Review and analyze now for company CW Service Pros and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''This was the 3rd time we had CW to come out and help us with a problem. Every time, I have been blown away with how professional and friendly they way the treat customers.
They answer all questions and have fixed all the problems we have had very quickly, and it has always worked well. We have had Zachary come out twice now for separate problems, and he has remembered us from the last time, and I will definitely use him and the company for any of my plumbing problems.
Thank you CW and Zachary for all that yall do. On 10/3 I had CW plumbing out to perform a clean-out for a clog at my home in Flower Mound.
The plumber ran a snake down my clean-outs from the outside and then ran a camera down the same clean out to check things. He told me that I had a break in the pipe.
On the video, he can be heard explaining to my property manager the break in the pipe. Asking him if he can see it and explaining that this is the cause of the clog.
He said we were fixed for now, but that we needed to have the sewer line replaced from under a bathroom in the middle of the house which required digging and burrowing under the house. All in, this work was going to cost $12,998.
I called the insurance company and naturally they didn't cover it. Because it was so expensive, I decided to see how long it took for this problem to occur again and decided to handle it the next time it posed a problem.
The next day, the same exact clog was there and poop water was backed up in the sink, the laundry room and the dishwasher. So we brought them back out to try it again and give it another look.
He did the same stuff he did the day before and told us that because the break in the sewer line was so severe that it keeps backing up because dirt is coming in from outside the pipe. As a real estate investor, when I have expensive problems like this, I generally call in the General contractor I use for large renovations.
I told him what CW had found and showed him the video. He ran a snake down that went much farther than CWs and cleaned out a clog he found a little farther down the line.
He then ran an HD camera down the pipes and looked at the entire system. There were no breaks in any of the pipes and we were finally fixed.
As a general consumer, we trust these companies to send professionals who are knowledgeable, have the skills, the experience and the right tools to get the job done. We rely on their expertise to diagnose and fix the problems that a general consumer cannot possibly handle on their own.
If I had trusted them and had them perform this pipe replacement, I would have been out $13,000. And they would have repaired a problem that simply wasn't there.
I am not sure whether this was incompetence and the technician just didn't know what he was doing? Or was it that his snake didn't reach as far and his camera was blurry? Or did they see an opportunity to make some money off of an unknowing consumer? I suspect the latter. Moral of the story- always get a second opinion.
And beware of this company. They are preying on regular people that don't have knowledge of plumbing.
People who have horrible dirty problems they need fixed and whose stress levels are very high because of the nasty and gross nature of these types of problems. They use these circumstances to make money.
Lots of money. There are other reviews under mine warning people of CWs price gouging and practices.
Please beware and consider calling someone else. Note: I did contact CW through the "Contact US" section of their website.
I summarized the events and gave them the opportunity to refund my money or rectify this situation. I never heard back.
Been with CW for a few years now and they remain consistent with regular service work and are efficient in an emergency. All the techs have been friendly and provide pictures.
I haven't been deceived or upcharged for either hvac or plumbing work. They do an awesome job, and I can't recommend them enough Called because some water was collecting in my front yard.
I suspected it was the sprinkler system (it was) but I wanted to make sure. They spent 2 hours and $600 to locate a leak that they said was coming from the back of the house? Quote me 6k to tunnel underneath my house to fix it.
Called a second plumber who quoted me $500 to reroute the line if that's where the problem was, but guess what? There was no leak where CW plumbing said there was. Turns out it was the sprinkler system.
I spent $600 for a leak detection service with CW plumbing for them to "detect" something that doesn't exist and we're gonna have me spend $6k on an unneeded repair only to leave me with the leak I called about in the first place. Sham of a company.
They do not look out for creative and alternative solutions. They guess at a problem and then offer to replace the entire system.
Waste of money and time. I'm a real estate agent and spend every chance I get to make sure my clients and other realtors and brokerages know to not use this company.
These guys just don't get the message when you tell them to stop calling. They lost a customer for good and I will be posting on our community webpage my opinions on this company.
For the last several months I have received a sales call's from them every two or three weeks. Don't give them your phone number ever!!! I had CW Service come out to do a simple installation of two bathroom faucets.
The technician was polite and arrived on time. However, the quote for both faucets was $1000.00 Today I contacted Angi (formerly Angi's list) and I have another company coming out with a quote of $385.00 I paid them their $50 trip fee and sent them on their way.
I can understand fee's that are within +/-10%, but more than double? Townsend Moore came out and replaced 2 outdoor faucets and provided great service and very friendly / informative. We needed a follow up visit NOT due to anything that went wrong with the first visit, but they were very accommodating and quick to resolve.
Water Heater drain and clean. Was quoted price and prompt service was appreciated.
Service person was prompt and professional. Used this company before for my sink, the service was ok but they are not reliable or value time for customers.
2nd call was yesterday. I called about my thermostat and heat .
