Review and analyze now for company Excel Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Bob was great! Had a problem with our outdoor faucet. Knowledgeable, personable and got the job done quickly.
Would absolutely call again. Thanks! Excel Plumbing deserves a 5-star review.
Very professional process from start to finish; quick receipt of estimate and prompt appointment confirmation. Bob the plumber arrived on time with the appropriate parts and did an excellent job replacing a tub faucet cartridge.
Much improved water pressure. Very knowledgeable and polite.
Will definitely use them again in the future and provide a recommendation to any of my friends. Highly recommended.
Thank you. Excel has done Several service calls to my wheeling home, and always timely and effective communications with their dispatch.
They offer quality workmanship and I use them for anything plumbing related on my home Timely, professional, competitive pricing. Repair of older Kohler shower fixture.
Will use again! We have used Excel several times over the past few years and are very pleased with their services. Services have included a new sump pump, water heater and other plumbing needs.
They are very responsive to what we see as emergencies. The plumbers have all been professional and have done a great job.
We are always advised when the plumber is on the way. We have recommended Excel to others as well.
Quality work at fraction of price our normal plumber was going to charge to install new bathroom faucets. Will be using this service provider going forward.
Requested a quote on a simple plumbing task (bathroom faucet replacement) and got an auto and ridiculously inflated $250.00 This is not a difficult task. It's doable in an hour.
I was feeling lazy, so I just wanted to see if I could outsource this... Do these vendors think Yelp users are not excellent comparative consumers with critical thinking skills? MoG and Jeezus H Christ.
Water heater died and they were able to get me a winning quote and get it replaced same day. The plumber, Yuri, was courteous and did a great job, even made sure to bring the water heater through the back.
Excel does a good job of communicating where they are in the process, I'd recommend reaching out to them if you ever have an issue they can help with. Always excellent service.
Kelly at the front desk is an excellent communicator. Egor's work is always fantastic.
Good value for money! I am very happy with their service & communication. I had an under the sink leak I could not cure.
I had a stove top gas line issue & a whole new Moen junction to be installed. I will definitely consider them my "plumbers" for future needs.
A special shout out to Tony for helping me secure the correct Moen parts. Reed Oliff Needed to have a cartridge replaced in a tub/shower faucet.
Great response time, was able to complete the project in one trip. Rates were very comparable.
A minor adjustment was needed later and again had great experience. Team member Luke made sure all things were corrected.
Had me double check as well. Would definitely recommend.
Would ask for Luke again. They text and call with arrival updates.
We had a bad kitchen sink leak. Water was everywhere under the sink.
Excel answered my message on a Sunday, and got a plumber out in a reasonable amount of time. The plumber told me that needed a new faucet and one shut off value no longer worked.
He recommended changing both valves at once, which we did. The plumber got everything done in one visit, and even went to Home Depot to get a needed part (at no extra charge).
Price was very reasonable. Plumber was very courteous.
Everything works now. Will use Excel in the future.
We had a leak in one of our toilets and I called excel plumbing and they were able to get someone out that morning. They were very responsive and did a great job.
We are very pleased with Excel and the tech Bob. We will use them again in the future.
This is the second time we've hired them to clear our interior main sewer line which had started backing up. They were quick and efficient.
Price was competitive. I've used their services several times.
Outstanding work and service. Prompt, polite, and professional.
Don't hesitate in using their services. Bob came out yesterday to help fix numerous plumbing issues.
he was so so wonderful. He fixed/ordered parts/took care of all our issues.
he was a pleasure to work with....professional, efficient, clean. highly recommend!! Bob from Excel plumbing was just great.
Patient with me on questions, explained things & very timely & efficient with his work. I do use excel regularly & will continue to use them.
And especially if Bob is going to be on my job. We had pipe burst in our basement.
Excellent came out immediately. They worked with me to figure out where it was coming from and made sure they only had to cut drywall where was necessary to get to the problem.
They were able to fix the issue quickly and recommended services to help with the drywall and insulation replacement. Would highly recommend Egor did a great job installing new pipes under the kitchen sink.
Highly recommended! If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. I definitely found my plumbing company and would say plumbers of the year...or century for that matter.
I had just moved myself from the Southern CA mountains back to Buffalo Grove where I also owned a condo (arriving on a cold snowy Saturday night). The condo had sat empty for some time so upon arrival, there were many items that needed immediate service or replacement.
