Able sent one this week that was smarter than others but wanted 2500 to dig up a pipe when I am trying to say- it's leaking here- look how wet the ground is here! So after I dig up the broken pipe and want them to come repair the break, they do not return my calls. Two days before a 3 day holiday weekend and I have a 98 year old mother who needs laundry every day.

I think I have to find a new company. Awesome experience, called for a gas leak, they came same day and fixed pipe in no time.

Service rep was very knowledgeable and personable. I found Able Plumbing in my Pearland's Best Magazine and they were able to dispatch a plumber same day AND did not charge me an arm and a leg like some other companies were going to.

Will definitely use and recommend Able Plumbing again! This is the worst experience with a company that I have ever had. Able plumbing put in our water heaters about a year ago.

Then they suddenly go out two new water heaters after spending over $3000 dollars I was told numerous times that this is not their problem! Workers are rude and very unprofessional. No help getting the water heater parts and when we did find the parts they came to replace them the plumber was rude and broke another part that apparently nobody has??? Worst company ever! It's almost like they are all trained to say not our problem.

That's a lot of money for a company that doesn't back the products that they put in. Thanks Ben(Owner) for the lack of sympathy to our situation you got paid and we got crap.

We have been customers of yours and have referred you out for years since we moved to Texas in 2001 you would think you would have better customer service and sympathy for repeating clients. Help was needed and none was given.

Unfortunately, I woke the owner up! He was very kind about it and got my information. A plumber (Jimmy) was on his way to my house at 8 am.

He showed up exactly when he said he would. He replaced my garbage disposal and refit the pipes under the sink so that food didn't fly up the other side of the sink when the disposal was used.

He was very tidy, friendly and the cost was much lower than I anticipated. Able Plumbing came highly recommended by my neighbors and I see why! I will definitely hire them in the future for any plumbing needs.

They do not guarantee their work. They say they do but when it comes down to it they don't.

I had them fix a leak exactly 5 weeks ago and the fitting that they put in busted two days ago. They claimed That that would not happen.

I was told that they guarantee their work when I called in the morning but when it was time to come out and fix it they changed their mind so we were left with no water with six people and 10 animals. They said they could come out but I'd have to pay full price I didn't want to use someone that doesn't do quality work so thank goodness another company was able to come out that evening.

We were told the fitting they used was to small for that job. The other company could not believe that they did not honor their work and fix that for us.

We just moved into our house and had 3 plumbing issues. I called Able Plumbing and they took care of the problems.

No more leaky toilets and sinks. We are very happy.

I will be using them again. Dwayne did a very good job figuring out the best way to handle the issues and fixed it all.

Can I text or email to set up the service? On September 27th we requested a service call from Able plumbing, a company we have used for the past 10 years. The call was to determine why we did not have hot water in the downstairs portion of our home.

The service man, whom we have been told is named Nate arrived and rapidly concluded that we needed a new hot water heater at a cost of $1400.00 + which gave us pause. The next day we had our handy man give us his opinion, he quickly discovered a burned-out wire, he tested this and determined there was no power to the hot water heater.

We had a licensed electrician replace the wire and have had no further problems with the hot water heater. We telephoned Able plumbing to advise them of the problem and to request a refund of the $120.00 we had paid for nothing.

Nate claimed that he unplugged the hot water heater which was a lie as there is no plug to the unit. Fortunately we are out only $120.00, but this attempted scam is alarming and after 10 years we are no longer clients of Able plumbing.

Dwayne was an absolute God-send! We had a pipe break in our yard and I was fearing the worst. He was able to find it, replace it, and have the running into my house instead of into the street within 1.5 hours.

I am so thankful to have my water on again and the entire process with this company was great. They called when they needed to reschedule (well in advance) and then when they showed up for the appointment, they actually came within the 2 hour window like they said they would.

Dwayne was knowledgeable and friendly and I am so thankful for him and this company! I highly recommend them! I was thrilled with the customer service! Needed a water shut-off valve replaced quickly and Able squeezed me in to their schedule the same day I called. Heath arrived shortly after I called and was very polite and professional and did the job quickly.

Thank you! I'm definitely calling Able the next time I need plumbing services. WARNING: Forced to pay over $400 an hour!! I've been using Able Plumbing for years and I've always felt like I received good service for a reasonable price.

After today I will never use them again. A few days ago our toilets wouldn't flush.

I called Able and they come out afterhours. That first trip, lasting maybe an hour, was $310 to tell me the sewer line was full of mud and would need to be dug up and repaired.

The next morning they quoted me a starting price of $2,000 to dig up and repair the line within four feet of the clean out. The price sounded reasonable not knowing exactly what was wrong and the level of effort that might be involved.

I signed the contract and agreed. They couldn't get the digger out until the next day, so now we are going on two days without toilets.

The digger shows up the following morning and works for a total of two hours. He was able to clear the line so at least we could use our water again.

The plumber came out the next morning and worked for another two or three hours repairing the broken pipe. The total time spent on the repair was five hours.

I called the main office and asked if the price could be reduced since $2,000 divided by five hours is $400 an hour. Half of that time was for the digger that isn't even a licensed plumber.

Able Plumbing was completely unwilling to agree on any kind of a fair price. They took $100 off, which I basically consider a slap in the face.

I signed the contract so I paid $1,900 plus the $310 for the afterhours visit. I own a business and if I treated my customers like this, I wouldn't have repeat business.

