Review and analyze now for company Summit Heating A/C Plumbing & Electric and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Summit came out on a very hot weekend for an emergency repair and got the AC for our business back to a cool temperature quickly. Their tech Jason was great, professional, honest, and thorough.
He pulled the failing parts & even showed the capacitance with the multimeter to demonstrate they had gone bad. My only complaint was that when we booked the appointment it was not disclosed that there was an additional fee for a repair because it was for a business.
That said, it wasn't an easy repair (the AC unit is in the ceiling 30' up) and they did a great job. Brian did a great job replacing an outside faucet and redirecting another.
The only concern I have was the price. Came and troubleshooting our furnace Gave simple clear demonstration of each issue identified along with options to remedy.
Fully completed all service in a single visit with ongoing options to save money on parts long term. Call out fee was as agreed albeit the time to complete over ran.
From the estimate experience to the final install, Summit has exceeded my expectations in customer service with thorough estimates up front and problem solving a hard to get to area for the new furnace installation. Sam provided detailed options for consideration and described in each estimate the advantages and disadvantages for comparison.
As a single female homeowner, I appreciate the straight talk he provided without the pressure to commit. The install team of Frank and Vince had to cut the old furnace in half in order to remove it from the basement hatch in the floor by my kitchen.
This meant that we had to figure out a way to get the new furnace into the basement space, through the same floor hatch opening. All possibilities were discussed until we came up with a modification plan to cut through the floor to expand the existing opening and reframe it later in order to accommodate the new furnace dimensions.
The electrical hook up team of Hector and Mike were kind and patient while modifications were made. Hector even used the time to kindly correct two minor issues that he noted could be a problem, even though they weren't directly related to the install connection.
Overall I am pleased with my new furnace, though I was left with the challenge to reframe the now larger opening in my floor. Understanding that the install took more time than planned for a clean up that day, Frank and Vince returned on a following day to finish the job clean up.
Keep smiling Summit gentlemen - it helps to keep the customer happy through the unforeseen and challenging moments that arise with a 120 yo old home! Btw, this would have been a five star review if I did not have to spend the following day purchasing materials and reconstructing the opening that had to be cut away for the new furnace install. Fifty dollars and a half day of my time and a sufficient repair was made, this time with lag screws - just in case.
Had a contract with them for a heat pump system and prepared quite some things I had to do for the agreed upon installation date. I also took a day off for the installation day.
They didn't show and did not bother to call me until an hour into the appointment telling me that they did not get the equipment. I just got a "sorry" which you could tell from the snippy voice of the lady was not meant at all.
Extremely bad people - I would stay away from that company! Summit is the only company I trust to service my and my family members' HVAC. They have skilled technicians who are knowledgeable and don't try to upsell.
For installations, they beat the competition on price and quality. Paul arrived for our appointment right on time.
He listened closely to my problem, polite and very thorough. I hadn't replaced my heater filter for many months as it's in the crawl space.
He looked at my heating unit and said it looked good to go. I'm considering their contract rate for regular checkups.
It's less expensive than the other guys. I highly recommend these guys and will use them again.
It's so nice to have the A/C back to working! Same day service! Had to reschedule and was very understanding and accommodating. Very responsive through texts and phone calls.
I went with Summit because of their good Yelp reviews and it was a good choice. We just moved into a new house and I wanted to get our HVAC, furnace, and water heater serviced.
Jake was great. He was able to fix the two problems he found while he was here at our house.
He made sure to explain everything he found and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me on things we didn't need. We'll continue to use them for our yearly servicing going forward.
We have had the best luck with this company. Previously replaced our furnace and A/C unit with them.
This time we opted for a new hot water heater, before the old one failed. Jason and Nate were on time, courteous, very tidy, and done in under 2 hours.
They have great maintenance/service plans, too. They may not be the cheapest, but their service speaks for itself.
Saved a fortune with these wonderful folks! Highly recommend in every way. Wonderful service on and off site.
Great value and quick response. We are going to them for everything.
This is a follow up to our earlier review. We have been using them now over the years.
