Review and analyze now for company J Sewer & Drain Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''I have hired J Sewer & Drain before. They provide outstanding service, at a reasonable price.
Other plumbers wanted to send out an estimator, and then have a plumber come back on a future date. J Sewer immediately responded to my request, and had a plumber at my property in less than two hours.
Having agreed to go ahead with Luis' estimate, he proceeded to install new water line connections on a bathtub faucet. What made the installation challenging, was that there was little or no room to work a wrench on the copper pipes, because of the bathtub's proximity to a wall.
I would not hesitate to hire J Sewer & Drain again I had a punchlist of plumbing tasks and they helped me finish everything over a few different visits. They fixed a leaking toilet, replaced my basement ejector pump and had a crew come out to clean my outdoor catch basin.
Pricing felt very reasonable and everyone who has been here to help has been friendly and easy to communicate with. It's great to have a regular plumbing company! Jesus was on time for the appointment gave a fair price sent out Milton to complete the project that same day .
Milton completed the job quickly and efficiently did a thorough clean up and I was satisfied with this company and would use them again and highly recommend them to others. I hired them to come out to clear a clogged kitchen sink.
The service was good, but the price ended up leaving me feel a bit ripped off. They charged $475 to clear the drain.
The normal price is $275, but they added an additional $200 to take off a garbage disposal. So $475 in total for a job that took about 30 min.
We hired J Sewer to replace about 15 feet of our sewer service line that was falling apart due to tree roots. Their pricing was competitive, and Jonathan and Jesus were great communicators and very professional.
The work was completed in the time frame expected, and they handled the city inspection and Private Drain Program inspection with the city to get the rest of the line repaired as well. I'd be happy to hire them again.
Hired Jesus to come out and check a leak behind our fridge. Called around 11am and he was here by 1:00pm and fully helped us figure out next steps and repaired everything in a timely manor.
Couldn't recommend them enough!! Contacted J Sewer and Drain at 4:00 a.m. during a holiday weekend after my sewer pump failed over night.
I received a response to my inquiry right away and a plumber was at my house by 9:00 a.m. The plumber was on time, had all the parts needed for the job, completed the repair promptly, and the pricing was transparent and reasonable.
Highly Recommend! Very quick service. Explained things well.
Easy to schedule and arrived during given window. Jonathan and his team were quick to respond and fix an unexpected problem that was out of my control.
They were prompt, professional, and shared their discoveries and concerns along the way. Their pricing was fair compared to other quotes that I received.
I hope to not need more plumbing help in the future but if I do, I will be using their services again. Thank you Jonathan and Diego! They provide a level of professionalism and quality that's very hard to come by.
I would recommend J Sewer & Drain to any building owner. Fast response, reasonable prices and friendly service! Jonathan was great to work with We encountered a problem with our sump pump that caused an unwelcome odor in our basement.
Upon reaching out to J Sewer & Drain, they promptly dispatched a technician to our home within 24 hours. The technician was quick to identify the issue, provided a clear explanation of the necessary repairs, and skillfully resolved the problem.
The team's swift and effective response to our issue was amazing, you don't really get that from companies anymore. Milton not only fixed the problem but also installed high-quality materials to ensure a lasting solution (which also has a 1-year warranty).
Our experience with J Sewer & Drain Plumbing was truly exceptional. Their reliability, efficiency, and great customer service set them apart.
Not to mention, their prices were great as well. Highly recommend! I posted my problem and asked for responses on Yelp.
I had water dripping from the ceiling in my basement which was under the first floor bathroom. J Sewer and Drain responded right away and scheduled a visit for an estimate the following morning.
They gave a very small window and arrived during that window. They were very pleasant and professional.
After about 5 minutes of investigation, they found the problem which was easily remedied on the spot. They just needed to replace a hose coming out from the toilet.
This was my first time using this company and I was very happy with their prompt attention, arrival when they said they would arrive, quickly finding the problem and then fixing it for a reasonable price. I will definitely reach out to them again in the future for my plumbing needs.
I had a blockage in the only toilet in my apartment. Jonathan was super responsive and was able to send someone over in just 30 min.
