Review and analyze now for company Village Plumbing, Air & Electric and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Any time I have called, including a day after a hurricane, Village Plumbing is available to assist me. Their technicians are always polite and considerate while offering you great service.
Jesse Crawford installed my smart thermostat today following a thorough review of the entire HVAC system. Great diagnosis.
I recently had an experience with Village Plumbing that I felt needed sharing, particularly concerning their scheduling and availability of technicians. While the initial process of booking an appointment seemed smooth and straightforward, the actual outcome was disappointing.
I made an appointment in advance, expecting the company to uphold its promise of providing service at the arranged time. However, when the scheduled day came, I was informed that all their technicians were already booked, leaving me without service despite planning ahead.
This not only caused a delay as I had to reach out to another plumbing company but also showed a lack of coordination on their part. It's essential for companies to manage their scheduling systems effectively and ensure they have the capacity to honor appointments.
Overbooking or double-booking reflects poorly on their reliability and customer service standards. If a company can't deliver services as promised even with an appointment, it leads to frustration and a loss of trust from customers.
Overall, while Village Plumbing might have other strengths, their current scheduling system and lack of technician availability are areas that require significant improvement to meet customer expectations. Village plumbing came to our rescue to attend to a minor plumbing emergency while we were out of the country.
They replied in a very quick fashion. Sent a plumber the very next day who understood the situation.
He capped off the valve and even offered to come back after the reconstruction phase to reconnect the sink's plumbing. Price was definitely more reasonable than majority of all the other quotes we received.
Would highly recommend village plumbing. Their technician, Levy was very professional, prompt, and helpful.
All aspects and needs of my home's system were were explained and illustrated with photos. Save your money - go elsewhere.
I was a Village customer for several years but lately their prices are exorbitant. Everyone deserves to be fairly compensated for their work, but they charged me $700 to clear a condensate line and install a plastic valve, and this on a system they installed 6 years ago.
It took the technician about an hour to do this work. When I called to discuss the invoice they blew me off - I had to call back 3 times.
I cannot afford to be their customer any longer. Any time I have called, Village Plumbing is available to assist.
We had Travis Metler arrive as out technician. He was polite, funny, and considerate.
He told my dad that he had calcium deposits in the drain that was causing a clogging issue. He went to work swiftly after arriving on time.
He completed the work, gave my dad a discount ( senior citizen) and that was it. These guys are awesome! The tech that did my work was friendly, professional and helpful, but at the end of the day, the initial quote they provided me was outrageous.
Almost $1900 to install two toilets I was supplying is robbery. When I questioned this rate, the tech was able to call someone and get the price down to $1220, which is still high in my opinion for two toilet installations that took less than 2 hours.
As a comparison, Home Depot charges $185-$400 for toilet installs depending on the complexity and requirements. Again, the tech was great, this review is not bad because of him.
This review is negative because of the initial insane price and the reduced still bonkers price to install two toilets. I had Village replace my gas line.
They were very expensive ($20,000) but, shame on me, I took it when they told me how careful they would be digging the trench. This was not true.
They broke multiple sprinkler lines and accent lighting wires. After they said don't worry we'll fix them, they blocked my phone line from calling.
Be warned! Called them out to checkout my French drain. After a simple camera, they told me a jet setter treatment was needed to flush out the pipe.
Been here before and it's exactly what I expected. Then they quote me $1300!!! For JUST jetting it.
Absolutely bonkers. If you're totally green on all this stuff and call out VP they will hose you!! I called Halo Plumbing and got the jetting for $350.
Buyer Beware! They DO NOT keep their word on appointments!!! Called at 4pm for a leak in attic and was told they would be out within a few hours. Called 2 more times to confirm bc we had no water and was still told they would be out but now they would have to charge an after hours charge because it would be after 8pm.
I told them that is incorrect due to me calling them at 4pm not 8pm!! Needless to say they NEVER called or showed up!!! RIDICULOUS!! If I could give NO stars, I would. I had a negative experience with this company and walked away from a paid in full yearly maintenance contract because the reps proved extremely untrustworthy.
They provided an estimate and did not do all the work in the estimate, but did not change the amount of the invoice. The technician used fear tactics to recommended work that was not substantiated by a second opInion.
In the end they charged for things I did not receive, did a poor job and I ended up paying someone else to repair the mess they left. Management was unresponsive.
I will not allow them back into my house. I do not trust this company.
Have used for several years but have become increasingly dissatisfied with this company. They used to be good, on time and accurate.
Since June 30th they have been non-responsive and not keeping appointments. Called at 10:30 this morning with an issue, they stated they would list as 'before noon' since they haven't followed up since not showing on July 19th (for air) and July 17th and today (for plumbing).