Each time what we schedule gets done as scheduled. Now it's mostly what I call tuneups for AC or heating but we've always found them reliable and honest! When you're getting dependable service you stick with it! Reliability in this area is critical to us and we shall continue on as loyal customers with them! Excellent service from sales to install.
I am going all-in on electric and heat pumps, and am interested in mini-split systems as well as using the new Denver climate action rebates. The mini-split solutions are flexible but complex, with a wide variety of configurations to support heating and cooling different zones, but Jeremy was interested and engaged (so many firms just want to replace your natural gas furnace and traditional AC).
He came up with clever ideas that I hadn't thought of, and was open to listening to my ideas to come up with a solution. I was sold! When it came time to install it took only a day and the electrician, Eloy, did a great job sorting out our panel and working with me to find the most unobtrusive route for the new power lines.
Vincent and Frank were professional installing the unit--they were neat and had everything wrapped up by 5:00. After that Casi and Deanna in the home office took care of registering my warranty with the manufacturer, filling out the forms for the rebates with Xcel and the city, and scheduling my inspection.
All along the way everyone was communicative and receptive to my input and the price was the best I found to boot. Great job! They replaced our furnace and a/C.
Great communication, and Vincent and Frank were fantastic. Wonderful customer service.
Definitely recommend this company. ?? I called when they missed their scheduled appointment.
The lady that finally answered asked for all the details and said she would contact the technician. I never heard back at all so I had Done! plumbing fix it the next day.
I rate them negative one star based on this experience. GO ELSEWHERE.
Called and set an appointment with them. 15 minutes before they are supposed to arrive, they call my husband (who was on another call) and leave a message saying they won't be coming.
No explanation given or call back to reschedule. We both tried calling the number they called from as well as the business number in the email confirmation (which were different numbers) and neither one went through.
STAY AWAY. Now we have to find someone else to do the work, and our toilet remains unusable.
Update- the owner called to explain that the call was just to say that they were going to be late. However, the message that was left by the receptionist was that the plumber was UNABLE TO COME DUE TO AN ISSUE.
The owner then tried to blame us for a miscommunication. He also explained that their phone system was down, yet my husband and I both tried to call within minutes of receiving their message (so it was working then).
The owner seemed more concerned about my Yelp review and ended the call with telling me he was going to work with Yelp to get the review removed. Great customer service, and likely why they have so many positive reviews.
Apparently the honest ones get taken down. Updating my review from 1.5 years ago after a great service experience.
We used Summit to replace our HVAC and water heater in December of 2022 when we were living out of state/had tenants in our home. Roughly 1.5 years later, we moved back into the home where they installed and were not satisfied with the placement of the vent pipe for the tankless water heater.
The Summit team was outstanding. They were empathetic to our situation, rectified the situation at no cost/no questions asked.
Sky, the gentleman who completed the work, was a true professional - great communication, mindful of our home. Very happy with the service and Summit's commitment to getting it right.
Highly recommend. Summit Heating and AC has been our go-to for HVAC maintenance, and their service consistently exceeds expectations.
As a realtor, I frequently recommend them to clients, and they never disappoint. Their team is reliable, showing up on time and doing the job right.
Recently, we decided to upgrade our furnace and air conditioner, along with adding a whole-house humidifier and air purifier. Jeremiah provided invaluable guidance, explaining all our options thoroughly and helping us select the perfect units for our needs.
During the installation process, Frank and Vincent were exceptional. They managed everything with precision and professionalism, ensuring a smooth transition to our new systems.
Overall, Summit Heating and AC delivers top-notch service from start to finish. I couldn't be happier with the results and will continue to trust them for all our HVAC needs.
Tech came out and was professional. The response time was good and on time.
The evaluation that was done identified what I knew to be the problem. Due to heavy pressure to upsale additional membership and service that weren't needed or asked for, I got competitive quotes that all came at a better price.
As a first-time homeowner, I am learning as I go, and Summit has been an invaluable resource. Whenever I need plumbing, heating, or A/C work, Summit is my first call.
Their service has consistently been top-notch, with knowledgeable technicians who always deliver quality work. Anthony, our regular plumber, has become a familiar and friendly presence in our home.
