Review and analyze now for company SewerTV Hydro Jetting and Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Dave is the man!!!!!!!! I really glad to called and found him. I really love to give 10 stars.
Thanks Dave and team Sewer TV for hydro jetting nasty roots and cleared out our main drain. Now I can use a toilet paper again.
Before I called Dave, I tried couple plumbers. All others tried to sell big project jackhammering the sidewalk and front yard.
BUT Dave NEVER did that. Very honest and showed us several options.
We saved a lot this time. When we need a big plumbing project, Dave is the man to take care of our property.
Dave is extremely knowledgeable and super helpful in finding the right solutions. sewertv is wonderful! I texted them at 7 this morning with a picture of a split in my septic spray head.
they came out at 10 am, removed the defective head, bought a replacement and came back and installed it, all before noon! excellent service! Try them if you need septic work! John Walter Dave came out and evaluated the situation. Few tree roots but nothing major.
Gave me advice on how to keep the little buggers at bay. Nothing structural.
His personality is also very refreshing. Not what you expect in a plumber.
Call him with any sewer issues you might have. Dealt with multiple plumbers over the years and he is the best.
Well folks, he did it again. Even better service than before though, if that was even possible.
I challenge you to find a more honest and trustworthy plumber in the industry. No, I'm serious.
Try it. I'll wait right here.
I told you before that I was going to start flushing socks down the drain so I had a reason to call Dave out. Luckily (I suppose) the kids handled that for me.
Called up Dave and he got here next-day. Of course he was able to clear the line.
Of course the price was terrific. Also gave me some great pointers on how to care for the drain line so we would have less need for plumbing services.
Yes. You heard that right.
The man teaches you how to save money by avoiding the need for services like his. Literally the opposite of upselling.
Best service professional EVER! Dave is prompt, extremely knowledgeable, provides viable options for consideration and most importantly extremely honest. A true professional in his field of work...
HIGHLY recommend. I was having some backup from my kitchen sewer line.
I called a few plumbing companies that I found on Yelp. I ran across Sewer TV which had good reviews so I gave them a call.
I spoke with Dave, owner, who was very knowledgeable. Dave was very helpful and to the point.
After we spoke, he came within one day to check it out after work. Didn't mind coming late and camera my line and found that it was clogged with fat.
He hydrojetted the line for a fair price. We put a camera back in after and everything was cleared out.
He even gave me advice on how to keep my lines clean so I won't have this issue again. If you are skeptical about other companies then I would recommend giving Dave a call.
I was looking for a plumber to do hydro jetting and came across SewerTV. I called and spoke to Dave, he was super helpful and friendly over the phone.
He gave me lots of very useful information and made some suggestions in regards to items we can actually do ourselves to save some money. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to help.
He was very reliable and came to my house in multiple occasions to help with the hydro jetting and clean out installation. I recommend Dave for all your plumbing needs.
Bold, upfront, honest and hard working team!!!! Thank y guys, I will keep u in my contacts for future needs for sure. I really wanted to do more but for now I have more pressing issues that require immediate attention.
Thank you again for coming on Sunday and telling me how it is!! Good to know there are knowledgeable professionals do exist!! I've used this service twice in two years. First for deck drains and then for sewer line.
Dave is a prompt, reliable, honest and highly skilled professional. He will diagnose your problem, offer a variety of solutions and be ready to get to work immediately.
He finishes on time, charges the agreed upon price and meticulously cleans the job site. I highly recommend this service to anyone.
Thanks Dave! Our call was answered immediately and we had service within the hour. Completed the job quickly and advised us about options.
Reasonable cost. No high pressure for extra services.
Definitely worth calling!! Dave his his guys were awesome! He's clearly someone who knows what he's talking about and enjoys teaching and sharing information while he was solving my issue. He was eager to show me exactly what was going on and super honest and fair about whether I needed to actually do something about the issue or not.
I really appreciate when someone in a trade gives me an answer on what they would do if they owned the home and without any pushy sales appeal. He responded right away, showed up exactly when he said he would and his expertise was reassuring.
They did quick work to hydro jet and camera my lines. I'm definitely using him again! Dave is very knowledgeable.
He knows what he is taking about. He just saved me a lot of money and time.
Called him on Friday night and came out the following morning at 8:00am. I would highly recommend this company Once again Dave has come to my rescue! Upon reaching out to him he made time (that day!) to get over to my house and identify a leak caused during a remodel (contractor didn't connect pipes correctly).
Dave's promptness and honest approach saved me from what could have been a mess! I just called to get more information on an issue I was having. The guy that answered the phone responded with, "Yeah, what do you want" I explained the issue I was having, and he said "I am sorry and hung up.