Made the appointment for the next morning for 8-11 am. I received a text at 930 am saying the tech was not coming due to another job would take ALL day .
I was very disappointed as I arranged for my sister to take off work this morning. They did not have a solution.
I wouldn't not recommend this company. It's very difficult finding good help Very disappointed! They refused to provide pricing for replacing a cartridge since they couldn't confirm that is what is needed before spending $50 and my time to look at it.
I don't want to waste my time and money if they end up quoting well above market. I told them I understood that they may not end up being the repair needed.
I simply wanted to know if it were the repair needed what it would cost. Santiago at CW service pros is a true professional.
His quality of work and knowledge is above any HVAC professional we have dealt with. The repair and parts were exactly what we were quoted and no additional service fee or charge to return and do the repair.
I can highly recommend Santiago and CW service pros and they will have all of our HVAC business in the future. James G Purgason Erik arrived on time and had everything necessary to do the job.
He was courteous and got the job done right the first time! Have used this company before and they were okay. This time they came out for a leak in my yard for a $200 fee on a Saturday which I understood.
The tech, Erik, quoted me one price of $714 for the work and never sent an invoice and then I was charged an extra $200 which he did not mention for excavation. I don't like the bait & switch tactic and not explaining the price up front.
I will seek another plumbing service for my future needs. I scheduled for a tech to come look at my water heater that had suddenly stopped heating up water.
Tech took a look and after about 15 minutes recommended I get a new water heater. Price range was $2.2K to $3k.
I got second opinion and it turned out to be the heating element. A $30 part plus $75 for labor.
Needless to say CW was going for the big bucks and didn't do their job diagnosing the issue. Very upset.
Won't recommend or do business with them again. Prompt, professional and courteous service.
Got the job done quickly and correctly. Happy to do business with them.
Santiago and company from CW was fantastic. Can't recommend these guys enough.
If you're in the DFW, use these guys! Annual maintenance - Mike was on time, polite, professional, friendly. Found a couple of things that will need fixing eventually.
No pressure! The service was reasonable, but not necessary right now. I have used CW for several years and have found them prompt, friendly, and very helpful.
How about zero stars. I called and set up a service call to have my 2 tankless water heaters flushed.
The woman scheduling quoting me around $302 or something, along with a $40 something service fee (that would apply to the total) and that they could have someone come out the same afternoon. Within hours the tech arrived...but his notes didn't include I have 2 water heaters.
He was pretty certain I would have to pay 300 something$ each for both water heaters but I asked him if he could call and see if something could be worked out since the oversight was not on my end. So he proceeded to call his manager or owner idk..and ask him.
ON SPEAKER PHONE. That man tells him - no it's the same amount of work for the same amount of time - (okay I get that part )- but they want to charge me 600 something $dollars to flush 2 tankless water heaters?! Is he insane? I know I can buy that kit on Amazon for like $185 bucks, you tube it, and do it myself I just didn't want to lol.
But that wasn't even the best part - he proceeded to tell the tech that if he can get me to purchase the D scaler whatchmacallit thing that would be great because ....and I quote ...wait for it.... " if you can get $1600 out of her rather than $600 that's better ha ha ha" At that moment I didn't say anything because I didn't wanna lose my shit.
So when he hung up I told the dude have a nice day' and went back in the house. I thought maybe it would serve better start my Friday gracefully and inform the community and on this forum to stay away from these crooks.
Idiots. Follow up- I did receive a call from Jason the man that said those things and he explained to me he was trying to relay to the tech the benefits of upselling me..
lol and he refused to apologize to me for what he ACTUALLY said -telling me "I didn't say that. So I'm not going to apologize." I said yes you did we both heard it.
So I guess he thinks I'm the dumb one? Next time take accountability rather than be an a$$hole. Caden came to my home to fix a huge leak.
Showed up with a great attitude and went the extra mile to fix my issue. Highly recommend this company and Caden.
Byron of CW heating inspected our furnace. He explained its operation and upkeep thouroughly.
Friendly, answered our questions. Professional.
Sam was very professional and knowledgeable. He quickly replaced a hose bib for me.
Excellent plumbers -- ,no issues with the staff or their competence. Over the past few years I have noticed significant price increases.
Today they installed a new flow valve ... the plastic device that monitors the water level in the tank.
The plumber was finished and in his truck in less than 20 minutes...over $250. Great service and people, but not for the price conscious.
Erik arrived on time at 9402 Los Alamos, Irving on November 8, 2023. Quickly advised me the problem, Discussed the option and solution, Installed a whole new toilet that day.
Erik was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Much over priced, even I don't want to give one star if I could.
I was kind of scammed, the guy name Zach told me the repair price is $79.99, one worker took two hours to finish, when I made payment, Zach told me it is more than $800. I was shocked, just replaced a small pipe, their rate is much more than doctor.
And his attitude was very bad too, he was laughing at me when I got mad. How can believe they are certified by BBB.