He not only understands our unique needs, including our pets and veggie garden, but he also takes the time to explain every task and its cost-benefit in a very friendly manner. Summit's fair and upfront pricing is a breath of fresh air.
I hope they continue to provide their excellent service for many years to come! I cannot recommend this company enough! They came in nearly $2000 below the estimate of another company, and with a higher quality furnace. Sam, our first contact and project lead, was very knowledgeable, explaining the process very clearly and answering all of our questions.
He was very polite and professional. Two days later, Sal and his apprentice arrived promptly at 8 am and jumped right in to our creepy crawl space, aka The Dungeon.
They removed the 20 year old furnace, and installed the new one in about 6 hours. Like Sam, Sal and his apprentice were friendly, polite, and professional.
Hector the electrician came promptly after Sal had completed their part of the job and finished up. Hector was, of course, polite and professional.
7 hours, and the job is done. I believe in supporting local businesses if possible.
Summit is a perfect example of why to do so. Sam, Sal, and Hector work directly for Summit, they are not subcontractors.
They care about doing the job right, supporting the customer, and making sure their company shines. Seriously, I can't say enough about Summit! Robert has been amazing throughout my whole process.
Had an issue after new condenser installed. Shawn service mgr came out next day to evaluate issue and recommended they replace unit with another one.
Summit has made me believe there are good, professional companies out there. Chris K.
I reached out to Summit because of their good reviews on yelp and google and they did not disappoint. Been dealing a nightmare install from a separate HVAC contractor through a home warranty, and I reached out to Summit for an inspection for the work performed.
Summit provided me an amazingly thorough inspection and report with tons of pictures and details regarding the safety issues and code violations from the previous contractor. Summit listened carefully to my situation and provided professional service and a very quick turnaround.
Their technician Shane Sperry is kind, courteous and truly has the customers best interests in mind. Pricing for replacement of my condenser, evaporator, and furnace was competitive from what I've seen from other reputable HVAC contractors in the area.
Would whole heartedly recommend to anyone in need! We've used Summit Heating & A/C for annual air conditioning and furnace maintenance since we moved into our house in Denver in 2014. They have always provided high quality work with excellent customer service.
Summit replaced our furnace in 2019 and today Vincent and Frank did a great job replacing our old water heater and ancient humidifier. They arrived and completed the work on time, were friendly and excellent communicators, were very respectful of being in our home (eg, automatically put on shoe covers), happily answered questions, pulled in a Summit electrician to quickly add a needed outlet, and left us feeling well informed about how to use and maintain our new equipment.
We will continue to use and recommend Summit for heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical needs. I hired Summit to replace my HVAC with a cold climate heat pump and had a really good experience.
Jeremy provided the estimate. He asked questions to ensure he understood my priorities and was super knowledgeable about options that would work well for me.
Then, Vincent and Frank did an excellent job with the installation. They were thorough, efficient, and professional.
Definitely a five-star experience all around. March 18, 2024 Aurora CO I had delayed (for a couple of years) trying to find someone to place a dehumidifier in my subfloor.
Under my house, there is an 18"-30" subfloor with the floor being made of dirt. When it snows/melts, or rains, the dirt gets very muddy.
We have a couple of fans down there to try and make it drier, but they just aren't enough for how wet it gets. (Even had Rod Martin Complete Basement Systems install a sump pump to help, but it's not enough.) Someone was down there in November and said that some of our weight bearing metal supports are rusting.
I knew I couldn't wait any longer to do something, so I spent a couple of days reading all the reviews on Yelp. So I called Summit Heating and A/C, and Jeremiah quickly came to my house to see the problem with his own eyes.
After he belly-crawled around in the muddy and cold crawl space, he climbed back out the little hole (in a closet), and we sat at the kitchen table for an hour going over options, and he called his supplier to make sure he could get what I wanted. I agreed to his bid, and 1 week later, his crew showed up on time to do the work.
The work I had them do was to install a dehumidifier into the subfloor and plumb it into the sump pump that pumps the water out to the yard; to flush my 75 gallon hot water heater, I had them install a whole-house surge protector, and I asked them to fix a leaky toilet. Cody and Jack came at the time I told them to come (after I took a child to school), and got right to work by 8:45am.