It's now 4:30 and I'm being told I will get a call from Joel within a half hour from 4:16 (my last call). This is after having spoken to Karen, Isabella, and another young lady.
How is this courteous? Respectful? Or excellent customer care? 4:32 just got a call...we are having to update them on their cancellations...and the indoor temp reads at 96+...the nice young lady (Haley) is now going to contact Joel, who was supposed to be coming or calling earlier today. Now Joel says they can't service the same unit they have serviced multiple times...one month later...Haley offered to get us a good referral when they have left us hanging in excessive heat warnings for 5 weeks.
Let that sink in. Yes, I'm frustrated.
This has been over a month with a previously reliable company... Not worth the money.
Right now, no value for our yearly program...no value at all. We have no air Plumbing still unaddressed Wanted a simple tune up and cleaning.
The technician insisted on a 30 minute rendition of $6000 worth of repairs ,, and never even did the regular maintenance. Some service professionals attempt to take advantage of senior citizens, and I think Village attempted to do the same.
DO NOT use Village Plumbing, rip off company they add thing to the bill calling It Annual Partner Plan, right, try to grt the money back on the Partner Plan you did not ask for, not happening they tell you, they gave you discounts so you Now owe them money for the discounts, sure right. I see It as the only way they stay In business Is new victims, the other people who used them will never use them again.
So If you want to be treated like dirt and taked down to use them, I never will and I will make sure to let everyone I know not to. DO NOT DO NOT use them.
Sorry they don't have a O review. Neal, the tech gave us the quote originally and he was the one to came out and got the job done.
It was sublime. We thank the company and Neal both.
The entire experience with Village Plumbing was easy, reliable, and fair. We would recommend them to all people we know that have needs.
Do not schedule an appointment! They canceled last minute on Friday and Monday holiday. Receptionist blamed it on the winter storm as of all of Houston had not heard that a storm was coming.
Hello! We saw it on TV, heard it on the radio and read it in the PAPER! She told me I had enough time to call another plumber and when I asked for a recommendation she said she did not have one! Do not waste your time on a company like that! Do yourself a favor get three quotes. Do not call all the big names who advertise on TV.
You will find most of their quotes are three times as much as they should be. I will never attempt to use Village Plumbing again.
11/2023 I need a AC inspection of my new home and was able to schedule an appointment with them the same week. Moises is super knowledgeable and patient.
He collaborated with their office team to verify the years of my AC and gave me a detail walkthrough of their VPP membership plan. He noticed the AC doesn't have enough refrigerant and helped me added.
Highly recommend getting a monthly (14.99/29.99)or annual (149/299)membership to take care of both HVAC and plumbing inspections year round. You also get 10-15% discount for later work if you are a member.
This place only hires salesmen and not technicians. They sent "Skylar" to my home to fix a A/C water leak.
He said my entire system was bad and needed a new system. This guy is only concerned about his commissions by billing me for a membership that I already had.
Plus he claimed I was low on coolant which I doubt now. Total charge was $850 and he never fixed the leak.I called another A/C company which replaced the drain pan and a water drain pipe for $1800 dollars instead of charging me $16000 for a new system.
The response I received from the team of professionals recently was phenomenal. Their teamwork was great & I want to mention three professionals who went over and above in making sure the job was done correctly and that I was pleased with what was done.
They are Scott Gomez, Damon Griffith, and Harley Davis. There were others who also made my experience great, but I was negligent and didn't make note of their names.
I am sorry for that, but all of the employees of Village Plumbing and Air should be proud to work for such a great company. Very rude and ineffective appointment making for consult.
I think they are unprofessional and not to be trusted on my property and with my home. First they sent me a text with the wrong day and no time listed, then I asked them to resend still, but they did still with no time.
I told them nevermind to cancel because this is a foreshadowing of how they run their business The rude childish response back was ridiculous!! Don't trust them!! Dennis & Leo were the kindest guys! Seriously- they were probably the nicest repairmen I have ever worked with and soooo fast!!!! Thank you to this dynamic duo for changing out my hot water heater in less than 3 hours start to finish! 5 stars!! I called Village Plumbing and Air early morning and had two technicians at my home the same morning. Skylar and Levi listened to everything that was going wrong with my current HVAC system, and took the system apart to do many tests and readings to see what was happening with it.
They showed me the parts that had gone bad and what was leaking. Since there were multiple repairs needed, they called the project manager, Allan to go over all my options (repairs vs new units).
Since my system was over 10 years old, I choice to go with a new one. I really appreciated the nice service from these employees and highly recommend this company.
If I could leave zero stars I would. Do not use this company!!! We had a break in our sewage line and were told we absolutely had to replace it.
First of all, the guy told us to "not worry if the guys that come look like they came from Home Depot" (I'm an idiot and expected them to have Home Depot shirts on, didn't realize he was just being racist). I could not regret hiring them more.