At the top of the list was my water heater that would not put out any hot water. Based on reviewing the water heater information and date, I needed to have my water heater replaced immediately.
I survived the weekend with freezing water, and found Excel plumbing through a personal recommendation on Monday morning. I called them and Mike took the call.
He was so kind, understanding, professional, and asked the right questions. Based on my information he gave me a very fair quote, and was able to schedule their technician Denny to come out the same day to replace the water heater.
My garbage disposal had also stopped working the night before, so Mike offered a very fair quote on replacing that as well. Denny was an amazing talented plumber.
He was professional, respectful, focused, skilled and thorough. He replaced the water heater, a bulb valve, and the garbage disposal.
He was conscientious to keep things clean and cleaned up more after the jobs were complete. The final price was what Mike originally told me it would be.
The water heater and garbage disposal are working perfectly. Also, when I called in with questions, I spoke with Kelly who was kind, caring and patiently answered my questions.
Excel Plumbing has a great team which can be rare to find these days. I would only call on Excel Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.
I had Excel Plumbing come to do a drain rodding, since the quote from J Blanton seemed extremely high of $407. The tenant reached out to Excel to ask what it would cost to rod a drain and they replied with "$279 but that could increase if its more complicate" The managed to clear the pipes by rodding the drain and the total cost was $279.
I appreciated the upfront pricing and coming in a timely manner. thank you! I had to have our kitchen sinks unplugged and was in somewhat of a time crunch.
I called several plumbers and wasn't happy with the answers I got in terms of time available and costs. When I contacted Excel, they were very responsive to my needs and quoted what I felt was a fair cost as compared to some others.
I also asked if they had either military, or senior discounts and they did. The best part was that they were at my home in less than an hour and Yuri, their plumber worked quickly to unclog the drain.
Should I need a plumber again, they'll be the first one I call. We are so happy we chose Excel plumbing! Our first conversation and scheduling with Mike were fantastic.
He gave us clear and precise information and a good price on what we needed and he was able to schedule us the next day. The next day Luke showed up right on time and even gave us a call before to say he was on his way.
The job had a few minor set backs but Luke was cheerful and helpful and handled it like a pro. He did an excellent job and cleaned up so well you would have never known anybody was there.
I would definitely recommend Excel Plumbing! I had a great experience with this company. My water heater sprung a leak late in the evening.
Luke came out and did what he could, but it was a lost cause. He was back the next day with the new water heater and installed it for us.
Everything went smoothly. Luke was professional, friendly and knew what he was doing.
I had never heard of this company before, (found them on Google) but I'm very impressed. From the dispatcher I spoke with on my original call, to the woman in the office who kept me informed the next day about my appointment, to Luke himself, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I highly recommend Excel Plumbing. they were very responsive in providing a price quote.
Their pricing was competitive. Once we signed for the deal they were able to provide the installation quickly.
T he removal of the old tank and installation of the New one went as promised. They were on time and did a very good job.
No complaints Wonderful experience with Excel Plumbing! Kelly from Customer Service was so patient and communicative, and Kurt was really knowledgeable, fast, and efficient with the work. Highly, highly recommended! Very professional, courteous, and competent company all around.
Had an ejector pump fail that Excel had installed 6 months prior. They would not warranty the pump because they said it was clogged but could not provide proof or photos.
The plumber used our kids you bin lid to protect his knees from sewage and then put it back like it was fine. He "finished" without resealing the ejector pump lid and left the exhaust unconnected to the external line so it reeked like sewage all through the house.
We asked Excel to confirm he re-sealed it and they confirmed he did. They sent him back out the next day when we saw it was not sealed or even connected.
Instead of coming to the door, the plumber parked in front of the house then left, claiming no one came to get him. We confirmed with our doorbell camera he never got out of his truck.
Just parked then left.... We will never make the mistake of using excel again.
$2,000 dollars worth of pumps and damage later. An embarrassment to service professionals.
Stay away! We had an emergency plumbing issue with a leak from an outside gasket. We usually have a plumber that we always go to but was unavailable so we called several companies next.
Excel plumbing was the quickest to not only respond, look at pictures but also to follow up to set up an appointment. They came the next morning since we could wait a bit and they fixed and replaced the gasket so that it won't be an issue through the seasons.
