Installation of Moen Flo Automatic Water Shut Off Valve which I purchased from Costco.com. This company is owned by Ryan (who will be your plumber with nearly two decades in the trade) and his wife Brooke (who is the scheduler).
Both are kind, honest, and unassuming. Personalized service; no huge team/overhead to support.
Ryan came in with the most competitive quote, beating out three other highly rated plumbers. Attention to detail: Before installation, Ryan tested my pressure relief valve (important for the Moen Flo to work correctly).
To fit my valve at my water main, I needed to add more length. Ryan does plumbing the classic way, by sweating and soldering the copper pipes as long as the space allows for it.
(I much preferred this over press fitting that other plumbers use). His lines were clean and well soldered and he even re-tightened / re-checked the press fittings that a previous plumber had done on a different section of the line.
I plan to be a repeat customer. My first reaction when I found out "Bob", the original owner of Bob the Plumber and his wife had retired, was, oh no, I hope the new plumber "Ryan" is as good as "Bob".
Worry not! Ryan and his wife Brooke have proven twice that they're up to the task! My first call to them months back was for a major bathroom leak that Ryan quickly found the source. He eliminated the leak, he further discovered that floor structure was wet with the start of mold.
Ryan recommended a remediation and restoration company who ultimately repaired the damage. Thanks to Ryan for not only the leak repair but for his thorough inspection of the flooring structure bringing to light the major damage.
My second call was for a slow drain and leak and again Ryan was punctual and quick to eliminate the problem. Ryan suggested using an eco-friendly product to keep all my drains clear, he certainly is looking after his customers.

Friends of mine had recommended Bob. They used him a few times and really liked his work.
They said he's honest if he can do the job or not. Bob was on vacation when I called so I left a message.
He called texted me on Sunday asking if I still needed a plumber. I asked for the quoted price and his availability.
He said he could be there by 2pm on Monday. Bob called to see if he could come earlier since he was able to so I agreed and had my tenant available to let him do the work.
He finished before I arrived. He installed the 1/2 hp instead of the 3/4 hp.
He explained that the 3/4 would have destroyed the sink since it wasn't that big or strong enough to handle the horsepower. (I loved that he explained the reasoning to which one was installed.
I'll explain a previous experience in a moment.) Overall I'm happy about his work and will keep him on my books for future repairs. (I had a different plumber (California Plumbing) the week before who said that the install of the new unit was missing a piece and that it would take him an hour to go to Home Depot to get it.
Home Depot is less than a 10 min drive (less than 2 miles.) His price was going to double so I declined. Plus, he said I could install either unit when I learned from Bob that this would have destroyed the sink with the 3/4hp and it would probably cost me over $1k to fix it if I had this guy install it.) Call Bob for your plumber needs.
Honest guy who knows what he's doing. I saw Bob the Plumber's excellent Yelp reviews and called about the slow draining tub in our 1915 historical home.
Brooke scheduled the appointment with me quickly and she and Ryan came out and took a look. Ryan had to dig into the tile near the tub to access the plumbing, only to discover that the tile was laid above four inches of concrete and the plumbing was encased in concrete as well.
What we all initially assumed to be a relatively small job turned into a big one. Ryan worked through the complications every step of the way, determined to clear the drain line.
After much work, he did it! The job cost grew with all his efforts, as it should've, but not unreasonably and he always kept me informed. Ryan and Brooke are awesome.

