As you can see Colleen has responded to this message.
Yet failed to respond to the messages in the actual service messaging. Thanks for proving my point for me.
Avoid. Services Water tank installation, Water heater repair...Leaking!! These people are Fraud and scammers for our hard earned money...on October 15 the service manager Nick Povio calls on October 16 .....me tell another lies ...that he would fix my problem No Charge ...this time and gives his personal contacts, but he Disappeared...again despite me calling him almost dozens times! Now let's confirmed they are utterly Fraud and money sucking company with no value to their customers! Today I checked and my 2-year old water tank is Leaking profusely! Water all over laundry room! Shame on you Binsky! I used Binsky for my water tank replacement and installation couple of years back.
Now the 2-years old water tank is Leaking and Water tank supposed to last for ..twenty years. More so I have been trying reach them for last two weeks they are completely irresponsive and they have no respect for a customer who has signed their annual maintenance membership -- they are not returning my calls.
So please be careful of such fraud Binsky Home Service company -- they are here to take your money but don't serve -- their customer service is tragic! I am tired of dealing with these guys. Shame on you Binskey ! This is an update to my strong and last negative lfeedbacks on October 15 the service manager Nick Povio calls on October 16 (quite surprisingly prompt for the first time ) me tell another deceptive story that he would fix my problem no charge this time and gives his personal contacts, but he disappears again despite me calling him almost dozens times! Now let's confirmed they are utterly fraud and only value their dues and no value to their customers! Today I checked and my 2-year old water tank is leaking profusely! Shame on Binsky! Had sewer work done on my home, they contract out and have NOT to this date (5 months and 4 calls later) provided me with paperwork or warranty information...DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
I MADE!!!! Go to another more professional trustworthy company! Our furnace died. Gave them a call, next morning they came out to see if it could be repaired.
No luck. They gave me a good price and 2 days later we had heat.
Binsky Heating & Cooling is poorly operated, bad workmanship and not adequately insured. On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 21, Binsky punctured the water pipe in my neighbor's unit when they worked on his HVAC system.
The water came to my unit and flooded my laundry room. Binsky did not give us any notice after the incident had happened.
We found out the water damage when we returned home that evening. Remediation was delayed because Binsky's manager did not agree to provide us with room accommodation so we could sleep through the night as the remediation would blow several fans non-stop for several days inside the home.
After many phone calls and days of waiting, we finally heard they were going to report the case to their insurance company. Two and half months have passed, as of today, the insurance company has not paid us any compensation for the damages nor the loss of use that Binsky caused.
I would not hire Binsky if I have HVAC needs. We called Binsky to help with some electrical needs.
We scheduled time with them for a week out. When the day and time comes, no one shows.
We call several times and are then informed that due to other needs, they have to cancel. They can reschedule for another week out.
Terrible service! I should have listened to the other reviews! I was charged $237 to replace a light switch! The technician didn't even have to turn the electricity off. I'm trying to find out why a $10.00 light switch costed $237!! AND wanted to put the old wall plate back on!! I won't use them again.
POOR QUALITY, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Called Binsky's Home Service division because my sewer line separated underground. They immediately responded, diagnosed the issue, and provided a competitive quote for the work.
Unfortunately the experience was downhill after that. They subcontracted the work to ACE plumbing who caused thousands of dollars in damages to my property throughout the replacement.
Getting in touch with Binsky's plumbing service manager was a nightmare, had to continuously call their front desk and hope that I'd get a call back. After multiple calls he finally came out to see the problems himself but failed to get anyone to show up and rectify them requiring me to hire other contractors to fix the issues.
I canceled my service contract with Binsky Home in May of 2021. In June of this year, they began charging me the monthly premiums of $15.94 once again.
When I called, the agent informed me that instead of cancelling my contract, the agent gave me a free year membership unbeknownst to me. The agent acknowledged the problem, canceled my service and issued me a refund on August 15th, for $47.82 (June, July and August).
To date I have not received my refund and I have called numerous times. Whenever I am issued refunds from merchants, they are normally posted to my account within 72 hours.