I really appreciated their thoroughness, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly and quality of service Here's what you need to know: AMAZING service and communication, coupled with very fair pricing. It's shocking to see a plumbing company get service, availability, communication, and pricing so right.
I Called for a drain unclog for a rental unit, and they were amazingly prompt and professional. Their service call free was only $29 and that too was waived when I secured a follow up appointment.
I called late on Friday night, they still answered (not an answering service) and set me up with a next day weekend (non-emergency) appointment and gave me a rough estimate over the phone. The plumber went out on time the next day after coordinating my tenant, performed the inspection and a test drain unclog but decided NOT TO CHARGE ME (even though he went out and did some of the work) because he advised that the drain is not clogged, it's a worn out flushing mechanism.
Eventually I have re-engaged them for the following weekend to replace the toilet (which I'm buying on my own to save me money) and they are offering a very fair price for the replacement. Excellent service, best I've ever had from a plumbing company.
Both Maureen abs Oksana who helped set up the appointment for me were as efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable in their advise and communication. Fantastic.
I will start this review by saying that the technicians that came to install my new water heater were SUPERB. They needed towels to clean up after themselves and I provided ( should those have been brought? -I'll let you answer that) Now, to the meat of the reason why this review has only 2 stars.
The angry person in me wants to give one but based on PRINCIPLE AND RESPECT I'm not going to give a trash rating just because I'm livid. I purchased the water heater for $1750.
My old water heater which needed to be lit by long stem lighter was not working and I asked if a tech could come out and spend 5 minutes to light it so that I could have hot water in my residence. I was told that they could "walk me through the lighting process but nobody was available to come out" I'd already scheduled the replacement of the old water heater for the new and yet that SMALL COURTESY WAS NOT PAID FORWARD! Instead, I got the aforementioned answer which I took as "Hey, good luck playing with that gas knob, hope you don't blow your S$!& UP" MESSAGE: IF SOMEONE IS A REPEAT CUSTOMER AND PAYING OVER A GRAND THEN TAKING THE TIME TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE HOT WATER IS NOT A CHORE, ITS COURTESY AND RESPECT!!!! There was NO RESPECT SHOWN, NO COMMON COURTESY! The three stars are purely for my service techs who got the job done and did it fairly quickly and efficiently minus the whole towel debacle.
As for the business side, all I can say is that energy is reciprocated, do unto others as you'd like done. Etc etc etc.
we ALL know how karma works and that respect is paramount. (At least that is something that was drilled into me as a kid so I expect we all know) The reason for the minus of three stars, one name, MIKE.
I called and told this guy my issue with COURTESY AND RESPECT not being paid forward and he did a little chuckle. A smug, foolhardy chuckle and said "it's not that serious".
WELL MIKE, it is. I Took this personal.
I Won't forget. Got a quote through the app for the water heater fix, very fair quote compared to others.
Had someone here next morning, prompt and they did the job plus fixed an issue with my water heater drain as well. They did a great job overall.
I just had Excel over to auger a toilet and they did a great job. Excel fit me in their busy schedule within a couple of days and Luigi N.
showed up right on time. He cleared the clog quickly and made sure that the clog was completely resolved.
He was very polite and professional and took care to do a good job. I highly recommend Excel Plumbing (and Luigi N.)! You have absolutely no idea how important a water heater is to your home, lifestyle, and well-being until it decides that it has had enough! After more than 10 years of service, our 6-year Bradford White water heater started to leak profusely from the top.
Having had mixed experiences with multiple local plumbing and HVAC companies, I decided to finally give Excel Plumbing a shot at installing a new Bradford White water heater--and that seems to have been a great decision! Reasonable pricing, consistent communication, professionalism, quality equipment, and products, and no upselling. They also helped with City of Evanston permitting.
Ed C. Thom, Dmitry, and everyone involved were fantastic.
As a real estate broker, I highly recommend Excel to my clients and colleagues! Fantastic response and friendly technician. This is our 3rd time using Excel, and not our last.
We've used Excel for a number of projects and have been loyal customers to them, but our recent sump pump line project has been a nightmare. They executed the project in an extremely haphazard way with no pride shown in the work quality.
They dug 150' trench through the yard which was expected, but overfilled it with dirt so that it is at least 10-12" higher than the rest of the ground so it cannot be mowed and basically divides the yard in half. It is an embarrassing eye sore that our HOA has asked us to fix.
