Review and analyze now for company Mill Creek Plumbing & Water Heaters and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Great customer service, quick response time. Fixed our leak quickly and cleanly! Thank you! I could give five stars, but I want to be reasonable, because nobody's perfect.
All the staff, especially Steve and Fred, are very personable and professional. I love that they call me back right away, and are almost always available, even in an emergency.
Though they tend to be slightly higher than other Plumbers, they make up for it in the other areas I mentioned. They do great work fixing my plumbing issues, no question about that.
However, moving my washer and dryer out and back in again caused a few dents and dings, but, like I said, nobody's perfect. ((I've had them out about four times.)) This plumbing company responded to my house was not an emergency I asked them to go under my house to look for a leak.
They pulled my toilet showed me the flange that was totally wasted when under my house told me I had a leak which I already knew replace the plumbing parts in both my toilets tried to tell me they were leaking. Charged me $90 for just coming out and then 373 an hour they were there for an hour and a half my bill came to 875.
Totally outrageous they also told me they would come back and give me a bid to fix my toilet. They ghosted me finally my insurance company called them they gave him a song and dance that they were sick.
2 weeks later still no answer very unprofessional also still no bathroom fixed. Fixed things in the toilet bowls that weren't broke.
Do not recommend them I needed to have a pressure regulator valve installed in my home. I called Mill Creek Plumbing for two reasons: 1) They are located very close to my house 2) how could you not go with a 5-star-rated company? Steve (owner) answered my call promptly, and dispatched his team (John and David) that morning (even though it wasn't a high-priority repair, he got them out within the hour!) I can tell you that John and David are worth their weight in gold.
They installed the PRV in an hour, and helped me with another issue that arose while they were here. If I owned a plumbing company, I would hire these two gentlemen in a heartbeat.
I got a very fair deal, one that was $400 less than the first quote I received! Thanks so much John and David for your help! Company answered phone on the try. Set up an appointment for the following day.
We little hot water and a house full. Fred Haggert was the technician that came to help.
He was so nice and explained everything clearly. My husband had actually turned the temperature down.......
Fred showed my husband how to do it correctly, very nicely. He would not charge for the call.
They have a customer for life! Nothing better than knowledgeable folks with awesome customer service. Seemed like a inexperienced.
Didn't solve my problem. All I needed was a cap on the outlet of the hot water tank.
In summary... excellent service.
Fred was very nice & answered all my questions when I called in regarding replacing a leaky bathroom sink shut off valve and was able to schedule an appointment for me very fast. Jon the Plumber arrived on time and he was courteous and professional.
He completed the replacement valve perfectly and efficiently. Thank you both for saving the day! I had a clogged sink on a weekend and waited to a weekday since it wasn't a big deal to wait.
I also didn't want to pay the after hours fee. Sunday I started to call.
I called Southwest. Not only were they booked out 2 weeks, the woman was extremely rude and hung up on me when I asked her a question about "so your kitchen sink guy is 2 weeks booked out but your toilet guy isn't?" I'd never call them - ever.
So I asked my neighbor. She referred me to Mill Creek Plumbing.
I called and left a message. They called me first thing at 730a and the owner came out at 830a.
2 hours later the clog was fixed. it was a deep clog, clearly from years ago (I've been here only 6 months) and he explained everything to me in detail.
It wasn't too expensive, but considering how quickly he came out, anyone else would have charged 2-3 times the amount. They work off referrals, so I'll tell you guys now -- These guys were amazing.
No mess, no fuss, no bs. In and out.
I was working while Steve was here and he did his work politely, knew what he was doing and that was it. FAST.
If you need efficient work, and by someone you can depend on, call these guys. I am a HUGE supporter of local businesses.
They're small, not a massive chain who will hang up on you with annoying commercials and adverts. They do what they say and say what they mean.
This is what you want. Every dollar you spend goes to honest, good, salt of the earth people.
Hardworking and well worth EVERY. SINGLE.
PENNY. You won't be sorry.
I'm so glad I contacted Mill Creek Plumbing to install the new faucets and P Traps in our remodeled bathrooms. The news was scary at first because, due to our new, fancy, under counter mounted sinks, the drains were now too high to drain properly.
