k and the electricians actually contacted PSE and performed due diligence. I would not consider or recommend this firm.

Reliable work, competent and friendly technicians, but at $600+ for an hour's work definitely spendy. Immediately no.

We just bought a house and has a plumbing emergency. When they told me that the emergency charge was $450 I figured we could wait.

They came out the next morning and told us the issue was the city's issue and they would call. City said no, homeowners problem.

They didn't call the right place. They put in bids that say "attempt" to do something and then actually they do no attempting.

They literally helped us 0%. We called the actual utility company and they came out and looked.

Obviously they called the wrong place or honestly, probably didn't even call. So then they said the bill.

Whatever. I agreed hoping they would actually attempt to help.

My bad. I told them to use my card on file to pay the remainder even though this is a scam.

Now they call and email every day telling me if I don't pay, they will send me to collections. EVERYTIME I tell to just use the card on file.

Literally spoke with someone on the phone, 2 mins later I get an email to pay. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Requested Seatown to provide HVAC maintenance and inspection service. We the agreement over the phone and yelp.

However, when the technician came, he just did an inspection for 5 mins and called me that he was done with the work. I asked for the maintenance service, and the technician said that he had to go to Whidbey Island.

Now, Seatown charged me with a full price for maintenance and inspection with just allocated their technician for 5 mins to visit. Tried to solve with them and they just keep charging me for the price of 5 mins visit and not honoring their deal.

We have been using Seatown's electric, plumbing and AC services to fix all the stuff our house flipper messed up. Most recently the AC with the water pump that was never connected and leaked down the wall causing a mold problem.

We have always been highly satisfied with Seatown even though we had problems with the fix. When we discovered the issue late Friday afternoon they still were able to get someone out on Saturday to fully fix it.

Would it have been better without the second trip? Yeah, but stuff happens and they still did everything else tip top perfect. We also recently had their plumbers diagnose a leak in the Bathroom.

We will have some sealing and a little drywall to fix but nothing major. Thanks team! We had our 1956 panel, outdoor connection and hot tub wire replaced.

Jarin & James worked almost nonstop for 11.5 hours in a seamless dance of wires and metal! These two gentlemen remained positive the entire time despite the cold day. I highly recommend Seatown to anyone requiring electrical work! Had to get a leak detected and fixed in the house.

The rep from Seatown came in and gave a free estimate. But the estimate for detection was over $3000.

Fix not included. Some other company came in and got the leak detection done for $250.

Fortunately, there was no leak -- so no fix needed. I Called for maintenance and evaluation of a ductless Heat and Air.

It was an easy appt. to set up and reasonably priced.

The technician recommended a long overdue cleaning; We scheduled service; and the technicians arrived on time. They did a great job, contained and cleaned up after themselves.

They were very professional, and they explained everything very thoroughly. I can comfortably recommend this company.

Outstanding! In a time where customer service barely exists, this company has it figured out. They were incredibly professional, efficient, knowledgeable...AND FAST! I called them on a Tuesday, they came out Wednesday (all the way to Whidbey!) for a complicated, propane water heater replacement and I had a new functioning water heater on Thursday.

Thank you Quinn and Martin! I had them over to cap a gas line. The gas guy started an argument about why I shouldn't get the gas capped, saying fracking is better for the environment than hydroelectric dams.

Out of nowhere. Like I get it, removing gas service affects his job but it was weird.

He also asked why I was getting it capped, I said that I was going all electric and he tried to tell me that houses are worth more with gas hookups. Lol ok boomer.

I just shrugged and he was visibly irritated. I had Seatown come in yesterday to do a general inspection and clean up on a electric heater in a new home I bought.

I ended up spending about $500.00 for the service and a heating coil that needed to be replaced. At night the vent for the furnace started slamming open and closed which is metal pieces loudly banging against each other.

This woke us up about a dozen times. I very politely called Seatown in the morning and asked if they could come take a peak at the furnace again because it wasn't happening prior to the work they did.

Their technician just called me and told me they would have to charge me for the repair. I own a small glazing company and I know that if I go do work on someone's home and I make a mistake it's not on them to pay me to fix my mistakes.

I think it's idiotic to try and charge someone to fix something that they broke or damaged. I won't be calling them again.

I had pipes burst in my laundry room and 1/2 bath back in January during the cold snap. Seatown had the staff and resources to respond within 24 hours to repair the damage and get my water back on.

They even gave recommendations for a mitigation company which I ended up hiring and was also fantastic. This is a very professional company with dedicated and knowledgeable staff that truly cares about their customers.

I would definitely call on them again should the need ever arise - they do fantastic work! They list their hours as 24/7 but that is not correct. I contacted them on Sunday morning.

Seatown got back to me on Moday with an apology and said they don't work weekends Our gas heater was only blowing cold air for the last two days. We called Seatown for a quote and from the start it was apparent that we were dealing with professionals.

Ryan, the service representative who took my call was very courteous, and helped to relieve my angst regarding calling for this type of problem. We've had less than stellar experiences with some of your competitors.

Appreciate not being gauged. I'm tired of the outrageous pricing - not just from Seatown but most local electric and plumbing companies.

We had Seatown out to bid disconnecting and hooking up a new gas oven because the company we bought the oven from did not provide installation. The guy who came was nice but immediately started making it sound like a much bigger deal than it was.

The result? Over $250 just to turn off the gas (like you turn a nozzle) and put a temporary cap on it. Then $300 to rehook it up with a $30 36" hose.

So over $600 for 10 minutes of work? We made sure to note to him he didn't have to pull out or push back the oven so it was very straightforward. He also got into potential large surcharges if he had to move the gas line if it wasn't in the exact right spot (not necessary at all that's why they have a 36" hose).

And that we would likely need a 240V outlet (also not required the oven takes 120V). Ultimately felt like upselling/overcharging.

I cancelled my oven order, changed companies, and paid $30 for installation. Removal to full install of the oven was 25 minutes.

Capping the gas line, rehooking it up with a new hose, and plugging the oven back in took the guy less than a few minutes. Over priced and entitled.

The guy tried to argue with me and then hung up real professional. So therefore I had to call the office to get the refund squared away.

Guys were on time, efficient, explained everything that needed explaining, and were very reasonably priced. - Lost quality as soon as you signed up for their plan - We signed up for their annual plan because the service was good last time, but that's the case this time.

Our appointment for maintenance was 8-11:30, but the guy arrived around 3pm. He took roughly an hour or so to finish the maintenance, but our AC stopped working afterward.

We called immediately after but nobody answered the phone. We called again at 8AM in the morning and we were told that seatown won't be able to send anyone for a week.

I don't know what happened to their good service, but we will not use their service again for the following year. They made a mistake but cannot fix it immediately, and we now need to tolerate this weather for a week.

It's a shame that there's no value in loyalty at all, look elsewhere! Cons: GET ANOTHER BID FIRST. I did not expect to be taken advantage of and accepted their bid.

It turned out that they charged me more than $800.00 for two men for 1 hour! After a LOT of effort, they finally gave me back only $100.00. As a business owner myself I would never pocket undue profits.

Pros: They were on time and did a good job. Excellent service and a great team.

We had them replace Tstats throughout the home for radiant floor heating and install a central hvac and heat pump system. They were on time, courteous, and professional.