He was up front about the pricing and gave quotes for 2 scenarios, depending on whether they needed to remove the toilet. The plumber who arrived, Milton, was polite and worked very quickly.
He did end up having to remove the toilet but had all the tools to get it done on the spot. J Sewer & Drain really came through in a pinch! Super knowledgeable.
Responded quickly and were available that day to do the job. This is the second time I have worked J Sewer and highly recommend them.
We have an older historical building 1929 that requires a grease interceptor and is a pain in the butt to clean. We had a few people suggested by our warranty company who came back with outrageous quotes.
J Sewer has been by the far super responsive, more knowledgeable of old local systems and way more competitive in quality and pricing. We used them a second time and it's just a relief.
I mean honestly overflowing smelly grease trap gives me an anxiety attack, the I don't get to use the sink. Once called they were ready to schedule same day/next day.
Once here it was a little over an hour of work. Efficient and friendly service, clean worksite.
Highly recommend! J Sewer and Drain are great. They quoted me a flat rate for a disposal repair which was 80% less than one of the Chicagoland repair companies that advertise heavily.
Service was top notch - we communicated at 5 pm on a Tuesday and my disposal was replaced by 10 am the next day. Team was professional, clean and respectful of the home.
I think I found my go to team for plumbing needs. Had an immediate problem with my toilet's rubber ring needing to be replaced causing water leakage.
Jonathan and his team were first to reach out among all others and were available to come out same day in just 1hour. More than competitive and honest quote, up-front before they even came on-site.
Luis did an excellent job replacing the ring in addition to cleanup and re-caulking afterwards in a timely manner. Would use again and recommend to anyone.
J Sewer & Drain did a great job fixing an issue in our bathroom! Diego was awesome and would highly recommend this company. Excellent service, was able to get same day service at a better price than other quotes with a kind and professional plumber who was very thorough in making sure everything was correct without leaks! Would definitely recommend.
Thank you! Had a leak on Christmas Day and Milton came out the next morning and replaced two sump pumps for a very reasonable price. Definitely would recommend them to anyone in need of quick plumbing services! Quick to respond and got a free estimate on the leak at hand.
There was a clog in our kitchen sink. They were able to fix right away and had competitive pricing! Thank you to Diego and team.
They replied to my initial call to action here, but after trying to set up a time to come out and look at my project I never heard back from them. So I went with another company that had more efficient communication skills.
The plumbers showed up and a conversation explained everything that needed to be done. The work was professional, courteous and done in a timely manner.
Our condo building recently had a clog in the plumbing that required quick action to clear so residents and children could resume using their restrooms. I called Jonathan, he quickly confirmed same-day availability and within 3 hours his plumber, Jesus, arrived to diagnose and remove the clog.
Jesus was friendly, knowledgeable, respectful of our unit, and we are so grateful for his professionalism. Thanks Jonathan and Jesus, we really appreciate you getting us back up and running so quickly.
Highly recommend J Sewer & Drain Plumbing!!! 5 stars Had them come out a year ago for a clog in the kitchen sink. The guy came out and he did unclogged it.
Great we thought until we checked the basement. There was water leaking from the machine he used.
It broke our pipe. He called his boss and said they'll send someone out to look.
But I still had to pay even though he broke my pipe! Two guys came out the next day and they fixed it but it was definitely overpriced. I felt desperate to get it fixed so I paid.
Definitely ripped off. My sewer ejector pump had failed and I needed it to be replaced.
Since the sewer basin had filled up to the top, causing water to back up into the house, I was in a rush to get this done as soon as possible. I contacted J Sewer & Drain in the late evening and received a reply within minutes.
Diego was able to come over the following morning to replace the pump. He was on time, courteous, knew what he was doing, and took care of everything properly.
I consider the experience 5 stars on communication, prompt service, and quality of service. The reason I'm rating 4 stars overall is the price, which was very high in my opinion.
I'm aware of the cost of a new pump, as I've done this before. The labor cost was about a thousand for two hours of work.
I was willing to pay this because I was trying to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible, and I understand that the work of emptying out a full sewage basin is unpleasant. But I do think that I would have paid significantly less if I had spent an additional day to shop around.