They would need to be lowered for 2, possibly 3 sinks. We had not planned for that! John and Sam saved the day and only had to lower one of the 3 and that they did exceptionally well.
All the faucets and sinks work great and they saved us a bundle of $$ and worry. We're very happy with their work and highly recommend them! You have a new Mill Creek customer for life.
I had a leaky toilet, a clogged sink and a shower head that I obviously couldn't figure out. They were very honest about the toilet being old and put in w/ the place originally 20 years ago, so they could try and fix it for cheaper, but more than likely would be calling them out again for it, or gave me a great quote on a better toilet, they fixed my sink w/in a half hour and put my showers head on correctly w/out me knowing, so I didn't feel like an idiot!! I highly recommend these gentlemen, very kind and courteous.
Show up on time and aren't outrageously expensive. Had a difficult second floor bathroom leak that required fixing from basement...these guys did a great job! They were responsive, on-time, and fairly priced.
Absolutely recommend them. I've used Mill Creek Plumbing twice in the past year for my condo in Mill Creek.
They were easy to reach and schedule an appointment. They always were on time for the appointment.
They did only the job asked to do without trying to escalate the actual problem like other companies do. Their work was excellent at a reasonable cost.
Great company! Support local! As I'm writing this we are having a pandemic with a lot of businesses closed due to the stay at home order from the governor. Thank goodness plumbing is an "essential service"! Mill Creek Plumbing is also Covid-19 compliant! I discovered a very leaky highly defective Quest brand plastic water valve under the kitchen sink late in the day.
Steve and Mill Creek Plumbing came highly recommended (word of mouth) from our previous development. Steve was able to have Jon come out the next morning.
They are very reasonably priced. Jon worked very efficiently got everything back to order! Actually we replaced both kitchen and the ones in the downstairs powder room.
These defective plastic water valves are all through the house and highly recommend swapping them out to avoid bursting water valves. Thank you for a great job Steve (and Jon) looking forward to getting the rest of the house done when the scary pandemic is gone! I had Mill Creek Plumbing out about a week ago.
They were great because they explained what they were doing and solved my problem. When they left they cleaned up as well.
I would highly recommend them. We had a leak from the bottom of our refrigerator in a house we are getting ready to put on the market.
Our realtor recommended calling a plumber. Big mistake.
$196 for them to come and tell me I need to call an appliance repair person. They were in my house for approximately 5 minutes and charged $90 of labor.
I even showed them where the leak was coming from so not sure what I paid for. If it had been an emergency call, it would have been a minimum of $360 (their rate for an hour of labor) + the $90 service call, so thankful we were able to turn off the water supply and avoid an emergency visit.
My advice after this experience... if you have a leak tied to an appliance, call an appliance person first.
Then if it is a plumbing problem, you can at least get the appliance serviced by the appliance repair person, i.e. get something for your money.
In this particular instance, this should have been no more than a service call charge, i.e. $90, especially since I live in Mill Creek and am using Mill Creek Plumbing.
I gave 3 stars because I don't think they are bad plumbers, just wish they had asked a question or two to help determine whether I needed a plumber or an appliance person. I really appreciated that they wore masks and shoe covers in our home.
They were prompt, kind and did quality work. We will definitely hire them again.
Great experience! I have had the pleasure of using MCP twice now both times it has been great. My last need was a leaking hot water heater.
I was happy to have Steve pick up when I called as this was during the shelter period. He popped over in a hour, confirmed we needed a new HWH, secured the tank, quoted and came back the next morning to put the new one in.
During this crazy shelter time it was great to have fast, friendly and safe service. They came with n95 mask and sanitizer to insure my family's safety and theirs.
Thank you Mill Creek Plumbing. I liked that they showed up in a mask.
They are highly rated in Yelp. The 2 that showed up seemed a bit hurried, wrote up an estimate that did not contain enough details for us to consider.
They may be a 5 star company but I was. Not able to make a determination by what I saw.
3 star estimate I own an apartment building in Everett and over the past year or so I have required a couple of hot water heater replacements. I called around for pricing and availability and these guys were available to do the work and reasonably priced so I decided to give them a shot.
