Expensively priced, plumber. Incomplete/faulty job and then won't back up the their work.

Zoltan is initially responsive, came out immediately to provide a quote. No price advantage.

He was as costly as major companies. ($1,100) But we wanted the job done right.

Or, so we thought. So we hired him.

The job he said 'would take an entire day'. He finished in less than 4 hours...but charged the same ($1,100).

Hmmm, a bit suspect, but we paid in-full anyway. And he left and saying if there any further problems, to call him.

Sure enough within 2 weeks, the same pipes began to leak again - actually this time, fairly aggressively. We called him immediately.

He was astonishingly belligerent, initially denying that anything he did was substandard (literally said, "After I fix this, I never want to hear from you again!" But then he calmed down and apologized for the outburst. Okay, that was seriously bizarre behavior.

But we just wanted this solved. He came out a second time.

This time he charged another $100. He said he used extra supplies.

Again suspect. But we just wanted this fixed and done with.

Now we have leaks again, precisely the same pipes. Within weeks of his work.

At this point we will need to have same work completely redone. $1,200 dollars completely wasted for leaky indoor, pipes.

Never would never call, or use him again. Neither should anyone.

Since he wanted cash for the job, he pressured my husband to go to get a generic faucet head 3. Said the quote was discounted if we wrote a positive Yelp review for him 4.

Called Sears and got a slightly cheaper quote (although that, too, had undisclosed fees which added an almost extra $300) 5. Quoted for an expansion tank which is not required where we live (but is for a neighboring jurisdiction) -- which added a part + labor 6.

Couldn't come back until five days later, and only if we notified him within a day Nothwithstanding the above, our service call did have some positive aspects. 1.

I sent a job request via Yelp, requesting unblocking our kitchen sink drain, and if time allowed, replacing the valves and drain pipe on a bathroom sink. They replied with an estimate for a drain unblock; the office had apparently misunderstood my written request.

It sounded expensive, but the sink wasn't going to unblock itself, and my attempts had failed. And my previous results with cheaper plumbers were, shall we say, mixed.

We set a date. When they arrived, they said that the proce quote was for a bathroom sink unblock; kitchen sinks were more.

I had a burst pipe and was charged $650 plus tax for a repair that took less than an hour and didn't require any special parts. This didn't include patching the hole the plumber cut in the wall to access the leak.

On the positive side, the repair appears very good and they came on short notice. If you have the option, shut off your main water valve and take some time to shop around.

I had my garbage disposal replaced, shower head replaced, and he figured out the noise coming from my water heater. From previous consultations with other companies, I was told my water heater needed replacement, but Arash actually took the time to figure out the issue and repair it.

I really appreciate that he tries to repair instead of forcing a replacement which would cost significantly more. It was a great experience and I am having him come back to replace my kitchen sink and faucet once the parts arrive.

I was asked a few questions about the problem (my shower faucet wouldn't turn off all the way) and was asked to text a couple of pictures. Arash called me back to say he could be at my house that afternoon.

He happened to have the part I needed (a single knob cartridge for a defunct manufacturer) and installed it. All went perfectly smoothly.

I couldn't have asked for a more efficient service. very quick to respond and seemed confident to get the job done.

Called about 10:30 am with a clogged kitchen sink ....Texted immediately asking if he (Arash) could call me back....then called about 10 minutes later....said he could have someone there in late afternoon....Shawn showed up about 2 hours later, put on booties, looked over situation and gave me an explanation and a price before he even started....after the go-ahead he carefully spread out a tarp to work from and proceeded to unclog drain with a power snake...went way down drain (maybe 25 feet) and cleared everything just like he said!! When our pipes froze, they were quick to respond, came over in the snow, and gave a free estimate. While their pricing was above our budget at the time, Arash was kind enough to advise us how to remedy our situation ourselves.

