They did an excellent job, first working with me to locate the best site in the garage then doing a solid professional job installing the copper piping and electrical hookup. The installation looks slick.

A minor fault condition the device displayed was rapidly resolved. Kudos to Chris! Given that this is new technology, I am also comforted that Goode is a better bet than most to be around in the next decade if problems arise.

I also had a badly plugged drain that (separately) was rodded after the sink had to be displaced to gain access. Vacuuming the rust out of the T connection in the wall saved me having to have the wall cut open to replace the T.

The sink was returned to position and silicone sealed elegantly. Kudos to Frank! Two excellent, professional workers, and a very receptive, active front office.

And they also did excellent work for me years ago dealing with a downspout issue. Goode is hardly the cheapest, but the work is of very high quality and completely professional.

For me, that is a bargain. We got Not so Goode plumbing to come out and look at our water pressure on one of our sinks.

They came out and quoted us about $600 to install a shut off valve under the sink in order to remedy the issue. This was a pretty quick job but did not fix the ultimate issue we had them come out for.

The technician then said it was likely the cartridge that needed to be replaced on the faucet. He then quoted us another $600 to install this which we declined as we knew this would be an easy fix.

It ended up taking me about 10 minutes to install the cartridge which did not fix it. I then searched around more and there was a filter on the faucet spout which was causing the pressure issue.

The ultimate fix took no time at all and I just needed to remove the filter to get it to spray out what was clogging it. Pretty frustrating you hire a company to try and fix something that they should have noticed to begin with.

They did not do a good job of assessing the issue as they could not ultimately fix it and I ended up doing it by myself. Be careful with this company as to their pricing.

Not to mention we called the company to inform them of this. We spoke with one employee who said he would bring this up to his manager and nothing was ever done on their end.

Pretty disappointing experience. You have to read the fine print with this company.

Called them for a plumbing emergency and like the other low-star reviews, their estimates do not match their follow up work, which you find out about only after paying the 50% down payment. I contacted my credit card company after dealing with them since Goode keeps your credit card info.

My original estimate for plumbing repairs included new Moen fixtures with an updated design (screenshot of estimate attached), but when the plumbers were finished I found what they actually installed was the cheaper model pictured that's 1/3rd the cost of the one on their estimate. When I contacted Goode about this, their response was to send me a new estimate (this time with no image) charging me an extra $425 for a "special order part." It's called false advertising.

I'll never call back nor recommend a company that plays such games. We hired Goode in 2014 to install a flood control system for our single family home.

The system consisted of a large ejector pump located outside under the front yard. While the field technicians appeared competent, progress was slow and management of the project was lacking.

For example, once everything was installed, the project sat incomplete for several weeks with an unsightly orange AC extension cord running from our home across the lawn down to the pump. When we followed up with Goode, they appeared unaware of the issue and eventually sent out an electrician to finish the job.

Also, the contract called for grass sod to be laid down upon completion, but the technician didn't bring enough sod, telling me that I could just plant grass seed on the remaining bare areas. I insisted they sod everything, per the contract.

They obliged, but grudgingly. Sadly, that made our relationship with Goode feel not so much cordial as adversarial.

The flood control system came with three years of free yearly maintenance and worked great. When the three years had passed, a Goode representative sold us a lifetime VIP pump and pit maintenance contract for a single upfront fee.

We were pleased as the annual inspections otherwise ran in excess of $300. Unfortunately, when we tried to collect on the VIP service the following year, Goode explained that the contract applied only to indoor flood control systems, e.g., basement sump pumps, and not the system under our front yard.

When I explained that we had no basement sump pump, that the VIP service was sold explicitly for our yard system, Goode then told us that the contract was sold to us by mistake. Mistakes happen right? We told Goode they could refund our money on the VIP contract and we would take our business elsewhere.

Goode responded by agreeing to honor the lifetime contract. Good! I wish I could say that was the end of it, but in subsequent years Goode would periodically argue that the contract did not apply to our system, or that we had no service contract at all, obliging us to dig into our paperwork and email exchanges to prove to Goode that we indeed had a valid service contract.

Once again, our relationship with Goode seemed adversarial. Which brings me to our latest experience with Goode this week.

Per usual we scheduled the annual inspection (unlike other service providers we work with, we always have to make the call as there no courtesy reminder from Goode), and once again the technicians came out and attempted to collect $350 for the covered service, claiming that Goode had no record of either the service contract nor of having installed the flood control system in the first place. I told the technicians to talk to the office again, which they did, and eventually got the word that yes, Goode indeed installed the system and we had a lifetime maintenance contract.

When the inspection was complete, the technicians advised me that our 10-year-old ejector pump was due to be replaced for $2,400. Fair enough, but still annoyed by the contract dispute that just occurred, I told them I wasn't going to make a decision now.

Alas, later that day we received emails and a phone call from Goode wanting to know if we were going buy that pump. Talk about tone deaf.

