I was lucky enough to catch him before his move to Texas. I called one afternoon and spoke with someone who took my info and said Dave would give me a call within 15 minutes.

He did indeed and must have sensed my frustration with what had become known as the plumbing twilight zone at my house. I was stoked he agreed to come to the next day and take a look.

He showed up AND was on time (I live up off of Alba road so it's not easy to find) He was great about explaining things to me and tried for a few hours to figure out why the washer was backing up into the tub... along with a few other things that didn't make any sense to me whatsoever.

It was late, so Dave had to resign despite not figuring out the issue. My tub is a weird design, and everything is tough to access, etc.

There was no question he tried everything he could. He apologized and said there was no charge (!!) He gave me a few other plumbers to call and wished me luck.

The next day he texted me to ask if I'd be home Saturday morning. He had been thinking about my set up and had a few more ideas.

I could tell it was bugging him and he wanted to get to the bottom of the issue. LOVE that in a person!! Saturday morning, Dave shows up (on time again) and conquers it.

Dave is very kind, respectful of your house/property and a true master at what he does. He's also a crazy wealth of information.

I was literally following him around with a pad of paper and pen writing stuff down (and he didn't mind lol). My only regret is finding him 13 years too late! Texas you lucked out! I found DPS Plumbing on Yelp and called them to check a pipe leak in the attic.

Dave was quick to respond and mentioned his hourly rate was $75 per hour. I agreed and had Dave come out the next day to assess the damage.

Unfortunately, the ceiling sheetrock collapsed overnight from the water accumulation, but the good thing was the attic was now exposed for Dave to easily see the leak. Dave arrived right before 9am and gave an estimate of $623, which was 6 hours of labor totaling $450 and $173 in materials.

I thought the estimate was high (he first wrote 5 hours but crossed it out and changed it to 6 hours). And his estimate didn't include replacing the ceiling sheetrock afterwards.

When I asked Dave if it would really take 6 hours to repair since he could see the leak easily and didn't have to hunt around for the leak, he said yes 6 hours. Since all that water was starting to soak the carpet and furniture, I decided to just get it done and agreed to the estimate.

Dave started at 9am and finished around 12 noon. After he was done, I asked if it would still cost $623 since it only took 3 hours instead of 6 hours.

He said it's still $623. I paid it and reminded myself to never call him again or recommend him to friends & neighbors.

Btw, Dave used about 8 feet of AquaPex tubing to replace the bad section of leaking galvanized pipe. I checked afterwards and AquaPex costs around $50 for a large 100 feet coil.

I don't see how he could justify charging $173 for 8 feet of AquaPex tubing and some pipe fittings. In summary, Dave was responsive and able to complete the repair, but way overcharged on both labor and materials.

I understand there's overhead to run a business (licenses, insurance, gas, etc). But to charge 6 hours of labor for a job that was completed in 3 hours, plus $173 for materials that cost $30-$40 at most, that just seems wrong and bad for the business reputation.

Dave is awesome! We got married a few weeks ago and took a few days off to road trip up the coast, only to return back home to the most disgusting backed-up bathtub situation... trust me, if you can see your new husband trying to plunge a handheld drain snake through standing butthole water a mere 5 days after getting hitched, you can make it through anything! After 1.5 days of failed DIY plumbing attempts, we read the rave reviews for DPS, saw that they were located down the road from us in the mountains, and gave them a call.

A very nice lady answered and said Dave would call us back within 15min. It was late afternoon, but he said he could swing by the following day around the same time, and he was true to his word! He and Tristan (Trystan?) showed up, got straight to business in the 95-degree heat, and unplugged our main line through the septic tank + removed the roots causing the blockage (a common problem, I found out) and had us right as (beautifully clear, fecal-free) rain within the hour for a very reasonable price.

Will DEFINITELY save ourselves the DIY hassle and leave plumbing to the professionals in the future, and Dave & Co. are wonderfully professional.

Highly recommend them for any of your mountain house plumbing needs! Dave did a great job fixing a shower valve. Other plumbers wanted to create access to the valve by demolishing the bathroom tiles which would have costed over $1000 plus the cost of the plumbing work.

Dave came in all ready to create his own access through plywood in a crawl space (wasn't easy but he did it right). Once done he took the time to check for all possible leaks and resealed where needed.

Would highly recommend him. Thanks Dave Pat Dave was amazing, called in panic mode at 5am, he came over within 15 minutes even though he doesn't open until 730, located and fixed leaking pipe in the attic in record time and was very affordable! When I need a plumber I always call Dave even though he is very busy he works my business in and helps my clients. Reliable, Knowledgeable, Friendly, Professional, and Reasonably Priced! I wish I had learned of him sooner! My testimony: I was in desperate need of a plumber on a Monday night.