He is very rude and just did not care. I would never use a guy that is this rude.
I am sure most of the good reviews on here are from friends and family, rather than real or satisfied customers. Dave was super quick to respond after another set of rains that left me frustrated.
Though I have had others come before, he has been the first no nonsense person to spend the time to figure out the issues I was having. He is not pushy, and after using the camera, digging in a few spots and cross-checking, he got to the source of my problems.
He was thorough and got me quote quickly so I could decide on how to proceed. I was ready to tear up my hardscape and I am sure he has saved me money.
Dont hesitate to call him, he is not likely to charge you to come out and get answers. Highly recommend! I highly recommend Sewer TV Plummer's.
Dave the owner is a honest, knowledgeable, professional, very responsive, quick and reasonably priced. Before he arrived I dealt with some very expensive unethical plumbers.
Dave Flynn of Sewer TV can be trusted with quality service which can be hard to find in this industry. Mike C La Mirada It states that it's a free video inspection.
First off I was never told or signed anything authorizing the work before it was done. I was hoping that they could fix the bugs broken pipe with a liner.
But they told me that it would have to be jack hammered out for $ 3,300. Which I told them I did not have that money.
At the end I ask how much do I own you. I was charged $250 video, and $500 more for them to jet out the pipe.
Total $750 for something that it says would be free. I was excepting some type of charge.
But once again, $750 for 45 minutes of work, and still have a broken pipe. :( Highly recommend! Back in 2009 Dave and SewerTv came to my rescue when I had to replace a main drain at my house.
He was prompt, fairly priced and professional. Fast forward 2019.
Dave did not disappoint. Of three companies, SewerTv delivered the best solution for my sink drain rebuild.
He had the job completed exactly when he said it would be done and even came in under price. Finally, at a moments notice SewerTv came to my rescue agin unclogging a bathtub.
With great prices, quality work and professionalism, SewerTv is my choice for hiring a quality plumbing company. Dave has maintained our sewer line for years and when friends ask, Dave's is the only name I give.
Whether handling routine maintenance or an unexpected problem Dave is prompt, courteous, fair, honest and gets the job done. There are few worse things for a homeowner than a blocked sewer line.
Even over this holiday he came right out to camera and hydrojet our line. I couldn't be happier wth the quality and speed of the work.
After a big corporate chain plumber left me with a hefty bill, a still-clogged drain, and a ridiculously over-priced quote to fix it, a contractor friend referred me to call Dave. He was at my house 30 minutes later to quote the work and started working 30 minutes after that.
His price was $1400 less than the chain plumber's quote and the work was done quickly and cleanly. Spending thousands of dollars on plumbing is such a doozy.
You are literally flushing dollars down the drain and see no visible results. That's why you want to find someone who will get the job done well and at a good price so you can just get the job done and forget it ever happened.
My husband, who normally takes care of all house related things, was traveling so I called Dave to get a quote and get him out to our place for an estimate. I appreciated that as a woman, he didn't try to "mansplain" things to me.
We spent 15 minutes talking options, product he uses, warranty, etc. He showed up on time for the estimate and offered to give me a thumb drive of the footage from the camera he took in our sewer line (others will charge just for them to look down it).
His quote was more than 1/2 of what our normal plumber quoted and with a lifetime vs. 10 year warranty.
We were really happy with the work he did and can now forget about the roots that were invading our sewer line every few months and causing a headache maintaining. Thanks Dave! Dave was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
He is a veteran with ethics. He is there to get the job done with honesty and integrity.
I called him with a back up in an entire section of my house. He came quickly and made our home workable within an hour.
He then came an additional day to help guide us to make sure that our ancient plumbing is as good as it gets for the future. Dave is even offering to come on his own time to assist to make sure our personal side of the job is done right.
While he was here, he even offered to install a toilet for us. He took a ton of time with us and it is truly appreciated! Dave was the BEST! He gave me advice on how to get my job completed less expensive.
Advised me on what copper to buy and how to find a retexture person. Even gave me a referral for an honest company! I'm grateful! Honest! trustworthy! so hard to find these days.
Thank you Yelp! Dave is awesome, battling a drain back up for 20 years and decided you get what you pay for. $500 for $100,000 equipment is a good investment.
Hydrojetted out the FOG gunk (Fat, Oil and Grease...effluent), made a mess but used my pressure washer to clean up the mess to the street. Sprayed down with bio-fresh to get rid of the stink.