The plumber that was onsite told me he makes $60 and hour and I know they don't pay the digger very much. Able Plumbing just lost all my future business, my family and friends future business.

I'm going to leave this negative review on all social media I can find. I've recommended Able Plumbing on the Facebook Friendswood Mom's and Dad's group several times.

Now when there are posts asking for a recommended plumbing company, I am going to reply with a warning about using Able Plumbing. They were there when my nephews company needed them...

I would definitely recommend these guys!!! I had to find a new plumber and I hit the jackpot! Customer service is professional and answers any of my dumb questions. Reece is the plumber we have had on a few calls, and he is GREAT! The work is still holding up and it was done quickly and so worth the money.

Called with. Backed up toilet came and announced time called first.

Had to remove toilet to try and get out stuck material . Got the deodorant stick out and reset toilet .

All within 45 mins I called these guys this morning and they came this afternoon to unclog my garbage disposal and to look at another drain. Super nice, knowledgeable and didn't try to take advantage of me and try to sell me anything I didn't need.

SO I HIGHLY recommend this place. Reese was our plumber and he was very down to earth and I didn't ever feel like he was trying to get one over on me, which can happen with plumbers and electricians in my experience.

He explained how to prevent my clog from happening next time and took the time to show me exactly what he was doing. GREAT PLUMBING COMPANY!! Had an emergency they came quickly and well within the timeframe they provided me! The guy was efficient, clean and very helpful.

They changed out my water heater and cleaned up (job well done) after themselves. .....So why the low rating? Well they charged me $1688.34 to replace a $568 water heater.I guess the lesson here is to get a quote BEFORE the work is done.

Recently we had a water heater inlet leak, in a day our kitchen floor (parquet) was severely damaged and other rooms could have been affected but luckily we were ABLE to get ABLE early the next morning! Dwayne responded before 8 am from up in Houston to our El Lago/Seabrook address. He was friendly, quick, informative and very competent and shutoff the leak and repaired the piping! I called Able Plumbing on December 20th because I had a water leak in my bathroom. Water was leaking from behind the shower (I suspected), and was causing water to come soak the wood floors around the shower.

I called them and asked if someone could come out find the leak. My wife was home alone when the plumber showed up.

She said he came in, noticed the water under the floor, looked in the drain, and said "Yes, you have a water leak. You need to tear up the sheet rock and find the leak, then I will come fix it." He then told her she owed 60 dollars for that estimate.

Once she told me this, I was angry. I already knew I had a water leak.

I called him to come and figure out where, and if I wanted to spend what he wanted to charge, to fix the issue. I guess in retrospect, this is on me for not being more clear in my initial call.

However, I still feel like I just paid a man 60 dollars to tell me what I already knew. Needless to say, I will not be calling Able Plumbing again.

I am building a beach house in Galveston and I called Able Plumbing for help. They came out the next day to look at the issues and see everything that a different plumber/company had messed up on the house.

Able plumbing repaired everything and even found additional items that were not correct. They are absolutely amazing!!!!!!! They went step by step on what was wrong, how they would fix it and the cost of each repair.

As a woman so many male dominated services have a tendency to treat or assume you don't know or are unwilling to learn. Able plumbing doesn't treat you that way at all in fact by the time they were finished it was like I had been given a quick class on plumbing.

I know I asked alot of questions (quick class) but they were happy to answer. They are the only plumbing company I will ever call!!! Customer beware! Service guy spent 30 minutes arguing with my warranty company over a leaky faucet repair which was totally covered! He refused to do the job - but demanded the service fee of $75.00 (of which they cashed)! I spoke to the owner and he just made excuses.

Nate was the plumber sent out and he said the water heater had to be replaced. He and a laborer installed a new 40 gallon water heater (which they happen to have).

Nate and his labor David were at the house for maybe 2.5 hours (and I am being generous with the estimated time spent at my house). My bill was $1500.

I was charged $610 plus tax for the water heater and $840 for labor. I was shocked but then came the insult.

I have had an open charge account with Able Plumbing and have NEVER been 1 day late paying. Payment was demanded because of the uncertainty the virus was causing with the mail and/or banks (a direct summary from the receptionist).

The CFO said all their invoices state payment is due at time of service. It says that but that is not how Able Plumbing and I have conducted business in the past.

I started checking around and the average cost for a licensed plumber is $125/per hour and a laborer/helper is $50 per hour. The cost of a 40 gallon water heater ranges from $300 to $650.

No one discussed the price and/or brand of the water heater nor does Able Plumbing list their hourly rates. I trusted Able Plumbing to enter my home, complete the work NEEDED at a fair price.

I refuse to do business with anyone that takes advantage of my trust. Annette Graves Able was assigned to do a repair for me by HWA home warranty.

The service team was prompt, efficient and left the area clean. I have saved their number as my new go to guys.

Their service can't be beat! Great job fast service and reasonable prices. They took care of my replacing my gas line and I will definitely recommend to my friends! The plumber Nick was polite and skillful.

But he experimented with various solutions, that is, he started with changing some parts and since that did not work, he was about to change some other parts. But only when he was told to change the whole assembly, he did that.

By that time 3 hours passed. It could have gone for hours if I didn't get involved.

So which was only less than one hour work ($120) cost me 3 hours ($360). To me, charging by hours and experimenting fixes is kind off rip-off.
