First of all, I have used Affordable plumbing (Avi) about 10 times for different plumbing needs to my house as well as my 2nd house at the back. This guy always comes through with quality work every single time.
It is called Affordable plumbing for a reason. I assure you he will not rip you off unlike the major name plumbing companies.
His prices are really that affordable. I had trouble with my bathtub which was really clogged up and needed it fixed.
I called a few places just to compare their quotes and the quote Avi gave me. I was really surprised how much cheaper his price quote was.
So I called Avi a day before to confirm for the following day. Avi came on time and communicated with me well on both days and he went straight to work.
He said it will not drain with the snake and thus I would need to replace my old metal pipe to a new abs plastic one. This required a lot of work.
He had to crawl underneath my house to cut out the old metal pipe and put the plastic one in. I was watching him the whole time and he is very meticulous with his work.
I turned on the shower and faucet to make sure it was draining properly and was very pleased with the work plus he did it for an affordable price. Avi has also fixed my toilets when they wouldn't flush, my kitchen sink when they were clogged, my bathroom sink when it wouldn't drain, my washing machine when it wouldn't drain properly as well my water heater when it was leaking (saved me a lot of money on that one) or else I would have to buy a new one which is over $1,000.

Showed up at my place telling me that changing 2 existing shut off valves under the sink involved "cutting studs" (which was a complete and total LIE) Refused to provide me with a fixed estimate - a total "hustle"...
Run don't walk away from these shysters! Last minute, I needed to get some pipes replaced before a new washing machine could be installed. Avi came early the next morning and solved a lot of problems for me! He explained what parts he was replacing and why he was replacing them, which was very useful.

I had a blocked kitchen sink, which sounds like no big deal -- but Avi got to the bottom of a chronic issue that we had no idea was connected to the sink drain. The line from the sink was just so full of sludge that not only was our sink backing up but the dishwater air gap was shooting water everywhere.
We had three previous plumbers take a look and no one figured it out until Avi. We also had a toilet that was wobbly like an uneven restaurant table.
He removed the toilet and found that the guy who installed it did it wrong. You could tell by looking at it, but when it's under a toilet you don't see it.
Anyway, he fixed our water pressure in both showers as well. And not only was he reasonable -- he was worth every penny.
He's my go-to-guy now. Plus, my dog liked him...
We had a severely blocked line to the sewer and Avi did a terrific job. Our clean out line was inside the house and this presented a real challenge.
So he and his crew first detected where the line went out to the street and put in a new clean out line outside that connected to it. This led to him successfully cleaning the roots out and the system is working fine now.

A sink over-flowing with dishes and there is a puddle growing on the floor in front of the sink. I turned on the water and the puddle quickly became a lake.
We called another plumber Mike Shine Bright Like A -------. DO NOT USE THOSE GUYS.
Came out and told us we needed to completely re-plumb our sink and that he would need to come back in the morning and drill through the wall to make a new drain. We were told $3000.
If it weren't for my friend looking on yelp, we might have gone with it. She found Affordable Plumbing on yelp with all of the great reviews--We paid the Mike D guy $300 and sent him on his way.
Called Avner--it's almost 11pm at this point the night before Thanksgiving. I think we woke him up.
We tried to explain the problem, took pictures etc...and he said he would come by but he would change $1000 or more depending on the problem. What were we going to do? So, Avner came by and within 10 minutes had fixed the problem.
He then said he would only charge us $300 because the job was much easier than he thought. Needless to say, we tipped him very well.
The sink is fixed to this day. Haven't had a problem since.
Best plumbing experience I've ever had horrible. spent thousands of dollars on different services.
when my water heater that they installed less than 2 years ago it needed an ignition kit that they had to pick up from the distrubitor that they purchased the water heater from. I cant do it its free - warranty item.
Iwas going to pay for the installation but instead they said they won't do it. Ok ? but kept wanting to waste my time telling me to call the gas company to come light the pilot.
thats not the issue. so frustrating they are not inexpensive, do an ok job, but don't back up any of their work.

guy who will take the time to explain to you what is going on, and this is an issue in L.A. because with all the crappy old street pipes it is sometimes hard to tell where the problem is.
The last time he came we lived in Hancock Park where the pipes are literally 90 years old and often wrapped with tree roots. We have since moved and I need him again and there is no one else I am going to call.