I broke my kitchen drain and called up Brooke and Ryan. They asked for some pictures, gave me an assessment of what they could respond with, and got me scheduled for a drain repair.
They were quick and efficient, I couldn't have asked for a better service call. The "real" Bob the plumber has retired.
Ryan, the guy he sold his business to, recently replaced our garbage disposal. He did respond sorta quickly, within 2 days, and he adequately installed the new one.
What I wasn't ready for was the up-selling. He said our 'angle drops' were old and needed to be replaced asap.
(200.00 per sink) then he quickly back pedaled and said they couldn't be replaced due to the type of piping we have. Then he said we needed a pressure tank on the hot water heater, and the valves to the water heater, and to the pressure regulator needed to be replaced, and we need a filtration system.
Yeah, I want the old Bob back. Woke up to leak in a pipe that flooded the wall/ceiling and floor.
Ryan came out within an hour on 12/30 and found the leak and replaced the pipe that was leaking. I contacted Ryan/Brooke to have our downstairs toilet replaced.
Ryan arrived on time and removed the old toilet, and noticed that the toilet flange was higher than the floor. To avoid water leakage and a wobbly toilet, he recommended we put tile in.
After everything was completed, Ryan returned and installed the new toilet and our small half bath looks really nice now. Brooke and Ryan were very patient and professional.

I wanted to install a stainless-steel utility sink in my garage, but I didn't have a drain or dedicated water source. I did have a small laundry room on the other side of the wall from the spot I'd place the sink (however, the floor in the laundry was a foot higher than the garage floor).
Bob came out and assessed the situation. He patiently described the extensive work that would have to be done, especially the problems in installing a drain pipe for the sink.
In layman's terms, he explained what made my particular job difficult and the extensive modifications that would be required. I asked, is it worth doing? Bob gave a cost-to-benefit analysis and told me it was not practical.

BOB!!! The great reviews on YELP are real! This man has been a blessing to me & my plumbing issues! Being a home owner one of the main things you need is a good honest plumber & I lucked out & got one, good OL Bob! First I like to say I called 7 plumbers & 3 of them were name Bob, so if you have a little boy & his name is Bob he just might be a plumber one day & if he is hopefully he's as good as this Bob. Any who out of those 7 plumbers only 3 called back one recommended me to another one because he was off that day, the other guy never answered his phone or called back I guess he was off too.
3 of them who I did talk too charged me more on weekends & charged me more then Bob charged me & Bob charged the same on weekdays or weekends! I also communicated with Bob on Yelp & phone, very pleasant & professional. I called because my washer machine was backing up with water he told me it might be because of my garbage disposal because their connected so I took care of that myself (I'm a bit handy) & I asked if he can come snake my washer & check my water heater & toilet that both had slow leaks.So he came right on time & he fixed my washer in less then an hour & told me what I already knew I needed a new water heater, I knew that would cost money no way around it but his price was better then the other plumbers.So I made an appointment for it, his really nice wife came with him & she was very kind & very helpful to him.

I have used Bob several times and have no complaints. I had a couple of plumbing projects I'd been putting off (the water shut off to the house was no longer working and a hose bib needed replacing but I couldn't get it off).
I'm not a procrastinator by nature but the last time I had a plumber out I had a major disagreement with the company. In the end they refunded part of the overcharge but it left a bad taste in my mouth and a wariness of plumbers and the potential for price gouging.

We had a slow leak coming from somewhere upstairs which caused drywall damage in our kitchen dripping down through the wall. I was worried that It would be major work and being a day before thanksgiving, quotes and work would be outrageous.
Plumbers we called wanted $125 just for a quote! Based on yelp and nextdoor reviews we contacted Bob the Plumber on Black Friday and made an appointment that day. Within an hour, he located the problem, which was behind another wall he had to cut open, repaired the leak and even installed a new shower head we were going to install ourselves.
He said it will take me 2 minutes and it was done. Him and his wife are real nice, and do honest work.

I posted for quotes on yelp to maybe 100 plumbers, half responded in 10 minutes, out of that maybe 20 gave an actual price for the job and bob the plumber was the most reasonable. And no unwanted advise to hydro jet, or send a consultant, or minimum hourly rates.
Other plumbers if you are reading this, if someone on yelp ask for a specific very simple job just tell them your best price offer, because the message was probably sent to 100 other plumbers. I learned a plumbing lesson a few years ago.
Different plummers have different expertise and equipment. I was looking for a new plumber to clear a main drain on the house, and found Bob via Yelp.
I called and he answered the phone right away, and after listening to my problem told me that he would like to call me back in about 10 minutes when his was finished with his current job. About 10 minutes later he called back and asked a few more questions.

