Review and analyze now for company North East Air Conditioning Heating & Plumbing Services and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''David and Bobby did an excellent job replacing 3 old faucets in our laundry room and bathroom. They arrived on the same day of my request and completed the job in a timely and professional manner.
Highly recommend! I have used Northeast Air for over 15 years since I lived in Universal City and now Converse. I have an Annual Maintenance agreement with them now, to complete routine Spring and Fall AC checks.
They have always been prompt, reliable, responsive to any immediate surprises I've had with a broken underground pipe. Yes, no one likes a plumbing costs, but they are professionals, certified, well trained and based on my experience with them over the years, they are quick to diagnose the issue, offer a price, and quickly fix problem.
I appreciate a dependable plumber and AC service. Mr.
Ralph Flores, has been keeping my AC working great for years! Sometimes being busy we forget to say Thank you to Office and guys for being here in Converse. I got a flyer in the mail for water heater cleaning for $99.
I had never had this done so I figured it would be good to do it. I did watch a video on how to do it myself but decided I rather have someone else do it and the price seemed reasonable.
The scheduled an appointment and came out as expected in the 3 hour time window arranged over the phone. This is a business that only works over the phone and emailing them seems to not be an option.
The company agent was friendly enough but had to replace the valve on my water heater because it was clogged. This was not unexpected so I didn't mind that it needed to happen.
I do wish they would have told me of the $30 cost that would be added to replace the valve though before he did the work. The total cost ended up at $130, and not $99.
(very expensive valve I guess) My biggest issue was that they don't use a bag to collect the waste materials and let it drain out into the driveway. And in replacing my valve some drainage "goo" was left in my garage and cabinet as well.
I called the company after and asked what their standard practice was, and they said it was to let it drain down the driveway and let the rain wash it away. I do not believe this is a good practice and I wish I had thought enough about it beforehand to ask.
Services should leave work areas as clean or cleaner than when they came. Now I have a mess to clean up in my driveway so I don't annoy neighbors and in my garage which the rain will not wash away.
I would have been more willing to pay for a service company that has higher standards. So I guess the lesson of this story is beware flyers with "cheap" pricing.
You may actually get the least amount of "service" possible. I meant to write this review earlier--the installation was done at the beginning of June! Anyway, the job was done by a superbly professional team, working in excruciating heat (104 degrees!), and they were polite and explained what they were doing throughout the installation.
They had to work around problems with a 70-year old house, old wiring, and apparently sub-standard original installation issues. The city inspector said it was impeccably done.
Beware -THIEF"S Took advantage of a young 23 year old girl, first time dealing with a pluming problem. They could not clear the drain because the plumber needed him plumbing assistant.
He charged $300 for his time (did not clear the drain). Said he would be back.
Returned 3 days later claiming they have to get on the roof and to go through the vent to clear the drain. Three hours later she calls me for help.
They had another blockage. THEY CREATED A SECOND BLOCKAGE BY GOING THROUGH ROOF VENT.
I told here there was a clean out in the garage, the wall behind the washer. She didn't know what it was.
That's okay, an experienced plumber should know where to look for a clean out. So they ran a snake through the clean out and the line where clear.
Imagine that! I wish she had called me sooner. We have owned the house for 30 years and have never had plumbers on the roof.
Then they charge her another $680. THESE GUYS DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THEY ARE SHARKS!!!! The garage is a 2" clean out but, it worked any plumber in the last 30 years.
Never had a plumber on the roof before! The property is occupied by my 23 yro daughter and out of desperation on a Saturday she called North East. A Plumber came out and looked over the plumbing, said he couldn't do anything without an assistant and charged over $300.00 and said he would be back on Monday.
Unfortunately my inexperienced daughter paid with her credit card without the problem being fixed. The plumber returned on Tues.
due to rain on Monday stating he had to get on the roof and could not on Monday due to rain. Tues.
the plumber and assistance came out and spent hours at the house, on the roof, clearing out one clog (so is said) and wasn't until my daughter called me and I asked her " did the plumber look at the clean out behind the washer in the garage?" Bingo, the clog was cleared within 30 minutes. They charge per hour and the plumber couldn't find the clean out in the house or ask the occupant? So, $1000.00 later the plumbing is working and North East told me there is no guarantee on their work.
On Wednesday I called the owner, Sean, to complain about the cost and why so much time was taken to find the clean out when all the plumber had to do was ask. Sean blamed me, as the customer, that I should have called the plumber and told him where it was.
The owner said he did find where I was charged double the service charge of $99.00 and that I was being "so nasty" about the whole thing that he shouldn't even refund the doubled charge service charge. The owner did not take my complaint serious.
He laughed at me and disregarded my concern of being over charged. I have never been charged $1000.00 to unclog a drain - more in the ball park of 3-500.00.