Now will use Black Diamond enzyme producing bacteria every month to keep the 2" drain line clear. Hope it will last another 50 years!! Don't waste your money on a snake job every 6 months, clean out and then maintain the drains!! Happy wife, Happy Life!! Dave is a real pro, highly recommend.
He was able to meet me quickly at a property in escrow where we had some concerns about trees impacting the sewer. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and super helpful in finding the right solutions for the issue at hand.
He and his crew came in, fixed the issue, and left the place better than they found it. Dave is now our go to plumber.
Highly recommend! Dave was great to deal with. Easy to text and contact.
Was prompt. The pricing was better than I anticipated.
The job was done with the utmost professionalism. No need to helicopter parent Dave and his crew - They earned my respect from the get go! Dave is very knowledgeable and gave us a good game plan to fix our problem another contractor created.
He is very to the point and no bs. This may come off a rude to some people but I appriciate the honesty.
I highly reccomend him for your plumbing needs. Honest, experienced, and very knowledgeable company!!! Dave knows his stuff! It's tough being a girl and being a home owner, when the toilet is plugged, I have no idea how to deal with it.
Thank god for people like Dave. Called him to fix my plumbing issue after another company had lied and tried to ripe me off.
Dave and his crew came out right away. He put down the sewer camera and pinpointed exactly where the problem was and gave me honest and detailed advice on how to fix it.
I ended up saving thousands and thousands of dollars because of him. It's truly rare to find someone who has the customer's best interest at heart and tries his best to meet the customer's needs and helping the customer save money at the same time.
I'm very impressed and truly grateful to have found Dave. I found SewerTV after researching a job Roto-Rooter described as Hydro-Jetting on Youtube.
Our bathtub clogged and would oddly backup whenever the kitchen sink was used. After having three Roto Rooter technicians come out on the same visit and having the price raised I decided to call the number on the Youtube description and thus found Dave at SewerTV.
Dave was extraordinarily knowledgeable and listened closely while I relayed across what Roto Rooter said they would have to do. Dave then gave suggestions that both Roto Rooter and I should use for fixing the drain at a lower cost.
He explained why the cost was so high and why some other alternatives should be tried first. I appreciate Dave for assisting even though I would likely not be able to use his service because of the +120 mile distance.
If SewerTV covered my area here in Santa Barbara I would absolutely choose him first for any plumbing issues. Thanks for your videos and advice.
Dave gave me a great second opinion, and a far more reasonable quote in regards to my old sewer drains. He gave his opinion and didn't think the stuff I was quoted by the others was necessary.
I will definitely call back when it's time to start doing something about it. We hired SewerTV to replace a 60-year old clay sewer line in Orange County suffering from tree root incursion at each joint.
They created a new sewer by running a liner the entire way from the house to the city sewer (CIPP). When considering the fact that this approach should be a very robust solution to the tree root problems, I think their price was a great value.
The crew (Dave and his son Dustin) were great, efficient, very knowledgeable, totally honest, and cared about getting the job done right. I would encourage anyone considering sewer replacement to get a bid from SewerTV, especially if your situation is that you have tree roots entering the sewer line from many joints, because spot repairs will still leave many joints from which the roots can still get in.
Dave was very helpful and he educated me on dipstick tile people who fill P-Traps with Thinset and remedies thereof. This guys is very smart and has 30 years of experience.
I recommend him highly. Dave helped me out with a clogged sewer drain at my office.
There was a broken piece of equipment blocking the drain (from a previous attempt by another company)and he was able to remove it, fix the drain and clear our pipes! He responded quickly, was very reasonable in his pricing and guaranteed his work. I have also used him for plumbing issues at my own home.
Excellent work! Dave was first rate from the moment we started working together and easily the most knowledgable sewer contractor I've worked with (and there have been many). Called him out for a second opinion after I was told I had to spend $9,800 on a plumbing issue.
He recommended a much simpler solution costing $500 and came out the next day to do it with no extras or bs. Definitely recommend using him.
I send a request for a quote for some toilet problem I'm having. Dave responded to my inquiry immediately and called me right away upon my request.
Dave was pleasant, polite and very knowledgeable. He guided us step by step to troubleshoot our issue and he did it all for free.
I hope there's more people like Dave out there. Dave was very friendly and helpful! A few years ago a handyman had accidentally tied a drain into an abandoned storm drain which is now leaking up into my front lawn.
Dave located the problem quickly (2hr, $1,100) and provided multiple plans of attack moving forward. I contacted SewerTV and he came out right away.
I'd had quotes from four other plumbers about a clogged sewer line who said I needed to jackhammer up my bathroom and bedroom floor to fix my sewer and it would cost $8000-$10,000. Dave came out and used his color TV camera to scope out my sewer lines and showed me the problem and explained my options.
