Highly recommend! I contacted Stutzman when I needed help with a sprinkler system repair. The person I spoke to was not helpful at all.
10/10 would hire Stutzman again. Excellent service, quick and knowledgeable, top quality work.
Everyone we encountered in that company was absolutely exceptional. Do not hesitate to call them.
You won't be disappointed. 76% increase in rates in two years.
January 31, 2022 they came out and performed a "Conventional Submersible Pump Maintenance" on my well - Water system inspection, pressure tank recharge, submersible motor diagnostic and replaced the Control Box, Pressure Gauge and Pressure Switch for $425.00. On March 1, 2024 I was told that same service is now $750.
$425 to $750 is a 76.47% increase in 2 years 1 month. March 1, 2024 they performed a "Water System Inspection" on my well of controls, submersible motor diagnostic and performed a pressure tank recharge for $265.00.
When they came out January 31, 2022 that same service was $150.00. $150 to $265 is a 76.67 % increase in 2 years and 1 month.
While using CPI data, the average inflation was 8.0% for 2022 and 4.1% for 2023, yet Stutzman Services feels justified in raising rates over 75%! This is robbery and pure greed and expresses this company's lack of concern for their customers. I'm not sure how Stutzman Services thinks they will maintain a loyal customer base with unsubstantiated rate increase like this.
I know I am no longer a customer of this company. I own a business too and see no reason for a 76% increase in rates over the last two years.
Not to mention four weeks later I am still waiting for the quote to replace the tank I was told I'd receive within a few days. We made an appointment to get a quote for the installation of a new toilet.
Everything went fine. But, we never heard back from them.
It has been almost two weeks. I refuse to call them.
We got someone else. I do not recommend this company.
Called Stutzman to do a hose bib install. It was easy to schedule an appointment and there were multiple communications before he came to my house, which I appreciated.
Aaron (plumber) explained everything that he was considering in the job and consistently asked me if I had any questions as he explained things. I appreciated how thorough he was.
Shout out to Stutzman for the great service! Called at noon and new water heater was installed by 4. Everyone else was weeks out.
Thanks Steve u made my day! My sister-in-law had a clogged drain. She called Stutzman for a quote and they were there the next day.
She needed financial help for the repair and Stutzman billing was able to split the bill between Myself and Her and unclog her drain. This helped an disabled elderly person use her sink again.
Thank You, David We had an issue where we needed a plumber to come out to fix a leak where 1000s of gallons of water was blowing past the water meter. I had called one company and was told that it would be weeks before they could come out.
Another plumber wouldn't call me back. My spouse and I were cold calling plumbers, and we discovered Stutzman Services.
They came out within a couple of hours and got the leak fixed. The man who came out was professional and explained what he had done.
I will definitely reach out to them again when we need plumbing work done, which quite honestly hoping is a long time from now. Thanks for the great job! My mother-in-law is a long time resident of Albany Oregon and recently lost her husband.
She needed a toilet seat installed and contacted Stutzman. She informed us that she charged a total of $130, $60 for the service call and $70 to remove the old seat and install a new seat (2 screws).
We live in Oceanside Ca and she doesn't have family nearby. It appears that your business took advantage of an elderly lady.
She is on a very fixed income and is still in the process of removing her deceased husband name from a variety of accounts. Not a very good business practice Christmas day all of our plumbing began backing up in the shower/bathtub.
I waited until the next day to locate a plumber - the first four companies/people I called were unable to help and lacked any compassion for the situation. From the moment I called, to the services rendered - Stutzman Services was AMAZING.
They were able to get someone out to us the same day, Casey the technician was patient and efficient. The cost was significantly less than what we had expected.
Without a doubt, they will be our go to for any plumbing needs! I contacted another contractor to fix a broken valve on my irrigation backflow prevention device but he no-showed. Out of desperation, on Friday heading into a hot weekend, I called Stuzman Services.
Dave was in the area and was able to swing by 3 hours later. We communicated by cell during the fix and I was able to stay at work for important meetings and pay Dave by giving him my credit card number over the phone.
The receptionist was pleasant and courteous. Dave got my irrigation system back online.
I appreciate Stuzman's diligence to fix my problem promptly. Thanks.
We were having issues with our current setup on your water filter and softener. After a consult and $3000 to upgrade, Stutzman's was more than eager to get the job done.
But after the job is done, don't expect any service or help. The water filter works great but our softener now makes the water feel soapy/slimy.
Literally feels like the soap is on your skin and doesn't wash off. Just turning on the water and not using any soap, the water feels like there is soap in it and doesn't wash off unless you use bottled water or water from a different source other than our well.
After several calls to Stutzman a service tech came out to check the heads on the filters and got a water sample. After explaining my issue, the technician said, "it was just oils on your skin making the water feel soapy".