Additionally they left a giant sheet of plywood in the yard that we've asked them to pick up. They've even called us telling us that the plywood has been picked up, but it's still in our driveway a month later.
We have called and spoken to them no less than a half dozen times asking for the situation to be addressed and rectified. We've sent pictures via text to them.
They've assured us multiple times it is being taken care of only to never have it addressed. The customer service here is inexcusable and I don't know how else to get through.
Spend your money with a company that appreciates your business and values you as a customer. My water heater was leaking so I called Excel based on their Yelp reviews.
From the moment I interacted with Kelly and Maureen over the phone and Kurt replacing my water heater, everything went very smooth. Great people to deal with.
Kurt was very thorough in explaining everything to me. He was also very quick and efficient in his work with 20 years of experience to back him up.
Excel also had very reasonable and competitive rates. I would strongly recommend this company for any of your plumbing needs! We called on Excel twice in a 2 week period for service at our son's new but vintage home.
Overall, it was a very positive experience. The first time was for a battery backup sump pump installation before winter.
The scheduling and quote over the phone with the office staff was painless and informative. And it was a firm quote with two different options: if a new primary pump was needed or not.
The technician was friendly, clean and did a great job figuring out the convoluted mess of plumbing in the basement and was meticulous in getting things done properly. The only somewhat negative experience was that I got up for an 8am appointment and they called that morning to reschedule to that afternoon due to an overnight emergency.
Not a big deal in times of COVID when a lot of people are working from home but it delayed plans for the afternoon. The second visit was more of an emergency with a leaking toilet that needed a new wax ring.
I called the day before and they came out first thing the next morning as scheduled and on time. Work was done efficiently and the plumber was clean and friendly (again with booties and a mask).
Overall, we would call Excel again for plumbing service. I feel their prices may be slightly higher than others based on other firms I called, but the work is good and I like the fact you get a fixed quote for the work up front! None of that: "oh, we have to install this part and that was not in our estimate." Maybe you pay $30 more sometimes, but I feel in the end it gives you peace of mind as there are no hidden fees, trip charges, or you are not sitting there in your house wondering if you are getting milked while some plumber goes out to their truck for 10 minutes to get a part and you are getting charged by the hour! Unfortunately did not have the outcome I was hoping for! Called Excel and told them I had antique 1970's American Standard toilets that needed to be repaired.
Whoever I spoke to said he knew the exact toilets I was speaking of and told me they would have the parts in the truck. The repair man came told me the toilets needed new valves but did not have the parts and had no idea if they could get them.
He told me I'd be getting a quote in a few days. I decided to try to get the parts myself.
I was able to find them at a local plumbing supply house that specializes in rare parts. In the meantime I got Excels quote.
The quote they gave me for parts was 3x the amount I paid for them, plus an outrageous amount to install them. Too bad, I thought I found someone to work with me! On time, polite and great service.
would rehire again for any other plumbing jobs. A good value.
Excellent service and cost Darned Yelp wants me to write an essay. Excell plumbing is great.
Excellent service and cost Darned Yelp wants me to write an essay. Excell plumbing is great.
The sewer line rodded and it works now no more clogged The job was serviced by Ted and would be recommended for anyone looking for sewer line cleaning to contact Excel Plumbing for services Extremely unprofessional. Quote given beforehand was $250.
When the plumber showed up the quote was suddenly $550. When we declined that quote we were asked to pay the $49 show-up fee.
We also declined to pay that because they breached the deal. Furthermore the plumber showed up without a mask and didn't even take his shoes of.
Extremely unprofessional. Update: The office manager called us after an hour or so to apologize for the behavior of his colleagues.
He assured us that we would not have to pay the $49 show-up fee. To make things right he offered to honor the initial quote, but he didn't pressure us into a decision.
This was a very professional and measured response which we appreciate greatly. I asked for a quote through Yelp.
I received an immediate response and a prompt appointment for a walk-through. Unfortunately, after that, we were ghosted.
We had paid only $29 so I wasn't too worried, but it was frustrating. It took several calls and a Yelp message to get someone to call me back.
That manager was very kind and respectful, but hadn't spoken with the individual who had come out to do the walk-through, so I felt like we were starting at square one. We decided to go with a different company who had more professional continuity from start to finish.
Overall a very good experience and we plan to use Excel Plumbing for our plumbing needs going forward. Egor came out to fix our leaking backyard faucet.