Special call out to Justuce who was team lead and explained everything as he went, made sure both my wife and I were aware of the choices he and his team made, and even made the puppy comfortable! Would definitely use them again for any and all electric and hvac needs. Got a heat pump installed two months ago with three mini split units.

Went with three ceiling units for aesthetic reasons. Loving the dual heat/ac option.

Had a few issues with the install, but Seatown made them right. Will be using them again and recommending them to others.

Colby was a fantastic tech! We needed a bathroom fan replacement fast because we rent out a room in our house. Colby came on site a identified the fan we bought would not work for our installation, however, he came back promptly the next morning to install a fan that Seatown sourced.

We let him know we had a firm deadline and he was up to the challenge - from the time of arrival to fan replacement was about 30 minutes. We were so impressed by how fast the installation was.

We'd absolutely hire him again. For a bathroom fan installation it was about $1300, which is steep, however, the speed (which is what we needed) made it worth it.

We hired this company to replace the dining room ceiling light and install a bathroom fan. Colby gave us expert advice about digital dimmers.

He was prompt, courteous and efficient, working in our cramped, unfloored attic. I would certainly hire him again.

Definitely recommend. Five stars! We were without heat for two weeks in December in Seattle due to a broken furnace.

Some other company did nothing - visits -making up excuses needing to order parts. Another company didn't show up to their appointment.

I've been working with Seatown Electric for the past 5 years or so (when they installed our air conditioner) and each time I need them they always provide great service. I'm always impressed by how communicative they are, always on time, and very efficient and professional in their work.

Each of the reps who have come to my house to check on our air conditioning system have been great to work with and they always have positive attitudes. No! Very poor quality of service.

Electricians x 2 visits have misdiagnosed a failed circuit. Nope.

They need all your personal information to start the conversation. They have a big diagnosis fee (double than what most of the other businesses charge) and don't tell you that until you provide all your info including phone , email, full name.

When confronted as to why they did not mention about the charge before collecting personal info, their simple reason is that they want to see if they service the area. Isn't zip code enough for that? Why would they need email and phone number to see if they service the area? They act smart when reasoning about collecting personal info.

They expect you to blindly trust them that the personal info you share is secure with them. They pinky promise handling your info securely.

Sketchy businesses like these are everywhere. Be diligent and choose your service provider wisely.

Our hot water heater stopped working. Luckily in summer, since we have radiant floor heating.

The initial two visits were fine. Seatown diagnosed the issue as being a dead igniter, ordered a new one and installed it.

Good so far. Unfortunately the replacement igniter only lasted two days.

On the followup visit, the technician said he didn't think it was worth trying further repairs since the unit was 10 years old and showed some rust on the top. BUT - if I agreed to a replacement deal right then and there, they could knock a couple of thousand off the replacement cost of $15K.

I declined. Another company took a look, said the rust was just on the outside (it's a stainless tank), put in another igniter and ordered a spare.

For this company the igniters are known to be problematic. Estimated a replacement cost of $10K, but thought the unit should be good for at least another 5 years.

We have hot water and our bank account remains intact, no thanks to Seatown. I requested they come out to investigate a possible issue that could lead to an electrical fire.

Everyone I spoke to was incredibly kind and efficient. Their technician was very timely, highly educational, and well suited to tackle the issue.

The price was high, but by subscribing to a monthly package with their other benefits, it was in our best interest to choose them as the value they provide is worth the price. I had an appointment with Seatown to do some minor electrical work.

Upon arriving at my building, which they have worked on several times in the past, the electrician called and said didn't have the appropriate licenses to work on a building of this size. Isn't this something they should consider before scheduling work? Also, there was no apology for the inconvenience I had to do to rearrange my schedule for their ridiculously wide arrival windows.

If you think waiting for the cable guy is rough, call Seatown and book an appointment. Don't waste your time.

I requested a quote for installing a new mini-split heat pump system with eight inside air handlers. I pretty much could spec out the system that I wanted.

The first quote was over 60,000. I said that this was way too much, and Colton, the estimator, suggested they could go to 50,000, which I also felt was unreasonable considering that the equipment cost was about 20,000.

It is apparent that they will try to get as much as possible rather than provide service commensurate with the cost. I would avoid any company whose goal is to maximize profit unrealistically.

I update this review from 1 to 3 stars because the review is about the pricing process and not the actual work. My comments are not changed.

Would give 0 star if I could. I had a very bad experience with this company on a water heater installation project.

The staff I have communicated with, from technicians to their managers, are dishonest and arrogant. They charged $4,000 for a regular and simple 2-hr work of installation.

The equipment itself is only worth $900, which means they charged almost $3,000 for labor and other miscellaneous. This was actually 2-5x more expensive than other company' quotes.

However, their tech made a dishonest statement to me saying theirs is only "a bit more expensive than others". As a result I was misled by him to accept their price.

Tens of thousands of dollars wasted; I ended up paying full price a second time by another company to do it right. Parnell at Metropoliton was a coward about dodging the situation by lying to my face then ghosting me.

I hired Metropolitan Sewer Service to do a simple job of replacing a clogged gutter downspout p trap and adding a clean out. I foolishly paid them after receiving their invoice before looking at the work done, and later saw that the pipe coming up from the p trap was not aligned or connected to the gutter downspout which resulted in most of the rain water flowing onto the ground .

I really think that the job would never have been corrected if I hadn't called and emailed Parnell over and over again asking when they were going to correct their work. The two guys that came out to my house were beyond professional.

I don't think that kind of money can buy that level service. They were one-of-a-kind, unique, experienced, well seasoned, on point, especially when my neighbor came out harassing them and my wife because the pipe was located on the neighbor's property causing a battle to pursue.

It took 2 hours for the matter to get resolved with my wife the neighbor and the police. Again, the plumber's were relaxed, stayed calm, focused, patient, and waited.

When they had their chance it took them about a little over an hour to dig 3ft into the ground, cut cement, cut some old pipe out, and replace it. When the neighbor came out they could have packed their up their equipment and left to another job, but they didn't because their fucking awesome.

We recently had a side sewer replacement project performed at our home in the U District. Upon recommendation, I contacted Parnell at Metropolitan to come out and give us a bid.

After a brief, and a bit confrontational conversation, he agreed to come out to look at the project. Which he did within about an hour.

At that point, he stated he'd be sending someone out with a video camera to scope the line either later that day or the next day and would then provide an estimate. We waited for the guy to show up and he never did - on day one or two.

We also called Parnell and left a message which went unreturned. No communication, no apology, no explanation.

Based upon my brief experience with Metropolitan they completely fail in the customer service department. They may do quality work but we'll never know.

Not recommended. Metropolitan Sewer Service saved us from a huge unnecessary expense! We had hired another company to add a clean out access pipe to the main sewer line.

That other company made a video of the main sewer line and then used the video to try to convince us to add a liner. We paid $8,000 for the first job.

The (nameless) other company quoted $13,000 for the second job. We told them we wanted to get another bid.

Then they pressured us, saying they would be filling up the excavation hole the next day if we did not accept their bid and took the video of the sewer line with them when they left for the day! We quickly called other plumbing companies and, very fortunately,one of those we called was Metropolitan Sewer Service. They came immediately.

