The contractor failed to identify a discontinued part despite claiming familiarity with it, damaged existing work (unfixing a faucet repair), left work incomplete due to poor planning (wrong screw length), and charged $250/hour for substandard service. The customer had to redo the work themselves. While the contractor did attempt to save money by directing the customer to a supplier, this does not offset the fundamental failures in technical knowledge, workmanship, and project completion.