Francisco was extremely informative and helpful i truly appreciate his patience and ability to communicate what my issues were and how to fix them as well as give me options through various the companies program to help you stay on top of your plumbing needs with a reliable and thorough also affordable company. I will be signing up for more work in the future with Goode and am grateful for the service of not just feeling like your getting jersey around but knowing the work that's getting done is what you need.

Goode Plumbing truly merits a 5 star rating. Having used Goode for a wide range of plumbing projects and repairs over the years, I am a repeat customer and know the company very well.

First and foremost, they are honest about the issue and the pricing. I never feel like they are trying to put one over on me.

They convey what needs to be done in simple English that someone outside the industry like me would understand. If it's a service call that required only a quick fix, they may not even charge you.

Second, they are very responsive, organized, and friendly. They have enough resources and manpower to tackle the same day for routine repairs and troublefixes.

Third, what they repair and install is top of the line quality and craftmanship. Even if they were to lower their standards, you still wouldn't be able to find better plumbers in Chicago.

I'm a repeat customer that's been burned. Beware the sales pressure and the fine print.

I signed an estimate for a job on an iPad after some intense sales pressure, and eventually cancelled. I was charged $1,000 for cancelling, and another $800 for a VIP contract.

I attempted to call and reason as a human, acknowledging I had signed and given a check, but was still surprised by the poor communication, and just got back "you signed it", pointing at the document they emailed me after. This #ThankYouThursday I want to shout out Goode Plumbing.

I've used them twice when I had a terrible clog in my kitchen sink. Try as I might (for hours!) I was unable to do it myself.

My sinks have worked great since they worked on them. The price isn't low, but I would say they are reasonably priced for the quality of service.

The only reason for 4 stars is that they did charge me about 1900 bux to replace the pump. I got other quotes which were a few hundred less but since this was an emergency I didnt mind paying a little extra.

They charged me $300+ to do a building inspection and then they only inspected the basement and not the whole property. They replaced my injector pump.

There was no purpose to the injector pump installed, there was no overhead sewer. They came and provided great service.

Took their time to make sure the issue was correctly identified and repaired without unnecessary additional work. Very happy I went with them! Recent experience with Goode Plumbing was rather bad.

The plumbing team that arrived did not have the correct materials, which we only discovered when they had installed a high pressure mains water valve to with the incorrect gasket, having not prepared the flanges on the existing pipes correctly. This resulted in the joints having serious leaks which, we had to leave in-place over-night while they got the materials to rectify the mistake.

Given this was the mains water supply to an entire apartment building this level of preparation was not what we expected, and we are lucky it did not result in a catastrophic failure. For the price paid I expected the best, and that is not what I received.

I came home from a trip to find a note on the door that my downstairs neighbor could hear dripping in the hallway outside her main bathroom. We looked, but couldn't find anything in my main bathroom leaking.

Later, I used the master bathroom toilet and water came gushing out below when I flushed. I turned off the water to the toilet and put a bucket under to catch any more.

I called our heating and cooling company, thinking they have a plumbing service also. They said no, but they recommended Goode.

I called them around 3 PM. They said they could come out the next day between 8-6, and would call 30 mins before.

Next morn at 7:30 I got a call, by 8 Chip was here. In 5 mins he had assessed the problem.

The toilet was old and needed replacing. I discussed new toilets I had recently looked at in Home Depot and he patiently explained why those aren't made as well anymore.

He suggested several different models he could put in. I picked one of those as they will last .

He had two men bring that one over while he took apart the old one. The whole thing was done by 9:30.

I am pleased with the service I received and considering this was coming into a holiday, I am grateful for the quick response. Do not ever use this company.

They are very responsive to have someone come out and provide a quote. They are very responsive in having someone take your credit card info and do the work.

However, they "fixed" our toilet and then there was a leak in the ceiling of the floor below. Someone came out and said this was related to them incorrectly fixing the toilet above.

They fixed the toilet, but someone will come out to fix the ceiling damage. They say their work is guaranteed Now, I have called for 14 days in a row and nobody has called me back.

The call center says every day "all I can do is pass along the message." Do. Not.

They came out and explain to us that our water tank had water damage gave us a quote they're expensive but they stand behind their service and their product. It's the second time I've had them out for a big job and I'll call them out for a third job if need be.

We had an issue with a sewer line that was beneath the foundation of our home. They were extremely seasoned, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind! Goode explained each and every step along the way setting expectations.

Chip and Henry came out to install a new toilet that we had purchased ourselves. While they were on-site I also decided to have our main sewer line cleared and scoped due to some other issues we were having and they quickly sent Mike and Jared out same-day to do that work.

They were on time (early, actually), were able to get the second crew out quickly, they worked fast, were extremely professional and courteous, kept me updated as the work progressed, explained things and answered questions along the way and kept things clean as they wrapped up the job. The only 'complaint' is that the work was pretty expensive.

We were able to get a break on price because we hired them for multiple services, which I appreciated, but it still was not cheap. I can't say whether I'd recommend Goode for more extensive or complicated work given the given the straightforward nature of what we had done and the cost.