He worked with us to figure out a solution to fix the faucet without having to cut a big hole in the drywall on the other side of the wall by going to the store and finding an exact match of the faucet that was leaking. It was a reasonable cost for the fix and saved us from the pain of having to fix the drywall.
Very much appreciated! Just had our water heaters go out in the home we bought last year ( water heaters were only 6 years old and one exploded)... I called excel last week and they were responsive and quickly came over..
We have a large home so we needed replacement water heaters that could handle 6 bathrooms/ two laundry rooms... They also noticed that our sump pump had been malfunctioning and gave us a quote for it...
The service was fabulous, price was slightly higher than the other quotes I got but their team was the most skilled .. Do NOT recommend! Well they came out promptly and fixed two slow moving bathroom drains, cleaned shower drain, BUT they charged $450.00 for a whole twenty minutes of work.
Drains didn't need rodding, he just changed the stopper mechanism on one that had broken and cleaned a hair ball out of another. I was thinking because Union Plumbers run about $50.00 per hour, and he spent less than five minutes in each of three drains that I'd be paying $150.00 at most.
Boy was I wrong. He hands me invoice for $450.00 and my heart almost stopped! How do people justify that? I talked to the guy for ten minutes about kitchen faucets so at the most he was in and out in a half hour or less! That's $850.00 per hour! Insane! Never again! I recently hired Tony C from Excel Plumbing and couldn't be happier with the service.
They were responsive in all aspects of the project and up front with pricing and discussed all options with me beforehand. Additionally, Tony was approachable in his customer service and efficient with the job that I needed done.
I thought pricing was very fair as well compared to other quotes I received. I highly recommend Excel and will definitely do so in the future, as well as recommend them to friends.
I contacted Excel for a quote at the end of the day Friday. My usual go-to plumber still has not gotten back to me.
Excel responded right away and in minutes I had a time scheduled for an estimate. Their communication continued through the day Saturday.
While we found a different solution and ended up canceling our appointment, based just on their responsiveness I'll contact them for site the next time o have a plumbing need. Incredibly professional and communicative.
Luigi went above and beyond to fix our problem. he was very well prepared and very knowledgeable.
We were so thankful that he didn't give up and found a solution to our problem. We are very very happy and very please with the service he provided.
We are definitely coming back to Excel in the future Excel responded promptly and remedied the clogged toilet within minutes. The bathroom was clean after their departure.
We can always rely on Excel plumbing to get the job done right and at a reasonable cost. They are very courteous about advising of timing of the technicians.
Technicians are knowledgeable and polite as well..Have used them over the years for complex jobs such as installing a new water pressure pump to toilet repairs. It's every homeowner's nightmare: the water heater decided to crap out in the middle of winter.
Great. I instantly took to Yelp and found Excel.
They responded to my inquiry within a matter of minutes, and about an hour later, arrived at my place to take a look. The guy that came was extremely professional and knowledgeable.
Being in Sales myself, I can instantly spot a hard-sell. This was not the case at all.
He gave me a few options, with pricing, and advised me of what my best options may be. Once we agreed on the course of action, he worked to get both of my existing water heaters removed, and a new 75-gallon installed, the SAME DAY! The installers that came later that day did a great job of keeping everything clean and tidy.
I couldn't have been happier. Totally satisfied with Excel Plumbing.
Their prices were fair and service was excellent. Showed up on time and were efficient at getting the job done.
Highly recommend them. Initially they were responsive and seemed to follow up.
But after they mid-diagnosed a problem with my sump line and $1,900 later they will not get back to me to discuss any solution. All this occurred during the wettest spring we've had in years.
My situation is worse before they arrived. Very responsive and professional They came and addressed the problem as we discussed My water heater went out on new year's eve and I couldn't get it relit.
I called a few plumbers and they all wanted to charge me an emergency fee of $200 to come out that day for an estimate. Excel was on-site for a FREE estimate within a few hours.
The plumber (Dan) got our pilot light relit and didn't even charge us for it, just wrote up an estimate for a new heater. This earned them a customer for life! We agreed that we wanted to replace the heater but wanted a few days to get through the new year.
Turns out, life had other plans. Two days later it went out again.