He came back the next day, fixed the problem and charged me less than $2000. He came back two days later to check and make sure everything was OK.
If I could give him 10 stars I would. He fixes the problem and charges a fair price.
The only plumbing work this company does is sewers. If you have sewer problem, hire this company! Update: Just got a new big washing machine which drained water faster than our drain pine could handle so was backing up into the house- big mess.
Called Dave Thursday night, he was out Friday morning at 7:30 to remove a 50 year old clogged/caked drain trap and 1-1/4" drain pipe that was too small. He re-piped it all in 2" and everything works great now.
Glad to have resource like Dave to call on! I was trying to unscrew a hose in the backyard when I broke off the head of the faucet spigot and the PVC pipe it was attached to. I managed to turn off the main water line and did a quick google search and found SewerTV.
I called the number and Dave walked me through what I should buy at Home Depot and how to replace it and said it was a simple fix. Maybe for a plumber it was a simple repair, but I had NO IDEA what I was doing and sent Dave pictures of what I broke.
What I was really afraid of was the fact the pipe I was repairing was connected directly to the main water line and did no have a local shut off valve. Dave reiterated that with a few simple tools I could take care of it myself and save money, but offered to come over if needed.
I happily took his offer, he went to Home Depot, picked up parts and tools for me, came to my home and fixed the pipe in about 10-15 minutes. This man said it was an easy job and would not take my money! Dave is really experienced and taught me the basics of how the pipes were connected in the back of my house.
He also gave me helpful recommendations of where I could install a shut off valve so that if any pipe breaks in the back of the house, I could shut it of locally. What a great human being.
I highly recommend Dave's services. Dave came out on a last minute call last week to check out our main sewer line.
Gave us good advise and an honest quote along with his recommendation. Did not try to sell us on something we did not need at the moment.
He was prompt and knowledgeable. Will definitely call again for future needs! Thank you.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dave for your plumbing needs. We had been living with a tree root problem for years and were fed up paying those other guys to clean out twice a year.
When we called Dave for a estimate, his price to reline the pipe was way below what those other guys wanted to charge. He showed up and did what he said he was going to do and at no time did I doubt that he would do what he said.
You can trust this guy. Place was clean after job was complete.
I just called to get an estimate on a drain cleaning for a clogged sink. The guy that answered the phone responded with, "you're calling to get an estimate on a $50 drain cleaning? Yeah, I'm not doing that." Then he hung up.
Rude and conceited. You're a plumber, and this is specifically what you do.
How am I supposed to know that cleaning a drain is beneath you? If the job is too small for you, say you're too busy. Y'know, customer service? I have to assume most of the good reviews on here are from friends and family, rather than real or satisfied customers.
Quicker faster and better than I thought. The process was quite interesting and cleaned out more dirt and debri than I could have imagined.
Price was very fair no haggling no BS. My issue was with slow running garden drains and their process is perfect in remediating that issue.
Dave and his son provide excellent service at a great price. They relined my clay pipe from my house all the way to the street for 20 percent less than any other bid.
Saving me at least $800 dollars over the other bids received. Dave is approachable, answers all questions, and is the most knowledgeable plumber I have ever met.
He even included a guarantee that is transferrable, one time, to the next homeowner. No one else does this.
Dave and his son are a great team. You will not find a better plumber, price, service, or guarantee.
These guy will beat them all. Got a problem that nobody else can fix? Call Dave.
Got an issue that requires a second opinion? Call Dave. Need someone with decades of experience? Call Dave.
When it comes to a trade like plumbing, the average person can be fooled by windy explanations of a confusing system and its potential failures. As well, the distress that accompanies plumbing problems can overwhelm most homeowners.
When these situations happen you HAVE to be dealing with the facts, presented by someone trustworthy and solid in their understanding of the system. Dave is that guy and more.
He camera scoped the drains last week on a service call for a chronic issue that has caused so much headache it's gross. His equipment was top of the line and his recommendations were easily understood and sound.
All of which had different price ranges which is always appreciated. He's down to earth, very quick witted, kind, professional, & knows his industry very well but don't expect a hug.
Expect a guy naturally in high demand who wants to fix your issue and get to the next one. Bottom line is the next time I need a problem fixed or a question answered with assurance and without hesitation I will be calling Dave.
Call Dave! Dave came right over after calling for a second opinion on a drain pipe problem. He's a straight shooter and tells it like it is.
Gave us some tips to save thousands of dollars. He was looking out for our best interest and pocket book.