At 4:30pm my kitchen sink clogged and then water backed up. I tried plunging, but more water backed up though the drain.

I was really worried it would continue to do so and actually overflow. Well, I spent about half an hour calling local business and leaving messages.

No one was open. Dave got back to me and told me he could come by within the hour.

In the meantime, a second company actually got back to me. When I asked about they after hour rate, they quoted over double what Dave quoted (and charged me) for the first hour.

Naturally, I told them I wasn't interested and looked forward to hiring Dave. He showed up as promised around 6pm (I didn't call him until after 5pm), checked my clog, retrieved the appropriate tool from his truck (a power snake), and cleared my drain in about 10 minutes with virtually no mess.

It turned out that living in a condo means I share a drain with other units and my upstairs neighbor's water was backing up my sink when I wasn't running water. There was a clog somewhere further down our shared line, which Dave easily removed.

I've had to hire a plumber once per year since moving to my condo and now I know why! It wasn't necessarily me causing the clogs. so nice to finally learn that.

B. Hughes I would like to say that JP Plumbing is AWESOME! I had received a few recommendations to them as I was in dire need of a plumber.

I had a horrible clog that started in my kitchen then ran though the lines in laundry and bathroom. Apparently, the way my lines are I needed a certain machine which not all comp have.

He gave me some companies to call but he did try to clear for over an hour but no luck. He told me he could try something else, but it could do some damage and suggest I try the comp with that machine.

They did not charge me since I was a first-time customer. I am very impressed with their professionalism, courtesy and honesty- I would highly recommend and use them again.

We first began using this company when the garbage disposal failed in our newly purchased home. The home warranty covered its replacement, and the warranty company sent Armando from JP Plumbing.

He did such a great job and was so pleasant that I asked him to fix the temperature-and-pressure valve on the water heater, which had been installed incorrectly prior to our purchase of the home. While he was here, I asked him to give me an estimate to install a gas line running into the kitchen so we could replace the electric cooktop with a gas version.

His estimate wasn't the lowest one we received, but at $500, it was only $50 to $80 higher than the next lowest one; plus, because of our previous experiences with Armando, as well as the fact that he specified galvanized pipe as opposed to a flexible line, we awarded him the job. I had storm damage to my home and was charged for three days worth of work (24 hours of work total) to get it fixed, despite it taking half that time.

Even though I was clearly overcharged, I paid it, and I went back for a quote on another two part job I needed done. I was quoted a ridiculous number for half of the job, so I went through someone else out of sheer necessity (literally over $1K cheaper).

I needed the main house shut off valve replaced plus a couple of pipes tapped. The city water meter valve was stuck open.

I tried on numerous occasions to rotate with no avail. I even had another plumber try a few months ago when I had some warranty work done and that plumber could not move the valve.

There have been lots of surprise repairs after purchasing a 30-year-old home which is also my first house ever. I have used Acosta twice so far in only three weeks.

The first time I had a leak under the kitchen sink and an issue with the garbage disposal. Acosta was able to come out the very same day to make the repairs.

I ended up having the garbage disposal replaced and the pipes repaired under the sink. They were knowledgeable and quick.

The second repair happened when I heard water pouring in the backyard. An old pipe that supplies the water hose had disconnected.

I called Acosta and they were able to work me in the very same day. The repairs were thorough.

We have had Luis Your Plumber out several times. From unplugging a kitchen sink to replacing the old piping in the house.

We love these guys. They are respectful, they explain what they are doing and I believe their pricing is very fair.

I have never felt ripped off. Love them! During the process of purchasing my first home, one of the houses, the one I would eventually buy, had some obvious plumbing issues.

Before signing the contract, I asked Your Plumber Luis, at the suggestion of my mom, to come out and give the issues a look. They came within 24 hours, did a deep dive into the house, and provided me a very reasonable quote for when I was ready to have the work done.

I got a call back within an hour and an appointment and visit this morning at 8 AM. Larry and Sal came out to look at my upstairs tub, which had leaked through the ceiling causing some water damage.

They were AMAZING!!! First thing after our greeting, they slipped on their boot covers to protect my floors and went to work to diagnose my problem. Waiting and not knowing how much it was going to cost me as I was ready for a "huge" bill.

It ended being a loose nut inside the pipe, which they were able to get to with a small hole they cut from under a cabinet and repaired it.