Bob the Plumber to the rescue! I had a clogged toilet last November and spent a lot of money trying to fix it myself. Bought an auger, a special plunger, chemicals....nothing worked.
Finally called Bob. He had somewhere to go that day but he fit me in early in the morning.

Bob has done many smaller jobs for us over the years (ex. fix leaks, unclog toilets), and recently I decided to replace all three toilets in the house.
I got 5 other estimates for the job through Yelp, then remembered that I hadn't called Bob to get a quote from him. His quote was best; he and his wife and came quickly to do the job; and they knocked it out the whole job in less than 2 hours (and hauled away the old toilets).
I also needed a water spigot in the garage replaced and he came back to do that the next day. I am ALWAYS calling Bob the Plumber first for any future plumbing jobs in my house.

I hired Bob to put in a water filter system in my garage. He had to put a pipe through the wall from the outside.
He must not have had the proper tool to do this so he used a sledgehammer to make a hole. Every time I see the ugly hole I get upset, so I just texted him.
Thought just an apology would help me put this aside, but all I got were excuses. I sent a request to four or five plumbers over the weekend due to a leaking shower cartridge.
I wanted to get it fixed, but didn't want to pay a huge premium for weekend work. A previous local plumber I've used (and like) wanted a major premium to come out on a weekend.

He hasn't flinched when I try to pinch pennies--embraced it even! Never had a problem. All of it: solved, by Bob.

The only hesitation I have in leaving this review is that, once Bob realizes just how much value he adds compared to his competition, my clients might not get *quite* the deal they have been. It's getting harder and harder to find someone willing to provide honest labor for an honest wage.

Bob is a corteous plumbee that goes to the point, gets his job WELL done and is ready to leave fast!! Have used his services quite a few times on different plumbing stuff, always a job well done. Wouldn't call anyone else.
Fast and friendly service, I highly recommend this business. He worked on my bathtub and toilet.
Bob came in to snake the tub however wasn't able to successfully drain it due to it being a bigger issue so he only charged $20 for travel and labor which was very reasonable. I also had a wall heated that I was scare was leaking, bob made it clear from the outset that heaters are not his speciality but he ended up curing the gas to the heated anyway.
He came and did the job in less than 10 minutes. Great service Responsive, honest, top-notch quality, and unbelievable service.
I will use Bob the Plumber every time! Bob the Plumber helped us on multiple occasions on short notice. The first instance was when we had problems with our disposal leaking and it turns out the flip company that did our home cut corners and improperly installed the pipes underneath the sink.
The second time was an issue with our bathroom; the valve under the sink split causing water to spray everywhere almost flooding our bathroom. Bob was at our place within 20 minutes.
Not only did he fix the issue but kept the water damage to a minimum and installed a new valve that was much higher quality than what the flippers used to install the sink. Hands down a true pro and always has the customers interest in mind.
My wife and I are continuously grateful and refuse to use anyone else. Found Bob right on Yelp.
Partner called another plumber way unreasonable. Called a second guy too busy to even pencil me in and not personable.
Then came Bob, took my call, he said he had a couple jobs but can swing by after and to text him my details. He shows up, checks out the mess of a pipes we have, and said he'd have to come the next day after assessing the situation.

Great service and honest and quick and knowledgeable, extremely recommend this plumber if you live in the south area of San Diego I had a leaking pressure regulator valve in my home, located in the garage. It failed such that pressure was very high throughout the house.
The water heater was leaking too through its pressure relief valve due to the high pressure. Bob came by in about 30 minutes on a Saturday even though he was on his way to a family function.
He had the exact part I needed and fixed everything in 15 minutes. I was amazed.