We will definitely call him for any future needs. I found this company through Yelp and the Neighbor to Neighbor website.
It took a while to understand exactly what his business is and why some people were upset that he wouldn't help them with drain clearing. Thats not what he does though lots of people do and there are lots of options available.
His skill set is much more comprehensive and he evaluates your entire drainage system. We were having consistent backups even though we tried drain clearing frequently.
Dave came out to our house with a helper and they both spent several hours videotaping our lateral and marking its location on the lawn as it progressed to the mainline. He did end up jetting our line as part of the process bc otherwise he couldn't put a camera through.
He diagnosed several issues and gave us a menu of different options to fix . He did not charge us for the visit though he gave us a usb w a video of our sewer line and he and his assistant were at my house for severl hours.
He made it clear that now we know the problem we could get someone else to fix it if we wanted. I felt he was very honest and felt guilty that he wouldn't let us pay for his visit (FYI I don't think one should automatically assume no charge for this service, it was in my circumstances but venture that is not his typical business practice).
Anyway, it took us a while to decide what to do. We contracted him for the less expensive alternative.
Dave came out and took care of the work. It ended up being a lot more time than he anticipated bc of our older house and difficult soil and I volunteered to pay him accordingly but he would have kept to his estimate.
He has a lot of knowledge and was very honest and did a great job. As an aside, he also told me that when ppl call him with a referral from on-line sources he gets charged a referral fee if the call lasts longer than 30 seconds.
That's why he tries to quickly evaluate what the customer wants and may appear rude or abrupt when he would like to end the call before the 30 second threshold if its just a roto-rooter. Don't waste your time with this contractor.
He comes off very rude and demeaning and has no people skills. The high yelp rating is obviously due to friends and family.
Thanks for the recommendation Dave, I will go to the Pennysaver and I'm sure none of them will be as rude as you. Any by the way, being a "contractor" isn't so special...
There are many contractors that have people skills that your profession requires. After calling asking roto rooter come out and give us an estimate we were taken back by the cost of fixing our sewer line.
We decided to look for another plumber. After reading reviews we gave Dave a call and were EXTREMELY happy we did.
His honesty and prices saved us over $10,000. If this experience has taught us one thing it's not to trust big name plumber companies.
Rather than replacing the entire sewer system Dave suggested to hydrojett the line and now we are problem free! HIGHLY recommend. Had Dave camera a line back in October and he agreed to send the video through the mail.
Long story short, I didn't hear back for weeks until I called him. He confirmed mailing it on 3 different occasions in November and December but I didn't receive it.
Then when I called him to ask what was the issue he confirmed he never mailed the video, but agreed to meet me on-site and re-camera the line for free. When I met him on-site he was pretty gruff and unprofessional.
I would be giving 1 or 2 stars, but he ended up doing the work for free to accommodate all the previous mix ups, which is good at least. I will not ever use again, but I gather from all the other positive reviews that I am the black swan who just happened to have the bad experience, and that normally he might be nicer/more responsive to his other customers.
Dave was a pleasure to work with. He came out to our home (on time, every time - I was impressed!) and ran a camera down our line free of charge (others quoted me $100-350 just to come out and look).
We had several issues, all of which Dave took the time to clearly explain. Not only was Dave's quote up to 40% lower than the other two companies who came out, he was also doing a more comprehensive job.
The other bids I received planned to only line the portion that was cracked, whereas Dave lined all the way from home to sewer (~30 ft more). He also installed a new two way clean out and removed our original clean out that the previous owners had set in the center of our courtyard.
In addition to the above, Dave originally quoted us for 10' less of lining (accidentally forgot to include the distance from the new clean out in our quote). He honored his original quote regardless AND rodded out a blockage we had in our kitchen/laundry line no cost.
I've had pretty hit or miss luck with jobs at my house - I'm so used to things going wrong if someone is not hovering over their shoulder and constantly checking in to make sure everything is being done appropriately. With Dave, I felt very confident in his abilities and by the 2nd day was trying my best to just let him do his thing, though I continued to check in out of general interest (and old habit...sorry Dave!).
Based off my first experience with SewerTV and Dave, I'd be glad to work with him again in the future. Dave did a great job! We had a sewer backup due to a clogged main sewer line.
He inspected and gave us the options and a good price, he was more thorough than the others who inspected. Once he got into the job, he found another issue that no one else had seen either and took care of it, no extra charge! I called SewerTV as drain flies were spotted in various areas in a residential building and I was concerned there was a pipe leak.
Dave, the owner, came and checked the property. He said the problem was very common and suggested some simple home solutions to get rid of the flies.