I called C&W after googling a plumber to help assist me in what I had thought was a broken sewer pipe. After immediately following up with my website inquiry, the dispatcher I talked with set me up with an appointment with 2 hours! When my plumbers, Devan and Jose, showed up I showed them my issue and after a few questions they assured me that my problem wasn't near as bad as I had originally thought.
They even educated me about preventative measures (removing a huge bush that was near my sewer/main water pipe) that will spare me the heartache later in the future. They even spared my landscaping! This company has earned my business in the future because these guys could have EASILY taken advantage of my ignorance and uncharged me.
We bought a house that had a shower pan leak. C&W Plumbing did the plumber's side of the work.
They referred/ recommended their friend to do the tile work. Just over a year later we notice a leak by the shower.
We called C&W since they have a 2 year warranty on the work that was done. Sam, from C&W Plumbing, comes out and is extremely courteous.
He looks all around the shower for holes and leaks, but never tests the actual shower pan. When moving the shower head all around he finally finds a spot by the door that it on the same wall as the shower head.
He explains that was the tile company's issue and not C&W Plumbing. We call the tile company and they send a man to fix the spot that was leaking on the door.
The next day we still see a leak. We are not experts on this, so we hire a licensed inspector to look at it.
He lets us know that it is definitely coming from the shower. The inspector asked if C&W Plumbing did a shower pan test when they came out.
He was very surprised that they did not check their own work. We had to schedule another time for C&W to come out and do this test.
C&W Plumbing sends out Jason. He does the shower pan test with the inspector present.
He sees that it is leaking. Tells us there are a number of reasons of why it might be.
The inspector suggests that we get the Tile company and C&W Plumbing to come out together as they pull apart the shower to see what the problem is. A week later, when everyone can come out.
The outcome is as expected. Both Companies say the other is at fault.
Jason from C&W Plumbing admitted to the inspector that had they raised the Shower Pan liner higher, there wouldn't be a problem. Chris from C&W Plumbing called me after we have had to report this to the state.
His main response is "We did all that is required by the city." It has been pointed out by the inspector and many others that the work that was done was not best practice. We are just wanting what was originally thought was done.
We wanted a shower that doesn't leak for many years down the road. Now we are having to fight this because a company has decided to do the minimum requirement instead of having their customers interests in mind when doing a job.
We currently have no shower, $$$$$$ in damages, and they wont fix what could have been prevented a little over a year ago. I dont trust them to do any work anywhere.
Been here a couple of times Respectful and Brandon kept us up to date on his progress, explaining what had to be done and what should be done but not urgent...kept our budget under control We had an emergency water heater leak in the middle of the night. It was literally pouring water down our wall.
A severe leak. The knob to turn the water off broke so we went ahead and called the emergency number.
Keith came out and took care of us. Managed to get the water turned off and disconnected.
He came back the next day and installed our new water heater. I'm very happy with his install.
He was extremely nice and did a great job installing everything. He put a tray under it.
The old one didn't have one and what a mess! Now we have a tray with a drain pipe. A leak will be much less of an emergency even if it's pouring next time.
At least next time if it happens we can divert the water away until it's managed. We didn't have the luxury to research or look around for a plumber since it was an emergency.
In fact we called a different company before calling C&W and the other company didn't answer their emergency line so I'm glad C&W did and was quick to come out. C &W might be a little expensive, but really good service and reliable, their technicians come out on time and fix the issues, I have been using their services multiple times, always happy with the results, so even they are a little expesive i would still recommend it.
On July 5th we had part of our system back up in the laundry room. I called C & W right away as they had done multiple jobs at multiple houses for me in the past.
The service I received this time was not acceptable. It is July 26th and we just now are finished with their portion of the job.
I have had numerous phone calls not returned - People not showing up when I was told they would be there and people showing up I had no idea they were coming. This is my fourth slab leak repair and I was extremely disappointed in the out come and professionalism I found with their current staff.
Not sure if I will ever trust them again if this is the way the company is now run. My toliet backed up and I called a couple plumbers and CW was able to come out the same day.
They didn't bring the camera with a sensor to find the clean out line outside my house so they waited over an hour for that which they knew they needed. Seems strange to not bring it.
Then they asked to use my shovels and dug to try and guess where it was and I told them it was ok to kill 2 or 3 plants. They charged over 6k to repair the sewer line to the street where roots caused damage and is cheap pvc line.
I thought that was am astronomical price but I was in a rush to move out of my house and didn't want to lose time and money getting a second quote. Then I was telling the guy I had repairs done just 2 weeks ago on something else and he said they would have been a couple hundred dollars cheaper and I just don't believe him and it rubbed me wrong.
The people at the office seem nice and they do a good job communicating when they will be there. Just leave the project like you found it would have made it alot better.
called CW for several issues. They charged us over $1600 for less than 3.5 hours of work from the plumber.
This works out to over $400 an hour! They have INSANELY high rates for their jobs if doing more than 1 job in a single trip. I even called and asked why their rates are so high when you look at their hourly rate.