However, I can say that that I definitely appreciated their team's customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail in the work they did for us and will strongly consider them the next time we need a plumber. We had an issue with a sewer backup at our 100 year+ two flat in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago.

Johnny was nice, friendly, professional. He stated it would be $650 to clean it and that it wasn't as bad as some of the others he has seen.

The quote is in the same range the prior 2 estimates were. I liked Johnny's vibe better.

We had a break in our sewer line and I authorized Chicago sewer experts to dig up the pipe and repair it. During the digging, they discovered a flood control system that was never disclosed to us when we bought the house as it was buried under the front porch out of sight.

We actually didn't have a break in our line, but rather the flood control back flow valve had rusted in a semi-open position due to lack of maintenance over the years. With our yard half dug up and our sewer system being off-line there's a lot of pressure to make a decision to get the work done.

The price that was quoted seemed extremely high, but I didn't feel I had time to do any shopping for alternative quotes and they knew it. What really irritated me was the fact that after installation of the flood control system we had to wait for things to settle before the piles of dirt could be put back in our front yard put back in some sort of ordinary appearance.

We had paid half upfront for the repair and installation with the balance due just before completion of the work. I was promised multiple times by Brandon and Joe Kovalsky that they would be back to complete the job and I needed to pay the balance on the uncompleted work because they promised they would complete it.

I lobbied to pay a half of the remaining balance, and the final amount upon full completion of the job. Joe insisted and promised they would be back to complete it.

At the time I was undergoing cancer treatments & was a no position to move all this heavy dirt in March underneath the porch and back into our yard. The bottom line is, they never returned and never put our porch back together or filled in the dirt as they had promised.

My wife had to do the work the repeated calls to them went unanswered. I know they feel like they cheated me as they did on doing this work professionally and they lied and did not do what they said they were going to do as they have never re-contacted me and never offered to do annual maintenance on the system.

I wouldn't trust them anymore to do any professional work on my house, nor should you An awful company run by apathetic cowards whose contempt for their own customers is outmatched only by the incompetence of its employees. The employee who answered my call told me it would be $85 for an after-hours visit for which I was ultimately charged $185 (more than 2x the price originally told).

On that same call I asked the employee to confirm whether, if my leak was indeed caused by my dishwasher, whether the plumber they were sending possessed the tools and ability to fix the issue, to which the dispatcher responded in the affirmative. The plumber came and couldn't fix anything at all.

What was the point of even sending him?! I never would've had this company send a plumber over after hours if I knew the real cost was $185 OR if I had known the plumber couldn't fix the leak. I called back the next day, a Saturday, and described my extremely disappointing experience to the weekend dispatcher, and was told by THAT employee that the company would get back to me on Monday.

It has now been six days since the company was supposed to contact me regarding my awful experience, so here I am, sharing my experience with you, dear reader. Honestly, I have no idea how this company has over a one-star rating.

Based on my experience, the company employs incompetents who don't even know the most basic aspects of the services they supposedly provide, and the company's management doesn't respect its customers, assuming the weekend dispatcher even conveyed my issues to them. The plumber was a nice enough guy, and I don't think it was his fault that his dispatcher put him in an impossible situation and is generally atrocious at her job.

Mike was kind, patient and knowledgeable when explaining the issue and approach to resolve it. Within an hour they already resolved the issue that another company was quoting me $6k for.

This company sent out a young guy who had zero knowledge of how to fix a clogged drain. He came in with, what I would call, a power plunger, not a rodder which was the tool required.

He told me he couldn't do the job and charged $185. I had to have another plumber come out and do the job correctly within about 15 mins.

I have been calling this company for weeks and have been given an array of excuses as to why no one was available to talk to me. I am a senior citizen and unfortunately trusted the advertising of this website.

They DO NOT "provide customer service" and "WILL NOT do their best till you're satisfied". There is also NO "new customer discount".

Do not hire this company. I requested non-emergency service through a different company on yelp, I'm not sure why my request was forwarded to other companies but I got a call to schedule the repair from Chicago Sewer Experts.

At the time I scheduled it because I thought the company I put the request through maybe just changed names. I'll be a lot more aware of yelp forwarding these requests now.

I requested service for my shower faucet diverter that went from no water trickling through when in "shower mode", to a small amount of water coming out of the faucet, to more water and then eventually the "shower mode" didn't work. The guy came in with someone he was training and insisted I was wrong, he said I was wrong about it being the diverter and immediately blamed the issue on a broken shower head (partly true) and tested it out by taking the shower head off and testing if water would come out the shower hose.

Even doing that, more than half the water was still coming out of the faucet while he still claimed the shower hose had "full water pressure". Even when I pointed out that still a lot of water was passing through it the faucet and there's no way it would be near full water pressure he insisted that getting a new shower head would fix the issue.

Granted, he offered to fix the issue if I got a new shower head and it still didn't work, but why would I want someone who won't listen and doesn't seem to know how to diagnose the problem in the first place, even when I point it out, come back? In the 5 minutes he spent talking over me and doing everything he can to rush through, he charged the full $185 fee not even the quoted 150 flat rate I got via yelp messages. I called them out because of water backing up and needed it to be hydro jetted.