So, at 6pm on a Saturday I called Excel fully expecting to need to page someone after hours and be charged an emergency fee. To my surprise, someone picked up at the office on a weekend, and they were able to fit us in the next day (a Sunday) for no extra charge! Luigi was on time the next day and took proper COVID precautions to make myself and my family feel safe during his install.
There were some weird things with pipes that needed to be rerouted, but he took care of everything needed for the originally quoted price and was fast and efficient! Excel plumbing has earned a customer for life in me. I can't recommend them enough! My shower had very poor water pressure and I was worried about possible leaking.
The shower handle was also very old and the water mixing cartridge didn't seem to be working well anymore. Excel Plumbing was very fast to respond to my inquiry and actually read the answers I provided in regards to what I needed done.
They were very quick to send someone out (like next day) to look at the problem and give me a quote. Kurt L.
Was on time, polite, and quick to diagnose the problem. He gave me a quote for the work that needed to be done and took the time to explain the issue and how it would be fixed.
The cost for the work and parts was very reasonable and the explanation was very straightforward. Excel made sure that Kurt L.
was also the same person to come back and actually do the fixing--it wasn't a necessity for me but it was very nice and appreciated. Kurt again was on time, worked quickly and cleaned up after himself.
I couldn't even tell he had been there! Our new shower works amazing now. Thank you so much! I am definitely recommending both Excel and Kurt to everyone I know and will continue to work with them in the future.
Highly recommend this company. Prompt service, very reasonable estimate after receiving outrageous ones from another for unnecessary work! Yury was polite, a very hard worker, efficient, and made sure everything was working before he left.
I will definitely use Excel in for my future needs. Excel took care of an issue I had with my guest bathroom toilet a couple years ago.
They were so awesome and reasonable I kept their card magnetized to my fridge. Late last week my toilet started leaking again so I called them for an appointment.
Since it was not an emergency they scheduled me for today. They arrived within the window provided and the plumber was amazing.
I honestly forget his name otherwise I'd provide it so Excel could give him further kudos. I'm sure I'll be calling them again soon, not to fix this issue, but it appears they also do HVAC and I think my system is in need of a tune up! I had Excel come out to rod my kitchen sink drain..
We thought they got it the first time, but it kept backing up.. There was a 30 day warranty on the work so I had them come out again.
Alex used a different approach and cleared the obstruction. I was happy.
Then several days later, there was another invoice for the 2nd trip. I called and asked them why I was being charged twice for one job that had a 30 day warranty? They reviewed the billing and waived the 2nd charge..
I think they came through with the fair business practice and would use them again. Excel defines a repair as coming out and performing work, even if they make it worse.
Be very careful of their up selling. $550, becomes $925, becomes $1475.
Then they want you to think its a bargain when they offer to reduce to $1125. Definition of repair - fix or mend a thing suffering from damage or a fault.
1. Called Excel to fix a faucet leak.
We were told the job couldn't be scheduled yet and couldn't give a date, because they didn't have the part. I asked for part information, so I could supply the part and the part immediately magically appeared.
2. We were told there were two separate and distinct viable options to fix the leak.
After talking and verifying with repairman, we agreed to the option for $550 vs. $925.
3. Excel plumber fixed it.
It failed a couple days later. Leak even worse than before.
4. I called to verify there would be no additional charge to redo same "repair" work.
This was confirmed. No charge.
5. Another Excel plumber came out called and mumbled something about the new cartridges not being under warranty.
Couple days old. Made zero sense.
Tried to bill me despite us being told no additional charge. Now wanted $925 on top of the $550.
Furthermore, he said he left everything the same, but turned off the hot water at the main which would remove hot water from tenant. Obviously then, not everything the same.
6. Leak now worse than when issue started and out $550.
7. I called the office.
Rep said give me 20 minutes and I'll call you back. That was the last I heard until I called back.
8. Now Excel explains the $550 "repair" work as exploratory.
9. Excel answer regarding the false statements - "There just dispatchers".
10. Paid an additional Excel visit/estimate charge to repair a back flow valve.
Took the money, never provided the estimate. EDIT FOR BUSINESS RESPONSE: IF YOU HAD TOLD ME BEFORE HAND YOU DIDN'T KNOW THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK, I WOULD HAVE MADE A DIFFERENT DECISION.
I had to Anthony C came out to my home and was very professional the entire time. He was very knowledgeable about what he was doing and he took care of exactly what I needed to in a timely manner and I was very pleased with the work that he completed at my home! This guy knows how to lay pipe! I'm sure once these guys come out I bet they do good work.