Do NOT use these guys unless you have money to burn. I won't be using them again.
We had a toilet leak that turned out to be way worse than we thought. Justin came out when he said he would and quickly identified the problem, helping us figure out the next step (a contractor), and offering to come out during the repairs to make sure a new drain was properly installed.
Fortunately we have a friend who's a contractor, and he confirmed Justin's diagnosis. Meanwhile, Amy with C&W follows up with us once a week to see when they can help again but does not pressure us to pay yet or anything - she just checks in.
And their pricing is even reasonable (as far as I can tell)! We're still figuring out how to address the underlying problem but I just wanted to leave this review because our experience with C&W has been really positive. We had a water leak in the wall between the main bath and bedroom on a Saturday.
C&W were available to come help us figure out the issue the same day. Amy, answering the phone, and Devan, the plumber, were both very courteous and answered all my questions.
They were up front about the cost and confirmed I wanted to proceed with the work at the quoted price before starting which I so appreciate. (Have had other service companies not share prices without my asking before the work started).
Devan found the problem and was able to fix it within the hour. He provided me guidance and recommendations for weekend water mitigation and the repairs that will be required due to the water damage.
When dealing with stressful issues out of your area of expertise during off hours, it is so appreciated to have a kind, patient team available to help! Way too expensive. I feel I was taken advantage of.
Broke my plastic electric plug cover underneath my sink didn't even bother to tell me. Told me he couldn't shut off cover on my hot water back on correctly due to the way it was put I.
When house was built. Horrible experienced.
Issue: hot water coming out of the cold water side in master bath The plumber was brought in for a $49 trip charge. After learning about the issue, the plumber wanted to do a leak test for a cost of $385 plus $200 per hour beyond the first 90 minutes.
I contacted the C and W office rightaway to let them know, that I was not ready to accept a variable bill. I was assured the testing would complete in first 90 minutes.
However, the plumber finally charged me $634. Result of the plumber investigation: A Slab Leak was found - only a verbal communication Comnents: 1.
Results of the investigation should be in writing 2. A report must answer questions such as: what testing method was used, why, what were the findings, exact location of the leak, what are the possible solutions, why one solution is better than the other etc A verbal statement "we found a leak" is not enough.
3. Business must realize some customers may not like a proposal that has variable costs involved 4.
A professional plumber who charges $200 per hour should be more efficient and use modern tools. A real professional plumber does not take 3 hours to find a leak.
I cannot say enough good things about this company! From the moment they pick up the phone to the time the plumber leaves your home, you know they take customer service seriously. I called C&W due to a water main break.
They were able to have someone come out the same day. They provided a reasonable window of when they could come out.
They called to let me know when the plumber was in route to my house. They even texted me a picture of the plumber AND the text included a bio on the plumber.
Mario came out to the house and was polite, friendly and knowledgeable! He was patient with me as I asked lots of questions. He clearly laid out the cost and directed me to an online coupon that I could direct toward the bill.
He efficiently took care of the issue and left the area better than when he began his work. I highly recommend this company! A pipe to our upstairs bathtub busted on a Sunday evening.
No one was available except C & W Plumbing. They were prompt, courteous, professional and did a great job repairing the pipe.
I always have a great experience with C&W Plumbing! Marco was on time, professional, personable and and provided great feedback on the issues in my home. The pricing is also very reasonable as well.
Unfortunate Experience. C&W tech did an extremely poor job and feel that there is some possible dishonesty with this company.
We had a leaky Bathroom faucet. Didn't know it at the time, but the only problem was a Moen Handle cartridge that needed to be replaced.
I did the work myself after watching a You Tube video on how to diagnose. Parts were about $40 and it took me 30 minutes.
That was the fix. Now let me share what this tech told me: - "It looks like you're going to have to replace the whole faucet system.
You'll need to get the the faucet and call us back. (about $160 for the materials) - Because it's so hard to get to, you may need to get a whole new cabinet and sink (about $500) - Our quote for Labor on this repair is $406.86 I'm thankful that I had the sense to detect a red flag.
The red flag was that he never turned off the hot and cold. I did that and turned them on one at a time and found that it only leaked on the Hot.
Which means there is only a problem with the Hot Handle. I was done.
Had I listened to this tech and bought his story, it would have cost nearly $1,100. As it was, it only cost me $40 in parts.
I was impressed that the owner immediately offered to reimburse my $50 for the service visit. I'm not sure he was as alarmed about the inadequate or misleading diagnosis the tech gave.
I write this because I'm hoping no one gets swindled. Had this happened to my parents, they would have been more trusting and shelled out a lot of money over this misleading diagnosis.
This may be a good company with a bad Tech. People may be use to paying out large sums to this company without question.
This is probably the most disappointing contractor visit I've ever had from a contractor in our McKinney home. Be careful.