Ok hydro jetting is $650 an hr minimum of two hours ok so he said that my pipes was busted and no point of jetting and yet I was charged $450 (because I used a coupon) and didn't receive an hour. Then I was quoted $5,800 for them to put new pipes and other things in.

Well now all of a sudden after they dug half of my yard up they need to dig further and now it's way more expensive. With our yard half dug up,some of our fence removed and our sewer system not working there's a lot of pressure to make a decision to get the work done.

The price that was quoted was extremely high, but I didn't feel I had time to do any shopping for alternative quotes and they knew it. In the beginning might I asked everyone was so nice and friendly but when I began to ask questions about pricing and coupons that's when they flipped and now the attitudes and acting as if I'm bothering them.

I will never use them again!!!! That's why it pays to do research everyone is not honest and if you don't know they will get you. Chicago Sewer Experts are the real deal.

Made an appointment with this business via yelp & was expecting someone on a Saturday 10-11. I called & was told that they were running late and that someone would get to me soon.

I waited until 1:00 called again only to be told that my appointment was scheduled for Sunday 10-11. I understand mistakes happen so I took the Sunday appointment.

It is now 1:15 I have not received a call or a message. I shouldn't have to hound people to give them business.

The lack of professionalism is just unbelievable. I had Chicago experts come out they did my sewer work then my shower tub on the bottom didn't go through and he told me to put hot water in the drain and it would drain and I've been putting hot water in my drain for 3 days I called them back a guy was supposed to come out between 12:00 and 1:00 he did not I called the office at 1:15 they said they would call me back and they never did so they just take your money and run *DISHONORABLE COMPANY* I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this company.

07/07/2023 - Canceled the appointment because they made up some BS excuses why they couldn't do it. One of the reasons was that my basin was in bad shape, I told them that 2 plumbers and 2-month old home inspection report disagree with their assessment.

Scheduled a camera inspection of the sewer tiles of a house I am possibly buying. Thomas came out and he was very professional and friendly.

He explained what he was doing and seeing when putting the camera in the sewer line. Once he found a break he explained the process to repair.

Not only were they late (arrived past the time window we were given and no call to let us know they were running late), but the worker then locked his keys in the car which took half an hour to resolve. He used OUR tools to get himself back into his car.

Once he was finally able to get in the car and get his tools, he did NOT tell us that "blowing out" the hose of the dryer would cause our kitchen sink to be "blown out" too. This caused mud and debris from the pipes to be blown all over our kitchen and our ceiling, which led to a lengthy cleaning process on our end and trying to figure out how to scrub the ceiling.

Chicago Experts Sewer did dothe work. However, I still have the sewer smell in my house.

The area 3 employees dug the hole in September 2022. The dirt ?is still on top of the other dirt which mean, it's still a huge whole in my yard that need to be filled with the dirt the 3 dug up.

The 3 also cut some of the concrete to dig a whole. The manager came out and told me it's not their responsibility to put the dirt back down in the whole or lay the concrete down that they cut.

So, I'm highly upset with this company. If any1 had this problem with them.

I wanted a gas shut-off valve installed on my dryer and they came out and quoted $225 + parts. They came out a few days later once I knew I had enough for the job, they did the work quick enough, but looking at the invoice I was charged $285 + parts.

A $60 increase (over 25%) for quoted, scheduled, non-emergency work is surprising and disappointing but the work they did was good and they got the job done quick. If you move forward with these guys I definitely recommend getting the quote in writing, but the work itself is good enough.

As you can see from this business' reply, they admit that they stole my money for 'knowledge' and not actual services!! I did not pay for your knowledge, I paid for repairs that YOU DID NOT DO and you know it! Take your business elsewhere, y'all! This is a trash way to steal people's money and a waste of time. This is dishonest and unprofessional.

After several phone calls over the past month to get a response, this was the only reply I've gotten. After a minor overflow caused by torrential rains we had some water seep in through our drains leaving minimal, but standing water.

I was away on business and found this team through YELP. They responded instantly, despite the majority of the city having flooded.

Robert arrived, explained honestly that outside of a flood prevention system, this was likely to be an issue. But in his inspection noticed that our pumps were clogged as well as our catch basin, which was severely backed up.

We were informed that, clearing these may have helped prevent the water seepage but wouldn't guarantee it. However I knew these systems needed to be cleaned and maintained and he offered to help us on the spot.

I appreciate honestly. They're also very confident and knowledgeable about what to do and expect.

This is a team I will call for any plumbing needs in the future. Knowing I can ask a question, get an honest answer, and the work done is peace of mind not always available.

