I called in the morning and dealt with a bit of an attitude to get the appointment made, but was desperate and assumed that since a reputable company recommended them the in-person service would be kinder. Two plumbers came out to figure out why my bathtub wasn't running hot water - turned out the screw was loose in the handle.

Three turns of a screwdriver and they turned around and handed me a bill for $169 dollars. The technician then told me that if they'd just "diagnosed" the problem (i.e.

told me to turn the screwdriver) then they wouldn't have had to charge for "fixing" the problem. Pissed beyond measure, and will never be using this company again Had a mainline drain clog after moving into home I've been renting for years.

Called GAP Plumbing and they responded quickly and cleaned the main line and were very reasonable on cost. 3 days later, drain issue when ran upstairs shower that caused downstairs toilet to overflow.

They came back and had to pull the toilet to clean out the clog. Very professional, friendly, and worked hard to take care of the issue! I will definitely use GAP Plumbing for any future plumbing needs! Used Les Conn years ago, but they were expensive and then a couple of years ago as landlord living in CA, they would not provide service since I was not on the property.

Horrible customer service. I rely on yelp for reviews, but don't often write them, but wanted to share my positive experience about GAP for those in need of a good plumbing service! For starters, I always conduct a large amount of research prior to selecting a product and/or a company to work with.

Selecting a company to install my water softener was no different. I contacted GAP Plumbing based upon a large amount of positive reviews with the hopes that my experience would be similar.

The price to install my water softener was fair and I am someone who does not prefer to work with the cheapest guy in town as you get what you pay for in life. I will gladly pay more for quality parts and quality installation.

The day after the initial installation a coupler on the back of the water softener burst and a small section of my garage filled with water. Thankfully I happened to wake at 4am that day and could hear the sound of water gushing from the garage.

After calling into the office they did come out later that day to fix the line. However, I was more than slightly annoyed by the individual I spoke with who informed me that normally they would charge for them to come out again to fix something like this.

Are you kidding me right now? You just installed this product the day before and you have the nerve to inform me that you are doing me a favor by not charging me to come fix your shoddy work? This install happened roughly 20 months ago. I always had a leak from my water softener whenever it would run and it would leave water all over the floor in the garage the next morning.

It was not until I consulted with another plumber who at first glance of the installation and setup bluntly asked me "Did you pay for this?" That was embarrassing. After about 10 minutes of work and him removing the drain line that was installed by GAP Plumbing I no longer have a leak whenever the drain line runs.

But wait...there's more! There is a small crack in the coupler that they installed that they obviously tried to cover over with some white mastic type of material that held up for the last 20 months, but is now leaking slowly all over the floor. I am now waiting on a plumber from a different company to come out and redo everything.

Perhaps water softener installations are not their forte at GAP Plumbing but I would strongly recommend pursuing a different company to work with your plumbing needs. Contacted Gap to fix a toilet that wasn't flushing properly.

The plumbers were here for about 10 mins, I was charged $169.10 ($165.00 for LABOR!) Unfortunately as time went on, we're back to the same problem. I contacted them again, to which they replied "because it was past the 30 day warranty (which I think is ridiculous), I would be charged yet again for parts/labor!" Incredibly disappointing, especially since we've used them for two separate issues.

I will never recommend their services and I will gladly look elsewhere to fix the issue I have with my toilet. UPDATE: I'm happy to say Ms.

Terry contacted me stating Gap Plumbing wanted to resolve my issue. She further stated the matter with the warranty should've been addressed differently.

I hired GAP plumbing to do a whole house remodel. Just like on TV, we found an issue - cast iron pipes.

GAP plumbing replaced all of our pipes including two sewer lines and mainline taps. The effort required considerable communication and organization with our contractor and the city inspectors.

The GAP team kept me and my contractor informed of progress...all with a cheerful attitude. I double-checked their prices and found them to be fair.

The prices were not the cheapest (red flag) but certainly not the most expensive. They did what they said they would do, when they promised to do it.

What more can you ask for? I debated about whether to write a review because I don't want these guys to become so popular that I can't book them in the future. But then I thought about how hard it was to find a decent plumber so I thought I should put my selfishness aside and help everyone out.

Quick, responsive and honest. They provided a quote, honored it and did the job right and in a cost effective manner.

I needed assistance with a closet flange in concrete. Basically, we have an old house that has cast iron pipe and fittings.

I had to remove the toilet to replace the wax ring. The old flange was rusted and would need to be replaced.

Well, they don't make offset retrofit flanges and another cast iron one would have to be leaded in by an expert. I called John and he told me that I could just use a regular replacement retrofit flange and buy a 10 inch rough in toilet and all should be well.

He said if I had an issue with that install, I could call him back and he would come out and look. We will be remodeling our kitchen soon and will need a gas line run, so guess who is getting the job? This place.

John came to our rescue quickly and did the repair on a leaky pipe that was raining in our closet. He gave an accurate estimate before he started, explained things as work progressed, and was just plain pleasant to work with.

The pricing was very reasonable. I had multiple, very tiny gas leaks through a 2 story house and they fixed every single one of them.

The leaks had been there since the house was built (poorly installed lines) and the gas company shut me down when they came to upgrade the meter. No other plumbing company I called wanted to touch the job or wanted to charge an outrageous fee.

Ivan and his team are amazing! After calling ~20 plumbers, I reached Ivan by chance and miracle. He stopped by nearly immediately even in this unprecedented event, without power, and diagnosed my issue quickly.

Charged normal pricing even when he could've asking for extreme and most people would've paid for it. Patiently explained everything and fixed my pipe leak in a matter of minutes.

Ivan and his team are working through the night to get everyone back to normal. His team are courteous, efficient, and treated my home with the upmost respect.

However, he was sending another licensed plumber. Almost 4 hours later, 12:45 PM, the replacement came in.

I know that things happen but Ivan should have called or texted me to let me know he was not going to make it. The person was very nice, respectful and did a good job.

He did not have the app to take credit card payment so I had to pay with a check. He said that Ivan Merino was going to send me the receipt via email.

However, Ivan has ignored my texts requesting the receipt for almost 2 weeks. It is upsetting and a very bad business practice.

I wanted to hire them to do more work but after him not providing a receipt, I cannot have more business with them. I'll try to get the receipt through the BBB or IRS to be able to get this amount reimbursed.

But I do not appreciate this extra work and waste of time. I would not recommend him due to poor business ethics.

New Years Day morning I discovered water leaking from the mains water valve to our house. Checking our water bill this must have been leaking a few days as our bill was huge.

I rang a few plumbing companies, either no answer or expensive quotes due to the holiday. Ivan answered the phone and was my house within 45mins.

He gave me an estimate and got to work straight away. Excellent workmanship, very professional and very reasonably priced - he stayed close to the original quote.

He will now be our "go to" for any issues we have at our property in the future. All work is under warranty for 1 year.

I highly recommend Ivan and his team. While unclogging a pipe from the garbage disposal they got water into the electrical outlet which damaged the outlet.

They tried to replace outlet but rewired it poorly such that adjacent outlets failed to work. Fortunately they didn't charge for unclogging the pipe since they damaged the electric but I had to hire an electrician to rewire it properly.