You do not want to use this company for your plumbing issues. We had a toilet leak.
They came in, said the tank leak was fixed and $334 later left. Four hours later there was water all over the floor, leaking from the tank.
They refused to return to check their work after they said they would continguent on another $200 charge. My husband and son-in-law were forced to repair the toilet for $20.
The plumber needed to replace an additional washer and gasket in the tank. Poor customer service and poor job performance.
I can't even select a negative review!!!!! Good customer service, service, and valued my time. On technician who had helped me before, remembered me.
How refreshing and they fixed my sink! I previously raved about C & W Plumbing services. I have personally called the owner, Chris to tell him what an outstanding group of plumbers he has working for him and completed a video to express my satisfaction with C & W Plumbing.
This is no longer the case. I requested to have an estimate completed to convert my existing electric cooktop range over to gas.
Steven, plumber from C & W Plumbing arrived on 7/13/18. He was very professional and I thought thorough at the time.
He quoted me a price of $1,625.43 to have this done. Between 7/13/18 to 7/20/18, I had a major water leak on the first floor.
Fast forward, Chance, master plumber came out on 8/20/18 to install the gas line. He cut 2 large holes (one on the 1st floor and the second hole on the 2nd floor) out of the sheet rock to start the process.
With 2 plumbers coming out on 2 different occasions, either one of them THOROUGHLY assessed the existing set up. There was a gas line already installed that I didn't know about.
I'm an occupational therapist not a plumber. I did not know that the gas line existed because of the electric cooktop I have been using for the 6 1/2 yrs.
As experienced as these 2 plumbers are suppose to be, they did not do their job. If they had done their job, I would not have 2 holes in my walls, missed income on 8/20/18 because I had to drive from Fort Worth, TX to Coppell, TX (over 40 mins) leaving patients not treated in Fort Worth, TX, totally messing up my afternoon schedule to let an electrician in my house to repair a wire that Chance, master plumber had nicked.
Chance rushed off to bill more units because he wasn't physically available to tell the electrician what he needed to him to repair. I called Chance.
He didn't answer. I called the office who got in contact with Chance and Chance explained over the phone the mistake he made.
I was so mad, I could spit! C & W Plumbers were so eager to bill units, they TOTALLY NEGLECTED to THOROUGHLY assess my situation. How can I make you smile is C & W Pluming Service response when you call.
There is nothing C & W could do to ever make me smile again! Janice Gladney Coppell, TX I have used these guys before, on relatively small issues, and every time they were always reasonably priced, very professional and efficient. This time I had hot water leak from under the ground, and I called C&W.
Long story short, while it was/is being very stressful situation for us, I don't thing it could be handled better than the way it was done by C&W (THANKS, Devan and Brendon!). Have to mention also their dispatch office with very polite, understanding and accommodating ladies, that care about your time and problems, thanks! Leak was found and fixed and clean up work should soon be finished.
I rarely do Yelp reviews, but I truly believe that credit should be given when folks do a great job! P.S. Cold showers develop character...
Pricing was slightly expensive than I had expected. But service was pretty good.
Overall good experience Outstanding customer service! Ethical and reliable! On May 18th we had an urgent need for a plumber due to a blocked main drain. Our bathroom was flooding after showering and when washing machine drained! I called several local plumbing companies and couldn't get anyone out that day.
I then called C & W Plumbing - they were so caring and had someone out in a couple hours! They sent photo of the technician that would be coming for ID. It turned out to be major problem and an area of our flagstone patio had to be dug up.
They returned early 5/19 to make the repair. We had a big party planned for Sat 5/20 and they saved us! They are friendly, thorough and explain everything.
We couldn't be more pleased with their service! Kudos to techs Marco and Rod and to their office staff, Christopher and Kay for outstanding customer service!! If I could give more stars I would. I called these folks yesterday for the first time (I was not a returning customer but I am now!).
I told them I had raw sewage flooding both my bathrooms and they said "we will be there shortly." About an hour and a half later a plumber showed up, then 30 minutes later another plumber showed up. They snaked our lines, put their camera down all of our lines just to evaluate our pipes.
After about 2 hours the bill was just under $260! They were fantastic, polite, professional, honest and a reasonable price. I will use them forever! I had one of my water lines break from the city meter to my house and I attempted to fix it with my neighbor.
I dug the whole to expose the pipe and pieced in a new pcp pipe. The angle was a bit off making it challenging for amateurs to repair and the elbow joint pulled away about 15 minutes after I turned the water back on.
My wife asked me to call a plumber instead of attempting to fix it again. I called this company and spoke to Kaye.
She was very friendly and personable. They advised they couldn't get anybody out that night but would come in the morning and that she would call me.
So she called me this morning and told me that Rhett would be on his way over and that it would be $150.00 to get him out there for the work. When Rhett arrived he got a cup and scooped some of the water out of the hole so that he could see the whole pipe better and I explained where the pipe had failed to begin with.