That was on 4 Sept. 2020.
It is now. 18 Sept.
2020 and we still have not heard anything to correct our issue. So our only solution is to turn the valves part way on the water softener to have some of the water to bypass the softener so our water isn't so soft.
Now our water feels closer to normal after some tinkering with the valves. So be warned.
Don't expect any customer service from Stutzman after paying them. They just don't care.
We've used Stutzman Services twice to adjust our sprinkler system. As an organization, they're just great--they communicate well and their tech, Jake, showed up on time both times.
And Jake is the best. My goals were not only to get the system running better, but also to get an education so that I can fiddle with it myself if need be.
Jake's not only a great tech, but also a good teacher. I don't know how the experience could have been better.
And as for price, by my standards they're reasonable. Stutzman Services is another one of those local, family owned businesses that provides great personal, professional service.
Stutzman installed a well in one of my properties almost ten years ago and we have have worked together since. When my pipes froze this winter, they were there as soon as possible to remedy the situation and make sure our families had water asap.
When I had an underground leak issue yesterday, they located it right away and fixed it. Both Jeff (from well water systems) and Brent (from plumbing) are great to work with.
If you have well issues, need new landscaping for a property or you have a simple/complex plumbing issue, call Stutzman for fast, friendly and local service. #CorvSMB I called Stutzman Services about my well that stopped working.
The system was very old and I knew everything would need to be replaced, they came out and looked at it and said it would cost between 5 and 6 thousand dollars, then charged $197.50 for a service call. I called another well and pump service that replaced everything and it cost me $1737.00.
Less than their original bid and they did not charge a service call for the bid. Stutzman installed a pump in the irrigation pond at my farm and a few thousand feet of underground irrigation pipe.
The contract explicitly included and billed separately for installing tracer wire to locate the underground pipe for servicing in the future. The tracer wire was not installed.
I asked the company rep (Dale A.) whether it was installed and he said yes. I asked the company rep to show me where the tracer wire came out of the ground so I could connect to it.
Then he changed his story that he tried installing the tracer wire, but it broke during the installation process so he just continued with the job and assumed I wouldn't mind. He said he didn't feel the need to tell me or offer a price adjustment.
AKA he tried covering up his mistake because it was an expensive one. The system then did not hold pressure which implies a leak in the pipe.
The company rep said that it's normal for the irrigation system to not hold pressure. Did he think I am that naive? Not holding pressure implies a leak in the pipe they installed, but they wouldn't be able to find the leak because they didn't install a tracer wire so he had to lie or face a huge cost to fix the problem.
After escalating the problem as high as I could (and after the boots on the ground Stutzman employee expressed his embarrassment at his boss's behavior), Stutzman agreed to trouble shoot the lack of pressure and discovered a faulty valve. Whew, that's better than a having a brake in 2,300 feet of pipe that you can't locate.
Three years later the system has completely failed and the company is not willing to come take a look at how to fix it even if I pay them. I've already paid ~$30,000 to Stutzman and got some shady workmanship and a company who is unwilling to service their own installation.
Stutzman Services did a beautiful job on our landscaping. Their landscape manager took my initial ideas and improved on them.
He listened to my ideas on plant selection and worked with us to develop a plan that fit our ideas and our budget. Their work crew was very professional and did a good job.
I would definitely recommend them! I have used Stutzman Services in the past but I will not use them again. About 3 years ago, we hit an underground 4" irrigation main with a post hole digger.
I dug up an area to expose the leak and called Stutzman to repair the it since I had no experience dealing with a pipe that big. The cost was $700 which I felt was extremely high for the amount of work that was done (I had done most of the digging so all they had to do was the actual repair).
I decided then that I would try someone more reasonable next time. We stopped irrigating in early October but in December I noticed that my electrical bill for the irrigation pump was as high as if we were still irrigating and had been for nearly two months (almost $200).
I located the leak and when I dug it up I found that the repair Stutzman had made a few years earlier had failed. It appeared to me as though one of the PVC glue joints had separated and caused the leak.
I called Stutzman thinking they would stand behind their work and they said they would "make it right". Long story short, they re-worked the original repair and charged me over $625.
They did knock off 2 hours labor for which I was thankful but I expected them to stand behind their work. The re-work was only about $75 less than the original.
I called and talked to the manager but he was unwilling to do any more. He said that he didn't believe that the original repair was faulty.
That makes no sense considering the rest of the system which is over 30 years old is still buried and performing flawlessly. Only the part that they "fixed" failed.
Anyway, I won't call them again. There are several other businesses in the area who would appreciate my business and given this experience with Stutzman, I will not deal with them in the future.'''.