Without charge, they made another video of the sewer line and showed us that the pipe was completely normal. Saving us from a completely unnecessary $13,000 job.

Thank you Metropolitan Sewer Service! Guy came out, took a bunch of photos, said he would send a quote, never heard from him again. I've waited to write this review, thinking I'd get a call back to work with us on the damage they did to our bathroom for a clean-out call.

First off, the technician who came was already irritated from his prior call. It was obvious how frustrated he was, as he was grunting and breathing heavy over the 4 hours he was trying to snake our drain.

There was little to no communication with us over this time period. My husband went downstairs to check on him at one point, and he was told that he can't talk while he's doing this work.

Well, after 4 hours and $400 later, we still had a backup, damaged drywall, and were told the boss would call us to schedule a call the next day, since he realized we were out of service. No call...all weekend.

First thing Monday, Parnell called and apologized...phones weren't transferred to proper person over the weekend. OK.

Things happen. He offered to do the work at a discount, but it's hard having faith in a company that you've had nothing but bad experiences with.

We opted to use another company for the repair. I have since called and emailed multiple times to talk about the damage.

No response. I am sure these guys are great at sewer repair, but I wouldn't call them for a plumbing issue.

When I called them it was unclear to me what kind of issue I had: Sewer or Plumbing, since it had to do with getting sewage pumped to the city system. It turns out it was a plumbing issue.

The guy they sent had never worked with plumbing before - he admitted it when he opened the cover and said "This is out of my league". By just pure luck the issue seemed to go away when he was here, but it was back within a few hours.

I eventually had to get an experienced plumber to replace a burned out ejector pump and check valve. They ended up charging me for the house call (equivalent of nearly $500/hour) even though the guy literally did nothing except look in the hole and spray some water.

I understand I need to pay for someone's time - but when the person they sent admitted he didn't know what he was doing with a system like mine, I figured they cut a customer and yelper a break. Two stars for friendliness...and because he said he felt bad for charging me when he left.

I've been a customer for 15 years. We had these guys come to work on our 80 year old side sewer pipes.

I was pleased with the service and honest job well done. We went with them because they not only gave us the lowest bid but because the estimate they gave was very clearly detailed.

The crews showed up on time every day and the week-long sewer project interrupted our life very minimally, if you can believe it. Any questions or concerns I had were answered by the workers.

I thought they were knowledgable and overall nice guys. Today I received the bill and the inspection results, no surprises.

He responds quickly, has good prices and good work. Highly recommend! We had a drain problem at our house, which I assumed was roots or blockage due to the age of the sewer line and the time of year.

Originally I contacted Jim Dandy because they did a repair job when we bought the house and their card was in the "junk drawer". That should have been an omen...

In any case, they said we needed to replace the entire sewer line ($13k), as did Beacon($9.4k), so I decided I needed to get an opinion from a yelp super-star. I called up Metropolitan Sewer, who made a same-day appointment to give us an estimate.

They didn't show! Not even a phone call. The next day I called them around noon, trying to figure out what was wrong and after some confusing time on the phone, they said they would send another guy out to look at the line.

Upon arrival, I told him there was a video of the line on youtube, so he decided not to video the line himself, and then I showed him the flags where the curves and down-spouts were, along with depths. He quoted me $15,000 for the main sewer repair/replacement and another $5-6000 to fix Jim Dandy's botch job from the previous "repair".

He then said they could line the whole thing, but they would have to dig several other holes and it would cost 2-3000 per hole! (We are up to about $26k at this point) All-in-all, he was gone in under 10 min and has not returned any emails inquiring about an official estimate, nor did I receive an official estimate on-site, snail mail, or email. My initial reaction when he showed up was good, as he was the ONLY sewer service company who has shown up with a proper sewer line diagram for the house from the city.

To say the least, I was very hopeful to work with them. I'm not sure if they are just busy or if this is how they always do business, but they seem to be dropping the ball from the get-go.

It's been almost 2 weeks now without a word. *shrug* I had a section of my side sewer replaced in 2016 by Metropolitan for a very reasonable rate.

A year and a half later I was starting to have issues with it. I called Parnell who agreed to come out and have a look at it.

After some discussion he agreed to excavate and inspect/modify the work they had done. This was done at no additional charge even though technically it was out of warranty.

In my opinion, this is what professionalism is all about. A first-class operation in my book! Ultimately, I did need to do the large repair and Metro Sewer did it quickly and at a much lower cost than originally expected! I recommend them any chance I get.

I thought I had a problem with my 100 year-old sewer. Another company was hydro-jetting the slow-to-empty storm drain, and forced raw sewage into my basement.

They charged me $2k, were freaked out, said that I had a big problem, and wanted to dig out a side sewer clean-out and replace the pipe. I asked Parnell to give me a second opinion, and he scoped my whole system, and found no blockages.

He saved me a lot of worry and cost, and I was able to get a partial refund. And, he didn't charge me a penny.

I was so relieved! We had a major job, we knew it would be expensive. We had several bids, and we chose Metropolitan.

I honestly can tell you their experience, work ethic, and value are beyond compare. We got their number from friends that are real estate agents and contractors and they would not even recommend any other company.

We had Patrick and Scott work on the sewer but honestly the company is run so well that you cannot go wrong. Darnell bid the job he might be the owner, very honest and professional.

I will never need them again in this house, it is good to go for another 50 years, but if you need to have your sewer repaired, you will not go wrong with this company. Great company, great service, great value! Our main line backed-up into the basement, we had to call an emergency plumber to get water to start flowing again.

Turns out, there was a break in the main line, about 4ft out from our house. The emergency plumber quoted us over $4000 to fix the break! I called a couple more companies when I came across Metropolitan Sewer, they were quick to come out and give us a quote (in fact, they were a little early for their schedule time slot), very friendly and definitely knew what they were talking about.

Their quote was less than half the quote from the other guys! I was especially concerned because the break was very close to our Japanese Maple tree and I really did not want the tree to get hurt. The other companies (including the original plumbers) did not seem to care about the tree.

I was about ready to dig it up myself! Metropolitan Sewer was very understanding about the tree and said they would work around it. Metropolitan Sewer did a great job! You can hardly tell they dug a huge hole in our front yard, the ground looked so undisturbed! I will always recommend these guys to our friends, family and neighbors now! I was having trouble with one of the large plumbing companies in the area attempting to charge an excessive amount for a sewer repair and called Metropolitan based on a referral.

Parnell came out within a couple of hours and gave me a very reasonable quote. His team showed up early the next morning and had the repair complete in less than an hour.

The permit was secured and the inspector indicated a job well done. Problem solved for less than half what the large company was trying to charge! On a recommendation, we called Metropolitan to come out and hopefully fix our clogged/slow draining side sewer.

I called and they were able to schedule someone to come out the next morning, which was great. Our personable technician, Nick, showed up on time and provided helpful commentary as he expertly scoped our sewer.

Turns out we have a lot of gravel and rocks down there - no wonder repeated snaking never worked! He recommended we have the pipe jetted - equipment unfortunately Metropolitan doesn't possess (which is why one star taken off). Nick also outlined the possible problems our 75-year-old concrete pipe might experience and recommended a plan of action, including followup with them to make sure our problem is solved.