The repairs I attempted, and where my repair failed. We then agreed the best and most cost effective way to repair it would be to redo the repair that I made.
He asked me if I wanted him to rebury the pipe afterward or just do the pipe. I said I have no trouble doing the grunt work and burying the pipe as I just wanted his skilled labor to repair the pipe.
He then sat down, wrote a quote using a book, and then stated it would be $150 for the service call(that I already agreed to with Kaye) and then $459.00 for the repair. This was well outside what would be reasonable to glue three or four pieces of PVP together.
I explained how unreasonable that quote was and he just stated he had to follow what was in the book. Of course I didn't agree to the work at that price.
I don't know anyone who would. He acted like I was unreasonable.
It seems to me that is their business model. i was already on the hook for the $150.00 and I was going to have to pay that for no benefit no matter what.
If I agree to the crazy price they get overpaid for a job, if not, they get $150.00 to just come over a quote me a crazy price. One good thing did come out of this experience, I was so mad about what happened it gave me the motivation I needed to do the job myself.
Stay away from this company. Sewer back up late at night.
Keith came over diagnosed the problem and got to work. It was a little slow to get the w tusk work done but I trust he did an excellent job.
They have a veterans discount and I would def use again. I called multiple plumbers and C&W got back to me first, within a few hours of my inquiry.
They are competitively priced so we went with them. Sam came out the next day.
I appreciated the upfront estimate based on a binder of predetermined job prices. It was very honest.
The work we had done took a while, and Sam was very thorough and professional. We received a follow up call the next day asking about our experience which was a nice touch.
I would recommend them and use them again in the future. C&W did an excellent job...professional, reliable and efficient.
20 minutes after calling, Keith arrived, assessed the problem and installed a hot water heater. Will SO use them again! I woke up Christmas Morning to no hot water, so I just figured the hot water heater had gone out.
The next day I replaced the hot water heater to find out still not hot water. But the hot water heater was old and needed to be replaced anyway, after a further diagnosis it was determined I had a slab leak.
I called C&W and Jeremy came out and diagnosed the problem and confirmed the hot water heater was fine but water was going somewhere. Jeremy did a leak detection to see if they could pin point the leak under the slab and he found it under the water heater.
Jeremy is first class and he explained every step of the process. i will definately used C&W again and I have suggested if jeremy is available I would like to work with him.
Been with C&W since we built our home. Always at the ready as we have had some major builder issues on plumbing.
Fast and courteous service. Bought their USA plan.
Paid off wel. Can't get into specifics but builder ended up paying substantial amount for faulty work discovered by C&W.
Maybe a little pricey but you get what you pay for. First of all, the fact that c&w has Saturday hours was such a huge blessing.
They picked up the phone right away and were eager to get us fit into the regular Saturday hours so we wouldn't be charged after hours fees. Within 2 hours a great technician, Edward, was at the house and diagnosing the problem.
He was thorough at explaining the problem and took time to give us all of our options. I was beyond pleased and would definitely recommend them.
I've found my new plumbing company! Kory was very knowledgeable, quick and efficient! Job well done! These guys have excellent customer service via the phone. When the plumber arrived he was able to repair the water leak to our main water line in less than an hour.
They charge one price for the job rather than the old hourly charge plus parts. Their prices were a little higher than our other estimate, but the service was good.
They called back the next day to see if we were happy and they sent out another technician to make sure that everything was put back in place to our satisfaction. This was going the extra mile in my opinion.
KSW This is company is the worst. I scheduled an appointment with them and missed the call from the dispatcher saying they were on their way by 30 minutes.
At the time the call came in I was detained. When I called them back 30 minutes later they said they re-routed the plumber to another call and cancelled my appointment.
Really! This company is all about money not service. I called Benjamin Franklin plumbing and booked a appointment with them the next day.
They said they don't those types of things they show up no matter what. When I told them I would never use them again the dispatcher didn't seem to care Sam was outstanding.
We had a water leak and from the minute I called at 11p on a Saturday night, C&W went above and beyond. Kay immediately called back, we talked over the problem and they had that could come immediately if needed.
We elected to do 9a the next day. Sam came prepared, diagnosed the problem, laid out all the options and gave quotes and input prior to starting any work.
He answered my and my family's numerous questions and was patient, thorough, and the utmost professional. The prices were fair, accurate, and the workmanship was awesome.
We have our go to folks now and I'm thrilled about how much Sam and C&W were able to fix a stressful situation for us. Would highly, highly recommend and know we'll use them moving forward! Credit where credit is due! Contractor called me and stated the work should have been performed under warranty and I will not be charged.
Still some concern about the materials/parts/ but being contacted directly makes things much better. Great workmanship.
Use no name sub-standard parts, and no warranty mentioned. Had to repair faucet parts that failed (which never should according to the tech) with in two years of C & W installing.
No name knoock-off parts that you cannot but from a major retailer, available from C & W at very over priced rates. Used them twice, never again! They say superior warranties.....none mentioned and certainly not considered on their "own" brand of parts.