All, I would like to share our experience with J Plumbing. We had a nightmare situation where the sewer line was rodded three times and it was going no-where, the water flow was badly stuck with roots, pads and as the pipeline was not cleaned for years.
We had sleepless nights when we decided to install a clean out in the front yard. From yelp, we were able to find J Plumbing.
They came over, spent 2-3 days to find the sewer pipe, cleaned the entire flow till chicago city sewer on the street and installed clean out. The team was very patient, it was a lot of shit which was stuck and frozen in the pipe.
They also covered the yard very well after digging. Jesus, Jonathan and Lois are amazing people.
Thank you to them. They were very reasonable in terms of payments, city inspection and getting our sewer line operational again.
We would highly recommend them. Love these people!! They were able to come out the same day for a quote and next day to replace my waterheater.
Both guys that came we very professional If you have a hint of a sewer line issue - call these guys! We had a sewer smell in our basement - had a well known rooter service come out and they hit a snag and suggested that we jet our line. Their cost estimate was very high - so I called J Sewer.
The quote was a third of the well known rooter service - and the work was amazing! Jonathan from J Sewer showed me where the blockage was in our line - under the street - and waited to show the village (via cam) the issue. Hire these guys!!! We needed water lines repiped for the utility sink and washer in our basement.
Other plumbers did not have availability for a week. Since our house is 80 years old, there were no shutoffs for the sink (which had been removed) and we were without water and needed the service within a day.
Luis came out the next day, and completed the work to our relief and satisfaction. These guys were fantastic.
They had to come back twice for a hard to diagnose issue but they were very responsive and showed up on time. I will be calling them and referring them to clients in the future.
I would highly recommend working with Jesus and his team for any plumbing needs you may have. Our condo building had a break in the sewer line to the street that needed to be addressed in a very quick fashion.
This project had a lot of moving parts including permits from the city, an inspection, gas and water companies and the concrete needed to finish the job. Jesus handled all of that seamlessly while keeping me informed leading up the project.
The day of the project they showed up at 8 am sharp and did everything needed in 1 day with a great pride in their work. The other quote I received from another company was almost double in price and would have taken multiple days.
I will be using them for any plumbing needs I have in the future and fully recommend you do as well. Excellent/professional/quick!!! What else can I say.
I highly recommend them. After previous repair and plumbers Mia diagnosed the problem, Diego fixed it quickly and honestly.
They are my forever plumber!!! Don't waste time, energy with using others. Replied and showed up promptly as scheduled.
Work until problem resolved satisfactorily. Friday morning and my wife said the kitchens sink is clogged.
No problem I thought. Several hours of auguring and splashing Drano on myself and Friday morning became Friday afternoon.
Time for some professional help. J Sewer & Drain Plumbing was close to my home, so with no further knowledge about them, I gave them a try.
The owner got back to me right away, he sent Luis and Milton over and they were pleasant, professional and quick, and I paid no more than what was quoted. I dread plumbers and car salesmen but J proved me wrong this time.
Showed up on time and was very pleasant. Despite having already fixed the problem ourselves, he did not even charge us for the visit.
Would recommend and use again! Prompt and kind service! We've used this company twice for clogged pipe and also to replace our garbage disposal. Contacted Jonathan late morning on a Friday and he replied promptly with a flat reasonable estimate.
He offered to send someone in a couple hours, but he accommodated my later time request. Diego arrived on time, used foot covers without being asked, and was professional and efficient.
The repair was completed in less than 30 mins and we haven't had any issues since.. I plan to reach out for any future plumbing needs to this trustworthy business! When we noticed water coming through the ceiling of our basement level bathroom, my partner called a plumbing company who first told him it was an old wax seal that needed to be replaced from the toilet in the bathroom directly above, so charged us for that.
When the leak persisted, he had them come back out and they proceeded to remove the toilet completely, claiming it was still the toilet, just not the seal and charged us again. During all this, they cut a massive hole in the basement level bathroom ceiling, wanted to do the same to our floor above (we said no thanks), and then went MIA for several days because they wanted to cut even more but were afraid of damaging support beams so had to confer with the main office first.