If I wouldn't have called to complain I would have been charged a double service charge. Be very careful hiring these people and be prepared to write a big check.
Had them come out to service my central AC. Requested at the time of making the appt for them to check the ducting in the attic.
They said they don't clean them, but they will check them. Man that came out was super nice & offered awesome customer service! He was even honest about what we could do to maintain our indoor unit & hopefully help it be more efficient & maybe last longer.
I really do feel like our AC unit is running better now in these HOT temps. However, he didn't check the ducts & I forgot to request while he was here.
They had open appointments when other A/C companies were taking appointments for June. Their technician went above and beyond when checking our A/C and fixing a drain line.
This is for the plumbing side of their business only. Writing this kind of late but thought it shouldn't go without letting others know.
Two young guys came out to replace bathroom faucets, ( which I had bought). It's an older home from the 60's and turns out the stainless pipes needed to be replaced with plastic.
From the very beginning the guy who looked to be in charge was complaining, and rude saying things like "when was the last time you had this place updated." I should have sent them away right then but didn't thinking the kid was having a bad day. They left and took plumbing supplies I had bought with them, the parts were in new boxes so I know there was no confusion about whose they were.
I called the office and told the lady who answered and she sent the young guys back with the parts. Couple of days later a "cover your ...
" letter arrives form the place saying something like "job completed to customer's satisfaction" etc. etc.
No apology for the guy taking what wasn't his just the letter not mentioning what had happened. Maybe the rude guy was related of the owners, don't know how anyone could stay employed there otherwise.
Now a couple of years later they're leaking so I crawled under to see where the water is coming from and saw plunger rods not even attached just hanging there and it reminded me of that rude guy who complained that the house hadn't had updates to suit him and who took what wasn't his and the response from the office. Needless to say not calling them again.
They completed an install that later had problems. Wouldn't even take a look at the problem without charging a $90 diagnostic fee.
Pass these guys by ... Had HORRIBLE service from this company!! They will RIP YOU OFF!! A/C went out in May 2020 & they said that my inside coil had to be replaced.
Replaced it $3500 later!! When the techs got here to replace the coil, they both looked @ what they were replacing & said "This doesn't look that bad to me", not knowing I could hear them! THEN, the A/C STILL DIDN'T work!! So ANOTHER tech comes out & says "the inside coil is NOT what needed to be replaced. It is your OUTSIDE coil which is only $150 & some change repair!! Now mind you thru all of this, I have a husband coming home from the hospital after having a Stroke during a Pandemic! I can't have a 90+ degree house for him to come home to!! So, be careful of this company!! THEY ARE NOT HONEST CARING FOLKS!! Had a system installed done today.
Gabe and his crew arrived on time and were ultra professional during the entire install. They were very respectful of my home and cleaned up everything afterwards.
More importantly, Gabe filled me in on everything going on throughout the day and made sure we were satisfied and didn't have any more questions before leaving. I'd highly recommend North East AC! I called North East AC because I had a leak in my ac unit inside my house.
The tech never explained how much the cost was he just said I had a clogged line. He serviced my unit and when he was done he had the nerve to tell me that he was giving me a discount.
He charged me $218 total. Some discount.
I didn't expect to pay $218 to unclog the line. I would have never agreed to pay that much if I was told the price.
I also asked the tech Larry about my Freon and he lied to me and said that it was good an I wouldn't have to worry about it until next year. Well I didn't believe him because my house was not getting cool.
I had to contact another AC company to add Freon to my unit. Never will use this company again.
I would give a zero but it won't take a zero rating Good service, fair prices, great personnel: thanks, George! We'll definitely use Northeast again and recommend to friends. A+++ for air conditioner troubleshoot and repair.
From initial phone call through repair...100% professional, customer svc tops the list. Ralph was our repair tech.
Never seen better, more professional in my 30 years of home ownership. Another company in town wanted to charge $1500 for a repair that wasn't necessary, or even close to the right fix.
Ralph quickly realized the situation. Fixed our unit for $350...way less than other company's idea.
Really impressed by the service and honesty of this company. Two stars for coming out and performing a diagnosis within hours after I called- I appreciate that.
No stars for not fixing the problem but rather putting a temporary fix for 1 hour of labor (during the diagnosis) and charging me $166. I spoke with the master plumber and my take away from the conversation is they don't suggest fixing the problem from the start- they charge you per the hour for temporary fixes until the right bandaid holds the longest.
No highly intuitive suggestion provided by the technician. I would have appreciated the hour of labor for the temporary fix go toward a permanent fix but they don't warranty their craftsmanship.
I have used Northeast East on several occasions and am so amazed with the quality of their work and you cannot beat their pricing. Kyle came out today to install a bathroom sink faucet.
He was on time and did a great job! I will not use any other comapny for my a/c, heating or plumbing needs.'''.