Nick spray painted the two major trouble spots he'd encountered and left us a copy of the video, which should be helpful for getting further estimates for the jetting. Although I wish Metropolitan had been able to do the entire job, I think the video is the best $200 we've spent so far on our problem.

I had a sewer scan done when I was buying my 1940s Ballard house, so I knew I should have that side sewer replaced soon after moving in. I contacted 4 companies for estimates.

The quickest to respond was Parnell at Metropolitan Sewer. He sent me a PDF of the estimate the same day I made the request.

I found out later that much of the information regarding my sewer (maps detailing where it comes out of the house, goes out to the street, the lengths and the depths) is available on line from King County. For the other companies I had to set up times to meet people for estimates.

One of the other companies was going to bring some kind of digging machine and said we'd need set aside parking on the street, etc.. Also, as the sewer came out of the back of the house, one of the holes that needed to be dug was under my deck.

One guy said I would have to hire carpenters to remove sections of my deck before digging, and another guy said they would remove and replace portions of the deck themselves. Parnell at Metropolitan said that they use shovels not machines, and could get under the deck and dig and get it done without messing with my deck at all.

So with the quickest, simplest estimate and the easiest solution I went with Metropolitan. Metropolitan was fast and clean, and 3 days later the job was done.

Upon completion Parnell said I should let him know if the ground sunk where the holes had been dug, and if so, they'd come out fill in those spots. At the time I was not concerned, but after a stretch of a lot of rain I did find that the ground indeed did sink down where those holes were dug.

I got in touch with Parnell, and sure enough, Metropolitan came back out and filled in those areas. I highly recommend Parnell and Metropolitan Sewer for your side sewer replacement project.

My insurance company sent their plumber to check out my toilet, which was backing up. That plumber said the sewer line needed to be re-dug and that the work wouldn't be covered by my insurance but that he could do it for $9k.

I said no and called Metropolitan. Parnell answered the phone and came out in an hour to view the situation.

He said he could get one of his guys to try clearing the sewer line out with blades. He said if it didn't work, they wouldn't charge us.

He guessed that Metropolitan could do the work that the first plumber had described for approx $2.5k. Wow! A lot cheaper The next day Parnell and his guy both came by.

They had called ahead to let us know that the last job was taking more time which I really appreciated. They bladed the sewer and solved the problem in about 20 minutes and saved me a bucketload of money! They were professional, helpful, communicative, tidy and clean.

I am a real estate agent and I use Metropolitan Sewer frequently for bids as well as refer them to my customers for sewer work. They consistently come in lower than the competition and their service and response time is far superior.

My problem was water leeching through my foundation into my basement after heavy rains. I went through almost two years of short lived "solutions" that didn't stick before realizing my 90 year old side sewer pipes needed to be completely replaced.

The need was greatest adjacent to my house but I elected to install new pipe all the way to the city main. THE GOOD: I was surprised with the variety of costs and solutions I was offered.

Metropolitan seemed to visualize the reality of the problem most accurately - always the best place to begin - and propose the most efficient solution. They also had the best price, though not by a large margin over the closest competitor.

The exact job solution specs were not the same among any of the 4 bids I received; each was different and to a degree that surprised me. It was Metropolitan's combination of problem assessment, efficient solution and price that caused me to hire them.

THE BAD: Metropolitan Sewer does suffer from a bit of "Contractors Disease" which means to me: Get in, get paid and get out as fast as possible. The last 5% of the job may never get done.

My sidewalk was necessarily excavated and closed to foot traffic and Metropolitan has yet to come back to "reopen" it for use. I moved their "sidewalk closed" signs and orange cones, etc.

onto my grass where they still sit. The forms around their concrete sidewalk work are still in place.

It has now been two weeks as I write. 10/8/13: After posting this review the "sidewalk closed" materials disappeared from my lawn but no repairs have been made to the portion of my landscape border they threw away nor have I been contacted by them.

I am now beginning the process of trying to get them to come back and repair their damage. I took a bucket and filled it with rocks and concrete chunks to get them out of the lawn so I could mow the grass.

A section of granite "bricks" and rubber border between my lawn and landscaping was removed in the excavation process. The granite "bricks" and rubber border were thrown away and not replaced.

Parnell told me over the phone he "would take care of all that" but it has been two weeks and no word. The grass itself looks like a broken up grass profile of the Hunchback of Notre Dame - after he jumped from the bell tower.

Jason and Parnell are the two owners, I believe. I met Jason briefly on site once, where he first eyeballed the job.

He later explained to me how I could upload existing video to YouTube where he could examine it. The bid came by email after he examined my video.

I've spoken to both of them by phone several times but never saw Jason again and have never seen Parnell. I don't know if either came to the site again.

I'm not sure how much of what is discussed on the phone with either of them makes it into the brains of the guys who are actually doing the work. However, I would hire them again but be slower to pay, and only after EVERYTHING was done to my satisfaction.

They were recommended to me. We made an appt for them to come out.

Showed up on motorcycles on the wrong day. Tried again and they never showed up.

Maybe they are doing better now? These guys are GREAT. I had an issue where my toilet wasn't flushing and water was coming up through my bathtub drain.

I called a plumber and described the issue, but he told me I needed to call a sewer company. I found Metropolitan Sewer Service on Yelp with good reviews and gave them a call.

They came out (Jason and another person), spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out the problem, only to find out it was a plumbing issue with the pump. They referred me to a good plumber and told me they wouldn't charge me for the visit since they didn't fix anything.

Other companies I called include a $50 fee just for coming out to the house, plus a rate for each quarter-hour of time they spend. Metropolitan Sewer charges for the work they actually do, and not the length of time it takes them.

If I ever do have a sewer problem, I will definitely call these guys!! Metropolitan Sewer come highly recommended for sewer/pipe/flood issues. They correctly diagnosed the problem, knew how to solve it, worked with us while we worked with the city council on the issue providing reports and advice.

They are reasonably priced and very reliable and helpful. Problem diagnosed, solved and remedied so we never have to suffer the flooding of our home with city sewage and storm water ever again! I don't want to tarnish their work reputation, they may be very good at what they do.

I didn't hire them. They've been working across the street from my house for several weeks on a sewer job and the workers are extremely loud and raucous; lots of yelling and laughing and kind of crude stories that I can hear even through my closed door/windows.

They also leave a lot of mud and dirt behind on the sidewalks for me to wash off. I know I sound like the crabby lady down the street--and maybe I am? But I just think if a large crew of workers are going to be in a neighborhood for an extended period of time they should be more aware of the neighbors, and also clean up better when they leave for the day.

End of cranky complaint. I manage property and have used Metropolitan several times.

The last was two days ago and once again I have a job that was done quickly, correctly and affordably. The best part of it was that tenants called on a Sunday night that they had sewage in the basement.

Just when I gave up all hope that honest businesses DO exist out there, I found Metropolitan Sewer. Dennis came out with really short notice, and gave me an HONEST appraisal about what was going on - Some other plumber/sewer service could really have stuck it to us.

We have not had work done yet, but just could not wait to give a shout out here, and a well deserved 5-star rating for service! This company came highly recommended from several friends and neighbors. They replaced our collapsed sewer ilne within 3 days and cleaned up our yard so it looked better than when they started.

The crew that came were incredibly nice, polite and good at what they do. I highly recommend you call them if you are having trouble with your sewer.