They worked on everything all day, and went above and beyond. The "Sears" guy has told me for years that I shouldn't have him change the rusty pipes from leaky water on top of my hot water heater.
But now they've been like that for maybe 10 years, and they are pretty bad. So Jack removed both of them and replaced them with brand new fittings.
One of them was so corroded that it snapped in 2, or somehow broke easily as he was removing it! And then after he got the water back on, I wanted to make sure it was heating, so I went to a tub to turn on water, and the handle came off in my hand! Jack kindly went out to his truck and found the right screw driver, and replaced it for me. (I wasn't charged any additional for these 2 kindnesses!) While both Cody and Jack were in the subfloor, and got their paper overalls COVERED in mud, Cody was really down there the longest, making it so the dehumidifier would drain properly into the sump pump pipe.
(He was down there with about 18" - 2' clearance for 5 hours or more! ) I had a million questions, and both Cody and Jack patiently explained everything to me, like where the control dial is, how to turn it off, how to change the filter. Cody pulled up the correct filter on Amazon and let me take a picture of it with my cell phone.
Both guys (all 3 in fact) took lots of pictures they shared with me, to show me everything that was going on, and how they plumbed it and stuff. Forgot to mention that Mike the Summit electrician arrived at 10am and installed the the whole house surge protector for me in short order.
Then he explained how he had to move certain electrical parts to lower parts, because the surge protector has to be at the top. He used his label maker to make sure I knew what went to what, after he made the changes.
Cody and Jack also used their label maker to type up what size filter to buy, and what was where. I loved that, because I am a big user of my label maker too! Jeremiah was available to me all day by phone, and Cody and Jack kept the phones hot with updates to him.
Just as Cody and Jack were finishing up at 4:15pm, Jeremiah came on site to look at all the work that was completed, and to make sure I was satisified. He said that he would contact the secretary and let her know that in 3 weeks, he will schedule to come back to see how dry it is down there, and if we can reduce the dehumidifier from 80 to 70 or so.
(or less.) By then it should have dried up the standing water that is pooled down there. And oh, I won't be charged for them coming back to check on things! They will also let me know at that time, how frequently I'll need to change the filters.
They placed the dehumidifier to where I can reach the filters and dial just by sitting on the edge of the hole to the subfloor, so I don't have to crawl around in the mud/dirt. Was super impressed by everyone's knowledge, (all 4: Jeremiah, Jack, Cody, and Mike the electrician.) I think Jeremiah and Jack have both been doing plumbing and hvac for 25 years or so, apiece, so I felt confident that they knew what they were doing! All were very nice to work with, and I look forward to having them come again.
They were awesome at answering my questions (that must have taken at least an hour or more of their day!), not to mention fixing other things that came up that I wasn't even charged for! Thanks guys, for making this as easy and seamless as possible to finally get this done!! Sincerely, D. I called to try to get a "free quote" as stated in YELP but I they said that they don't give quotes over the phone in that you must pay the $99.95 cost to have them give you a quote.
I already know whats wrong but no one would tell me approximately what it would cost (I just need about 1 lb of freon added to a Trane air conditioner). I had a friend recommend Summit to me and I've very thankful he did.
I had Luis come out and for an estimate for heatpump and mini-splits. He did a great job listening to my desires and determining the equipment I needed to keep my upstairs bedrooms cool.
I had a quote from another company and Summit's was better and they are eligible for the Xcel and Denver rebates. I got the work done last week and Luis was communicative throughout the process and following up to make sure things were done well.
I had to have some electrical work done to support the heatpump and the electricians Hector and Mike did a really great job (functional and aesthetic) installing a new subpanel and conduit to support the system. They made a point to make sure I understood what they were going to do and answer questions.
Vincent and Frank were my installers. They did an AMAZING job, I never would have guessed it would look as good as it does before they started.
The external line-hides look really good. They made a point to seal up everything very well.
I got a ceiling cassette and two wall-mount mini-splits, they all look and function perfect. Vincent and Frank were super professional, communicative, and they left my rooms and yard cleaner than they were before they started.
Deanna is going out of her way in helping me with the rebates! I highly recommend Summit!! Got an AC with them. Things did not go well with them from the start.