Appointment was confirmed like 5 days in advance, texted me day before they cancelled appointment. I was hoping to get an estimate on work I need done at this point my jobs have been rescheduled 4 different times with no advance notice by anyone.

for this job, installing a drop in sink, i had a scheduled appointment on monday, jan 8 between 8 and 9 am. i was called at 8:45 am to be informed i had to reschedule my appointment "because we got too many service calls this morning." i asked if an appointment took precedence over call ins and told it didnt and could i reschedule.

rescheduled for thursday, jan 11 between 9 and 10. i was called at 9:30 to be informed that the person who installs under mount sinks and cut countertops is not available.

i said i dont have an under mount but that i have a drop in. the associate said they were misinformed....

though i never quite got by who. it has always been a drop in.

she said she is going to call the supervisor and get back with me in an hour. an hour comes and goes so i call.

i was told she was going to call the supervisor and get back to me in a few minutes. an hour comes and goes and i call in only for the call to go to voicemail.

i said i guess my definition of an hour and a few minutes is completely incorrect and could the supervisor call me directly. i waited 3 hours and called and was told the supervisor had an emergency call and would call me later or tomorrow morning.

i asked if there is an owner and could i speak to them. she said the owner is unavailable until monday and i said that's fine.

so now... im awaiting the owner.

I had two loose toilets and thought I needed new wax rings for both. Brian and his partner arrived on time, assessed the repairs, and told me that both needed a simple tightening.

I came home to a burst pipe and didn't know where to begin. I looked up emergency plumbing and I came across Chicago Sewer Experts.

Within 30 minutes, their call center notified me someone was en route and they called again to let me know he arrived. Tommy did a through inspection of what happened and explained exactly what he had to do in order to identify the issue and fix it.

The entire process he kept explaining what was going on and even gave me a few tips along the way to prevent future issues. He ran out to get some supplies and when he returned, he got me fixed up in about 15 minutes.

He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and how to fix my issue. Additionally, he was so kind and helpful, when I was a bit of a wreck about it all.

Would recommend!! My niece has estimate from another company. She called Chicago sewer experts out and got an estimate 5000.00 dollars cheaper.

They did a sewer repair out front just before the sidewalk and also added a clean and check flood control for just the cost of the material. They also did seepage tile around the perimeter of her crawl space.

Installed a new sump pump and sump pump pit. Had electric run to the crawlspace for the sump pump.

They cored a hole to run the pump discharge pipe to the outside of the home. Chicago fire and water was already on site cleaning, pumping and disinfecting the crawl space due to a back up in crawl space.

Chicago sewer experts were also able to get my niece a discount on this. They did a great job at cleaning up the work areas upon completion.

Very competitive in pricing, were on the job when they said they would be, very professional service. Would highly recommend to others in my family and anyone else I know needing plumbing or sewer work.

Thank you for taking care of my niece and saving her thousands. I have used Chicago Sewer before, and they always take care of the problem, I had to call them the Saturday before Christmas, and they came right out, probably within a half hour, unfortunately the tech couldn't get the prsolved but worked hard to, i couldn't give him more time as i had to pick my 90 year mother up from the hospital to be sure we had Christmas at home.

Well, on Tuesday the 26th, Tommy, who has been here before, met me here and said lets take a look well he sent the camera down the line, and just as I suspected the problem that we talked about previously and thought we could maintain with a prevented maitance program was now an issue. So we scheduled to dig up the problem area the next day.

While they may not be the least expensive, they do what they say they work hard to get the job done and get you back to some normal life. Tommy is quite a hard worker and dedicated to making his customers happy I am currently going through an inspection process to purchase a property so I was looking for JUST a quote on how much it would cost for them to come out to do a sewer scope through the toilet.

Within 12 hours, I received 4 phone call from Chicago Sewer Experts (all different people trying to push me to get me on the schedule AFTER specifying that I just want a quote for the sewer scope). Haven't worked with them yet, but I shouldn't been called that many times being asked the same questions.

We were in a pinch looking for a plumber to come snake out one of our building's main lines that was causing a backup in our unit and were having issues finding anyone who could come out late at night, except for Chicago Sewer Experts. From the phone call to the service the team was extremely friendly, communicated well, we're timely to respond, and ensured our concerns were addressed thoroughly and quickly.

The technician, Gabriel, was extremely professional and polite - would absolutely call him again if I needed plumbing work. I'm really happy with the work done by Chicago Sewer Experts.

I smelled gas in my place and called People's Gas. They found a leak and I ended up calling Chicago Sewer experts.

They took a look at the leak in the value that fed my gas fireplace and determined how best to fix it. They came in the next day - first thing - and started working on it.

It was fixed by noon. They also pressure tested the whole system to confirm that there were no additional leaks.

I was able to get People's Gas to come back in and turn my gas on that same day. People's Gas actually commented on the work done by Chicago Sewer Experts - they were really impressed! I wouldn't even give one star.

My first time dealing with them: I called them to request service since they seem to have good reviews on YELP. Explained my situation.

Though it was not necessarily an emergency, they said they could send someone out the same day: "plumber will be there between 6-7pm." I was told. 6pm, 6:30pm and 7pm...

They were very quick especially for a Friday evening. However, once they were onsite at the property (my tenant, so I could not see first hand) they proved to be the exact opposite of a company I want on my go-to list.

I needed a new sump pump and they were quoting me a pump for nearly $700 when I could find it for $200. I explained I don't want that brand but one for less than $100.