I am a real estate agent and will recommend them to all my clients wihout hesitation. They came out to do a sewer video inspection.

They did a good job with the inspection but refused to make a video recording of it. Since then I learned that is wrong.

Don't ever pay for an inspection if the outfit won't make and give you a recording of it. What, are you going to pay for a video inspection each time someone comes to give you an estimate? These guys have done two jobs for us including replacing our main sewer line from the sidewalk out to the city main.

I knew nothing about sewer's when I started this process and I know more than I want to know now. I got three estimates for the main sewer line replacement and the one from Met was the clearest.

It included the permits, all materials, the street repair and labor...because of this, at first glance the other two companies appeared to have lower estimates but after making them update their estimates to include all the components, all three came in within $250 of each other. The only thing Metropolitan's estimate didn't say was what would happen if pipe bursting failed so I asked them and they told me (in writing) that they would cover the difference in cost if they had to do a traditional trench repair.

They showed up on time, did what they said they were going to do and there were no extra, surprise costs. The bill was exactly what the estimate had said.

I asked them to send me a copy of the city inspection and they did. I would highly recommend this company.

I own a home in Seattle and my 4" conc. side sewer pipe cracked/broke due to age.

The break was on City of Seattle right of way, under the City sidewalk, just outside my property boundary. Sewer repair work on City of Seattle property must be done by a registered side sewer contractor (http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/rssc/).

They were careful not to remove any more sidewalk than needed to get to the broken pipe. Within two days they had finished the repair, had passed City inspections and backfilled.

Within 5 days (had to wait a couple days due to weather) the new section of sidewalk was poured. I requested use of gravel backfill under the retaining wall to prevent future settlement and they went and got some gravel and spent extra effort placing and compacting the gravel to address my concern.

A refrigerator repair person came out and told me that this was something he wasn't qualified to deal with since it was a plumbing problem. I contacted Paris Plumbing and they sent out a repair person who saw that the valve's bolt was loose.

He tightened it with a channel lock pliers. It took abourt 7 minutes.

$285. And, he told me that he wasn't actually charging me for any service, that was just the fee to come out and take a look.

No one at Paris Plumbing ever told me what their basic charge was, by the way. Of course I'm kicking myself for not having dealt with it myself.

Never the less, to charge that much money just to take a look at the problem takes a certain amount of nerve. Don't use these people.

They really don't deserve the business. This company has been sold.

They are no longer reliable or provide good service ... avoid them.

Did not accurately diagnose the issues, did not complete the work or respond when questioned in writing ... Expensive and incompetent RUN AWAY my garbage disposal stopped working and I needed it fixed quickly.

Tyler was incredibly helpful in solving the problem and getting the disposal fixed fast. He is knowledgeable, efficient and professional.

I will only hire Paris plumbing going forward!! I know many folks have given Paris Plumbing pretty good reviews, but I suspect many have not had to deal with follow-up issues where the quality of the original work was not very good. A few important things you should know about these guys.

First off, they charge a minimum flat fee per visit of $200 (which is essentially their hourly rate). So even if you need them to unclog a toilet which would probably take them 5 minutes, it's going to cost you $200 minimum (as of 2022).

Here's the other problem with Paris - they don't stand behind their work. Essentially, you have only 30 days.

If something they worked on fails. After 30 days, you're screwed and will have to pay them at least another $200.

Now to our work. Paris came out last year to fix a few issues with our shower controller.

First, the handle was extremely difficult to shutoff without water dripping. Second, the temperature value failed so hot water was no longer consistent.

They sent Tim (a family member) out to do the work. Tim was able to fix the issue of handle turning off water, however, he needed to order a new part for the temperature controller.

This first visit lasted about 30-45min and invoiced roughly $200. Once the new part came in, Tim came back to install it, which took less than 10 minutes.

Ding - another $200 invoice. We probably should not have been billed the full amount for a minor follow up.

After about 6 months, the handle became difficult to shutoff again. I contacted Tim about fixing this issue as it obviously was not done adequately the first time.

Tim indicated that he hurt himself and was not working at the moment, but would get back when he was better. Well, he never got back to me.

I had to contact Paris again this summer and they indicated Tim no longer worked there but would send someone else out. This person Gene came out and cleaned out the part and applied some lubrication (another quick visit).

Then they charged me a 3rd time for working on my shower controller. They said they only guarantee their work for 30 days.

So I'm out over $600 for easy plumbing work that probably a handyman would have charged less than $100. Do NOT use Paris Plumbing unless you like to get ripped off from a company that does not stand behind their work.

BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE! I hired these guys on April 7th to fix a backed up pipe on my rental property. The guy called me the issue has been fixed, but it wasn't.

I called them right next day, and they came out again and said the issue was fixed on April 11th. However, the sewer was still backed up.

I ended up calling another plumbing company in a week, and they resolved the issue completely. Now, they sent me 2 invoices for both visits, total of ~$300.

I protested and said I won't be paying for service I did not get, but they stopped communicating over email , and threw my information to colleciton company. Worst service provider I had in my life.

Great experience! Paris Plumbing and Ward were recommended to us by our neighbor. We got 2 estimates and Paris Plumbing was priced very reasonably in comparison to the other company.

We had a water leak and weren't able to live in our house but Paris did an estimate and within a couple weeks they were out at our house. They finished the job within four days and everything went super smooth.

Our contractor thought they did an excellent job and they even brought in our yard waste bin after it was picked up since they knew we weren't staying at our house without us asking. Really appreciate them getting things done so quickly! I can't believe I didn't post a review earlier..

I guess I was just a bit too distracted in the moment. I'm doing it now honestly for my own benefit: I want to be able to find this and remember who to call next time! OK, so do y'all remember snowpocalypse in Feb 2019? Well my garden spigot burst due to freezing and I came home from a trip to Sequim with water just GUSHING out all around the side of the house and unfortunately down under my foundation into my basement.

NOT ONLY did Lee from Paris Plumbing agree to brave the roads and come help us out (which no other plumbing company would do due to the ice!) but the charge was honestly SO reasonable--I definitely expected hundreds in emergency fees, driving in dangerous conditions fees, etc.. nope, just a small fee for his time and the new spigot.

But on top of that.. recently (almost a year later!) I needed details about what happened from them to give to my insurance, and Stephanie (their office manager, I believe) was super nice and more than willing to find out who had helped me out and ask them if they remembered me and (because Lee did, yay!) send the relevant information over to me to forward to my insurance.

Anyway, all to say I'll definitely work with them again, and I'm sad I didn't post this earlier but trying to make up for lost time now. I called and a family member called....LAST WEEK and still response.

Communication is an insight on how one works. We live in a condo building downtown where Paris regularly does work in several units and the common areas.

We had a small problem that required a shut off valve to be added to a faucet in one of our bathrooms. Paris told us they could do it without the $175 minimum fee if we scheduled a time they would otherwise be in the building for other work.

They were here for less than 5 minutes and proceeded to charge us the full $175 minimum labor. When I called to explain that we'd been told we would not be charged, Stephanie said we received "wrong information".

While this information came from a Paris employee, she did not care. I would not do business with them again given this utter lack of customer service and integrity.