Buyer/Customer beware!!! Stay away from this company, they are nothing but scam artist. They overcharged us for job that maximum would have been $75, but they charged us around $350.
I will report them to BBB and put the details of their practice on any social media platform that I can. Today is 2/2 and C & W office called and wanted to make sure if the tech return my call.
What a joke it had been more then a month. STAY away from this business.
Don't fall for the line 'how can I make u smile..' Look around and you will find a few customers with the same complains. I cannot give any stars for work performed because I never had them come out.
I called Thursday afternoon about 4:00 and told them I needed a thermocouple replaced on my hot water heater. They did not have that particular part and would need to go to the supply store and pick it up and then they could run it over and get me taken care of.
They are located in Lewisville and I'm right down the road in Corinth, not too far. Well, quote time.
They told me it would be $220 for installation, another $150 for the emergency call, and then of course the part which is about $20. Almost $400 to replace a thermocouple on a 2011 Bradford White hot water heater.
Over double the price of what I ended up getting. OUCH! By the way, the one star was for their courtesy, they were indeed very pleasant and easy to speak with.
Really the best! Excellent and hard working people with very efficient and friendly customer service. I have never posted a review before, but these individuals deserve recognition!! If $1,669 is average to pay for a new Rheem 40-gallon water heater with a one-year warranty on the labor and 10 years on the tank plus a $49.00 service call fee, then I got average.
The technician was polite. Said he was on commission.
The price seemed high, but I don't know how to do it, so there it is. Called in at 4:55 , was told someone can be in in less then an hour .
Tech arrived at 6:25 . Keith the tech was very professional and did a very good looking job .
I would rate him and the craftsmanship 5/5 . The problem was the price , although being upfront with the price its not like i have much choice at 6:30 in the evening in regard to get my water running again.
C & W changed me $895 for Main Shut Off Valve Replacement. Not only that the hole was not covered and C & W requested another $150 to cover the hole , as per the tech they did not charged me for excavation .
Overall i think the work was well done but i got ripped off. If you don't care about money and want quality work call C& W , however if you are looking for quality work and decent prices look elsewhere.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that my water bill was high. The water pipes to the washing machine made a hissing sound and the dial on the water meter was turning for no reason.
These are indications of water leak under my pier and beam house. I shut the water main pipe off to prevent further water loss and to keep the ground dry while trying to have the leak fixed ASAP.
I used C&W Plumbing based on some good reviews online. Below is the chronological record of the repair process.
Day 1. I called C&W and described problem: Water pipe leak under a pier and team house.
Day 2. A technician came and performed a pressure test.
He determined that the leak was on a hot water pipe, and quoted a price about $700. He couldn't work under the house alone by company policy, so we waited for the second technician who arrived in a couple of hours.
It took them a few minutes to decide that the crawling space under the house was too tight. Another team will come next day.
Day 3. The lead technician and an apprentice with better fitness came.
They located the leak, but the price went up to over $1200. With no running water in house for 3 days, I agreed to the price.
To my surprise, however, they didn't have the materials at hand. They also said that the materials can't be obtained at just any hardware stores, so the fixing had to be done on another day.
The following day was Saturday, and they don't work on weekends. I was frustrated, but felt a little better after learned that they could shut the hot water system off, and turned water main on so I can, at least, have cold running water for the weekend.
But, as soon as the water was turned on, the pipe hissing and meter dial turning came back. "Oops, you might have leaks on both cold and hot systems." I was so discouraged at the time that I considered re-piping that entire section of the house.
The technician liked idea. He promised to make a plan and let me know the price ASAP.
The water to the house was shut off again. I lost a lot of sleep at the night.
Day 4 (Saturday). Nothing was done.
Day 5 (Sunday). Nothing was done.
Day 6. First thing in the morning, I called and talked to one of the owners about my suspicion that the technician might have mistaken a cold pipe as a hot one.
The owner said that he will send another team. A dispatcher called, the earliest time they could send someone was two days later.
Day 7. Nothing was done.
Day 8. Sam and Andrew came in the morning.
They found no leak in the hot water system and fixed a leak on a cold pipe. At the end of the day, the water to the house was finally turned on with no sign of leak! Final cost: $1153, with the purchase of one year service agreement (no fee for service call worth $49.00 and 10% off repair cost up to $150.00).
This agreement got me to use them again, which is causing me lot of anxiety. I will review it later.
Every C&W crew members I have encountered was polite and courteous. They greet phone calls with "how can I make you smile today?", and put shoe covers on before walking into my house.
They did fix the leak. However, the company falls short on what also matter, time and cost.
We had a slab leak suddenly appear yesterday afternoon. After hours of researching and reading reviews, I called C & W Plumbing and they scheduled us for the first appointment this morning.
Two very capable people arrived on time (with their booties on) and got right to work. They were definitely the right choice with specialized equipment and expertise that my regular plumber wouldn't have had.