After "going through all their coupons" they could bring it down to $550. Give me a break.

(They never did call back.) Bad process! People with emergencies are already stressed out. She was not empathetic and not helpful.

In the meantime, the other companies were immediate in their response and I lined up an amazing plumber from another company who came out the next morning. After waiting on Chicago Sewer Experts, I finally gave up but sent a message through Yelp and got the same automated email back! Argh! "Thank you so much for reaching out.

Very disappointing and my guess from reading reviews is that others may have the same issue. My sincere feedback to the owner: 1) Please do not use an automated response email when people use the Yelp Quote process.

Tricking customers into calling in only to have to then leave a message defeats the purpose of the Yelp shortcut. People using this process need to talk to someone ASAP 2) During normal business hours, if you can't hire an employee to take your calls, use a better answering service.

The people you use now are not helping you and are probably turning away business that you don't even realize. Hope that helps.

Wesley was the technician and he did a wonderful job. Very reliable and continued working until the job was finished.

I'm The plumber got stuck dealing with an emergency call in the AM so completely missed the morning window I scheduled them for, which was fine had they kept me informed. I called several times asking about an ETA and each time the lady who answered my call seemed more annoyed and became more rude and unfriendly.

I was looking to replace and remove two old toilets, so my situation wasn't urgent, but it was still an unpleasant experience. I had also asked the plumber who came for the inspection for the appropriate rough-in size of one toilet, and was told the incorrect size, which required a few extra trips to Home Depot to order the right size.

The plumber that did the install was efficient and installed both toilets in under 2 hours, so no complaints there. Overall I'd probably look elsewhere next time I have another plumbing need.

Clogged main sewer line and flooded basement after big storm. Called and left a VM- Antonio called within an hour and assured me they wouldn't leave without clearing my sewer line and they'd "get it done right the first time" so that I wouldn't have to suffer this again.

I scheduled for them to come between 8-9am the following day. Jonathan arrived around 11:30.

He was very nice and answered whatever questions I had, but wasn't very responsive to what I asked. I asked him to go through the catch basin to rod (I had also explained this to Antonio the night before and he said that would be fine), but Jonathan ignored me and tracked in all the equipment mess inside anyway.

He put the cam down the toilet, said my pipes are full of roots and showed me a blurry black screen. The footage before the black was also completely blurred out/nothing was visible on the screen.

He out the rod in, but wasn't able to clear it. He said I'd need to replace the pipe and get a clear out in the front, $5,600.

I paid $350 for rodding that didn't clear the clog and messaged Antonio about the cost of hydro jetting. He said $650/hr for a minimum two hours and the $350 rod job would be taken off the fee.

I hired another plumber who hydro jetted my pipes for $500 and cleared the clog in less than 15 min. He showed me camera footage on his phone app that was actually visible and I saw inside my pipes - they're all clear.

Jonathan had said my pipes were damaged beyond repair/can't be cleared due to root infestation and I'd need them to be replaced because of the roots. So much for that professional opinion.

I'm so glad I went with a second opinion. ? Hi! They came when expected, worked well and quickly, were very knowledgeable, and were patient with my questions.

Having the ejector pump replaced on the fly like that spared my tenant (and by extension, me) a truly -filled nightmare. So, hey: thanks y'all! Please don't advertise free estimates.

I was told 2 times I would get a free estimate. They came over tried to light my water heater figured out the problem told me the problem.

Nothing was fixed nothing was done to the water heater. And I was charged 185 for ten minutes of being there.

I get you need to get paid but to say you give free estimates doesn't make sense to me. We had Pat come out to do some work on our new house.

He was very professional and easy to work with during the estimate phase. When it came time to schedule the work Pat and Chicago Sewer Experts were very quick to come out and spent two full days at our house.

As is always the case, problems arose during the work (NO fault of Pat's). Pat was very clear with us about what was going on and what needed to be done.

They were $250 less than other quotes I received, so I scheduled. The first time, the technician could not find the water shut off valves.

After talking with my HOA, I scheduled a second trip out to complete the job. The technician never showed.

When I called, they said they had no record of my appointment. We rescheduled for two days later at 8am.

At 8:15, I got a call asking if my appointment was at 10am. It was not, it was 8am.

The technician showed up around 9am, but didn't have all the supplies to level the vanity so had to make a trip. Ultimately, he ended up leveling the vanity with furniture pads, which is what I attempted to do myself.

They should have told me they couldn't level my vanity if they didn't have experience in it. Also won't be using again due to their unreliability with scheduling.

I called them and they sent a technician out within the hour. Manny was really knowledgeable and fixed my issue.

I will definitely be using this company for any future sewer issues. Another plumber who came highly recommended quoted me $3,000 for what he said would be a massive fix requiring breaking and re-pouring a bunch of concrete in my basement.

Suspicious of this assessment, I called Chicago Sewer Experts. Though it wasn't an emergency, Manny the plumber was at my home within a couple of hours.