I've had these guys out a couple times for clogged drains and such small jobs. They're very reasonable and down to earth! We had a very mixed experience.

They were prompt, friendly and ultimately did a good job of what they did do. They were capable and made good recommendations on how to optimize my space to facilitate future plans for the bathroom and kitchen., They got me into their schedule at the perfect times to facilitate blending with the timing needs of the other contractors.

But they were a little sloppy in some areas: They estimated 2 days but it took one, but they didn't charge me any less than the original estimate. They didn't listen to requests/instructions of placement of pipes mentioned in the estimate session and the beginning of the single day of work that would have permitted our original plan.

The crooked placement of pipes meant that our medicine cabinet could not be centered in the wall. The same bad pipe placement kept us from creating a substantial cut out in the wall that would have allowed sunlight into part of the room that had none.

Our original contract did not include installation of trim of fixtures. Nor was any mention made that they would do that work.

But they left the pipes in such an extended "condition" - jutting out 3x the required length - that they were in the way of the other contractors working in the space. Perhaps that latter lack of consideration is normal for this industry, but I did not find that with any other contractor I've worked with on this extended project.

It was quite a surprise and a disappointment considering how thoughtful they had been in the other arenas. I would still recommend them but be sure to be very, very clear.

And oversee what they are doing at interim stages before certain results are irretrievably done. We a great experience with Paris Plumbing! They were recommended to us when we called another plumber that couldn't do the job we needed.

Stephanie was friendly and helpful and arranged for Jim to come out and give us a free quote for the job. Jim arrived on time and was able to give us a quote in just a few minutes.

We set up the appointment with Stephanie for about a week later. The young man that came out was right on time and was courteous and professional.

He finished the job quickly and correctly, and even fixed a leaking tube unrelated to this and that we had no idea about. We received our invoice a week later and it came in under our quote! Considering this is the first plumber we've needed in our new home, I'd say we found a winner! (Hey Paris- I should have gotten a picture of your cool truck with your silly font so I could be the first one to give you a picture....

) The phone appointment setter was polite and easy to talk to. She even called me to let me know the plumber was running about 20 minutes late.

The sinks were unclogged and draining in minutes and they even checked to see if my sump pump was working. The price was comparable to what I've paid other plumbers.

Gene - the plumber- did a great job ( and he also has super neat handwriting that was legible!!! for me to give my landlord. ) Paris Plumbing was recommended to me by my neighbor.

We've used them since we bought our home about 5 years ago. I've never had a problem with their work until recently - and you better pray you don't have a problem when Paris Plumbing works on your house.

It looks like there are some common problems we shared with other Yelp reviewers: - Everything is fine as long as they don't have any issues. - Customer service is dreadful and they do not budge even when they are at fault.

- Jennifer the receptionist was disrespectful and hung up on me, too. - They are inexplicably slow.

- They do not have the right tools to do their jobs. We had a simple job that should have been very straightforward.

They were unable to complete it because they did not have the equipment and arrived at our house nonetheless after their estimate and charged us almost the entire quote price despite doing half the work. They told us they would return to finish the work once they found the tool, but instead of calling us to schedule a second call, we received a bill straight away.

The bill is dated due the same day that it is printed, and they threatened to send me to collections when I called to find out why they didn't return to finish the job. That's when I was hung up on by Jennifer.

I spoke with Tim, the owner, but he had the same attitude. He offered no solutions and defended the disrespectful actions of his employees.

We'll be hiring another plumber, and our neighbor is following suit. Tim was wonderful.

Paris gave us a great estimate, prepared us for the call, finished the work in less then thirty minutes, cleaned up completely, removed all the trash, and gave us a great price. Much appreciated and the new faucet is working wonderfully.

Thank you Paris, Thank you Tim. Owner was terribly rude on a discrepancy on the time spent on the job.

I had asked my sister who kept accurate time on the job as I had asked her to and when confronted, he was accusatory and so offensive. I would not trust them for future work.

Paris Plumbing has been working with us for years. They figured out a toilet clog problem, cleared shower clogs, installed a new sink, even worked on the pump in our crawl space.

All the plumbers there are sweet nice guys. The one drawback is they are costly.

But I highly recommend if you want a job done well. We needed a plumber.

No big deal, just a leaky faucet, but I was worried. Why would anyone want to help me with a small plumbing issue when there are so many people out there with gushing pipes and leaking sewage? As it turned out, a few plumbers either didn't ring me back or returned my call hours after I was hoping to schedule an appointment.

Paris Plumbing was the only company to answer my call when I placed it. The office employee was pleasant, professional, and booked an appointment to fix my leak.

The plumber showed up--on time--and quoted me a price that agreed with the amount printed on the statement I later received in the mail. The leak is history.

OK, so I saved the best part for last. I couldn't find any postage stamps in the house, so stopped by the Paris Plumbing office in person to deliver my payment.

I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by three big, tail-wagging, uber-friendly dogs. Arf! I'd rather not have future plumbing issues, but if or when I do, I'm glad Paris Plumbing is around.

My outdoor faucet in the front yard wasn't working at all. Called Paris Plumbing this morning, they were out by 1:45pm (15 minutes early).

By 2:30, I had a working faucet. The guy that came out (Jesse) was very friendly and helpful.

At the end of it all, I had to pay a reasonable flat fee (that would have gone to labor had it taken over an hour). I'll definitely come back to Paris Plumbing in the future.

Hopefully not too soon. Also, the local number listed here and on their web page (http://www.parisplumbinginc.com/) didn't work.

I had to call their toll free number: 1-877-727-4702 Called for estimate. Had to cancel.

They said no problem, then charged me $130 for 1 minute. Unreasonable.

Look elsewhere. We are building a new ADU in our backyard and Paris plumbing was recommended by our realtor for a bid on hooking a new sewer drain line to our existing sewer line.

NO big deal, right? Wrong. Tim came out to bid and seemed friendly...

but that was the last I ever heard from him... SO RUDE.

After several emails to him and without a response for 2 weeks, I called the office and talked with Stephanie. She said the email address I gave her was correct but he "doesn't read his emails".

She instructed me to send the ADU plans to her email and she would make sure he or she would get back to me. WRONG.

After a couple emails and a couple weeks of waiting for her, I called the office and reached the owner. She seemed concerned with the unprofessionalism of her staff and assured me she would get to the problem and get back with an immediate response.

That was 10 days ago and I have not heard a peep... SO RUDE.

This company seems to be full of unprofessional people from top to bottom. I suggest you go to another plumber if you want ANY sense of urgency from a plumber.

I called three other plumbers who all had bids to me within a week. My experience with Paris plumbing defies everything I know about working with contractors.

They have been prompt, helpful, kind, quick, and thorough. I've only had a couple day wait on three different appointments, where most good contractors are 1-2 weeks.

They got my new hot water heater in quickly without a complaint about the fact that it's on the third floor of this townhouse. They were in and out in 30 minutes for a few small fixes (caused by other work).

I would highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. And family owned too! Spot On! Tim arrived on time to fix a pipe in our crawl space.

He was friendly and efficient. When I called to make an appointment, Stephanie was kind and gave useful information based on a couple pictures I emailed.

I received a quote from a different plumber for $700, Tim said he would have quoted $350 and it ended up costing $198. I manage a condo in Ballard and have used Paris numerous times and have recommended they to owners.