They pulled up a significant chunk of carpet and confirmed that it was a slab leak, went outside to work around and under the foundation for well over an hour, but were unable to pinpoint the exact leak location (it had been blocked by some dirt or mud). They replaced the carpet neatly, then patiently and clearly walked us through probable causes and the alternatives for when it surfaced again.
Very knowledgable and would highly recommend to others. I have used C&W several times and will never use another company.
They are always professional and get the job done. I never feel like I'm getting ripped off either.
Highly recommend them!! Adam was professional and knowledgeable. He replaced two toilets and two shower handles.
He did a great job. C & W have this scam that for $49 they send a rep.
to your home to estimate the cost. Their estimate for a minor repair was $797.
I refused their service and contracted their competitor in Lewisville who did the job for $287. I do not recommend this company.
Doug They answered the phone "How can I put a smile on your face?" That instantly reassured me that they were in business to solve my problem: a ruptured water heater. I needed a replacement today, not tomorrow, and C&W dispatched a master plumber who arrived by noon.
I got the 12-year Rheem replacement unit with a year warranty on the labor. Robert had the unit in his truck.
He was done in about five hours. The job was seamless.
He was efficient, clean, professional, and quiet. The most noise I heard was the occassional burp of his blow torch firing up.
I wrote a check, shook his hand, and off he went with the discarded water heater that was 38 years old. The new unit is operating like a charm and the total cost was about what I expected for a top-line replacement.
C&W turned what could have been a day of disaster into a happy upgrade. Now that's service! I came home tonight to a flooded garage due to a leaking hot water heater.
The customer service on the after hours line was excellent, and Samuel went out of his way to help me out. I truly appreciated the fact that they were so quick to respond, and are going to be able to come out at 8am tomorrow to get the hot water heater replaced.
Had a leaky toilet that I was not able to shut the water valve off on. Had to call the 24-hr service on a Friday at 10:30 pm.
C&W was fast at calling me back and getting someone out to the house. They did a good job giving me options and explaining to me some preventive things to do in the future.
The work was done quickly and effectively. Their prices for after hours were high, but that is to be expected.
Had someone come out to give some estimates and fix a couple exterior faucets, he didn't have the right size faucet and said he would order one and come back early the following week.. well never heard from him again or got the new faucets.
Guess they didn't need our business. We contacted AM Plumbing who came out same day and fixed our issues right away, were much more personable, professional and better priced.
AM plumbing will be our go to any day over C&W. C & W Plumbing would not give us an estimate over the phone, Had to come to our home, all we need was to replace a part on the Hot Water Heater that was sent to us my Honeywell.
Told us our Hot Water Heater was not up to code and we needed a whole new Water Heater. What a joke, a $150.00 job was now quoted as $2594.64 what a scam these guys are running on poor elderly people.
The appointment was set for friday, but they were able to fit me in a day earlier. A very friendly and helpful tech.
C&W was so efficient getting a serviceman out to fix my stopped up bathroom drain first thing in the morning! Marco was so polite and helpful in explaining exactly what had to be done and was so patient answering my questions! His work was excellent and he took the time suggesting how to stop this problem! Marco is an excellent and knowledgeable plumber! I was very pleased with Marco! I go out of town and sure enough the water heater starts leaking. My wife calls a couple people and they recommend C&W.
To be fair they did a good job. I would expect nothing less given replacing a water heater is plumbing 101.
What got me was the cost. Almost $1700 for just a basic 40gal gas water heater replacement.
Nothing special, easy access in the garage, no power venting, just a 40 gal water heater I could go buy from Home Depot for about $350 and their wholesale cost for all of the parts should easily be well under $500. When I asked how much just the water heater was they wouldn't tell me as it was a "bundled" price.
Oh, but the tech said they only use quality parts, no "Sharkbite" fittings. Really?!? If you are a licensed plumber and are using fittings aimed at the DIY market you shouldn't be a plumber.
So basically $400 an hour for labor. Unbelievable.
They should be ashamed. Do yourself a favor and do not call these people.
I made that mistake. While they are professional and they did the job.
I was suprised they did not have the 4 copper fittings on the truck to fix my leak. They had to go get them.
Total parts used did not cost over $10. Now for the real shocker.
They charged us $325 per hour and were here for 2 hours including going to get the fittings they should have had on the truck. Im not talking special fittings either.
They used two 3/4 tees a coupler and 1 elbow. Total cost $680.
They took advantage of my wife not knowing. I guess they make their living doing one time jobs and dont care about repeat business.
I will never call them again. I am going to leave re views on every site i can find just to warn people about their business pratice While C&W is definitely not the cheapest plumber in town, they seem to do good work.
I've hired them twice and worked with two different people. Keith was the most recent plumber and was very good: professional and interesting to talk to.
I recommend C&W, but you will pay for quality service. Thanks'''.