I have written to the Better Business Bureau and they are investigating. What a total waste of my time...buyer beware! SCAM ALERT!! I cannot believe the experience I just had with Binsky.
I subscribed to their Partner Plan so I called to arrange for a winterization service. My system was working well when they came but the serviceman told me one of my furnaces was about to go - he said I should consider replacing it sooner rather than later.
he even showed me photos to say here're were holes forming in the furnace and this is very bad. Conveniently he said he could have someone come over in a couple of days to give me an estimate for a new furnace.
Within hours of him leaving my house the rooms serviced by that furnace were cold and temps dropped to 58 degrees. Someone from Binsky came into my home and tried to sell me a new furnace for $6k+ and she said I should probably replace the air conditioning system as well for a great deal of another the $6k.
Only hook was I had to commit that day to get the deal and they would come in right away to do the work. I do not react well to pressure sales and wanted a 2nd opinion.
PSE&G as well as VanNatta Mechanical came and said absolutely nothing was wrong with my furnace. PSE&G were here first and said the only reason I did not have heat was because someone had turned off the valve to send heat to the house!! He turned it back on and lo and behold - we had heat! Both PSE&G and VanNatalie said they were absolutely no holes in the furnace.
I immediately called Binsky and cancelled my subscription to their Partner Plan. This is very serious - the Binsky people seemed so nice but they were lying to my face and tried to rob me of $12k.
Shameful! I signed up with their partner plan because I thought it was a good deal. I used to deal with Dennis, who was honest and reliable.
He is no longer with the company now and conveniently the last two times they came for their seasonal checkup, something broke the next day. I don't trust them.
They also cancelled my last appointment 3x because of staffing issues. Canceling my partner plan and looking elsewhere.
Last week my thermostat had an X through it and heat was not working. Searched YELP and saw reviews and called them.
The tech was here within two hours. It wasn't the thermostat but the furnace which was over 30 years old.
Their salesman came out and we decided to do the furnace and central air system. They had it installed within 24 hours The only issue we had was the rep talked to us about adding an air scrubber but neglected to add to sales order.
But after speaking with him they sent another tech to install it and all is good I recently moved to New Jersey and found that the previous owners had falsified documents declaring AC/Heater to be in good working order. I had several companies bid on the project and decided to go with Binsky.
They didn't quote the best cost but I selected them based on quote in the right ballpark, demonstrated knowledge at the time of quote as well as consistency. I also gave some weight on Yelp reviews.
Two, technicians showed up on time on the day of installation and were very courteous and professional (most of my interface was with the lead). I periodically checked on work and the quality of work was very good (and detailed).
The one downside was that, after 12 hours, now 8p and on the day of the Ida storm, they had not completed the job. The A/C and heater were working fine but they didn't connect the humidifier.
The lead tech told me the office would call to schedule the follow-up. I waited more than a week (considering impact of the storm), then contacted them and got a date for finishing the job, a few weeks after the install.
There was no big issue since not using the humidifier but this indicated issues with their scheduling of work. The person that visited our house to respond to request for quote portrayed themselves as more of a senior technician but is clearly a sales person.
However, she was very attentive and checked with the office quickly on the few questions that arose. Also, she was hesitant to propose a needed upgrade to the existing unit and more followed by lead.
However, after having a signed contract pretty much disappeared from the deal leaving me with no direct contacts at the office for issues. Binsky could improve upon that by having a direct contact identified from beginning to end.
There's also room to improve scheduling and proactive follow up to jobs. I still recommend Binsky as a good option but, should install be delayed, I suggest withholding an pay amount commensurate with the work yet to be performed.
I scheduled service over two weeks ago. They were supposed to come to my home on 11/17 and called me on 11/16 at 5 PM to tell me that they can't make it.
This is the type of service this place provides. She told me that they have a staffing issue but it's calling me the day before to cancel.
Dishonest and inconsiderate of others' time. Highly skeptical of previous Yelp reviews, especially since many of reviewers have only 1-2 reviews.
Details: Scheduled appt multiple days in advance for earliest in day 8-8:30am. No show until receiving call at exactly 8:30am letting us know "they had mixed-up phone numbers and weren't able to confirm day before".