Before they came, we wasted 700 dollars on another plumbing provider who didn't open our pipe after snaking and suggested a hydro ejector costing 2700 dollars! We then got referral from our friends and called Arash. Arash and another crew( sorry I didn't catch his name) came and opened our main sewer line completely with just snake in 10 minute.

They are professional and experienced and even help us clean up the mess in your shower room. They saved us two thousand dollars and a lot of troubles.

I would highly recommend this service provider for your plumbing issues. We had a not that good experience with Ridgid plumbing unlike other reviews.

We had a hot/cold crossover problem in our house and decided to call them based on a referral from another vendor. Arash, who picked up the call, added us to the waitlist for the same day without mentioning a visit fee.

However, upon his arrival, he provided an assessment, doubting that the cartridge model we had was incorrect. He offered to fix it for $400 but couldn't guarantee the problem would be resolved, making it feel like a gamble.

We declined the offer but still had to pay the $140 visit fee. Sadly, the diagnostic he provided was incorrect, and the cartridge model was actually the right one.

The issue was caused by something else. Unlike other places like Ally plumbing, which offers free diagnostics, this experience felt like a waste of $140 without any useful solution from Ridgid plumbing.

I wish they had been upfront about the visit fee to avoid feeling disappointed with the outcome. The garbage disposal in our kitchen sink had suddenly stopped working.

We are new homeowners; when renting the management had always fixed problems so we have no idea about appliances. I called a few places; luckily these guys were able to come the same day to check it out.

Communication was prompt over phone and text. Reading other reviews I asked the cost upfront; Arash (owner, I think) texted me back saying there was no charge to evaluate.

"They came, they conquered, they left," so to speak. In 5 minutes.

Basically, the drum had come loose; they just tightened it and also showed my wife how to fix it if that happened again in the future. And they didn't charge us a cent! Can't believe how honest these guys were and true to their word.

We worked with Armin. He was very polite and efficient and did great work! So grateful that we found Rigid plumbing so quickly! We scheduled a service visit over the phone and text them address.

They provided a time frame between 3-6pm the same day; by 5pm since I didn't hear anything so I call to confirm they are still coming. The call went right to voicemail; leaved multiple voicemails between 5 and 7pm.

Called again the next day, still no response. This is the most unprofessional plumbing company I ever encountered.

Armin from Ridgid came out when we accidentally cut through our main water line while trenching (turns out 811 doesn't mark the connection from the meter to the house, the more you know!). He was able to get out pretty quickly, had the right parts, and put in a great fix.

Armin was also incredibly patient and explained exactly what he was doing, the materials he was using, and why they were the best choice for this type of repair. We were able to pay directly via Venmo at a small discount which was a nice surprise at the the end of a stressful day with the water shut off.

Ridgid was great to work with and we'll definitely be calling them again. Really appreciate the fact that they give free estimates and were able to do so within the same day.

Unfortunately my project and budget is too small that it would make more sense to hire a handyman for it. Will still consider them for other upcoming projects I used them for an inspection because there was a leak and we thought it might be the plumbing.

They cut out a section of the drywall and said it wasn't the plumbing. Their rate was $285/h.

Total for 2 hours and 15 minutes, they charged around 715.28 just for the inspection and cutting out the drywall. Definitely on the expensive side.

I do have to say they responded fast and were very nice. Edit: Updating this to 3 stars.

We ended up finding the leak ourselves and had another plumbing company come out and do the inspection...for free. Extremely skilled.

Would highly recommend! We were introduced to Ridgid Plumbing by the restoration company hired to mitigate a water leak under the kitchen sink. They responded to that company's call to open the pathway to the damage (removing disposal, InstaHot tank and hoses) the next day.

Once the mitigation and repair were done Ridgid returned to reinstall everything. Not only is everything back in place and operating properly, Arash and Kevin also made suggestions to correct prior installation errors, which we agreed to.