Glad I did. Steve (the owner I think) has always been very responsive, reasonably priced, friendly, and does good work.
Usually I'm a do-it-yourself guy, but when it comes to tenants needing something as important as hot water working, it's best to hire a pro. That's what I got by going with these folks.
I needed a failed pressure reduction valve replaced. Steve came in with the best bid and scheduled my appointment for the next day.
His crew was running late because of another job so Steve came and did the work himself. Everything needed was in his truck, no upsell, proficient and courteous.
I liked him and would definitely recommend his small local business~ We are so happy with the service provided by Mill Creek Plumbing. Our water heater was leaking, when we got up this morning.
I called Mill Creek Plumbing this morning around 9, Steve came out around 11, gave us a competitive quote. His team arrived several hours later, installed a new water heater and we had hot water by 4:30! Thanks for the wonderful service .
They were very quick to respond, arrived on time and resolved the issue in minutes. Great service.
We are so grateful for Steve and Mill Creek Plumbing!!!! We didn't know what was going on but we knew something was wrong and we needed to call a plumber. We were a little worried because my husband and I are both in the 'high risk' group for covid, but Steve could not have been nicer.
He came to our home by himself wearing all the proper protective gear, and very quickly found the problem, and it was a big one. We had a cracked pipe in our crawl space under the kitchen.
It was leaking water all over the crawl space, and there was a small lake down there. Steve came back the next day and not only fixed the leak but he also got the water out, and then treated the area.
We are so relieved and so impressed. We feel like Steve really went above and beyond what most plumbers would have, and wouldn't think of calling any other plumber in the future.
Thanks Steve!!! Mill Creek Plumbing came to my rescue and will be my plumber from now on. After my bathtub leaked down into my living room, Steve was willing to fit me into his schedule the very next day.
When I explained the issue over the phone, he told me what it might be (and he was right) and what it might cost (and he was right on). He told me exactly what he would do to fix it, which he did.
While he was here he diagnosed another issue in the same tub and fixed it at the same time. Quick and courteous! We used Mill Creek Plumbing for a water heater replacement and installation.
They showed up on time, and did the job in under 2 hours. Would recommend.
Had them come out before work to repair our shower valance. They were early to our schedule appointment, clean and done within about 30 minutes! I felt the price was fair and consistent with their phone quote.
I will absolutely be calling them again for future plumbing concerns. Even though they had a full day, they fit us in.
We had water all over! Really appreciate how they stayed late to fix our plumbing problem. The day after New Years we woke up to our water heater leaking and likely had been through the night.
We thought we were not going to be able to find anyone being the day after the holiday. We called Mill Creek Plumbing and they were able to see us in the late morning.
They were able to replace our water heater and got us back up and running by the early afternoon. Steve was very nice, responsive, and friendly.
He arrived at the exact time he said he would. No "4 hour window" like other companies.
He was priced competitively and worth every penny! Great service. Both the owner and his help were very responsive to my questions and professional when it came to the install.
They replaced a water heater for us in our town home the same week we called, for about what I expected to pay. I like supporting local contractors and was fortunate enough to find a professional group on the first try, will be a repeat customer if I have plumbing needs in the future.
With a leaking water heater, it was a matter of time until it would burst. I went to Costco thinking I'd get a better deal, but after running through the numbers, it's the same price and commercial grade products out in public even with the cash back discounts.
We called around and Mill Creek Plumbing stood out. They have great phone etiquette and their quote was equal the cost of the other plumbing companies.
Easy to talk to and was patient with my unending questions. On the same the day we called them, they came to our home, inspected the old water heater and exchanged it at no extra charge for same day service.
They were professional and the pricing package was up front with no add ons after quote. When the costs of replacement evens out with all the companies, it all boils down to service to the customer.
Mill Creek Plumbing is trustworthy, courteous, honest and the service was awesome. All the work was completed in about an hour.
Thanks John and Frank for your skillful installation and David for answering all my questions. These folks are awesome! I've used a couple different plumbers in the past but Mill Creek Plumbing always impresses me where others don't.
