I got recommended by a coworker who had her entire apartment done by them. I needed to redo my bathroom and add a stand up shower.

They laid out my options to match my desires. I explained I was most likely selling the place within 5 years and did not want to invest too much.

Jay gave me a lot of money saving tips that did not jeopardize quality. Best to tell them your budget and wishes and leave the rest up to them.

Like DDC says "We can do $10,000 bathrooms or $75,000 bathrooms" they have skilled workers who are clean and polite. Not your ordinary pushy contractors.

It was my pleasure to speak of my experience with DDC. Was worried at first because i've been screwed by 2 other companies (wont name them) and happened to discover dream design online.

Very impressed with this company. Redid my entire kitchen and sanded and stained my old wooden floors throughout my apartment.

Review and analyze now for company J F Plumbing and Heating and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Gene came out and fixed my issue with super-high water pressure quickly and cheaply. I talked to 3 plumbers before choosing one, and they all proposed something different.

Some recommended some very expensive fixes that seemed incomplete, and others weren't able to clearly explain why their solutions were appropriate. I was also able to call JF and talk to some of the more senior people there about my concerns over potential problems with the solution.

Their reasoning was clear and reassured me that it was ok to go through with the job. Gene came out from J F Plumbing and was extremely knowledgeable about what could be causing our plumbing issue and gave us options for addressing it.

Luckily the first and cheapest option did solve the problem! Price was fair and we got some good maintenance tips as well. We also appreciated that Gene was friendly and very courteous, taking his shoes off before walking on our white carpet, without being asked.

We would use J F Plumbing again in the future. Excellent work at a fair price.

Would certainly do business with them. Cover a large territory as well.

Joe from JF Plumbing and Heating responded to my plumbing emergency tonight (Saturday). He was professional, but very kind in calming my concerns about the problem - a waterfall from above in my apartment - and he diagnosed what needed to be done.

He got right to it and made sure things were working correctly again before he left. And he also cleaned everything up! The technician came into our home and did not even acknowledge our hellos or greetings which made us feel very uncomfortable.

When it came to look at our leak he was very unsure as to how to proceed, often asking us which parts of our walls and ceiling we would like for him to cut. He moved very slowly and did not give us straight answers about the source of the leak, wavering between possibilities.

Ultimately he was unsure as to the source of the leak. He said he could not do the repair on the same day (although we had been advised this would be possible when we made the appointment) due to him not having 1/2 inch CPVC pipes in the truck, but said he could wait for someone else to join him in two hours to do a same day repair.

He advised we would pay for his time waiting the two hours, at $125/hr. We politely declined.

The gentleman also took calls and was on his phone during our job. $350 for two hours of "plumbing" at a glacial pace.

Never again. Will and Joey showed up and time and were polite and professional.

They explained the what the issue was with the prior installation that another plumber had done and did a great job. Their price was reasonable (it's always more than I expect) but the service was good so it was worth it.

Called for emergency help and told to call for an apt Monday. When you have no water, it is an emergency and can't wait for Monday.

Always available and timely, I highly recommend JF Plumbing. Just moved into a townhome in Silver Spring and was already having some trouble with a couple of the bathrooms.

One was loose or something and leaked at the bottom onto the tile as soon as it was flushed, so that made a bit of a mess that had to be cleaned up. Another one had some deteriorating pump materials inside the tank, particularly the rubber flapper, that had come completely away from its connections and prevented the toilet bowl from refilling with water, so basically it would not flush.

Put in a maintenance request for all of this to be addressed to the property manager, and within two days of putting in the request, a plumber from JF Plumbing and Heating arrived, earlier than the four-hour timeframe the company had originally indicated, and he got right to work and was done within 15 minutes. Fixed both toilets; basically the one that leaked had to have a bolt re-tightened at the bottom that holds the commode to the floor, and the other one he put in a brand new, functional rubber stopper.

I was expecting to be there at the house all morning waiting on a plumber, but he was quick and I ended up going back to work quickly. So glad they were considerate of other people's time and appreciate them for sending someone who took care of the problems.

I also liked the fact that as soon as the plumber noticed all-wood flooring in the home, he tied plastic bags over his boots to ensure he tracked no moisture or mud through the home. I had them come out for a leaking spigot.

They were able to come the next day, and got the job done quickly. Very professional, courteous, and friendly.

Everything seems to have been done right, and they took excellent care of the property. The tech did a great job.

I had a horrible experience. I used them to put in a heating system which cost me $5000.00.

Two technicians showed up. My basement was full of boxes because I had just recently moved back to the U.S.

Some had been opened and some had not. I stayed around most of the time but when one technician needed to go up stairs to work on the thermostat I went with him and the other was no where in sight.

When I returned to be briefed on the completed system, I noticed boxes and other items had been moved around. Reluctant to accuse them of stealing, I let it go and said nothing.

As it turned out they stole boxes of household items which included African bronze statues, polish pottery serving dishes, memorabilia, Waterford glasses, expensive pots and pans, etc., that I had accumulated over 20 years traveling with the U.S. Government.

When I got around to calling JF Plumbing about it, the company representative was very, very rude. I took my time calling because I felt they would not be supportive and I was right, he displayed poor customer service, attacking me and saying that their technicians would not do such a thing.

As it turns out, the person who recommended JF Plumbing apologized to me for recommending JF Plumbing because the same technicians that put in my heating system ripped her off as well. I would not recommend this company for the reasons listed above.

The technicians stole items valued over $3,000 dollars ....a big tip! They promptly came out for a service call to wack me for more than double the going rate. For nearly 25 years, this plumber has been my first choice.

Their response is fast, courteous, and the quality of workmanship excellent at reasonable prices. The owner, John, has personally supervised work at my house on several occasions.