He instantly fixed my problem for free by turning a knob. I asked him to install the new toilet I'd already bought on the advice of the other plumber, and he did it quickly.

When he needed additional parts, he rushed out to Home Depot to make sure the job went on. He was polite and professional and also wore a mask and observed social distance.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The most reluctant The most reliable, honest plumbers in the entire city! I had a pretty bad plumbing issue with sewage backing up in my shower and on the side of my house; was so freaked out, I probably would've done business with the devil.

I was lucky enough to find this gem of a company, the came out and suggested we started slow by rodding and hydro jetting the pipes - it worked great (3 months so far so good). It wasn't expensive at all, less than $1,000.

So grateful!!! Chris was my hero to solve a late night plumbing issue! A plumber came earlier in the day and was unable to solve the issue and recommended a $3,500 fix and upselling me on all sorts of issues. Chris answered the call and was able to fix the problem within 30 min! He was incredibly helpful and kind and was a plumbing genius and fixed my problems quickly.

I will definitely be calling again if I ever have another issue. I called them twice yesterday for an emergency plumbing issue.

We called and made an appointment, and was given a 2 hr window for their arrival (9 to 11). The tech called at 9:30, said he was 30 minutes away...

He finally arrived at 1:15PM. We had to call and ask what was going on multiple times, only to be told he's only 5 minutes away each time.

They got one later, when we called them back and told them about contacting the village. Nathan wanted to cancel the contract and wanted $2,000 more for the paychecks for his workers.

We asked Nathan for a deposit of $3,400 back. Of course we never received it.

They came the next day and discovered I had a couple of problems. They are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Never in my life have I dealt with a worse company. They really don't care about your plumbing problems and just look at a quote for an opportunity to rip you off.

I doubt if there are any tradesmen amongst the BOYS, not men, that they let loose at your house. Which one looks extremely malnourished and going to fall over at any moment and try to file a claim against your insurance.

They damage things in your home and in your garden, they don't clean up after themselves because they are sloppy workers and breaking things along the way is just part of the job to them. They are only focused on getting as much money out of you as possible and getting out as quick as possible.

Unprofessional work, rip you off on the price of parts while doing as little as possible and spending time that YOU are paying for chatting on their mobiles and loudly complaining about low pay rates and how they hate the company they work for. Maybe feed your workers so they can actually do efficiently.

Stay away and don't waste your time or money. These guys are a total ripoff! They charged my parents nearly $4300 to replace a water heater in their manufactured home.

Granted, a manufactured home water heater is more expensive (I called the supplier this one came from and got a price of $1389.95). When I tried to get an explanation of the remaining $2800+ I got a huge run-around.

My dad had to actually tell the guy where to get a manufactured home water heater from! Nate tried to tell me he had to go all the way to the southside of Chicago to pick it up but I googled the address and it was only 15 minutes from my folk's house. He also said if they wanted to wait 3 weeks (?!?!?! They were completely without water!) it would have been approx $700 less, which still would have made the repair bill ridiculously too high.

I think he took total advantage of my 88 year old parents who felt like they had no other choice if they wanted to be able to have water without waiting weeks. I spoke with another plumber in their area yesterday who was shocked when I told him how much my folks had to pay.

Toilet and bathtub were filling with water. Called Connell Plumbing, second time I've used them and had the same tech, Nate.

Awesome guy and very knowledgeable. Rodded out the sewer and even went in with a camera, he even showed me the lines.

Connell plumbing responded to my call very promptly. While they did not provide the specific service I needed, I spoke to the owner who took the time to provide a a ton of information and a great referral.

Came across as honest and knowledgeable and would definitely request service from them in the future. This is the place to go if you need any plumbing work to do.

I have had used them for many jobs at my house and commercial building that we owned. He has always given me a fair price for the amount of work that he does.

He uses only higher quality parts so the repairs should last. I do some of the work myself, then call Wayne to fix my breakage.

I can recommend Connell Plumbing without hesitation. We had an issue with our catch basin which they diagnosed very efficiently.

We decided to have the catch basin removed, and they recommended an excellent plumbing contractor (Morning, Noon and Night) since this project was beyond an ordinary plumbing project. In the future, if we have a need for a plumber, Connell will be our go-to choice.

I lost all my faith in Connell Plumbing. We have used him for several years.

And was always happy But lately he has been no help at all. When I thought a pipe was leaking form my dish water, his assistant came over told me that it was not the pipe.

He told me that it was the casket and that my dish washer was old and it needed to be replaced. He refused to fix it.

Guess what , all it needed was a rubber casket. We have another person fix it.

And no problems or leaks since This was early this year. Now the last straw is we need our sump pump cleaned out and a new pump replaced.

I explained the problem. First I was first given a quote on a price of $,600.00 .

Then Wayne kept insisting that it was our sewer back up system that was causing the problem. Perma Seal already checked out and it is working just fine.

I told Wayne this but he said it is not the reason my pump is not working. I'm not STUPID.

I ran the water in the sink and I saw how the pump (he sold us) is not working at all. And my Sump Pump pit is full of mud.