All the while, we're talking ten days of leaking destroying that bathroom. At this point I took over the issue and reached out to Jesus.
Milton was at my house the following morning and within fifteen minutes was able to figure out the leak was really coming from the water line to the fridge that was on the other side of the shared wall between the kitchen and the bathroom. Because the issue ended up being a refrigerator part, and technically not plumbing, they couldn't fix it, but kindly turned the water valve off for me and didn't charge me anything for the consult.
We would have saved so much money and prevented a lot of damage had I just called Jesus first to begin with. They are our new go-to plumbers for the future.
I called them on Monday night around 10 pm. Our kitchen sink was plugged up.
We had a dinner party with 10 guests. What a disaster.
Jonathan answered the phone and we had Diego (plumber) come out at 3 pm on Tuesday. Diego was very meticulous and thorough.
A perfectionist! He got us all fixed up. I definitely will use them again and would recommend this business to anyone who needs a plumber.
Very reliable family owned business. I called last minute during the weekend with a bad and difficult kitchen sink clogged problem, they sent a technician to my apartment in an hour and also found a broken pipe and replaced it.
Great service and communication during the whole process. I appreciate their service and will definitely use their service again in the future.
Jesus absolutely deserves all of his five-star reviews. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and his prices are reasonable.
I'll call him again when I have another plumbing issue. Highly recommend J Sewer & Drain Plumbing.
They responded quickly to my project, were able to come out to take a look immediately and offered reasonable quotes with multiple options for fixing each of our unique plumbing issues. Milton was friendly, communicated the issues in a way that was easy to understand, and worked quickly to get our plumbing back in order.
Unethical, unreliable, and incompetent. Extra quotes on-site, tried to double your cost for repairing nothing.
[Update: The company owner refunded the full cost] I had a quote for fixing a kitchen sink blockage @ $275, and fixing a bathroom leakage for $200. It is not cheap, but our regular plumber was busy with other clients.
The J Sewer plumber checked the kitchen sink, got a rodding machine, and did the work for 5-10 minutes. Came out and said the issue is fixed, because he ran the water, and there is no issue anymore.
He told me that he could rod more into the sewage line for $150 extra. I said I can't make the decision right on-site.
So he went away and I paid the $275. Btw, he couldn't figure out the leakage issue and told me it would be $200 extra to break the basement ceiling to see what was going on.
Again, I said I can't commit to extra costs on-site. The issue came back twice later that day in the kitchen sink (backflow of water in the sink).
And I texted the business owner Jonathan to see if they would ensure the quality of their work for fixing the original issue that I paid for. He said his worker told me they wanted to rod more for the extra $150.
It was my fault that I didn't want it. My understanding was his worker told me the original was fixed, and it was as quoted $275.
Anything else is an add-on and optional. So you tell me after the event that your quote was not to fix the quoted original issue? And the payment I made was based on that the issue was fixed, per his worker said.
Jonathan also texted me and said his worker never said the issue was fixed. Lol, petty.
I read some other reviews and found out that it is a common practice for this company to charge more/double for the same work you got quoted for. Some customers have the same experience.
And once you paid, you say bye-bye to your money and better find another plumber company to do it again, Properly! The $275 lesson is expensive and cheap. Expensive as it's $275 for nothing, cheap as I have some hydro jetting jobs that need to be done, and I'm glad I dodged a bullet.
[Update: The company owner refunded the full cost] Unethical bait and switch. Quoted one price after an in person review and when crew came out they trumped up the job.
A quote is a contract. If additional work is needed that should have been in the quote.
They will waste your time. But politely :) Update after company response: it was not a miscommunication after I showed your worker Milton the written agreement (contract) he spoke with you, and he STILL tried to add various fees.
Buyer beware. J Sewer & Drain Plumbing communicated well & often.
They were clear with what they would charge & were able to quickly identify leak on pre-demo'd walls. Were able to come & do the work within a few hours next day I had them over in the past, and with one of the jobs we were extremely happy, since they dug up our basement and fixed our problem that caused our basement to flood.
I am giving them a two stars now out of kindness, instead of one, because I tried three times to get them out and they said they would get back soon and never did. I guess the son was on vacation, but why lead me on and make me wait for a trusted plumber? Very unprofessional.