They then let us know they would be coming "earliest in day between 9-9:30am". We reluctantly said okay to keep the appt, waited until 9:30am but no-one showed up.
In January we had Binsky replace a failed heating unit in our home. The salesman was at our house the next day with a quote.
The price was fair for the near next day install. The installation technicians were friendly and accommodating.
Where the company falls apart completely is accountability and responsibility. That same evening after the installation the unit started making a whistling noise.
The noise was reported and the earliest availability was the following week. So they'll take your money fast enough but will install faulty or unreliable equipment.
To this day the unit still makes the whistling noise and we have had 3 services, the 1st, it's your ductwork and filters, if that was true why does it take 15-20minutes for the noise to kick in. 2nd, it's your blower, I did not visibly see them swap the blower and cannot confirm, but the noise returned.
3rd, "it's your settings on the blower, they are too high for your system", CFM dropped to bare minimum levels. The noise is back now that we need heat.
Oh, did I mention that the AC conveniently wasn't working come summer. The technician, "it happens".
The Heating installers replaced the R-22 refrigerant for whatever reason in my unit with R410A. Of course you can't test the AC in the winter, so it seems awfully coincidental that the AC stopped working just after the repairs.
Status: new equipment, a whistling noise Binsky will not fix, 11 months of headaches. I would not recommend them as they don't stand by their services.
SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! PROMT!!!! I thought the 5 stars were to good to be true. I was wrong.
The furnace blew out on us two days before severe cold weather was going to hit! With our luck it happened late in the evening and we were having trouble finding someone after hours. I called Binsky and spoke to the manager.
She was very professional and polite and reassured me that she can have a technician come out as soon as possible. With in the hour their technician Rob arrived and tried trouble shooting the system and unfortunately he was unsuccessful.
Heaters were provided in the intrim. Not once did we feel the only solution was a new system.
Rob was very professional and knowledgeable and gave us options. He answered all of our questions and made us feel very comfortable doing business with this company.
The sales manager Kelsey DeAngelo contacted me bright and early the next day to get this taken care of right away. Through the entire stressful process of worrying about replacing the entire unit or just the part, Kelsey was great! She expressed that her priority in whatever decision we made was getting the work done as soon as possible.
She was very patient and professional. I HIGHLY recommend this company! They take customer service to the next level! We will definitely keep doing business with you guys! Thanks again Binsky! I could not be more disgusted with Binsky home services.
After four trips to our home and $1400 to try to repair our Utica boiler, they left empty-handed. We still have no heat and the unit leaks all over the floor.
I would not recommend them to a dog. Clown shop with incompetent management completely focused on upwelling work, no care or focus on customers.
Tech was late, couldn't find problem. No call back to resolve.
Went elsewhere. Other tech found problem immediately.
Heat is working again Nicholas and Luis provided great service. Along the way they explained to me everything that they were doing and why they had to do it.
When the project was finished they demonstrated how to use all of the new equipment. Not only did they arrive on time, but they finished ahead of schedule.
A+ quality service, I recommend Binsky Home to anyone looking for service to their heating/ac units. By far the best price when I needed emergency service a week ago and they even loaned me free portable AC units till my job was complete.
Easy, fast, and like I said, the best price in the area. So happy I went with Binsky, if you do too, ask for Nicholas and Luis! I still have warranty on the part of my air conditioner, they said they will not charge my part when repair, however, the labor cost they charged me was unbelievable high.
I truly feel that what so called warranty from Binsky is useless. No matter what, they will charge you with the same amount of money unless the labor is still under warranty.
Also, I tried their services 3 times already, believe it or not, every time they will say they are "missing" certain part and waiting for their partner to deliver. They will stay at your place for doing nothing but charge you more hours of labor cost, so be aware their tricks!! we unfortunately had to call Binsky Home for service again because our AC unit was acting up again.
I called for an appointment and requested to have Dennis and they promptly gave me an appointment for the next day. They had given me a window of time of 12-4 and I received a call that morning that Dennis would be in around 11am .
He showed up and accessed the problem quickly. We had to have the Fan replaced so he removed the fan and went to get a new one he was back within and hour and replaced it and everything was good as new.