He was very knowledgeable and did not charge for a service call even though he did evaluate the issue and no work was needed. I would highly recommend Dave and use him again for any plumbing issues.
Excellent customer service! Dave and his son are honest and know their job. If I get in over my head I can rely on these guys.
I had to "pick his brain" after they left and he was ok with it. My tenants have your number if i am unavailable.
Armen Bagdasarian. Just knowing that is a huge relief Dave rocks he know just why to do and doesn't oversell.
He has all the equipment to diagnose and is straight to the point. 5 stars for the honesty and integrity! We hired a plumber to snake our stopped-up shower drain, but less than a month later, it was completely stopped up again.
We decided to take things to the next level and called Dave at Sewer TV. He and his son came out on a Saturday and spent three hours working on the drain.
They snaked from the trap and restored flow (like the other plumber had done), but they felt that something wasn't quite right, so they kept going. They used their camera to inspect the entire line.
They climbed the roof and snaked through the vent. Then they used their powerful truck to hydrojet everything.
I was thrilled at how thorough they were, but at the same time I was worried they were going to charge a ton of money. When all was said and done, though, they didn't ask for any payment.
They told us that the job was on the house for a loyal customer. (They had relined our main sewer line 6 months earlier.) I could not be more impressed with the quality of their work and the extent of their generosity.
Dave is the best at what he does. He has all the high end tools.
With his knowledge and equipment he saved me 3 thousand dollars (other quoted plumbers had to break ground and Dave did not). Dave showed up 5 minutes early and works until the job is done.
I recently met with several plumbers - which were actually sales reps with no technical experience - from several plumbing companies to inspect my house's sewer line. All of them urged me to immediately address the age of the sewer line by relining or replacing the pipe (which would require trenching through the entire house and gutting the bathrooms and kitchen).
After getting the sense that I was being duped, I called Dave at SewerTV. After scoping the sewer line (which had just been hydrojetted the day before), he showed me how and why the prior plumber performed the work carelessly and ineffectively.
He made very good rational sense of the suggested action plan and he suggested we try a couple of options before jumping to the most extreme scenario. He is a no-nonsense kind of guy with true expertise in sewer lines.
He does not "up-sell" you at every opportunity and does everything in his power to minimize costs for his customers by recommending the most effective and least invasive option. Hard to believe since this is counter to his personal interests (i.e.
the least profitable way to conduct business). Dave's honesty and ethical conduct is a VERY rare find in the plumbing world.
I strongly suggest that Dave be your first and last call. Dave was super helpful over the phone to evaluate what I needed to do next for my root-filled drainage system.
He seemed honest and super knowledgeable and willing to share easier solutions without recommending the most expensive option. He understands the customer point of view.
I'd definitely give him a call if you need his services. During renovation process of my home (built in 1895, Fullerton), my contractors excavated a very old sewer line that was running from the neighbor's house though my property.
The inspector from city of Fullerton stopped construction job and requested the sewer line to be replaced, redirected and to be brought up to a new building code. My neighbor and me agreed to hire SewerTV, Dave to take care of this issue.
Dave was absolutely amazing! Besides the fact that his price was the lowest compare to the other quotes we received, Dave also has a very strong work ethic. He was prompt, honest, knowledgeable and extremely caring.
To meet my time frame, he started the job right away and completed it perfectly just in two days. I had some issues understanding the code requirements from the city and called Dave for help.
Dave took his personal time and went to the city to clarify my questions; and just within two hours called me with clear explanations what the city requires. He went far and beyond to help! Professionals like Dave are REALY hard to find.
I would give 10 starts for Dave from SewerTV service if I could! I am very satisfied with the service I received and highly recommend SewerTV to anyone looking to have plumbing work done! House was built in 1960. I had been told by rooter router type company that I had some problems with the main line.
Called to get someone out to run a camera along the pipe. Wanted $350.00 to come out and look at it.
Called Dave at Sewer TV and he came out the next day and used a very sophisticated camera set up to show me foot by foot the problems I had in my main line. Some roots had broken, some minor cracking and a few other problems.
Pointed out that because one bath room was an add on we actually had three different types pipe in the main line. Gave me a lot of information on what my options were and what I could expect in the future.
Bottom line, he said it was not critical to do anything right now. Gave me an estimate on what it would cost me to fix it and said if I get tired of having it back up every year of so give him a call and he would do the work.
This was all at no charge. Dave knows his business.