My frustration is that I just bought a house that's having some plumbing issues. Called Excel and they sent a guy out.
Think his name was Ronnie. Super nice guy, was giving me tips and tricks since I'm a first time home buyer.
But after spending about an hour looking at my pipes he stated he wasn't able to give me an estimate and he would need to talk to his boss.. that was Wednesday and it's Saturday now.
I called after 24 hours asking about it but the guy I talked to said he would give me a phone call when he got back to the office... still waiting for that call.
Called again and talked to someone who said he would have Ronnie call me back.. and still waiting for that phone call.
Again, I'm sure these guys do a great job when you finally are able to get that estimate. But I feel like I'm begging these guys to take my money lol.
Called another plumber. Told me it would be a couple thousand to fix and he could do it in a day.
Anyways, someone dropped the ball so not sure what happened.. The people at Excel put the customer first.
I had questions answered and the process was very comfortable. This company is about taking care of your need not about billing what ever they can.
I have co risen e in their honesty and integrity. I bought a home and needed some Galvanized pipe changed threw my whole house I was getting quotes through multiple companies and when I called hydro genie plumber came and walked me throughout instead of over the phone And did An awesome job thanks again HYDRO GENIE!!!!!!! Are you looking for a professional plumber to take care of pipes installation all over your house? Probably you want someone to install the new heater you got on amazon.
Excel Plumbing will work every bid you want them to do. Even cleaning your drainage system, Excel Plumbing will do that in just a couple of minutes.
The company has a fast customer service available that will cater to your needs. No matter how big or small your problem is, they will be obliged to offer their services with negotiable payment.
They accept credit card payments. They visit you in person to check any issues and will be back to fix them later.
Communication is everything for this plumbing company. They pay extensive attention to every detail to ensure that their client has 100% satisfaction.
They have 24 hours emergency service ready to respond to any problem you have with no extra fees. Moreover, for the past few decades, the company was trusted by hundreds of customers around the city.
Their reputation was proven the worth of acknowledgment and recommended to be repaired with a professional touch. I want personally to thank Lynden for his hard work and professionalism! He is very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the plumbing system and did an excellent job in repairing my sink problem in a very timely manner! Will definitely refer this company to anyone who have a plumbing issue.
Honest plumbers they helped out with several issues. No problems since.
Always come back if needed when the job is right. Quick communication.
Everything you need from plumbers. Could be cheaper but it is what it is.
Our AC unit stopped blowing out cold air. They came out promptly but ultimately didn't fix it.
For almost $400 they sprayed the furnace with a power washer, removed the filter and added some refrigerant. But it didn't actually fix the problem.
We called another company today who came out cleaned the unit, checked for leaks, ran tests and fixed it. Also as a courtesy is coming again tomorrow to check in and make sure it's all good.
It really sucks to spend that much money on a repair job and have to bring someone else in to fix it just days later. My management company called Excel out to deal with a clogged soil pipe.
They came out at the end of the day which I thought was great as having an unusable toilet is difficult. I gave them my contact info and helped them get things figured out.
When I left they were dealing with the unit owner whose toilet was affected. When I came back the next morning there was a literal piece of excrement left on top of the floor drain in the area of the basement where they accessed the clean out.
At first I thought it might have backed up after they left but it was too large a piece to have come through the floor drain. Which means they cleaned it out of the stack and left it there! I was horrified and called the management company who called Excel who apparently couldn't send someone so the paid for our regular cleaning guy to come in and disinfect the area.
I will never let anyone from Excel set foot on the property again. Excel Plumbing exceeded my expectations! The communication on both days from start to finish was great! The person who took the call, gave us an appointment quickly, was very friendly, and said that the service fees were waived at this time.
I mentioned that I wanted someone who would be willing to explain everything, and he made sure that he sent Ronnie. I received text messages when our service person (Ronnie) was on the way.
He wore a mask due to the Corona virus. He was very friendly to us and our dog liked him too! Sometimes, service people don't want to explain what they are doing, or in terms that a lay person would understand, but he was great.
In addition, he spoke with me respectfully, where some service people, don't speak with women the same way as they would a man. As stated above, the fees were waived at the time of our initial appointment, for a free inspection of: - leaks / or potential leaks in the kitchen, bathroom (he checked our other 2 bathrooms just in case).