When I told him this, all of a sudden he said he dose not clean out sump pumps or replace the other pump (which I also got from when my basement flooded prior to my correcting the problem ). I will get another plumber and NEVER USE CONNELL PLUMBING AGAIN IF I CAN HELP IT!!! A good plumber...

I have used Wayne over the years. He does most of the work himself and handles the job from start to finish.

We have had him replace faucets, rod sewers, re-pipe, and layout new bathrooms. The work is done right and the prices are fair.

I would not hesitate to hire this company again. Good work at a fair price.

While I had team Connell Plumbing here I questioned them about my toilets (2 of 3) that the water ran continuously and I wanted to know how much it would cost to replace just the FLAPPER, but they looked and said that the toilet was not installed properly and they would have to replace the whole toilet at a cost of $200 each.

Being in a situation of dealing with 2 different plumbing professionals - I decided to contact a friend to look at the toilets and give me his opinion since he does all of his own repairs via DIY projects --- low and behold, he took care of it and it cost me a whole $15 to fix all 3 toilets by replacing just the FLAPPER vs. $400 to replace the whole toilet.

Wayne Connell has been my plumber for at least the last 5 years. I totally agree with Tonya P.

that was an amazing find! Wayne and his partner James come every spring to rod out my sewer line and are always available any other time I have had any plumbing problem. In addition to being fantastic plumbers and very reasonably priced, they are just always both so pleasant to do business with.

I hope they are in business in the area for as long as I live here because I wouldn't want to have to call anyone else! I never thought my first Yelp review would be for a plumber but I can stay silent no more: This guy is awesome. He's responsive, quick to fix any problem we've thrown at him and loyal.

And, not only does he fix the problem, but he always tells us why it happened, what we can do in the future to prevent it, and how to fix it ourselves (if we want to). If not, he's always happy to come back out! We won't use anyone else for our plumbing needs, and you shouldn't either.

I'm a home owner and recently did a complete gut of bathroom plumbing in my home but unfortunately I didn't get it all quite right. When the Village inspector came by he was very kind and gave me a specific list of things that needed to be reworked to bring the plumbing up to code.

At some point I decided I'd rather just hire a plumber who can do the work. That's when I called Connell.

They arrived on time which I appreciated but that was the only place they scored positive points with me. The two men who came out were boisterous, loud, rude and talked all over each other - which was very confusing to sort through to figure out what they were actually saying.

One of the men stepped into a brand new tub with his work boots... really? You couldn't have pointed out the copper work from outside the tub? But I digress.

What they did tell us was this - "We're going to have to pull it all out and start over... well, half the water can stay but everything else is wrong".

When I asked specifically what was wrong with the PVC I was told that I used "the wrong kind of PVC" to which I replied, "I thought Schedule 40 PVC was acceptable" whereby they informed me that I had not used schedule 40 PVC. The pipe has "SCH 40" printed right on the side.

When I asked about the water I was told that all my water lines need to be 3/4" and I had used 1/2" in certain places. The men from Connell informed me that while the 1/2" wouldn't affect performance that it was simple not up to code.

I challenged the men on their point as 1.) I had specifically asked the village inspector what size copper to use BEFORE I installed it and 2.) the inspector had already come by and had no quams with the diameter of my copper pipe. After a pause one of the service men responded "Well, it depends on the specific situation" but when I pushed him to tell me which circumstances required the treatment he was prescribing he informed me that it specifically pertained to the installation of a whirlpool tub....

which we don't have and could be clearly seen as our normal, standard tub is already in place. Did we end up using their service? No, we didn't so I can't speak to the quality of the work.

They wanted $6000 to do the work and of course that's before complications and scope creep which are inevitable with a project of this size. FYI- we had another plumber give us a quote and he quoted us $1600 for the same work.

Final verdict - pass on these guys or at the very least get a second opinion. I was appalled by the dishonesty displayed on our site visit.

My highest recommendation for a Plumber there is .I have used several plumbers over the years and have worked for or with many in the area .Wayne is the most up front honest individual/ plumber you`ll find . You will never second guess dealing with Connell Plumbing as far as price, service or satisfaction .

I had a minor issue with my sump pump and they were able to come out and fix it within a hour. They also gave me some good advice on a seepage issue that I was having.

Just had James from Connell Plumbing over today to install a Moen kitchen faucet. The faucet was supplied by Moen under their lifetime guarantee and James did the labor to properly install it.

He breezed through it and did an excellent job. I could not install it myself because the location of my kitchen sink was close to the wall and the old faucet was rusted on.

He made it look simple because he knew what he was doing unlike me and obviously had much experience with doing this. He was on time and stuck to the price he quoted me over the phone and even added a 10% senior discount.

Other plumbing places will not give you a price for simple work like this and then nail you when they complete the job. In the past Connell Plumbing has installed a quality water heater for me, American made, not made cheaply in Mexico.

They try to use American made parts that are quality. James also answered other plumbing questions for me which prevented me from having additional work done which may not have been successful.

Great to have trusted plumbers... I highly recommend Connell Plumbing.