I've used Mill Creek plumbing twice (once to replace a PRV and once to replace a run of copper water line under the house) and each time they were courteous, able to schedule an appointment with me quickly, and their bid was very reasonable. I'm no plumber, but I rest assured that their work was done well.
If I need plumbing work done again in the future, Mill Creek Plumbing will be my first call. I like it when someone tells me how to fix a problem instead of coming out.
I had issues with my Mansfield toilets and called to have Steve come out. He told me how to fix the problem without him.
I definitely will call him next time. We have used Mill Creek Plumbing twice now and both times they have been kind, efficient, and knowledgeable.
They are honest and hard working. Highly recommend! These guys are great! I discovered my water heater spewing water into my garage the day before Thanksgiving.
Aside from the obvious problem, water dripping all over the place, we also had 30 people coming over the next day. Not great timing for a disaster.
Calling around, I found that plumbers were either resistant to taking on work, couldn't get parts in less than a week, or weren't available for 10+ days. Ridiculous! When I called Mill Creek Plumbing, I expected the same run around, and definitely expected at least a few day wait, with the holiday weekend.
I was pleasantly surprised! Michael answered the phone (wow, a real person answering!), and was very friendly and helpful. He arranged to have a guy come out the same day.
Shortly thereafter, I received a call from Michael, letting me know the tech would be out earlier than expected. I also received a call from the tech, Steve, also letting me know he'd be here earlier.
Communication! Nice! Steve arrived at my house on time, and shared some news with me. It turned out, I'd provided the wrong info on my water heater, because I'd read the wrong sticker.
I thought we had a 68 gallon heater, but it was only a 40 gallon heater. These guys thought ahead and brought both to be safe.
Not only was the job not delayed, but the price also dropped significantly. Also refreshing, was that the price the tech gave me was exactly the price I'd been quoted over the phone earlier, when asking about the cost of a smaller heater.
It turns out that the reason they were able to get out the same day, is that they moved a job or two that weren't emergency projects. They were able to PRIORITIZE, something most contractors are unwilling or incapable of doing.
Steve got right to work, and put up with me being a nosey customer, watching the work. He obviously knew what he was doing, and confirmed my decision not to attempt to do the work myself.
Being the day of disasters, I was also dealing with a sick dog, and ended up having to take it to the vet to have it put down. When I returned, Steve was just cleaning up.
The installation was complete. He'd even taken it upon himself to clear a clogged drain in our downstairs bathroom.
We had an excellent experience with Mill Creek Plumbing, and couldn't recommend them more highly! We appreciate them treating us like people, not inconveniences. We appreciate the honesty.
We appreciate that they showed up when they said they'd show up, and the communication that went along with it. Thanks guys! You've earned a customer for life.
I had to replace a washing machine, but the deliverymen weren't able to pull the hoses off the rusted water shutoffs, so I had to call a plumber. I live in Mill Creek, and haven't been too happy with some of the larger companies, so I thought about it for a couple days, and finally decided to give this small local firm a try.
Michael and Steve were out promptly on schedule, and took care of replacing our old washing machine shutoffs. I apologized for how hard it would be for them to shut off the water main (faucet was about 34 years old) and they confirmed a family friend's recommendation that since the water main shutoff was about done, we install the new kind that shuts off with a single effortless twist.
They did that, too. They noticed the old outdoor faucet just outside the garage door was dripping when they tested the water shutoff, and replaced that for nothing.
They said it didn' t take them long, but I sure appreciate that extra care. Then, as they were looking over the laundry water pipes just before leaving, one of them noticed a water discoloration on top of a lower pipe.
He cocked his head and looked perplexed. I didn't think it was any big deal, and there was no sign of what caused it.
He ran his hand along a pipe above the discoloration and discovered the upper pipe was damp. Further examination showed a tiny pinhole leak in the upper pipe.
One of those had blown a few feet further, inside a closet next to the washer, a couple of months earlier, so I was thrilled he noticed it. That, too, was quickly fixed.
Steve and Michael were attentive and detail-oriented. The owner is soft-spoken, professional but warm, knows his craft, and they're who we'll call whenever we need a plumber.