They cut 50% of our tree's root despite specifically telling us they wouldn't. When we tried to address our concerns, RJ told us that that we were overreacting and the tree was fine.
We had an arborist come out who confirmed that was not the case - ONLY THEN did they acknowledge there was anything wrong with what they did (picture attached). I understand these things happen, but don't tell the homeowners they are overreacting.
They tore up our yard (pictures below). They ruined sprinkler heads.
They placed the clean out IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YARD (previously at the the side of the house hidden). When we asked them to fix it, we were met with continued excuses.
We have to hire someone to fix their mess on top of the cost to fix the line. They filed 3 permits with the city, only one of which was needed.
The other two were for inside plumbing fixtures. The city inspector reported that he has seen that done before as a way to charge the customer more and use those permits elsewhere.
Please. If anything positive comes of this experience, let it be this review preventing someone else from having to deal with a similar situation.
Available to show up immediately to address a minor drain link in our master bathtub. Did not try to oversell us on anything, accessed the leak thru the access panel and replaced the hardware that was causing the drip.
All in was only $200, very happy we didn't have a major repair! Will be using them again. Would leave ZERO stars if that was an option.
Called early in the morning and they gave me a same day afternoon appointment. Technician was supposed to call 45 minutes before the appointment.
I never received a call from the technician and no one from their office called me to cancel. So now i have to go another day with my sink issue and rearrange another day at work to accommodate getting a plumber to my home.
They tried to sell me a maintenance agreement, when i declined I guess they weren't interested in doing the work Do yourself a favor and don't call these folks! their communication sucks!! I should have read the reviews before booking, don't make the same mistake! the reviews are correct, they are horrible! I rarely post a review but am doing so so that folks don't get taken for a ride. I requested a water heater repair service call and got a sales call instead.
The moment the tech came to my house, he was positioning for a sale of a new water heater. My heater is about 12 years and without even taking a look at what might be causing an issue with its functioning, the tech starts concluding that we will likely need a new water heater.
He spends the next 20 mins wasting my time with a litany of things that might be wrong and ends up quoting $800 for potential repair and $8000 for a new tankless water heater. Village walks away with their service fee for pretty much giving me the above quotes.
I get another plumber to come and do a thorough cleaning of the water heater and lo and behold it starts working just fine. Cost me $200.
I imagine the incentives are just not aligned to service but to sell. So, customers do beware.
Please BEWARE, we purchased a home filtration system ($10k) from Village Plumbing approximately two years ago. We purchased this secondary to wanting to avoid hard water stains on our appliances as our shower stream decreased significantly.
When asked what maintenance the home filtration system needed, the plumber indicated....nothing. We also didn't ever receive a manual for the system.
When our shower stream again started to decrease, we called Village again. The plumber they sent was great, but was unable to help us with customer service concerns....the filter which should be changed was BLACK.
He indicated we needed to call customer care and a manager would call back in 24 hours but he HAD to take payment. We've now called SIX times...each time with the promise that a manager would return our call.
We STILL have not received a call from a manager OR received any monetary return. VILLAGE PLUMBING & AIR....you need to take responsibility for poor customer service TODAY! Had two mixed experiences with this company.
First time my AC went out without warning. They figured it was a capacitor issue and replaced the capacitor - albeit with a very high upcharge (my home warranty company was shocked they were charging me $400 just to replace a capacitor).
Additionally, they were very late to the appointment - although I couldn't blame the tech for doing a thorough job with the previous client, I didn't have anyone come until 4 hours after my appointment window. The second time, my AC drain line apparently became clogged and tripped my float switch.
They sent out a tech to snake the line, but again with a very high charge of more than $250. They didn't offer a warranty for the service.
Well about a month after that service, the drain line clogged again and I ended up having to hire another company to do it again (it's now lasted 9 months without issue). All in all, I had two mixed experiences, and get the sense that the company seems to be more focused on making money than solving issues.
The only plus is that they are available at nearly all times, but based on the low quality and high cost of their services I would not recommend for AC issues NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE - should be ZERO stars. My elderly mother who lives alone has used Village Plumbing and Air for several years.
She doesn't know anything about her AC system and trusted these jokers. We have an issue now with a clogged condensate line which is extremely common.
After calling them to come out and getting charged $79 for doing nothing to fix the problem, WE (we live in another state so aren't here normally) went up into the attic and traced the condensate line to the vent stack. These clowns have rigged her condensate line into the vent stack for her house plumbing system!! And even if they did not do the actually plumbing of the condensate line originally (again we don't live here) they ABSOLUTELY should have seen this over the years and told my mother.
Again they have serviced the system and "FIXED" things over the years. What a waste of money! They are doing this to elderly people to boot.
