We first used them when our water heater stopped heating fully. Our old water heater had a problem, but was not completely out.
I talked to multiple plumbers who did not want to troubleshoot, but only wanted to replace the water heater because of its age. When Austin Plumbery came out, they agreed there was a chance the water heater could be fixed and said they would try that first.
Unfortunately, the fix didn't work but I appreciated that they tried. And once we decided to replace the water heater, their cost was better than most plumbers I received quotes from.
I'd gladly recommend Austin Plumbery for any of your plumbing needs. Ben came to fix our sink drain and did a great job! He was quick but thorough, took time to explain what was going on, and was right on time.

Travis arrived - got to accessing the problem we reported and went to work on fixing the issue. First company that came out did nothing to truly access the problem; just stood in my bathroom and saw I was in the middle of remodeling my home and blamed the problem on "possible issues caused my my remodeling contractor" and gave mea quote of just over $1,000.
That company will remained unnamed- but part of their name has the words "pipe" & "Dr."... dishonest and just guessing at what might be my problem.

I called Austin Plumbery and they sent Travis out within a couple of hours. Travis was upfront with pricing and what the price included.
After agreeing to the terms, he left to gather the needed parts and returned within the hour to install the water heater. After completion, and for a small extra fee, he hauled the old water heater off for disposal.
The process was fairly quick and seamless. As far as customer service, Travis was equally professional and friendly, and made a stressful situation tolerable.

I'd originally reached out for help with an old water heater & the inspection/estimate service was great. At the time they didn't do tankless so I couldn't work with them but the plumber was so friendly & helpful.
Years later when I needed maintenance on the tankless they were able to help out with maintenance. They were easy to schedule, very communicative, on time, did the work & threw in some extra fixes at no additional charge.

Imagine a plumber so bad, or unfortunate, in his skills that he causes more leaks than he fixes. I wish this were a Chaplin comedy so at least then we could laugh afterwards.
(his work almost caused a fire and was got caught stealing something from our property) Austin Plumbery was hired for a relatively small commercial job in 2019 with a 5 figure quote. To their credit, the work order on the contract was clearly written out.
Joe, the owner & plumber, came to take on this job. At first, things were going swimmingly but slowly his attitude changed and everything he did couldn't pass muster in a biblical flood.
I will let the pictures speak but here's a quick rundown of what happened from my memory... (in order of inconveniences to a downright dangerous) BATHROOM - Joe ordered the wrong strainer for the 2 bathroom sinks.
(I researched and called many local commercial suppliers, drove to several locations and finally brought him the last two stainers) - Then Joe precedes to break one of them during installation (I locate another one, which takes a week to arrive and hand it to him) - Joe complains about not having the right drill bit for acrylic tiles (we buy it and give him one) - Joe installs both bathroom sinks at the wrong height and w/o any real support (which we fixed ourselves!) -- see pic - Both bathrooms have had a leaking problem ever since OUTSIDE - Joe can't get the manholes to line up and asks us how it should be done (really?) - Joe doesn't pour enough dirt to pack the grease trap before the asphalt work. (We lost at least a month fixing this, costing us $10k+ and further upsetting the landlord) -- see pic - Joe decides to leave the roof exposed to rain after pulling in the gas lines -- see pic KITCHEN - Joe manages a major leak on the ceiling while installing a water pump (damaging the LED lighting fixture and panels) -- see pic - Joe installs RPZ (for CO2 lines) in a manner that it fails an RPZ inspection (costing additional $95) -- see pic - All 4 brand new kitchen sinks leaked at one point or another after Joe installed them.
(More weeks go by trying to get them fixed) -- see pic Other bullshit & theft: - Joe's sidekick pretends to not speak English - Before leaving one day, Joe decides to grab and throw a box of lighting fixtures in their blue van. Then make up a story of how someone told them it was okay to take.
(classy Joe) - Trying to get a hold of Deborah (owner/daughter) to response to Joe's poor workmanship and shenanigans *If this wasn't bad enough, it gets dangerously Joe* Joe thought it would be a fantastic idea to connect the GAS LINE to a piece of cooking equipment by *simply* hand tightening and saying a prayer. He couldn't be bothered putting any additional material (tape or sealant) to make sure that GAS DOES NOT LEAK CAUSING A FIRE BALL.
Guess what? Yup, almost caused a massive fire -- SEE PIC Thankfully, quick action prevented serious injuries and a major disaster to the building. Lost a day of business and have lived in anxiety ever since.
Can this much dangerously incompetence work be willful ignorance or simply unfortunate series of mishaps laid at the feet of one Joe the Plumber? We shall never know. The only comforting note I can add is two other young men who came to fix Joe's work seemed more professional and knowledgeable.
But when Joe the master plumber and his sister run the company, I wouldn't let him come turn my faucet off. We had a toilet that has been leaking for some weeks, I tried to give it a fix myself but it wasn't working.
I'm always skeptical to call any plumber just cause of bad experiences in the past. But I'm glad Austin Plumbery is who came to help.

