I'm just like a previous reviewer, I like to do my homework! Five solid stars, per yelp "Wooohoo! As good as it gets!"--perfect description here! I had a few projects around the house that needed attention, nothing that was an emergency. I had a few plumbers come out.
One took notes and said he'd call me with a quote, welp that never happened. Second guy also took notes and emailed me a quote.
He bid was incomplete and everything as a stand alone: $110 for this. $500 for that, $225 for the other, yipes! With Randall he was already here for a major job so gave me a by the hour on the other simpler work, even down to 1/2 hr increments, I thought that was more than fair.
Randal came ON TIME, called once he was on the way from another job, emailed back to confirm, I mean, this guy is a true pro! He's friendly (with out being too familiar). He's respectful of my time and home and (yes) my budget.
He bid on the work with a very fair rate. One job in particular was going to be tricky and potentially VERY costly (I knew that from talking to the other two guys).

We called him in for a second estimate on running a gas line for our BBQ. The first plumber was recommended by our home inspector and he quoted a price that seemed rather high so I wanted a second opinion.
Not only was Randall's quote less than half what the other plumber estimated, he also debunked a lot of what the first plumber was telling us about our gas lines. Randall was on time for both the initial estimate and install appointments.
He explained everything thoroughly and in terms we could understand, and he was a pleasure to have in our home which you unfortunately cannot say about every contractor. He even dealt graciously with our barking, crazy dogs.

I called him on a Wednesday, to install a tankless water heater and he came over on Friday, he spent a couple of hours to find the best place to put it in( everyone else took 15 minutes and wanted to install in the same place as the existing water heater). It was a little tricky but he found the best place.
Later, he managed to slot me in not two weeks after in July ( height of renovation season). The tankless was installed in about two days; heremoved the existing water heater, cleaned up and it passed inspection - no problem.
It works beautifully. Randall was easy to work with, pretty adaptable and he actually likes his job unlike the rest of us ;) He takes a lot of pride in the job.

He did both jobs quickly and efficiently, even when the original installers hadn't done as good a job as they could have towards ease of future maintenance... Randall's work was clean and neat, he explained everything he was doing and why, and he took away all the old, worn parts & pieces that were trash - though leaving us the original tub diverter spout, since that could still have some value.

I was doing all the work myself, but plumbing is beyond my expertise so I decided to outsource that to the experts. Randall was perfect.
I asked for a lot of things that are far outside the proverbial "box." Randall put a drain in the floor below a clawfoot tub and worked expertly with very high end plumbing fixtures for the tub. They supply lines and shower plumbing we used are all exposed chrome so any small mistake would be highly visible.
Further, the tub and plumbing went in with less than a .25 inch clearance from the wall and went onto marble tile over a poured concrete pan. All of this is waaay outside of a normal bathroom remodel (I never manage to do anything the easy way!).
Randall was just perfect. He installed everything perfectly.
All of this required him to work at a custom level which he could not have done better. His fee was very reasonable considering the scope of the project.

His sound advice help save us hundreds of dollars. We had a bad smell coming out of our kitchen and bathroom that came and went from time to time.
We had other plumbers come in and recommend service that was basically an up sell and we even bought one of them on a new "P" pipe only to find out it wasn't the issue at all. Randall came in and saw the issue that another plumber found and quoted us less.
The issue was our laundry drain was simply draining into the dirt under our house and was not connected. Since we were on a slab foundation this cost to break the ground and access the pipe was the option that another plumber gave us.
Costing us hundreds more to fix. Randall with his creative thinking said to run the pipe outside and connect to another drain line which was genius.
It saved us a lot and especially time with having to break the floor in our house to reach the pipe. Randall took care of this all in one day.
