I called Bassett Services first, big mistake. My $90 service fee got me a great estimate of $1400 to replace my Moen leaking shower faucet or $900 to repair.

I moved on to Mark Cantrell Plumbing. Ron Mickley my tech was very knowledgeable, told me he has worked on Moen for 30 plus years and he was able to repair LIKE NEW for $380.

I highly recommend trying Mark Cantrell Plumbing they are fair and honest, no one likes plumbing and especially if you get ripped off!! Last year, I had emergency back surgery (and you KNOW what that can do with regards to plumbing.) Needless to say, I blocked up not one but TWO toilets. My poor partner tried with the snake, to no avail.

So I called Mark Cantrell; they couldn't come but sent someone from another company. He was very nice and spent about 5-7 minutes on each toilet---in and out (so to speak) in less than 25 minutes.

So imagine my surprise when I received a bill for $300 (I called another plumbing company which would have charged $185 for the same job). I tried to appeal to the woman who answered the phone to no avail, stating that the equipment was expensive (we bought one for $75), as was transportation costs.

When I pointed out, this job should NOT have been so expensive, I was met with Ms No Will Budge. I informed her that if I made $150 for six minutes of work, I could have retired at age 30.

I still did not prevail. I will not hire them again.

Outstanding service. We've had them respond to emergency plumbing problems three times--a water heater that failed on a Saturday, a clogged kitchen sink drain that was challenging to open, and most recently a leak caused by corroding pipes in the laundry room wall.

Pricing has always been reasonable, even when paying overtime for a weekend job. I've tried many area plumbers and these are the best.

I used them because I have a tankless hot water system and they are qualified to work on Navien hot water heaters. Have used them twice and they were prompt, polite and the cost both times was less than what I expected to pay.

I will absolutely use them again. If I could give no stars I would.

Don't get me wrong they do good work but they will charge and over charge you for things that are unnecessary work. They never gave me an estimate and when the work was finally done it was an outrageous amount.

I would never use them again and I definitely would never recommend them. Mark Cantrell Plumbing & Dave were excellent.

We needed lots of work done, from installations to replacing the sump pump. He came, worked extremely hard, talked us through each thing that he did, and was friendly through it all.

The office was responsive to phone calls and voicemails. Thank you! I recommend mark Cantrell plumbing.

They are honest with their work and they don't Buffalo you in stuff that doesn't need done. I highly recommend this company as the employees know their stuff and never have a complaint about their work and it's always done right the first time.

Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. Pricing was ridiculous, and no estimate was given, just an inflated bill at the end.

When challenged on the bill, they made a very minor adjustment on price because they found that they had added incorrectly. called them for a home repair and they responded quickly and professionally.

I was disappointed in Mark Cantrell. We had a fairly simple job that they gave us an estimate of $1900.

My husband and son did it for under $200. It did take 5 hours.

My husband thought the estimate would have come in from Mark Cantrell between $600-$700. We would have contracted them.

It was a huge disappointment. We won't call them again.

I have nothing bad to say about the work done by this company. The service line was installed and done well on our new home.

However, they were originally unable to get us on the schedule for over 3 weeks. We waited the three weeks only to be contacted 2 evenings before asking if we needed a different size pipe due to the distance it was to run across our property and when we had no idea- they called the gas company and said they were told it needed to be a bigger pipe that would need to be ordered and the work could not be completed for another 5 days.

I called the gas company myself after our new quote increased $700 as a result of this larger pipe, only to be told they could adjust the pressure instead -costing me little to nothing more. When we contacted the office back asking to remain on the schedule for the next morning As originally scheduled-we were asked if we could switch our appt time since another customer needed our date due to a pipe issue in her home.

We needed this gas pipe done to close on our home and had already waited over 3 weeks so politely asked to keep our appointment. Teresa came on the phone and said our home was less important than this others customer's issue so we WOULD be pushed back another 5 days.

She even took it upon herself to call back about two hours later and say " just a reminder of your appointment NEXT week!!!!" In the most condescending tone I have ever heard. Very unprofessional, very disappointing and that lady needs a few lessons in customer service.

I will never do business with them again and I will recommend the same to anyone who asks. You don't treat people like she treated me and my husband and if you need something done in a timely manner and wish to be treated with respect- I suggest finding another company.

It's a shame the poor customer service that is projected by such a hateful woman on this business. The other reviewers did not contract with Mark Cantrell.

They have always been fair, timely and impeccable with their work. I have contracted them on multiple occasions, from simple faucet and valve replacements to partnering with other contracts in new additions and renovations.'''.Read less