Final assessment: excellent work, extremely fair pricing and pleasant personalities throughout - not only are we back-in-business, but better than when we started! This company is of the size and service philosophy that will make us return customers (we are already discussing a longer-term project with them!!). i had to call Ridgid after another plumber screwed up at least two units in a condo with water literally running between floors. Ridged prices aren't the cheapest but it's way cheaper than paying twice- once for cheap, and once for Ridgid to clean up the mess.

Ridgid Plumbing did a great job with a tricky water heater install when ours was leaking. Their bid was very reasonable and they were very flexible in their scheduling, making room for the job that same day.

And then we discovered that nobody makes gas water heaters that fit in the space we have anymore. They adapted well, gave us other options, and were able to find and put in an electric water heater, still in a timely fashion.

They did scuff some flooring a bit during the install, for which I'd take off half a star, but then I round back up for how communicative and helpful they were when things got complicated. Ridgid was one of the first plumbing companies to reply when I requested for quotes through Yelp.

We were wanting to install exterior hosebibs on the side of our house. They were able to come out for an estimate very quickly, and the price was the best out of multiple estimates I received.

Their prices are super reasonable. Arash & Armin were great and efficient in installing the two exterior hosebibs we requested.

Arash answered all of my questions (which I had a ton) leading up to the installation. Armin was really kind, which I really appreciated! I'd hire them again in the future for any additional plumbing needs.

This the 2nd time I had them out. They replaced the shut off valve to the dishwasher a few years ago.

This time it was the toilet shut off valve to replace. Both times, very friendly, knowledgable, efficient and lucky me available same day.

When you really truly need emergency service, call these guys! I am an out-of-state landlord, so, when my tenant called me and said that they had no hot water and, when he went to check the pilot light on the water heater, there was water up to the heating element, my heart sank. Not only did I not have a regular plumber or service provider, it was after hours on Saturday night.

My first thought was to contact a friendly neighbor who had helped us previously and ask him if he had someone to recommend. I texted him but got no response.

Yelp is always my go to when I don't have a personal recommendation. As I usually do, I look at all the ratings and read the reviews carefully.

I requested a couple of quotes and told my renter who I had contacted and that they would be contacting him for more information and for an appointment. Hopefully, it would just be a minor issue.

My neighbor called back and gave me the name of a plumber that he usually uses and I contacted him as well. I did not expect too much since it was a Saturday night and we got no responses.

He also told me that, by the looks of the photo that we sent him of the water heater, it was obvious that it had rusted through and probably would need to be replaced. Since the water heater had been in place for over 10 years, we knew that was probably going to be the case.

The next morning (Sunday), we received three responses early in the morning. One of them was from Arash at Ridgid Plumbing and Drain Services.

I had my tenant talk to two other companies that had responded but neither of them could come out right away, one being able to come out on Tuesday and the other not until Thursday. Arash told him that he had someone who was out on a call and would contact him right afterwards.

Armin, the technician, was able to come out right away. He confirmed that the water heater had rusted through and would need to be replaced.

In addition, he recommended an expansion tank to take some of the stress off of the main water heater and would help prolong the life of the new one. I don't know why, but there had been no earthquake straps so we told him to install those as well as install a new ball valve.

He also had to do a little bit of extra work since the gas line was actually blocking the water heater from being removed. Armin gave me a quote at that time and broke it down for me.

It was more than what I had expected, after having priced out water heaters on the Internet, but I realized the extra work and the upgraded Rheem water heater would add to the cost and likely last us another 12 to 15 years. That, plus the fact that they could do the work the next day, convinced me that this would be the way to go.

Armin was also very patient and informative and I thought he would do a good job. He didn't have the water heater on the truck with him but promised that he would come back the first thing the next morning with a helper so they would be able to get the job done very quickly.

As promised, Armin showed up at 9 AM along with Sina and they got the job done very quickly. By 11 AM, they were done and he sent me a photo of the installation.

They had had to remove the gas line and replace the water heater and then put the gas line back in place. They cleaned up after themselves and did a very good job.