They have always been reliable, knowledgeable and are considerably less expensive than most others. The only minor complaint I could have is that they are usually pretty busy.

If it's an emergency you probably should try elsewhere. If you have a project you can plan for about a week out they are the best! Paris Plumbing did a fine job on our residential plumbing repair.

Their office was very helpful in setting up the appointment. Then, on the chosen day, the technician appeared promptly and fixed the problem.

We'll use them again! Tim Paris just came out and fixed three small plumbing issues that we have been having: two leaky faucets and a shower head that wasn't working correctly.. He is friendly and personable.

(and dog friendly - I suppose that is if your dog is friendly) He fixed all three things within an hour. I would use his services again in the future.

We had 3 small, non-urgent projects. Made an appointment a week in advance.

Verified the time of arrival a day before. The plumber (Lee) arrived right on time.

We reviewed the projects and he got right to work. Had everything handled very efficiently within 45 minutes.

Courteous, friendly, helpful with a few questions I asked. I would HIGHLY recommend them again.

Full disclosure, I am in construction. I need to replace my water heater and used Yelp to get 3 bids.

Paris was very freindly in setting up my appointment the next day. They came out and said I would recieve my estimate via email.

After 24 hours I called and inquired about the estiamte. Someone called me back and said they were trying to find a part still.

2 others gave me a number and did not struggle with parts. I called back, thanked them for their time and told them I went with someone else.

Paris Plumbing was recommended to us by another plumber who was not a good fit for the work we needed done. We have an older house and needed a bathroom sink and toilet replaced that were from the 1940s/50s, plus a new faucet and garbage disposal installed to the kitchen, a new bathroom vanity/sink install in the basement bathroom, and a bathtub drain snake.

They were fine with us sourcing some of the items ourselves to save costs (sink, two faucets, vanity/sink unit). Paris Plumbing provided the toilet and disposal.

Tim Paris was prompt, cheerful, informative, and did a great job. It was a pleasure having him in our home, and from now on they will be the first plumbers we call! Worst plumbing experience ever.

Plumber was asked to fix leak, and ended up going to Home Depot, bought some cheap patching compound which didn't work, and then sent an invoice for over $300. When I called to ask them to send someone else out to fix it, person on the phone suggested I call someone else if I wasn't happy with their work.

This company is excellent. My water line froze and the pipes burst and their tech, Glenn (i believe), fixed the problem professionally and promptly.

Their response time was same day for both calls that I made. They even chose not to apply weekend service rates due to the fact that we had called them out once, and they were unable to fix the problem due to the fact that our water meter was frozen, and it was city property that they were unable to work on.

I have dealt with service vendors quite often, as I used to manage apartments, and the level of service was top notch compared to other companies that I have dealt with. The owner also personally handles dispatch, which is a big plus.

Five stars. Again, Paris Plumbing came to our rescue.

However, in this case, out of a bit of annoyance, I felt compelled to share. I have read all these great reviews for Paris Plumbing from Yelp.

I was eager for them to finally do some work for me. I was all prepared to write a fabulous review for the fabulous job that I am sure they would have done.

Yes, they are professional in taking calls, promptly answering questions, showing up for estimates and bids, etc., etc. For all that I give them .....

5 stars. But (long pause and deep sigh) when it was time to schedule and determine the scope of work, they stated they could not schedule my job and wished me luck in finding another plumber.

It just ended there. In my confusion and befuddlement I quickly emailed back "why?" A short while later, the answer came.

It was due to a big project they had so they were not taking on further work at this time. I guess the scope of my plumbing job was too small.

So I subtracted 3 stars cause they won't come out to do the great job I am sure they would have done on my plumbing project. I left 2 stars for great communication and for pleasantly informing me they won't be taking further work.

We have used Paris Plumbing now for several jobs. They are a family run business and they are very responsive.

We have had both Jesse and Victor respond to our calls. They were both very professional and were very efficient in identifying the issues and correcting the problem.

We highly recommend them and will definitely use their service in the future. I have had two clients now that have been unhappy with this company.

I am sure they are fine as long as everything runs smooth, but if not; watch out. First client called them to fix a plumbing issue prior to selling their house.

The client told me the lady on the phone was very rude. When the guy came out to fix the issue I mentioned that to him as he said he was the Owner.

He made an excuse about how she may have had a bad day. I'm sorry, but who gets to be rude to people just because you have a bad day.

I just closed on another home; Seller had work done on a vacant home, buyer moves in and immediately had issues with a leaking shower (which Paris worked on). I phoned them today and spoke with Michelle.

She said that it was no longer under warranty (their warranty is only 30 days even on a vacant home), but they would need to come out and look at it to determine what the issue was. Her tone was very condescending (a co-worker was right next to me and couldn't believe what a rude attitude she had).

I asked for the manager and was transferred to Jennifer. I admit that I was a little frustrated, but Jennifer was worse than Michelle.

She reiterated that they would need to come out to look at the situation, but also said that it was no longer under warranty. I asked her to clarify their policy aside from this for future (as I run into plumbing issues all the time with clients).

She told me that she didn't need to go back and forth with me, and I told her that I just wanted to understand their policy, she told me she didn't need to go back and forth, so I asked for the Owner. She said "Listen lady," and I told her "My name isn't lady." at which point she hung up on me.

I have been in customer service for decades and have never hung up on a customer. I will never refer them to a client again.

I love these guys. We've had them out twice.

Both times they were on time, friendly, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Calling plumbers out is usually a scary experience, but not for us anymore.

We have major bathroom renovations planned and know who we'll call. Oh, and they love dogs and were patient with my barky dogs and inquisitive cats.

I used Paris Plumbing to install a pitcher rinser in our cafe. Their technician was out fast scheduling was easy.

He did a great job, quality work efficient, and the price was very affordable. I worked with Jennifer in the scheduling office and she was extremely friendly and wonderful to work with.

I will definitely be using Paris Plumbing again on future projects. I was having trouble with my toilet and wasn't sure if it could be fixed.

TIM came from Paris Plumbing. He was very nice, polite and respectful.

He was able to fix the toilet and it works like a charm! I appreciated the fact that he did not try to sell me a new toilet. He was on time, even a little early.

I highly recommend them. Once again, Paris Plumbing saved the day and saved our house from a potential water disaster ! We had a stubborn leak in our bath faucet.

When Paris came to fix it, they noticed that the faucet valve was ready to fail. By catching this problem and replacing the old faucet entirely (rather than just doing a quick-fix), Paris prevented a major water leak which may have caused $10,000 in damages from flooded floors, damaged drywall, etc.

In brief, use Paris Plumbing for all your plumbing jobs, both big and small ! I had called several companies about my disposal and many wanted to just come out and replace it without even giving me the option to look at it and potentially repair it. When I called Paris, they were booked for a few days but Michelle gave me some very helpful tips that allowed me to fix it myself.

I do not need a plumber this go around thanks to her advice but next time I do I will definitely call Paris Plumbing. Thanks! anytime we have a leak in our home or a broken pipe, I know who to call based on my experience with Tim at Paris Plumbing.

I know nothing about this stuff so I feel like I can trust Tim when he comes over to fix a leak or a broken pipe. He gets the job done quickly, with a great attitude, and does a good job communicating to me the process and what the options are.