He identified the problem and confirmed that the unit needed replacing. After collecting the service call fee, he said he'd send me an estimate.
I never heard back from the company even after calling into the office multiple times. It seems like they are more than happy to collect the service call fee, but if the job isn't that exciting, they'll just ghost you..

I would not use another plumbing company after my experience with Austin Plumbery. We bought this house a little over 2 years ago.
It was built in the 1970's and needed a little TLC. Through general plumbing issues that have come up and DIY home renovations gone wrong, I've used Austin Plumbery about 6 different times and I continue to call them because of the responsiveness, availability, quality of work, customer service and reasonable costs.
I have used two other companies on occasions Austin Plumbery didn't have availability and they were not pleasant experiences, not to mention the amount that charged for the level of service needed/received. Travis came out yesterday to fix a pipe that cracked during the recent freeze Christmas Eve.
We realized there was a leak Christmas day, I messaged them that night and they responded within an hour for availability first thing the next morning. Travis was communicative and even found and additional problem and fixed everything and we were more than happy to pay the amount charged and it was reasonable and within budget.
I've also found Austin Plumbery is the only place to charge a service call fee, but applies it toward the costs of service if you go with them. Everywhere else it's an additional fee.
Which is an additional pain when you're desperate for services. I will continue to use Austin Plumbery and recommend them when folks mention needing a plumber! Travis and the plumber he was with did an excellent job.
We had multiple breaks in a couple copper pipes and they fixed the problem quickly and inserted a different type of pipe. I could tell they sensed the urgency and problems home owners were dealing with because of the storm.

Woah I first learned about this company through my home warranty company, which pretty much gave them free reign to charge whatever they wanted, but the gentleman came in, tightened a couple shower handles and solve the problem in less than 30 minutes. That's why I looked them up when I needed to pay for something on my own.
They quoted me fair prices for a couple of items, ended up resolving one of them without having to charge me, and over delivered on the replacement of some upstairs shower handles. I'm super impressed with the company and also Travis specifically.

Glad to have found our new plumber! Our house is about four years old, and was already having issues with water pressure; if I had two things running at once, they would both lose pressure, and the pop-up sprinklers didn't even work. Austin Plumbery sent out Travis who dug around our water line and found that the PRV was rusted.

Thanks y'all! This is I think the third time I've used Austin Plumbery. The first 2 times were for plumbing issues, this this third time was for a gas leak.
Travis was on time, as usual, friendly, professional, and found the gas leak quickly. Funny enough, the leak was coming from the HVAC system, which I had just called not 2 days earlier for someone from the HVAC system install team come and look, because that's what I thought the gas leak was coming from.
The HVAC technician didn't find the leak, so I thought it was the water heaters, nope! Travis inspected both water heater lines, and found no leak, but inspected the HVAC system, and found it right away. He took a video of it to show me.
Thank goodness for a knowledgeable plumber that not only knows how to fix problems, but fixes mistakes that other companies didn't even find, when it was their responsibility!