I am thrilled that my tenant was only out of hot water for one day, which was excellent keeping in mind that this was over a weekend. I also feel very good that any plumbing problems that might come up can be addressed by these very fine gentlemen.

On yelp, they have all excellent reviews and I'm very happy to be able to add this to them. The following is just my experience and may not be representative of this entire company's performance.

Also I do look like those nerds who know nothing about plumbing. Had a leaking kitchen sink, called Rigid Plumbing based on the good reviews here on yelp.

They answered my call right away and scheduled an appointment next morning. The two-men crew came on time within the appointment hour.

Took a look at my sink and offered $300 to fixed it. I said no.

Went on Amazon and ordered a basket strainer assembly and plumber's putty for a total of $10. Order arrived next day with my free one days PRIMES delivery.

Spent 30 minutes to replace the basket strainer and the leak was fixed. Turned out it was just that old putty dried up and crumbled thus started leaking.

So $300 vs. 10 bucks, with minimal amount of effort, you go figure.

Best plumbing experience yet and I've lived in my house 30 years ! Very polite,quick job ,no complaints for an excellent toilet replacement. The Toto toilet is fantastic.

I have a tricky homemade floor which he navigated without any issues. These guys are good guys.

Plumbing is like dentistry, this wasn't painful at all, THANK YOU! We used their services to change our old water heater tank with new one and we run into a nightmare... First of all they do not apply for permit with the county to install a new water tank in your home, and we just found out they are required to do so prior such job to make sure everything is done per code.

Inspector has to come by and check their work after such job to ensure it was done correctly. After a huge issue with their newly installed water tank our insurance wouldn't even cover damages as that tank was not installed per code in the first place!!! I don't even have time to continue writing here what a huge problem all that not installed per code water tank heater turned out to be for us, so shortly: SAVE YOUR MONEY, FRUSTRATION AND TIME and hire a company that is licensed to do their job per code.

If for any reasons you decide to hire them, get inspector to come by after them to confirm they did their job per code. Ridgid Plumbing and Drain Services doesn't do so and are exposing their clients to a huge hazard, plus you may not be able to sell your property at all if you have water tank heater not installed per code.

My shower faucet had a slow drip with a very tight cap from prior owner maintenance. I considered pursuing DIY efforts to resolve, but wasn't comfortable with risks of the backing pipes in the wall getting twisted or the assembly otherwise getting damaged and creating a much bigger problem.

Arash came in on schedule to take care of this small job on a Saturday morning. With a few torching cycles, the cap gave way and the internals were replaced, and shared some observations about how the prior work had been handled.

Set expectations with a worse case estimate of a couple hours - the work ended up clocking in at 45 mins, with parts cost being competitive with Home Depot prices. Hourly rate is not cheap, but reasonable for peace of mind with an seasoned professional who specializes in service calls and obviously takes pride in his work.

I never write yelp reviews but I am I feel the need to write one today. My family is moving into a house built into the 70s and we noticed a leak in the main line.

My wife called an Arash was super responsive and rockstar technician Armin came out walked through options and worked HARD to throughout the day to fix the issue between the foundation and the mainline indoors. Armin gave me so much information throughout the day and educated me on all things plumbing.

Armin is dedicated to his craft and I have full confidence in the work that was done. Really happy with the work even on a day with unexpected expenses.

Armin came out next day and nailed a repair on a complicated service line break. He was a smooth operator through a complicated day, with other contractors onsite and numerous neighbor interactions.

Got 9 quotes for camera/hydro-jetting a storm drain on a private, jointly owned road. Quotes ranged from 550 to 1200.

These guys were 589, flat rate until job was done. Rigid had fast availability and was able to come out the same day that I got approval for work to begin.

The 550 place wasn't available until over a week later. 589 was close and very reasonable.

Arash did an amazing job, he was also very knowledgeable about the drain system and very courteous. Drain was hydro-jetted and cleared in just a few minutes then he ran a camera through to show us the cleared pipe.

Camera was good quality and Arash let me take a cellphone video to show the other homeowners. In and out in a half hour.