Started with a 3 hour information on AC, the sales guy just wouldn't leave. After installed took them so long to email me a inspection certificate it was already October(AC was installed earlier in summer).
Then covid happened. Finally got AC inspected.
Recently noticed that the U shaped drain pipe leaked. Called them on a weekend, backup support took the information and never called back.
Called them a week later and they said they will have to come over for $99 diagnostic fee? I told them it's a simple case of drainage pipe work not done right. They won't stand by their work and said sorry there is no way around this fee.
Then gave me an incorrect email address that gave a failed email notification. Your message wasn't delivered to inquiries@summitco.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.
Precision maybe expensive but my husband used them for his property and they always stand by their work. Come to you the same day and don't charge it it's an issue with their work....
Even years later. Just had Summit Heating & A/C out to repair our noisy furnace.
Scheduling was fast & easy. Joe the Technician provided excellent service.
He diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly. Joe also took the time to talk with me regarding furnace operations & maintenance - very educational.
Great value! Will definitely keep Summit in our go-to list for future HVAC work. Call Summit - you won't be disappointed.
In 2019 Summit installed a new furnace, air conditioner and tankless water heater in my home, at a cost of $18,600. The installation was fraught with problems, including the wrong furnace being installed, the exhaust pipe for the water heater installed in a position that could cause the pipe to freeze in cold weather (potentially causing carbon monoxide to back up into the house), and the furnace intake vent installed in a way that made the furnace work harder than necessary to pull in outside air (the last problem caught by the county inspector).
For my trouble, Summit offered me $100 refund on the installation. Instead I negotiated free maintenance for the life of the appliances.
Fast forward to September 2023. After a Summit technician flushed the water heater I had no hot water.
It turns out he forgot to turn the gas back on. That technician also insisted that flushing the water heater was not included in the negotiated free service and charged me $247, despite my showing him a letter from Summit confirming the agreement.
When I spoke to supervisor J.T., he promised a refund. It's now been 3 1/2 months with no refund, despite leaving messages with Summit's receptionist and answering service specifically asking that J.T.
contact me. Great experience working with Summit.
They were very knowledgeable, well organized and professional. I told my wife I forgot what "good" customer service looked like until I worked with Summit.
Summit helped us fix a gas leak, install a new furnace and replace our water heater. Sky (our service manager) did a great job explaining the work and our options for what would be best for our house.
Highly recommend! Working with Summit was a great experience. The quality of their work is the best we have seen, hands down.
They are down to earth, friendly but professional, very knowledgable, and competent unlike many other contractors we have dealt with in the past. They arrive on time and the overall work looks clean and amazing when finished.
They care about what they leave behind. The project lead, Amado, was wonderful to work with.
He answered all of our questions and kept us abreast of everything that was going on. We are extremely fussy but after the first day we realized we were in good hands.
The stress levels dropped immediately. We highly recommend Summit and we cannot say enough good things about them.
We had our furnace motor go out on the weekend, and they came over and fixed the program. They were super helpful, prompt, and professional.
We were very happy with their service. Summit Heating was very timely and professional.
They did a great job. I highly recommend them.
Great experience working with Summit. They were very knowledgeable, well organized and professional.
It seems like anymore you don't get good customer service but that was not the case with Summit. In October, we had to get a new furnace and water heater.
We also needed a new evaporator cooler. Summit stored our evaporator cooler until our roof was replaced in February.
Summit did a great job coordinating with the roofing company so both projects could be done at the same time. Sky and Tyler worked with the roofers and got the evaporator in place.
Sky and Tyler came back a week later to add vents in two rooms. They did an excellent job explaining what they needed to do to add the vents, they wore booties, they put tarps down on the floor and did a great job with the clean up.
They were both very professional and kind. I would highly recommended Summit and Sky and Tyler.
They've got good reviews so I'm not sure what happened. The rep that came to give us a quote to add an A/C to our current forced air furnace system told us that our ducting was severely undersized and that he couldn't quote it.
He instead quoted us a new heat pump system at over $26k! I looked up the design standards of ducting for a forced air system and roughly determined he was wrong - since then we've had our ac installed by another contractor and it works great. Please get multiple quotes for any work needed! Had used summit several years ago no problems.