Is not looking for a quick buck and will give you all the information to make a decision. He will get me business when it comes time to make the perminate fix.
dave is a great guy and took care of my issues immediately was very friendly and courteous. i really appreciate his focus and knowledge and if you need a hydro jet guy, this is your man!! LOOK NO MORE!!! Dave and Crew Honest, Trustworthy, and Reliable! I want to know what's going on and tell me the options! Here it is in a nutshell.
Good with that.... I would highly recommend SewerTV.
Call Dave and get the real Smitty. Dave might be a little cocky? But he's just telling you how it is.
Direct and to the Point? He is not a salesman and he is not a customer service guy setting at a desk in an office. After he has saves you thousands of dollars from work that did not need to be done, like he has us.
You will never call anyone else. We were stoked to have him do the work and so glad we found him.
To be frank about it we were stuck and no way, had the money to spend 3 times the cost of doing what the other guys were bidding and saying we had to do! Thanks Dave keep up the good work... I called Dave for him to address a clogged backyard and gutter drainage system.
He arrived as scheduled and tried to jet the problem, but with his camera and jet it was determined that the system, as installed by the prior owner, was badly constructed and the real clog could not be located. After an hour of trying he recommended that the offending construction be replaced.
He provided an estimate of cost and a time frame. I called later that day and schedule him to come out and make the repair.
Again he showed up as promised and began addressing the issue. The Job took 1 1/2 days to complete and now the offending (poor original installation) has been replace with a more straight forward system that can be cleaned out on a regular basis.
I have a rental house with constant dranage backup problems, 3 times within a year. I have various plumber look at it and the last one give me a quote of $10K to repipe.
I have Dave of SewerTV give me another quote and is willing to try his method of relining. He did a veru satified installation with minimium interruotion and acted very professionally with my tenant.
I highly recomended his services and he also saved me momey. Richard Call Dave first, call Dave last, just as long as you call Dave.
He's a walking, talking encyclopedia of sewer technology and history. His prices are right and he works fast so he can move on and rescue the the next person who's up to their ankles in doodoo.
In our case, his price was very competitive. The kicker was that he broke up the job into the gotta-do-it-now portion and the this-part-can-wait portion, which was even more helpful on the budget.
I like having "a guy" when it comes to services like this. Now "I got a guy" when it comes to sewer.
Thanks, Dave. Talked to Dave today about a shower drain problem for about 20 minutes and he gave many fixes to my problem that I could do myself.
Very professional and very knowledgeable. Would recommend Dave to anyone with plumbing problems.
Dave is amazing, I was referred to him by a family Friend. Extremely knowledgeable.
He showed up on time and followed up with me. Thank you Sewer TV I am writing this review because of my sister.
Her husband is a disabled vet and she was told by another contractor that she had a problem that would cost her thousands to repair. She called to tell me that this man named Dave came out, told her that he didn't think it was what they told her it was.
He then proceeded to tell her that he would find out and fix it for her... Then he told her that he wanted to 'give back'...and he wouldn't charge her for the work.
She protested and he insisted that this was something personal he wanted to do. Through her tears she allowed him to do the job...A job that took him and two others seven hours to complete.
My sister doesn't use a computer..both she and her husband are disabled.which is why I am writing this review...because I was so amazed that there are such wonderful people in this world. Dave is the best period.
He's there right on time (actually way before!) and he is simply the best at knowing what to do. He is not one of these Rotoripoff companies...difference is he's a pro.
I wouldn't dream of getting anyone else. Don't waste your time calling the others.
This is the only guy to use. Just outstanding! This was such a horrible experience! We hope to never have one like this again in our life! We were having plumbing drainage problems.
Called several plumbers with cameras and they said there was a hole in one of the lines. Read the reviews and called Dave to come and check it out.
He said let me run my $20,000 NASA camera. As he was talking and running the camera through the line he said..."I hate all these plumbers that try to rip you off...
there is no hole." So he said you have old pipes and all it needs is hydrojetting the lines and your plumbing problems will be over. He said the cost would be $4500.
So a few months later I called and said I wanted him to come do the work. He said he had forgotten exactly what it was.
He had to come back and refresh his memory. He said...Oh, I remember now, you are the wife of Clyde Wright the former MLB Angel player.
He came back out and brought his partner...and as he stood there looking at the job...his partner starting going into this speech about how now for this job he would add this and that and it would be $18,000 while Dave looked on and didn't say anything. Clyde and I stood there and couldn't believe it! Once I think he knew it was Clyde that they could really rip us off!! That should of been a red flag for us...but I trusted Dave (such a bad call on my part) and I said to do what he originally said would fix all my plumbing problems.