I had given them two 5s in the past, but this was beyond frustrating. very solid management: professional and prompt.
why the one star? well, this place is a terrible value. it is a rip off lol.
anyways, diego will get the job done it is just going to take him a long time and he will charge a very high price. Very responsive and set expectations appropriately.
They worked efficiently and was reasonable in pricing. Professional in their work and would highly recommend them going forward.
Our sump went out on a Saturday. They were here within a couple of hours right on time.
Had a sump in his truck and replaced everything quickly. Prices were reasonable on a weekend short notice with quality parts.
I'm so glad he got it all working again, and will definitely use them in the future. Really saved my weekend.
I would not work w them again. The tech showed up an hour late w no call or text, took an hour long lunch break and made two trips to the hardware store.
He "found" additional issues that he fixed and charged me for without alerting me of those issues and explaining them to me in real time. They changed my shower heads and after talking about how much I value water pressure - all my water pressure is gone.
On top of that, 3 weeks later and the kitchen faucet they replaced is not connected properly and became loose. No tip was given! No nonsense and straightforward.
I like Jesus he is very calm and collected. I'd definitely work with them again.
I asked multiple plumbers for quote via yelp messaging and this company was the only one to give me a straight answer. They quoted me, we scheduled, they came, workers were professional and nice (even used shoe covers in the house) and fixed my problem.
I only gave 4/5 stars because the price was more than I wanted to pay. If they were to lower their price for unplugging a toilet to $125-$150 then it would be 5 stars for sure.
Jonathan is one plumbing guy you can trust and one of the few out there you can refer to friends and family for his reliability, honesty and integrity. Pre-pandemic and post pandemic, it has been very challenging to find trustworthy contractors, plumbers, workers who charge reasonably & finish work on time, plus know what they are doing.
Good to know there are still some out there like Jonathan we can rely on. These guys were awesome! Jesus gave an estimate over the phone (others wanted to charge us $100.00 just for an ballpark estimate).
, so we had a general idea of what it would cost. This time we were having them replace a water heater.
Super careful moving things, truly treated our home like it was their own. I must have texted Jesus a a dozen questions coz I am anal and he was always responsive.
Excellent job They are my go to plumber!!! Great service nowadays is hard to come by (post COVID) ! So it awesome finding such a great company. I highly recommend J Sewer and will use them every time for all my plumbing needs! I The J Sewer crew was responsive, quick, and reliable.
Jesus diagnosed a faulty installation for our sink disposal and quickly installed it correctly. I'm recommending them to all my neighbors and I'm looking forward to calling them for all my future plumbing issues.
Had a great experience with J Sewer & Drain Plumbing. I was able to set up an appointment quickly.
Jesus came in and diagnosed our problem and did a nice job explaining what the issue was. It turns out it wasn't anything that required repair; we just needed to use our basement bathroom more frequently.
I'm always really appreciative when a technician doesn't drum up some reason to perform unnecessary work. Would recommend this company.
Jesus replied quickly to my quote request to fix my clogged garbage disposal. He was able to come within an hour and a half and fixed it up in no time.
He gave me advice for how to keep things draining and clean. I decided to ask him to take a look at a few other projects I have in mind, including a sump-pump backup battery.
He took a look and saw that a piece of my current sump pump had broken off and my water was high. He fixed the unit with a temporary fix, drained the water, and did it for free.
I'll definitely be using Jesus for my future needs - he was friendly and knowledgeable - and, importantly, shared his knowledge with me so I can take care of my home. Jesus was extremely helpful, went out of his way to provide excellent customer service and help remedy the plumbing issues we had.
Cannot recommend enough There are two kinds of plumbers: 1) the kind that can unclog your sink 2) the kind that can rebuild your sewer. The first kind can't do what the second kind can do, but the second kind can do anything.
You always want the second kind, EVEN to just unclog your sink. J Sewer is the second kind.
After getting several bids for my job, it was an easy decision to decide on J Sewer, whose owner, Jesus, came out to assess my job. He was patient, listened closely, displayed no arrogant attitude and was clear in his analysis.