Mill Creek Plumbing: I needed to have all the exposed copper piping in the crawl space replaced, something done to get hot water to the faucets quicker (wasting too much water waiting), and one outside hose bib replaced. The owner of Mill Creek Plumbing--Steve--is one of those professionals you almost immediately get a good feeling about.
Note: The biggest problem for the plumbers, builders, electricians, etc., that show up to bid on a project, is that I know enough to be dangerous; in other words, I've seen too many episodes of 'This Old House.' Despite my 'knowledge', Steve was able to quickly disarm me and explain the repairs and upgrades as they should be done. What I appreciated is that he stated: "This is what I would do if it were my house." Normally, I like to get 3 bids on services that tend to be pricey, but the bid associated with the work to be done seemed quite reasonable, along with the fact that Mill Creek Plumbing had an opening within a week.
When all was said and done, all the old copper piping was replaced with PEX, a new hot water recirculating pump was installed and I had a hose bib that no longer leaked. All work was done in a neat and timely manner.
Steve and his crew are respectful and a delight to have around. For me, the mark of a real professional is not always the work that is performed, but how the service provider responds to any problems or callbacks.
Due to a couple of minor glitches, I needed to have Mill Creek Plumbing come back in to fix the problems and those issues were addressed immediately and with no questions asked. I even got a follow-up call afterward to make sure that everything was up to my expectations.
Five Star Rating!!! My wife had to call for a plumber last night as a sprinkler pipe broke near our water meter. As I could not get home for a while she called Mill Creek Plumbing and Michael came out to take a look.
The water district had already shut off the water to the house so Michael looked at the situation and decided the sprinkler system could be isolated and water to the house could be restored. He stated he would be back the next day to repair the sprinkler pipe.
We were grateful that we had water overnight. The next day Michael returned and repaired the system.
The total cost came to just over $515.00!!!! The cost broke down to: 1 1/2 hours of labor ($180.00 an hour for labor - ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?), some parts ($24.00 for a PVC fitting and 'misc supplies') two visits to our house at $90.00 a trip (total $180.00!!); our house is 2.7 miles from the business address - ridiculous!!! In fact I will call it what it is: PREDATORY! My wife was never given an estimate or an hourly rate. I work in public safety.
I help people in distress day and night. I have put my life on the line for others at times.
I WISH I made $180.00 an hour - I wish I made HALF of that!! I should have been a plumber. We recently had a leak in the main water line leading to our home.
Steve and his helper arrived on time and worked efficiently to get the job done. The price was reasonable too.
I will definitely contact him again next time I need a plumber. Our hot water heater went out two days ago.
We went to Sears and they gave us a very high quote and then said they could install it in 4 weeks!! Anyhow, I found this company while looking for hot water heaters on Amazon. I called them, left a message and within 10 minutes I received a call.
Michael said they would rearrange their schedule and could install a heater today for one fixed price - including the hot water heater, the new parts, the permit, everything - and they hauled away the old one. They arrived about Noon and left with job completed before 3:30pm today.
Awesome! Both Steve the owner and Michael who works with Steve were very pleasant, professional, and thorough with their work. And they cleaned up, too.
This is a locally owned business - you won't go wrong choosing this company. I used Mill Creek Plumbing today and I will never use them again.
I was quoted 45 min to replace a valve in my shower and trim and they tried to charge me 2 hrs. and over $450.00.
They only did maybe 1.5 hrs of work as they had well over 30 min in clean up and charged me to even write up the paper work. Yes I got charged in the 2 hrs of labor $45.00 to write up the work order.
I am not sure of the quality of work and if it is good and doesn't leak I will come back and give another star. But I will NEVER use Mill Creek Plumbing again nor will I refer them out to others when they ask me for a good plumber because Mill Creek Plumbing is not a good business.
I figured the est, might be low other plumbers said 60 to 75 min max since it had good access. This also ways a 2 man crew and it still took they say over 2hrs to do the work.
They said they were sorry but it is what it is. So I want to help make sure this doesn't happen to other customers and DO NOT USE Mill Creek Plumbing.
I a lot more work for them before I see how they work now I will go else where.'''.
