Never in my life did I have a more responsive, polite, detailed contractor. My condo had a major tub pipe leak that was leaking into the neighbor's wall and subfloor.

The situation was complicated by the fact that the pipe was on top of a drain that went into a thick garage ceiling beneath the condo. All other plumbers were unresponsive or turned down the job.

One plumber wanted to charge me thousands to repair it. Bert not only fixed it beautifully, but provided a free inspection, and his price was not thousands.

The neighbor also remarked what a kind, polite and detailed plumber he was. It took five hours for him and his assistant to do the work.

We submitted a request on a Sunday night as we had standing dirty water in both sides of the sink as well as the garbage disposal leaking under the Sink. They responded immediately and scheduled a technician for that night.

He came by after texting us when he's be arriving and took care of the drain clog as well as replaced the garbage disposal, staying late in the night after running out to get a part. "Emergency" service fee was lower than what other companies quoted and being able to get resolved quickly was much appreciated.

Some of the other companies are now responding to the initial request 2 days later. I would call them again if I needed quick service.

1) I went out of town for a week, during which time my husband decided his butt was too good for the thinner toilet paper we usually use (because we live in a very old house with old pipes). 2) When I got back, my six-year old daughter decided to express her anger over me going on vacation by putting half a roll of this thicker toilet paper in the toilet and then taking a man-sized dump on top of it.

Sounds a little over the top? Let me explain... Like most homeowners, there's aspects of my home that completely elude me.

Plumbing is one of those, and I don't hesitate calling in the pros when the occasion calls - and that occasion came calling last night. The basement toilet of our 100-year-old bungalow started backing up, and didn't clear after some pretty aggressive plunging.

Then the drain in the shower stall (next to the toilet) wouldn't drain, and had a few inches of standing water. The water level in the toilet lowered to almost nothing, and started to bubble.

Worst of all, the sewage ejector pump starting backing up (and smelling as you'd probably expect). Not pleasant, and not easily fixable, especially at 1AM on a Wednesday.

Within minutes, I had my wife looking up some local plumbers, while I left messages with the 4-5 most promising ones. Bert @ All Rooter was not only the first to call me in the morning, but the ONLY one to get back to me, period.

And he not only made an appointment to swing by that same day, but showed up on time. But here's where I was truly blown away - after looking at the problem, and guessing it was a bad ejector pump, he went to work.

In any event, I knew it was time for a plumber since all my attempts at rodding were for naught. On a Saturday, I scrounged Yelp for a sewer specialist and sent a couple of messages out via the interface.

Within 20 or so minutes, I got an email from All Rooter and we scheduled an estimate for the following Tuesday. Bert showed up on time as was promised, he listened to my tale and my theories, and told me he thought it was the main line.

After analyzing our plumbing, he said we need to look at the clean out. I knew roughly where it was located, so we started out the search.

After about 10 minutes, finally with the assist of a metal detector, the plug was found, just where I said it would be. I tell him, "I know my house." Bert was unable to open it.

He suggested that he would have to break it, but all I would have to pay for is a new plug. Voila, with a little elbow and other grease, the drain opens and we look inside.

No water flowing out, no matter how many times I flushed the (unused) toilet. Again, he says "It's the main line.

We should rod and look with the camera." Still incredulous, I say, so what if the cistern doesn't drain? Bert says, "so then you don't pay". He quotes a decent price, and I agree, let's go on with it.

Today. Now.

On the spot. Bert and his sidekick rod out the drain.

Tree roots, of course, from our 100+ year old maple up front. I sneak into the back where the cistern is, remove the cover, and voila! The cistern has drained.

Bert didn't stop there. He continued to rod and pull out roots.

He put down the camera and let me take a look. He rods out to the street and back to our main line.

He doesn't stop until he is sure we have a clear flowing drain. He suggests yearly maintenance.

However, through the camera, he identifies an additional problem. It's not something that we can do today, but we'll take care of that down the line.

The main line is clear, the cistern has drained, and I got to see it all through the camera. He and his pal clean up.

We discuss the future work and he quotes me a good price. I ask him to make sure that the laundry room drain is working.

He says, "the laundry room drains into the main line." I say, nope, it drains into the cistern. He suggests running water to see where it goes, and of course, it goes into the cistern.

Bert says, "You know your house." As a homeowner and a landlord, I keep my eye on repair and maintenance issues. I'm not afraid to get dirty or work up a sweat.

When I hire a professional, if it's not better than I can do as a rookie, it's a do over. This was not a do-over.

This is a qualified, concerned, respectful plumber who will be called back for future work. I now have a real plumber, his card, his cell, his email, and I would give him more than 5 stars if I could.

What was originally thought to be a sewer problem ended up being the blocked kitchen line. By using the camera first, which showed the sewer was completely clear, Bert and his crew went through the catch basin and hydo-jetted the kitchen line.

They then pumped out the catch basin of more than 50 years worth of silt, trash and other materials. Hopefully the basement won't flood again.

The basement toilets in our duplex down suddenly stopped flushing today. I called Noel at 2 PM thinking it was just a clog.

He arrived less than 2 hours later and uncovered that we had a broken ejector pump. He offered to wear a mask (We have a baby at home.) and took the time to educate me on our home's mechanicals.

He even gave me good tips to keep our plumbing in tip top shape! He had a replacement pump and all the tools necessary to finish the job in 3 hours. We have a very tight mechanical closet so it wasn't an easy task.