Problem solved! Thank you Arash! Will definitely use you again and refer you to all my friends and family. Arash was very professional and efficient.

This review is for services from a few months ago. I wanted to make sure the fix was holding before reviewing.

One star for the toilets, which are working wonderfully. Arash's employee came to replace two toilets, and did not prep the area for dust, leaving our bathroom, master bedroom, and closet covered.

We were not informed there would be tile dust everywhere. All our clothes and bedding were covered in dust, and my makeup brushes are no longer usable.

He did not give a reason for not tarping the area, despite my asking. He kept saying "so you didn't want me to fix your problem?" Arash came and helped dust the immediate area, and offered to launder our things, but I'm not comfortable with strangers doing my bedroom laundry.

He also offered to pay for some makeup brushes, but they were expensive. He ended up giving a very minor discount.

The employee also looked at pipes in our basement we were concerned about and said they were fine. We had another plumber come finish other jobs, and they definitely put covers on the area and held a vacuum to the saw as they were cutting.

No mess. And no, our pipes were not fine it turns out.

I have not needed a plumber in a long time so I was in a position of having to roll the dice to find someone who could fix a serious issue, *quickly*. Their team installed my new water heater and did couple of plumbing upgrades and checks at my home. They were also nice enough to come back for checking a small leak without charge.

Great service! Our kitchen sink backed up by what seemed like a grease related clog (backed up water was greasy). I cleared all the piping under the sink but still clogged, so I tried to use a 25' snake to clear the pipes behind the wall and under the floor, but never got to the clog.

So I reached out Ridgid Plumbing through Yelp and got a message back from Arash, and was able to schedule a consultation later that day. He took a look at the situation and gave me a fixed price quote of $389+tax, and told me exactly what he was going to do and why.

I saw previously on Yelp that this kind of work could range from $400-$600 and so I felt his quote was very reasonable, and he gave a 6-month warranty on his work. He wore booties the whole time, carried his equipment and laid down tarp in the work area so he would not dirty/damage the floor.

He cleared the clog after about 20 minutes (ran the snake twice) and cleaned up the area (floor, wall, under the sink) after he was finished. From the time he came to the time he left was about 80 minutes.

I would definitely use him again (but I hope I never have to)! Called rigid plumbing with a non emergency on a Sunday night and was able to have them come first thing on Monday afternoon. Excellent customer service quality work took care of rerouting my sink piping all in one visit .

At that time I purchased new gas furnace, water heater and windows. The window installer was my only problem (that was when they used outside sources).

They are awesome. Last week, they installed my new dishwasher, changed out two shower heads, corrected my shower drain problem, and snaked two drains.

Simply Leak Detection pinpointed a leak deep under my driveway between the house and the street. I called Erik and his crew worked very hard to dig to the pipe (more than 5 feet under the asphalt) and correct the problem.

We hired Erik to do a full bathroom install (drainage rough in, new water lines, toilet, double vanity, add fixtures. Here are the issues we have found to date.

Dripping P-trap, dripping supply lines, trim not fastened firmly against the tile (minor grout shaving needed, not done), trim not caulked, shower drain not centered, toilet not centered then tile chipped, paint scraped from install, mechanical vent improperly installed, bathtub and shower faucets installed backwards and incorrectly, shower leaking when tub running, pipe shavings and messes not cleaned up before leaving. Plumbing inspection final failed, hot and cold water for the shower are backwards and would need to tear out the wall to fix them and the left drain on the sink is leaking onto the teak vanity which I didn't catch before so now the $2900 wooden vanity has water damage.

Through the entire process Erik was very passive aggressive and really didn't act like he cared. When asked about the shower drain and toilet not being centered he said, "does that really matter?" I would expect a good contractor to say "I'm sorry, what can I do to fix it?" This was a $65,000 new bathroom that turned out gorgeous except for the cheap work Erik did.