So he did that and I paid him the $4,500 Within the next few days my patio was flooding, my sink and bathtub were backing up. I called him to ask what the heck was going on! He came out to check it out and it turns out he never checked the smaller sewer line that "really" did have the hole in it and the hydrojetting pressure was the final straw for that line and broke it!!! What incompetence!!! He had even admitted to being careless about not checking the other lines.
BUT... He refused to do anything about it...saying it wasn't his fault!!! I wonder who's fault it is Dave????So now we am back to square one and because of Dave this won't be cheap!!! I had 60 feet of pipe relined by Dave.
He came in a did a camera inspection and even recorded a video for me. The relining went as he described it would and he took another recording after the job was complete for me as well.
He followed up a few weeks later to see if I was still happy with the job. It's only been about 1 month since the lining was complete, so only time will tell if the root problems are a thing of the past, but the product seems like it'll hold up (he gave me a piece of the product he lines with, it seems durable.) He was significantly cheaper than the next bid, who was also a relining specialist.
My wife and I have used Dave at Sewer TV twice now ... once for a home inspection and another time for a short notice emergency dealing with a back-up issue.
In the middle we used a well-known commercial company, we were ripped-off and the issue was not resolved. Dave is trustworthy, reliable and a straight shooter.
I highly recommend Sewer TV services and will for sure be using his services in the future. We had Dave and his crew to line our main sewer line with epoxy.
He was on time. His estimate was competitive.
He and his crew did a fine job in a reasonable time. He and his team were very professional.
We had a blockage 6 months later. We called him and he came and took care of it on Sunday (same day) with a very professional attitude.
I recommend him to everyone. So, let the bashing begin.
A little back story first. On Christmas Day my shi##er's full.
Christmas Vacation full. No joke.
Bubbling toilets. We called Rescue Router to save the day.
We got a pissed off plumber at our door and and a bill for almost $350 to have it snaked. About ten days later we had to call them out again because the toilets were bubbling again.
Free of charge this time and even got a camera sent do the sewer. Our lucky day, tree roots had broke through a section of the main sewer.
Wicker basket tree roots. Rescue Router quoted me about $4000 to dig up the section and repair it, $9100 to reline it.
I wanted a few more bids so I called Router Alert. I've used them before.
They seem like good guys. The guy on the phone said in order get a quote I need to have a camera run down the sewer again even though I already did.
He conned me into buying an Angie's List coupon for $99. There website says free estimates.
So much for that. Router Alert came out 6 hours late to run the camera down the sewer.
The saw what we saw before, the same thing I told them and then they gave me a quote of $8200 for the reline. Both companies promised to meet any other companies quote.
Right. Then I call Dave at Sewer TV.
Dave gave me a quote right over the phone. No BS.
Dave was both knowledgable and personable. Ok, he's a character.
But he really is one of the good guys. Dave came out the day before the reline was scheduled and ran his camera all through my sewer, no charge! Did you hear that Router Alert! He explained the process and what we were up against.
Roots, roots, roots, broken section of clay and more roots, roots, roots. The following day Dave and the crew from Sewer TV arrived on time and got to work.
It only took one day. Lifetime warranty on the reline too.
Dave kept to his original quote even though there was a little more to the job. He was about $3000 less then my lowest quote from you know who.
Dave is very knowledgable and a straight shooter, unlike those other guys. Do yourself a favor, if you need a plumber, just call Dave.
Save yourself some time and money. Now I can say "My shi##er was full." Dave is a no-nonsense guy and many may get easily offended by his gruff demeanor.
But, c'mon people, get over it. Once you do, you'll never find a more honest, skilled, and reliable plumber as Dave.
He ran a camera through our sewer, saw that it wasn't something that could be repaired via a trenchless solution, and gave us a lot of useful recommendations...all free of charge. You want a plumber that will make you feel nice & fuzzy but will take every last penny you have, look elsewhere.
Hi, Dave was very knowledgeable and pro-active in his approach to finding a solution to a plumbing problem. I would use his services again.
We had major issues with our pipes underneath our house and had the job bid out by two other plumbing companies who wanted to charge us an arm and a leg to replace the pipes. Dave and his team came out and recommended relining half the pipes and cleaning the other ones out.
He also installed two cleanout drains. The job was completed at a fraction of the cost of getting new pipes and saved us from pulling up our floors! We would recommend Dave and his crew to anyone with a similar problem.
He was very efficient and timely! Dave was terrific. He gave me lots of practical advice and strategies to keep my pipes in shape.
This is an old house with many additions through the years. He also found some areas of concern that will help me budget for the future.
I am very appreciative for his advice and saving me money. His camera look showed me exactly where the trouble was.
Friendly and nice!'''.