At the end of the conversation, he told me that although he's been doing this for years, he's always learning. Those, to me, were the magic words to convince me to go with J Sewer, and I couldn't be happier with the work done.
They removed and rebuilt my catch basin and repaired the connection with the lateral line and kitchen line. They discovered that my downspout was actually just creating a sinkhole under my house and connected that as well to proper drainage.
They were efficient and cleaned up everything. During the job they communicated very clearly when decisions had to be made and options were presented.
Jesus even had a cheaper and practical solution to a separate problem, a poorly flushing, badly vented toilet in my house. And then, when a manufacturing defect for a toilet that I purchased caused a problem and he had to return to replace it, he was easy to communicate with, and gracefully returned to replace the toilet in a very timely fashion.
I really can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had with Jesus and J Sewer, especially for a problem that had been vexing my family for a long time, and that was really making us miserable (rats, which had access to food and water via broken sewer near catch basin). You won't regret using J Sewer for any of your plumbing needs, I'm sure.
These guys are great and I would not hesitate to hire them again! While doing a large renovation my GC neglected to tell me that the city would require us to run all of our gutters into the sewer line. He then proceeded to tell me there was no other option and gave me an insanely high quote.
I called Jesus and he was out the next day and way more reasonably priced. His team was punctual, friendly and professional.
They also added a cleanout at no extra charge. Five star all the way! Was able to get out quickly at a time that worked for me to fix a problem that required specialized equipment.
While there price wasn't the cheapest it wasn't the steepest either. I put in a project request through Yelp to have a new toilet installed and J Sewer promptly responded with pricing ($375).
A lot of other companies wanted to send out a plumber first and that often involved a service fee which seemed unnecessary given the straightforward work request. Their plumber (Luis) arrived early, quickly removed the old toilet, and installed the new toilet.
He was very conscientious not to bump into any walls, put down drop tarps on the floor, and kept the bathroom clean and tidy. Overall a quick and painless experience at a fair price.
My kitchen sink's hot water lacked pressure. I was informed by Jonathan over the phone that it was a free estimate.
However when the plumber Chew showed up he said it was $200 for him to bring his tools in to diagnose. Any repair would be additional.
That was quite a surprise! That's playing with words a " free estimate" normally and customarily should come after a diagnosis! Their business practices seemed highly irregular! Like other plumbers they should have included a fee for a diagnosis in order to provide an estimate upfront. A lot of them reduce the final price by the initial charge for the diagnosis and the estimate.
Very deceptive business practices. I even called Jonathan at their office back to confirm he had informed me yesterday that it was free estimate and that I wouldn't be charged unless the plumber does the repair.
This morning Jonathan still insisted that it was a "free estimate" , however, added the plumber who comes can charge whatever he wants! Hirer beware! My original review: They quoted me $300 for a sewer line rodding, but somehow the invoice was for $1350. If $1350 is what it costs, that's what the estimate should be.
They also gave me a $6500 estimate to replace a crushed underground pipe. Good thing I got another estimate, because the next guy I found did it for $3K less! J Sewer's response: Hi, Yes we originally quoted $300 for a regular sewer cleaning.
However, when my crew arrived they noticed you had a flood control system in the front yard and rodding makes it difficult to clean when you have this type of system. So we priced you for a flood control maintenance and hydro jetting/camera the sewer line and you agreed which is why my crew proceeded.
As for the broken pipe quote yes we originally quoted $6500. The price also included the ejector pump replacement for the flood system since your current one was not working.
We did texted you we can do it for $5,500 since you did the first service with us but there's was no response. Also very surprised you found someone that did it for that less especially in which you had to replace the pump too and take out permits for this type of work.
Hope your problem is resolved and enjoy your night! :) My response: Glad I finally saw this. You did not offer to adjust the quote to $5500, you quoted $5700 (I have the text.) Also, if you could charge $5700, why wasn't this the first bid? That's a difference of $800 from the original quote of $6500 -- A LOT of money to us.
We don't like to play games with our money. Fair note about the flood control system, but instead of lowballing you could've said, "Your quote would be anywhere from $300 - $1500 depending on what kind of system you have." Or you could've asked more questions about our system before giving a quote.