Dennis is just a top notch guy , very friendly and knowledgeable in his field. When ever in need service in the future I will definitely be requesting Dennis to access the problem.
Kaitlyn took my initial phone call. Jason followed up and came to my home for an estimate.
Going from an 81 year old boiler that was originally run with coal, then converted to oil.....to a new gas boiler was a big job. New gas line was run, massively heavy cast iron boiler filled with asbestos was removed, new boiler and hot water heater installed, chimney was lined with stainless steel, oil tank removed, new smart thermostat installed.
Jason gave me a competitive price, as I had gotten 4 other estimates. The price was locked in and I was not asked for one cent more upon completion.
Kaitlyn in the office coordinated every step along the way in the most courteous and professional way you could ever want. I was not without heat, as the ONE night I had no boiler, I had space heaters that they provided.
The workers, including Dennis, Randy and Shawn were ALL pleasant to have in my home, explained all work as it was done and cleaned up well. Whoever runs this company evidently knows how to hire good people.
They ALWAYS showed up the days promised, and on time. I didn't need to get a broom out ever.
I honestly am impressed beyond belief. This just doesn't happen.
This review may seem like a friend of the company wrote it, but it's an honest review by a random customer. I'm happy to write it.
I spent A LOT of money needless to say, but at least I'm happy I did! I found out about Binsky yesterday after meeting one of the technicians. I sent an online request for plumber service and received a phone call 15 minutes later to schedule an appointment.
The same technician came to my home and fixed my shower within 30 minutes. Very happy with the customer service and the quality of work! Had a simple kitchen sink clog, they did not resolve it.
Told me I needed to cut my sheet rock, replace small section of galvanized drain pipe (maybe I do but not now). Told them I had this issue about 3 years ago and someone had resolved the issue by sending down a snake and bit.
Binsky charged me $275 for attempting to clear my kitchen drain. Was still clogged/very slow to drain.
Today, I called Roto Rooter, they unclogged the drain within 45 minutes and charged me $200. Very disappointed with Binsky.
These guys are life savers. Received a call about 30 min after my initial call.
I was walked through the issue over the phone and what it could be. Took 5 min and saved me a ton by hitting a reset switch in my attic AC unit! So why was this so important that I needed someone help on this Saturday of the 4th of July weekend...I'm leaving in the morning to fly out and didn't want this lingering over the weekend only to come back to a hot home.
I also have a 2 year old that was starting to get cranky because of the heat. These guys are clutch! Thank you again! I would never use Binsky Home again.
They charge for a contract, then they try to over charge you for any work that is preformed. Never even fixed my problem! Any time I have called for routine maintenance, we have received the same person, Nick.
He is extremely professional, knowledgeable and honest. We have had to call for additional service, plumbing and AC and have had nothing but great experiences with anyone they have sent to our home.
I would recommend Binsky Home to anyone. They are honest and fair with great customer service and professionalism.
I called them to get a furnace and boiler estimate due to their great reviews. They also are very pleasant on the phone.
I had Amanda come out to explain my heater options. She was an hour and a half late, but company let me know why, and let me know new arrival time.
She was very helpful and answered my questions well, and had a technician call and talk to me also when she was at my house, who answered more involved questions. I am impressed by their company, and will decide after a few more estimates, the best company for my replacement of furnace and boiler.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - I purchased over 10,000 in equipment (new furnice/air unit) and have continually had problems with them over the last 4 years with keeping appointments for service calls. They show up 2 hours late, and have cancelled appointments after I've taken off from work to be home.
No respect for customers time. My patience has run out.
SHAME ON YOU!!! I used Binsky recently to get an assessment of my air conditioning unit. They were extremely friendly over the phone and it was very easy to set up an appointment that met my scheduling needs.
The gentleman who came to my home was extremely professional and personable. He took the time to answer all my questions and I felt like he gave a very fair assessment of what was going on.
I would highly recommended them! The greatest con artist who came to my apartment in thirty years was from Binsky Home/snyder; called because a laundry sink pump was dripping though I'd not done laundry for weeks. He
