From the beginning, The Plumbing Guy did a thorough evaluation of the problem (unlike others that I received quotes from) and gave me a clear understanding of all the issues. It was a HUGE undertaking but all the work was completed in 9 days.
The various crews (sewer line tunneling crew was different from the water pipe crew) were hardworking, efficient, and very nice and respectful of me and the property. When one crew finished, the next crew started with no time being wasted.
City inspectors arrived quickly as well (and passed the work) so work could continue. When work was completed, the area was cleaned and Paul made a final inspection to make sure there were no leaks, hot water was set at the temperature I wanted, and the water pressure was good.
Payment arrangements were 50% upfront with final payment collected after I was 100% satisfied. Paul and Shelly were great to work with as well as the various crews.

Took care of our install of a new sink and did the work well. We will use him again We have used The Plumbing Guy in the past for various clogs and leaks and have been impressed by Paul's promptness and efficiency, but we were never more appreciative of his services than we were after the February ice storm.
We had a burst pipe in our family room, and Paul came out as quickly as he could and spent a tremendous amount of time at our house making sure everything was repaired correctly. We also were concerned about a potential second leak, and were impressed that instead of hacking into our walls immediately, Paul was very careful and did some investigation of his own, ultimately concluding that what we thought was a second leak was related to the first.

I accidentally bent the pipe a tad to far and the pipe snapped, leaving a gush of water to continue to spew out for over an hour. I called out Paul in an emergency.
Once he got to our house he knew he needed more hands than just himself. He came back an hour later with more hands to assist.
They had to dig up first to get to our water meter reader which for some reason was under lots of dirt and grass to turn off the main water line and then they were able to fix the pipe. He and his staff went above and beyond on a Saturday well into the evening to make sure that we weren't stuck (with 4 kids) with out water to our house during the deep freeze we are about to have.

A simple kitchen faucet leak turned into much more and that's when we called for help. We let them know we were headed out of town and Paul was there the next morning.
He pretty much had to do "surgery" on the pipe coming in from the outside into the house. He was here 2.5 hours and did a wonderful job.

We noticed that we could smell gas whenever we opened our back door and went on the back deck. I called Centerpoint and they came out that evening, determined that there was a gas leak somewhere under our pier and beam house, said that it was our problem as the homeowner, and removed our gas meter.
I did not know where to start to get the leak fixed and was worried we were going to be taking cold showers for a week. All the Centerpoint guy could tell me was to find a master plumber.
That was actually helpful advice since I had no idea what type of professional would do such a repair. In any case, based on positive yelp reviews I decided to call The Plumbing Guy in the morning.
He was able to fit me in at the end of the day. He and Ben came out and ran a pressure test to find the location of the leak and located it there under our back deck.
Paul warned me that it wasn't an easy fix and also that if any gas-fed appliances were not up to code we would have to replace them in order to get a permit and pass inspection. He also warned that he might be required to replace a lot more than just the leaky pipe to pass inspection since all of our piping is super-old (our house was built in 1940).
The next morning he went to go talk to the West U inspector with whom he is on a first name basis and got the permit to begin work, he and Ben spent most of the day to complete all the necessary work and then he got the inspector back out later that day to "pass" the work, which he did. The inspector called Centerpoint there on the spot and told them to come out and give us our meter back and amazingly Centerpoint came by the end of the day and we were back in business.
The whole thing was amazingly and surprisingly painless. I just sat back while Paul took care of everything.
Just a couple of weeks later, my in-laws decided to purchase an expensive reverse osmosis water filtration system for our kitchen sink. It took my father-in-law two days to install it.

There was water gushing out from under the sink. This was on Good Friday.
My husband turned the water off and Paul and Ben came out within a few hours of my call. He did a quick fix of the saddle valve that came with the filtration system but warned that saddle valves are not really in use anymore and he couldn't guarantee the repair as he normally would.
Indeed we noticed the next day that there still water slowly dripping from somewhere under the sink. Paul and Ben came back out and determined that the saddle valve had actually held but that our faucet was leaking now and needed to be replaced.
So we went to Home Depot and bought the faucet and Paul and Ben came back to install it. They also fixed our toilet upstairs and the faucet upstairs.
Lol, our plumbing was a mess! For as long as we've lived in our house (3 years) you have to hold the handle down to flush the upstairs toilet for like 3-4 seconds in order for it to flush. They fixed that, no problem.
And the faucet upstairs was actually a repair of my husband's attempt to install a new faucet from Home Depot himself last year. The handles to turn the water on and off were all loose and wobbly and he never installed the drain stopper that came with the fixture set.
Again, they took care of that, no problem. So you see, I have had a lot of experience at this point with Paul's work and as I stated in the beginning, Paul really knows his sh*t! WOW! Fantastic, precise service and such a pleasant, easy plumbing experience! Spoke to Shelley after lunch and received a call back saying Paul and Ben were on their way later that afternoon.

One time the leak was a real gusher coming from the kitchen ceiling and another time several weeks later it was leaking, but there was much less water this time.
Tried several difference plumbers (recommended on Yelp), and they told me that the tub and shower in the bathroom from which the leak seemed to be coming was not the problem, but didn't have any ideas what the problem could be. Had a roofer out, who said the roof was not the problem.
It was Paul, The Plumbing guy, who persevered to find the source of the problem: the AC was draining the wrong way and going outside and pouring down the side of my house and then into the kitchen. Others literally told me everything was fine (REALLY? I watched the water pour down my walls and onto my wood floors) but Paul persevered to find the source of the problem (even though it wasn't a plumbing problem), was all over the outside and inside of my house and took the time to explain everything thoroughly and show me what the problem was.

I had called a larger plumbing company about my toilets, they said I needed to replace them both for a large price (you could tell they were working for commission). I called The Plumbing Guy, the plumber was on time, very professional, knowledgeable and honest! He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need which is refreshing.

Each time he's here he works efficiently and conscientiously - he never wastes time, is on time and, if a job is messy, everything is cleaned up nicely when he's finished. Paul's wife Shelley coordinates all of his appointments and is fantastic, too.