Being upfront and honest goes a long way. Even with the replaced pump the other guy I found charged $2000 less(!) than your adjusted quote.
I get it, we all have to make money, and judging by your reviews you appear to do good work. But if I detect a hint of overcharging / shadiness, I run in the other direction.
Even if it was all a big misunderstanding, I can't take the chance again. Just being honest, and I doubt my review will leave a dent in your 5-star average anyway.
Have a great New Year. I called J Sewer about a leaking water heater, and they sent someone here within one hour.
He tried to diagnose the problem in the most cost effective way but unfortunately once he got into it, we needed a new water heater. They were able to get a new heater out and install it all within about 3 hours.
I highly recommend this company - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient Great experience working with Diego, he was prompt and respectful along with being a great in his communication for a leaking toilet. He was able to fix the toilet immediately, smooth experience overall.
Will definitely use J Sewer again for my plumbing needs. Came out quickly to give estimate for tub drain leak in a over 100 year old house.
Explained what his approach would be and possible issues that may arise. Reasonable price for 1 hour service call.
Fixed the leak, no issues now. We had an unfortunately Christmas day pipe break for a fridge water line from post freeze thaw (fortunately we were home to see it happen!).
They answered the phone on Christmas Day - and we didn't need them to come immediately because we had turned off the main water valve, but they came out first thing the next day, fixed the pipe and discussed longer term solutions for prevention. Second time using them - they are responsive, punctual, communicative and very nice people.
Very professional, quick work, and great result, I would definitely use them again. Wax ring looked like it was failing and I live in a vintage condo on the third floor.
Called up J Sewer in the middle of a Saturday with lousy weather. They were able to get someone here in three hours.
Plumber was great. He was friendly and professional.
He replaced the ring and left everything cleaner than when he walked in. It was our only toilet and we really appreciated the quick service.
Would use again and would recommend. These guys are the best.
Showed up an hour later after my enquiry and fixed the problem fast. Talked me through how I could fix it if the same issue happened again.
Highly recommend anytime! I can't recommend the plumbers from J Sewer & Drain more highly. I'm a board member for my condo association and we've used them multiple times for issues ranging from mysterious leaks in our garage to clogged pipes (and I know owners in our building have used them for single-unit work as well).
They've come out on short notice, they're extremely professional and fast to diagnose the root cause of an issue, and their prices are very fair. They're honest and give helpful advice for future maintenance upkeep.
Our experiences have all been positive and I highly recommend them to others. They are prompt for estimates and appointments.
They have done work for several of my clients and they have been clear and factual in their assessments of the issues. Their prices are fair and they work diligently.
I trust them. Couldn't be more impressed and pleased by the dynamic duo of Diego and Eric! We experienced a minor flood in our basement due to an overflow in the sewer system late one evening.
I did a quick search for local plumbers in the northshore area with high ratings and J Sewer and Drain Plumbing popped up. After submitting several requests to multiple plumbers, they were the quickest with responding, thorough in trying to identify the issue that evening and made arrangements to come out first thing the next morning.
Since we had guests visiting the next day, timing was key. They arrived promptly at 9 am, were direct with the steps needed to resolve the issue instead of giving us the runaround and worked diligently to fix it.
Given the strain of WFH during a pandemic, they were respectful of the work calls I also had to take and worked with me to ensure I was well aware throughout the process. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a plumber who offers that level of service and strives to go above and beyond for their customers! Honest assessment of issue without extra services and prompt repairs We contacted Jesus late on a Sunday night for a rough quote to replace an old sump pump that died over the rainy weekend.
He responded immediately, offered a very (very) fair quote for the job, and scheduled a visit for the next morning. In just a couple of hours, Jesus replaced our sump pump with a new one, made a height adjustment to avoid sediment issues thanks to our poorly built pit, gave advice on a situation we need to sort out with the city water department, and even talked us out of an upgrade we thought we needed (but didn't).
And the quote stayed the same. We are really happy with our experience with Jesus and J.
Sewer & Drain and absolutely plan to call again for future general plumbing needs. Job well done and reasonably priced.