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Today a very knowledgeable and friendly technician was her for my Spring Air check and noticed my UV light was out.
The work he performed was outstanding and thorough. His name is Skylar.
I will ask for him to come when needed. I recommend this company Hans Hagedorn I've been using them over 3 years on the membership plan.
I appreciate the wellness checks, advice, photos, estimates and recommendations. Today I had an excellent consultation with Javier regarding some changes that could be made to my second level tub.
Last week I had my HVAC wellness check and we agreed to continue to preserve my outside unit by adding a hard start kit. Five stars for the plumber/technician.
One star for the company. The tech did an awesome job of unclogging a shower drain that another plumber said couldn't be unclogged.
However, the prices they quoted for many of the small issues that needed fixing were out of sync with the parts and amount of time required; hundreds of dollars for repairs that would take just a few minutes and less than $20 in materials. Therefore, I decided only to have the shower drain unclogged.
Do not use Village Plumbing. My experience with this company was terrible.
When there was a problem, I had to leave message and no one responses. During this period in my life, relationships are important.
It seems this company has no interest in responding to the little man. Use them at your own risk! I simply don't want others to be taken by Village Plumbing.
Recently I had the misfortune of having Village Plumbing out to inspect my HVAC system. My house is 3 years old.
I have owned it for a year and just wanted to make sure it was ready for winter. As far as I knew the HVAC system was working perfectly.
The technician arrived and started the inspection. $100 and 5 hours later of inspecting my 2500 sq foot town home, the technician had a list of problems.
The technician stated that the condenser was pulling 16 amps. He stated that was way to high.
He said if it continues, I was at risk of the condenser going out. He continued that if the condenser goes out, it would be much more expensive than if I were to replace it before it goes out.
He stated that the high Amps was due to a faulty valve in the condenser, and it needed to be replaced. He also stated that the blower motor sounded like it was about to go out.
He gave me a quote of $1800.00. I was shocked that my new house was already having problems.
As the anxiety of the impending failure of my system set in, I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to come up with the money. He stressed several times that the repairs needed to happen right away.
He told me he would locate the parts, then tell me how soon he could come back for the repairs. ?The next day I received a call from the technician.
He stated that the valve was on back order. It would not be in for at least 2 weeks.
He also stated that, and I quote "By my calculations your system will fail in the next two weeks. And if the repairs are not done before that it will be more expensive.
If the condenser goes out it will blow black dust into the system." He said that he could get a whole new condenser that would include a valve right away. The estimate then went from $1800 to $2500.
I was furious at this point. I told him to order the valve and I would take my chances.
He replied with "I am going to get our customer care team on the line so they can go over a whole system replacement. We should replace everything except the duct work.
"That was a huge red flag. I told him I would think about it and call him back.
?My anxiety at this point was at an all time high. I was worried that my system was about to go out during the hottest parts of the year.
I was worried about how to come up with the cash. I decided to get a second opinion from another company before any final decisions were made.
The other company came out and did their inspection. One hour later and another $100, I was informed that my HVAC system was not only working perfectly fine, but was one of the better systems this technician had seen in his 15 yrs.
I was told not to worry about replacing anything unless there is a problem. To make things worse, when I called to complain I was sent to a voice mail for Bryan Jackson.
Apparently, he is the supervisor of my technician. After many attempts my voicemails were never returned.
?To sum it up avoid Village Plumbing like the plague. Since my experience several of my friends have come forward with horror stories of their own.
If I could give them a negative rating, I would. Plumbing requires a lot of trust and I would not rate this as a trustworthy company.
The technicians are nice, that's not the issue. The issue is the company SEVERELY overcharging for their services and wasting your time because they initially send out technicians and not plumbers.
I had a tank-to-bowl gasket leak. You could flush the toilet and see that was the exact problem.
Technician comes in and didn't even inspect the toilet before quoting $550 for a "major tank rebuild" because he said the company policy is to not replace the parts that need it, but instead just charge you for a whole new product. That's almost 5x the price of a new toilet from this brand, but just to fix half of it? Then they only carried Toto toilets and wouldn't install any other brand.
Gave me a quote for $1200 to install a whole new $200-$300 Toto toilet, but if I went with that they'd have to reschedule to actually install it because an actual plumber would have to come out for that even though I was paying a service fee for what I thought was a plumber to come out. It was a $7 part to fix my problem and they tried to squeeze $550-$1200 out of me for it? I would never trust this company's estimates or recommend it to any of my family/friends.
To the owner, it's nice you have spiffy vans and uniforms, but price gouging is not how you cover your own overhead. Honest pricing goes a lot further in retaining repeat customers.
We bought a new AC system from village plumbing and they have been great. Levy Pedraza and Alan Rodr