I never feel like Tim is trying to sell me on additional items that I do not need. We've had him over the house before and he's been terrific to work with.

Friendly, always takes off his shoes in our house, easy to talk to, but most importantly, he's got a wealth of experience and training so he is excellent at what he does and furthermore, we trust him greatly. We recently had a broken sink faucet and Tim did a great job not only helping us with the fix but coming out last minute on a Friday to take care of us through the weekend until the new part arrived on Monday.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this guy except that the world needs more people like Tim. As long as he is employed by Paris Plumbing, I will continue to call Paris for any and all plumbing needs due to my wonderful, several experiences working with Tim.

After getting his help a couple of times, my wife and I consider him a friend. I love, love, love Paris Plumbing! I recently got new granite counters in my bathrooms and kitchen.

After I had the new counters installed I had to wait two days to have the faucets hooked-up. I had two different plumbers come out to take a look and give me a quote and it was clear that they were trying to rip me off since I'm a single woman.

The first quote was for $1,400 and the second quote was $1,200! Paris Plumbing saved the day! They are honest and hard working. They installed 4 faucets and hooked-up the garbage disposal all for $328!!! THANK YOU PARIS PLUMBING!!! Now I am off to all the Better Business Bureau to complain about the other two organizations.

Our old mid-century house needed all new plumbing. We took our neighbor's recommendation and used Paris Plumbing.

They were what every business should be. We were thrilled with them.

Ward and his two sons came to the job. They were the most polite, well-mannered, and thoughtful crew I've ever worked with.

Here's some details. 1.

Thorough, detailed work. No quick fixes; they spent extra time to ensure that the work they did would last for a long time and was well-thought out.

For example, when they replaced a kitchen drain pipe, they converted the old hole in the wall to an access pipe for future snaking, entirely on their own initiative. Another example: the pipes they put in they made sure worked around our heating ducts, and existing and future wiring.

My husband came home and looked at what they did and the first thing that came out of his mouth was " Wow, they really thought this out!" 2. Very reasonable costs, and even more reasonable considering what a great job they did.

I had 4 other companies come in for a quote - these guys were very price competitive. 3.

I have to say this again - Ward and his sons were the most thoughtful, considerate folks I've ever had come to work at my house. They were on time every time.

They explained everything to me, even with some of my very basic plumbing questions, thoughtfully and carefully. When they came to the kitchen and I was on the phone, they refrained from using loud equipment until I was done.

They put drop clothes everywhere, and cleaned up after themselves to the point that I couldn't tell plumbers had been to my house. So if you like working with a company that does a wonderful job at a great price, support a local family-run business, and on top of it all are some of the nicest folks you'd want to meet, call Paris Plumbing.

What a great company! I have used Paris Plumbing several times and they have always provided excellent service. They are fairly priced and are always reliable.

Others mentioned that they only had issues with them when there was a problem. My experience was quite the opposite.

On both jobs, there were small issues that cropped up after the job was done. When I called to let them know, they sent their team back out immediately, without complaint, and fixed everything they needed to.

Their team was pleasant on the phone and happy to help us solve the problem. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to anyone.

Paris Plumbing has installed a new water heater in my house, as well as repaired various plumbing problems in this old house (1920s) over the years for low prices on each job, but quality work as well. I agree with the other reviewers, this is really an excellent company.

They are professional, honest, punctual, cooperative, and skilled and ever transaction I have had with them has been top-notch. They have the feel of a small town company.

I had a very negative experience from this plumbing company. The plumber, Tim, overcharged me, did not give me an itemized bill, and charged me time for items he was unable to repair.

When I called back to ask for a more detailed bill as I wanted to know how much each item cost and why a sink leak ended up costing almost $300, he became very defensive, yelled at me over the phone, and cursed at me. I was shocked.

I have never ever been treated so poorly. He was a bully and lacked integrity.

I do not recommend using Paris Plumbing for any services. II usually use Button Plumbing and Heating, but they were booked out for a bit.

I wanted to get my outside faucets fixed, as I'd installed an outdoor irrigation system and was leaving town. I called Paris Plumbing, as they were recommended by my neighbors.

The first time Paris stopped by, they couldn't shut off the outside water at the curb due to a faulty valve. They did a little work, and I swallowed the hefty visit fee.

I really felt I needed the work done though, and had them out again after the water valve was fixed. They did a little more work, and told me they needed access to the inside of my house to replace a faucet.

They consequently didn't replace the faucet. Again...a little work and a hefty visit fee.

After it was all done, I expected to receive a bill and pay up. The bill never came, and I forgot about it.

Finally, I got an angry call from Paris asking why I hadn't paid. I told them I hadn't received a bill! They sent one, and I paid.

Later, I had a few minor issues I wanted examined: replacing the outside faucet as Paris had suggested, replacing a failed studer valve that stopped entry of noxious sewer smells into my basement, and evaluating plumbing for a dish washer. I had Button Plumbing and Heating out this time.

Jim looked at the outdoor faucet and said, "bring me a crescent wrench." He quickly tightened it and said: "You don't need a new faucet. As you use the faucet it will loosen up.

Just tighten it once in awhile if you notice it leaking." Jim then fiddled with the Studer valve and got it working. Finally, he took a look at the plumbing for the dishwasher and proclaimed it ready to accommodate a dishwasher.

I asked what I owed him. He said nothing.

I've used Jim now for over ten years. He's always given me quality, reasonably priced service, including installing a new water heater on a weekend at standard plumber's rates.

I've always regarded Jim highly, but my experience with Paris underscores what a gem Jim truly is. I may have been an easy score for Paris, but I won't stray again as long as Button Plumbing and Heating is in business.

Just a simple drain clog which 2 weeks later clogged again. A friend recommended Paris, who scheduled us nicely and fixed the drain while replacing a part that was totally bypassed by the other plumber.

I had ask them to fix a leak. There was a leak in a check valve between the water dispenser and another leak in a connection line between the water dispenser and water heater.

Instead they took my water heater and didn't repair any leak under the sink. I just wanted the leak fixed.

I talked to Victor and he agreed to come to fix the leak for free (that he was suppose to fix), but when I talked to Jennifer this morning, she wanted to charge me and she refused to negotiate and hung up on me. Wow.

I thought they had better business practices. The least they could have done is replace the check valve and they won't do it, because I have to replace the whole water heater? I just wanted the leak fixed.

I didn't need the water heater replaced because I was going to do that at a later date. I did not contract Paris Plumbing directly.

They came as a sub-contractor for my general contractor. My general contractor is a great guy so I trusted his judgment.

I have to say that they did a pretty good job at the installation. I supplied all the hardware because the quotes I received from them were 2-3 times higher than what I could get online.

Unfortunately, the shower handle kept on getting loose. When I called, they were very friendly and they suspected that the cartridge was defective.

They ordered replacement part and came as scheduled. The technician was also very polite and efficient.

The problem turned out to be the handle was put on too tight and the friction caused the top of the handle to loosen overtime - a very small problem. The technician did not need to replace the cartridge.

Since the installation was done four months ago, I expected that they cover this under the warranty. However, they sent me a bill of $120 and put a note saying that the hardware I supplied was defective.

Oh, well, I paid. The money is probably more important for them than for me.