He was sloppy, cheap and disorganized. Do not waste your time if you are adding a luxury en suite, he might be okay for plunging toilets though.

We have hired Erik D Plummer twice so far and we have been happy with their service. Very professional, responsive, and reasonable pricing.

Fast service and fair pricing! Our garbage disposal died and needed to be replaced, and these guys had it done in less than half an hour. Also had them look at an outdoor faucet that kept leaking on me, and they had that diagnosed and fixed in a jiffy.

Couldn't find anything else for them to do, so they were in an out in 45 minutes. Will make sure I have a longer list of issues next time since they charge a minimum of one hour, but will definitely call them in the future.

I called to get them to come back to do the job correctly and that it is under warranty. He tried to say there is no warranty and that he would come back to fix it but would not honor the warranty.

I would not recommend their services. We tried to use Eric D plumbing but he said that they would not work if it had snowed.

He said that he had liability to take his truck out and didn't want a possible accident. I am frustrated, I understand being swamped with work but the greater Seattle area now has snow every year for a week or two.

Plumbing is an essential service so why no work if it snows? In fact, that's when plumbers are needed the most due to frozen pipes. I'm not talking a blizzard but only about 1 inch of snow.

That's what winter snow tires are for. It would be like the police or firefighters saying, no, we don't go out if there is snow.

I'm probably biased because several members of our families are essential workers and they work no matter what. We could really use more plumbers on the eastside.

I'm in California but have a rental house in Seattle. This house has a sewage injection pump for the whole house's sewage to the main line uphill.

We had to replace the pump a couple of years ago, using a now-defunct plumber, but the tenants had problems recently. The pump either did not work, or it kept running and wasting a lot of power.

So I sent out requests on a Sunday to several Yelp plumbers, and Eric was the only prompt response. He called Monday morning, and I gave him the details I knew (not much) and the tenant's phone number.

He coordinated with them, and called me about an hour later saying the check valve needed to be replaced for a total bill of $250. I was a little shocked at the (what seemed to me to be a) low price.

:-) But I asked about the pump itself, and he said that the existing one was underpowered and might be suspect, although he never tried to push me to get a new one. But I decided to get one to solve the problem for long term, as I don't like to deal with problems, and I don't want my tenants (and their young kids) to deal with sewage problems.

So, he called about an hour later saying the pump was installed, tested, and everything was fine. He was able to take my credit card info over the phone.

Total cost was $680 plus taxes. I have no idea how that compares to other plumbers, but I don't think it was too much, considering it was dealing with raw sewage.

And I found out from the tenants that the outlet pipe had been loose, so the sewage had leaked back into the chamber, which is what caused the pump to overwork. So, it sounds like it was pretty messy.

The tenants told me "the plumber seemed to really know his stuff and was very nice to deal with even though he was quite busy getting calls from people needing urgent plumbing needs." I almost hate adding a good review, as he might become too busy to be so responsive in the future. But I didn't want to be selfish, so I decided to share.

I had an outdoor spigot on the back of my house that was leaking behind the wall siding and on top of that, low pressure to the shower head in one of my bathrooms. Erik and his brother came out, assessed what needed to be done, and had it all fixed in less than an hour.

A failed wax ring in a condo is a insurance claim waiting to happen. So at the first sign of water on the floor my Husband and I said "we gotta fix this".

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday of this week pass without a call. So today I called him to find out when he expected to be able to go to the house.

He remembered our conversation and remembered seeing the email I'd sent him, but admitted that my project "hadn't been added to the calendar" and that now the earliest he could get to me would be "sometime next week". The repair cannot wait until next week, so now I am unfortunately forced to hire an "emergency repair" plumber, for which I assume I will pay emergency rates.

As the owner of a small business, I know what it's like to get busy. Sometimes my company gets booked out several months in advance.

He investigated noise and told me it is most likely water hammering noise. He said he could put some holes in the wall and investigate but as long as I do not see the obvious sign of leakage, it is not likely that there exists a water leakage.