In addition, he checked our faucets outside in our back yard and in the garage (which were both leaking). It turned out that only 2 things needed to be fixed, and he tightened a few things that were easy fixes (no extra charge).
He needed to come back the next day to install a new faucet. He said that their prices were pretty equivalent to the stores.
I checked into pricing at home depot, but it was just a bit more expensive, and not worth us running out, especially during the Covid outbreak). He recommended a company that takes care of mold and mildew to do a free inspection, since I mentioned that under the kitchen sink smelled musty and I wasn't sure how long we had the leak.
He also put in a part that I purchased for my toilet, that I was planning on doing, which took him a few minutes. I would highly recommend Excel Plumbing, especially Ronnie! One of the better repair services we've used.
Did great work to replace our sewer line. Great, neat excavation.
On time, professional, neat, caring, not disruptive at all. Excellent work, I'll certainly use Excel again! Update: When the company originally sent plumbers out to do the work at our house, the office staff was very rude and told us that work that was originally verbally agreed upon would never be done by this company.
After many back and forths with what I assume was management, they sent another crew out and completed the job satisfactorily. I have edited my rating from 1 to 3 stars.
We want to have some updates on the showerhead and bathtub showerhead but have no idea how to do it, so we schedule a price estimate with Excel Plumbing. Obrian came and evaluated the work.
We're impressed by his professional advice, patience and kind consideration. Although we decided to do it by ourselves given the evaluation, we will definitely consider Excel Plumbing next time we need service.
Thank you! Fantastic. I am extremely picky with my house and I want things done perfect.
Excel sent Dennis over to go over all the work I am planning to do over the next 6 months and patiently explained everything (the issues, the process, the equipment). He emailed me an estimate shortly afterwards (including part numbers) and was really good at email communication back and forth.
For the first stage of my installs Mario came out and did a fantastic job. If I could name the single best thing he did it would be the fact that I was confident he knew exactly what he was doing and had more than enough experience to see the hidden issues in his work.
I am looking forward to the next round of work with Excel for my garage! We selected this plumbing service because of their reviews and they did not disappoint! Bryan was outstanding-professional and diligent. We have a new go to and would highly recommend! May have good reviews and professional kind timely mannered technicians and admins but PRICE TO PAY.
No negotiating price first of all. It is what it is.
I needed hot and cold switched in two of shower valves so was quoted $350 at the visit. $29 fee for them to come out and tell me was waived.
But they weren't able to do it so to open up one of the units was $125 and tell me they can't do it unless they break wall and tiles with a quote of $1890. (This doesn't include me finding a bath renovation contractor to redo the tile work).
I think it's quite a rip off for them to spend 5 mins & charge $29 after a quick visual check or $125 for a 30 min check if they open anything up! Still no guarantee it can fixed and gave me another quote. Forget it.
PRICEY FOLKS just made $125 from me and I still have hot and cold water valves not switched. --update 8/20/2019 - Maureen at this company is super nice and understanding.
She called me a few days later to find out what happened and asked if she could refund the amount charged. Also offered to send a senior plumber at no charge to see if my problem is fixable.
I do appreciate their customer service. We called Excel Plumbing when we had a sewer smell in our basement.
Ronnie came out and figured out right away what our issue was. He suggested installing a cleanout in our front yard to access the sewer line.
We took his advice and after the cleanout was installed, he hydro blasted the sewer pipes, to eliminate any roots/clogs. I highly recommend Excel plumbing.
Ronnie was extremely informative and explained everything to us throughout the entire process. Folks were good.
Perhaps a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for, I suppose. I can't say enough good things about these folks.
They were very communicative and beyond fair. I requested some Yelp quotes for a leaking sink and they responded the fastest with the most useful information.
I told them I had houseguests coming the next day and they worked really hard and rearranged their plumber assignments to be conducive to that timetable. The plumber who came out was kind and professional.
He gave me a lot of information about my pipes that was extremely useful so I could do some of my own research. He was patient while I checked out a few things and ultimately we decided to wait til summer to do the bulk of the work that needs to be done.
He patched me up til then and made me feel no pressure to commit to them for the bigger project... Which means I'M DEFINITELY using them this summer when I need to replace pipes.
Grateful through and through. Not sure why they say they're 24 hours when they don't answer early morning emergency calls.
Very disappointed.'''.
