Then blamed the shower lol $1100 shower and he Ripped us off. I only realized how bad after I healed from Cancer Surgery forcing me to stop working on the house a few days after he came out and did his shoddy work.

I called a few days before going in for surgery, he blamed the shower and was rude. DO NOT USE THIS MAN.

I had issue with American Home Warranty and I contacted them to change the plumbing company. The owner and a tech came out and fixed the problem I was having with my toilet and fixed it immediately.

They are prompt and have always provided excellent customer service. Stay FAR away from these people.

They don't install properly and break things and REFUSE to stand behind their install. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! My hot water heater stopped working.

They came out once and said I just needed the temperature turned up a little more. The next day I had zero hot water.

They came out the following day and still couldn't fix it. I do not recommend this company.

I called another plumbing company the next day and they fixed it in an hour. Although I live at least an hour away and would've hired someone closer, my home warranty company dispatched this plumbing company for some minor repairs.

The only problem I had was with scheduling. I made it clear from the beginning that my problem was not a priority, and it took a couple of weeks to get them out, which was ok.

I was told that they would be out one day, then when I called late in the day to see if they were still coming, was told they got a truck stuck or broken down or something and would try to come the next morning. Then got a call the next morning that it would be a few more days.

Again, the timing wasn't so much of an issue as the hit-and-miss of the scheduling. But this happens.

When the two gentlemen showed up to my home I was very impressed. Not only were they polite and knowledgeable, but the "lead" plumber was intent on showing me what he'd found, why it was a problem, and what he'd done to fix it.

He was thorough, respectful and just a really nice guy. They were in and out pretty fast and didn't leave a mess.

If I were closer to their regular service area, I'd call them again. No wonder these people were able to get to our issues quickly!! No one else is hiring them and now I know why!! Wish I could give a -10 stars.

We had/have a simple issue. Our guest bathroom toilet was leaking from underneath due to it being broken on the bottom.

So the first time they showed up, they checked it out, flushed the toilet, saw the water go everywhere, snaked it and called it good, until I stopped them and convinced them that they needed to take the toilet off and check it and sure enough...BROKEN. So a week and a half later (luckily, we don't live in the house yet) they came back and installed the new toilet.

The first time the toilet was used, it wobbled and broke again, WATER EVERYWHERE. Luckily the new floors hadn't been put down.

So I called back to let them know of the issue and the lady who answered the phone, plumbers wife, proceeded to tell me that it isn't possible that the toilet was installed incorrectly but she would send them back out. They came out today, accused MY HUSBAND of tampering with the SEAL and flushed the toilet after my husband told him not to, without having towels to stop all the water, because we had just laid new flooring!!! and said enough people had used the toilet that the pipes were clogged and that why it was leaking again!!! So after having a few words with my husband, he left.

Then we called a family member, who is a city plumbing inspector with a master plumbers license, who told us the truth of the matter and not to let those clowns mess with our plumbing again. So I called Allen Steele to let them know of their incompetence and not to dispatch to my place again when 'plumbers wife' proceeded to yell at me.

I told her that as a Realtor, I would make sure that I let everyone know of this issue and she yelled, "I wish you would. Oh, I SO WISH YOU WOULD." So, here I am.

They were hired by our Home Warranty company and they are the next on my list for a phone call warning about Allen Steele Plumbing. I love doing business with Allen Steele Plumbing.

They have been taking care of plumbing issues at my 1955 ranch home in Tyler for over a year now. They are prompt, provide excellent quality work, they fix things the very first time and their price is fair.

They are not only family operated, but they are family friendly and have been very helpful to me, and my 23 year old daughter who is renting this home from me, while she completes college. It's hard to be an absentee landlord and my daughter is not too handy with a pipe wrench! I trust this company and their employees completely, as does my daughter, and though we have not met in person, I feel like I have a friend every time that I talk with Kittie Steele! Great people to do business with.

They have horrible customer service! I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. They don't even deserve a 1 star.

The lady that answers the phones is VERY RUDE. As I was trying to conduct business with her, she yells at me.

When I asked her not to yell at me, SHE HANGS UP IN MY FACE! I called right back and she answered the phone saying are you ready to talk now..... I told her that is no way to run a business, and she should answer the phone Allen Steele Plumbing may I help you.

She said that she would tell the warranty company to just pull my ticket and give it to another company. I said that's fine as long as I get my deductible back I've already paid them.

She says I AINT GIVING YOU BACK NOTHING! After all the going back and worth with her I told her that all I want is my plumbing fixed. Long story short this company deserves NO STARS'''.Read less
