The most recent service call was due to the water shut-off system for my townhome not working. After trying to get the shut-off valves to work, it was determined that they need to be replaced.

This was not a surprise to me as they have not been used for a very long period of time, so are "frozen" in place. Blake explained in a very understandable way the steps that will need to be taken to fix the system.

He also took the time to "teach me" actions to take to winterize the townhome and provided me with a great document for doing so. Being from the Bay Area, let's just say I needed some training.

The one thing to know is that b/c Blake is so good, he is often booked up, so your best bet is to try to book his services preventatively or at the first hint of trouble, rather than for emergencies. We ended up losing heat unexpectedly on a weekend during a storm and had to call in another local provider b/c we couldn't get to Blake, and we got totally ripped off with service far inferior to his.

It was August, a busy vacation time, when we discovered that rodents had settled into the duct system and done a lot of damage. We had renters coming in, and needed to get this resolved in order to fulfill that commitment.

Called Marshall Plumbing to come out to our house to correct another contractor's shoddy work. Blake Marshall arrived as promised, studied the installation of our new, whole house Humidifier, and identified and corrected a couple of problems within 15 minutes of his arrival.

This new humidifier had not been running previously and after a day, or two, some steam problems arose, again from the previous contractor's shoddy installation, I described these to Blake through an e-mail, and he was able to suggest things to check, which corrected the problems. 1. Broken Water Heater (leak)- Showed up immediately after call.

This was an emergency and he treated it as one. After about 5 min of looking at it he found the main issue and was off to ace to get the correct part.

This issue was fixed within an hour and I have not had any issues to this day with it. Oh did I mention that he had another job going on at the same time but because this was an emergency, he came to me first.

2. Install new faucets on sinks- This was a little easier of a task but figure I would get it done right instead of possible messing this up myself.

Again, fast and reliable service was the name of his game. He was there later that day after he had finished up laying gas lines at someones new house, and installed the faucets in the blink of an eye.

Literally like 15 min. It actually kinda made me feel dumb because he mace it look so easy.

But overall I am glad I had him do it. I have had no worries or issues with leaks, plus the house looks so much better with the new fixtures.

His follow up is amazing and he was right on time. I needed two bathroom faucets replaced, a shower head replaced, a malfunctioning tub faucet replaced and a leaky outdoor spigot fixed.

It's about 50 years old with some crusty plumbing. A plumber we'd had earlier totally botched the job, causing a leak in our second floor shower which sent water down to the first floor.

Blake -- recommended to us by a home inspector -- corrected the problem, installed new valves, shower arm, and shower head to our complete satisfaction, and resealed the downstairs toilet which the other plumber incorrectly installed. My wife was also impressed by his fastidiousness: drop cloths wherever he walked, and little plastic booties covering his shoes to avoid bringing any dirt into the house!