The piping had originally been installed in a way that did not promote efficient flow and had resulted in near 100% blockage throughout the entire pipe from years of build-up (see pic, yikes!). Noel clearly explained all of the mechanics and his recommended solution before proceeding to remove/cap the old pipes and install a new pipe configuration.

It was certainly a larger job than we all anticipated, but he was efficient and still able to complete the job that day, in addition to installing the new faucet and replacing the garbage disposal which we also determined was well past its lifespan and had exposed electrical wiring. Noel is really the best! I am writing this review for other first time home buyers (like me) who don't have much experience dealing with plumbers and contractors. I recently bought a multi-level townhouse and after a few months of moving in noticed some water stains in living room ceiling due to some leakage in guest bathroom upstairs.

I reached out to Noel after reading all good reviews here and sent him pictures after our phone conversation. I didn't hear from him for 2 days and then suddenly on Saturday when I am out shopping, he calls and wants to come over to diagnose the problem.

Though it was short notice and very unprofessional, I allowed it. I asked him how much it would cost (a rough estimate range) but he didn't answer and said it could take 5 min or 2 hour based on what he finds and he charges $135/hr.

Considering my handyman had already told me that most probably it was a drain pipe leak, I thought it will be an hour maximum. He arrives on time (3PM) but I was running 5 min late due to traffic.

I let him in around 3:08PM when he came with few tools and had to make a few more trips to his van to get more tools and ladder during the 2+ hrs he was there. He also made 2 big holes in living room ceiling and 1 in guest room den to tell me what my handyman told me without even touching anything.

Noel did find some other minor issues with shower head. All the hole digging was done by 5PM but he was lounging around my home until 5:20PM and then gives me a bill for 2.25 hrs ($309).

He also wanted to recommend someone who could cover the drywall and paint it. I was like WTF--you spend max 2 hrs and honestly what was done in 2 hrs could have been done in 1 hr or less if he had not insisted on me examining what he found and unnecessary chatting.

He asks to pay me $300 as he worked his B* off in this job (I was like isn't that the reason why you charge $135/hr). I work as an IT consultant but I never charged anyone for my inefficiency- I guess his previous Lawyer experience still guides him.

The next day he gave me an estimate of 3 hrs to fix but I rejected and told him the reason- I didn't like his work ethics. He sent me a refund check for 0.25 hrs and this is why he is getting 1 star from me.

My handy man fixed the leak, covered the drywall and painted the following day for $250. Henceforth, I will stick with my handyman and reach out to others if he cannot do something.

Suggestion: Charge a flat rate for diagnosis and hourly for fixing. Noel is a great plumber and resource.

I've called him to my house and rental unit multiple times, and been happy with my choice each time. I can count on him to schedule time quickly, get the job done right and charge a reasonable price.

It is a relief to have a go-to plumber! Nole came out the same day I called. I had some water coming thru my ceiling after my wife took a bath.

Nole quickly isolated the issue to the overflow drain and waste drain seals. He replaced both using elbow grease and years of experience.

Our kitchen sink stopped draining the day before Thanksgiving. Noel came out the same day I called, fixed the issue quickly.

It was that fast and painless. I believe I was changed a fair price.

And since then have had no sink issue at all. If I run into issues, I'll use him again.

If you need more than that, fine. I called Noel on a Saturday because I had to get some pipes repaired on my gas stove top and I needed plumbing redone and a new faucet installed all due to new countertops being put in.

I was moving in on Monday and needed this done ASAP. I fully expected Noel to tell me he could come out on Monday at the earliest.

No, not Noel. He came out that day.

Within about 3 hours. He showed up, got both projects knocked out and was just a pleasant guy to hang with the whole time.

He really took care of us and I hope I never need a plumber again, but I know I will. And when that happens, I'm calling Noel.

Noel is wonderful! Came out on short notice and helped with a garbage disposal emergency. So happy to now have a go-to plumber for all our plumbing needs.

Victor and 123 Plumbing have been our water repair techs for many years! I had a broken cast iron pipe just out side the foundation of our house. I had other "plumbers" in, and they wanted to put brand new pipe for $5000-6500.

I called Victor and he was there bright and early sand got right to work, digging out the old line right to the inside where it connected to the main trap. They removed the cast iron pipe, and replaced it with PVC, cemented the pipe in the foundation, poured rock for stabilization, and then filled the dirt back in.

Good to go, and the cost was WAY below quotes from the other "plumbers I found here! The work took 2 hours, and the quality was exceptional!. And his prices were very reasonable! I most sincerely recommend 123 Plumbing for all of your water need.

Victor at Plumbing 123 did an amazing job yesterday. The drain in my bathtub was slow for many years so I decided to give him a call last week.

We texted back a forth all of the details and scheduled a time for him to come over. Needless to say, it was a bigger issue than just a slow drain.

It was a completely corroded pipe from the 60's. Victor worked hard fixing everything using modern PVC, repaired the exterior wall access panel, insulation, and more.

He came before his estimated time and texted me to ask if that was OK. He ran a camera up the drain line and showed me the roots that were causing the clog.

He then cleared the clog with the machine that cuts the inside of the pipe clear and showed me the result by running the camera up the drain line again. My mom's clogged drain line problems were solved.

But Victor went above and beyond: He ran the camera towards the city's sewer line under the street (which had been draining well all along). He showed me a place where the main drain line had separated and one pipe had settled downward with respect to another, causing a narrowing of the sewer line.

I have three bathrooms, and every once in a while when I let the water out of the bathtub upstairs-KABOOM! I come downstairs to a mess!