Called them again and left message with service. Afternoon comes no call back.
Turns out they no.longer service modular homes. I am in a senior retirement community.
Rather than call me back and letting me know to find another company they ghosted me leaving me in the heat. So sad and depressing no one cares about us seniors When we called to make the appointment Deana was very kind and courteous.
Jake called us with time estimate he would arrive per Google maps, the day of the appointment. Jake was professional and thorough in checking out our AC system.
Would recommend to others. I found this company quite by chance; just looking for a/c that was close to Roxborough, and actually answered the phone on Saturday/Sunday.
Anyway, the service has been stellar (professional and knowledgeable each time). Today I'm finally getting off my lazy patootie to write my full-throated recommendation.
This Summit company is exactly what a small business should be! Jeremy came by first, and pointed out what had been done wrong, but now Sky and Tyler our our heroes! They've both worked on our basement remodel. My husband I totally trust those two men; we know they don't "try to upsell" as so many AVAC companies do.
Thank you so muchSky and Tyler- Susan and Tim Moore I hired Summit Heating & A/C to replace some vents in my basement. They responded quickly and setting up a appointment for an estimate was quick and easy.
I liked the price they quoted and they got the job completed in less than a hour. Jacob, the technician who did the install, was great and the work was top notch.
Definitely a company I'd do business with again in the future We needed some work on our furnace because we are selling our house and need to get it all fixed up. Jason is an excellent technician and really goes above and beyond with his service.
He teaches you about what needs fixing and why, which I really appreciate knowing. Very professional and they get the work done quickly and clean up behind themselves as well.
I would highly recommended Summit heating & A/C. We've been using Summit for our Heat and Central air for years now.
We ended up having a plumbing issue, and we were so relieved when we found out they now offer plumbing services. Carlos B.
Came out, and just when I didn't think their service could be any better, he blew it out of the water. Carlos was professional, and provided great insight.
I am so thankful to have a one stop shop for my household maintenance issues. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend.
Do not use thus company. We endured an awful experience with Summit.
In July they installed a new furnace and a.c.. In October we started get "Urgent Service" codes on the thermostat.
From October 17 to November 17 they were at our home 2-3 times a week. In our home for 2-10 hours each time.
It was disruptive, invasive, frustrating and nothing worked. The Urgent code kept coming back on.
Last night - Friday- was the final straw. Summit advertises "EMERGENCY SERVICE".
Not true. It you call on Friday they don't return a call until Monday.
FALSE ADVERTISING. Saturday morning we called a different company.
Within 15 minutes the owner called us back and was able to explain the problem that SUMMIT COULD NOT FIX or explain. SUMMIT advertises false hours.
And clearly their staff is NOT up to date on new Lennox technology. We are very disappointed but relieved that a different company was able to help.
Summit accommodated an unusual request when none of the other contractors would. The technicians were semi-punctual, professional, and personable.
The two-man crew showed up half an hour early - when I was in the shower. They had been given a different window than I had been given.
Communication and clarity are everything. Ultimately, the job was done and done well.
Carlos the plummer is amazing! He came out to help me and solved my problem very quickly and efficiently! He is very knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain things that I didn't understand and was very patient and helpful. Very worth it, and I really appreciate the excellent job and work ethic!! Thank you Carlos! Elected to get rid of my 29-year-old furnace and A/C.
Shayne came out and made a thorough review of my house, its square footage and existing system. He laid out and we discussed several options.
I made my choice and my system was installed one week later. David's installation crew was courteous, on time, efficient and proficient.
I am very pleased with their work. We had Summit install a furnace in our older home.
We had received a previous quote from another company but their customer service was lacking so we went with Summit and was extremely pleased. They were on time, efficient, explained everything we needed to come up to code for the city of Denver.
Frank and Vincent were amazing to work with and Shane made the pricing process easy and detailed to make an educated decision. Thank you Summit! Had Jeremy out to quote an AC/furnace replacement.
Selected Summit over two other companies. Jack and Sky did the demo and install with help from Apollo.
Eloy did the electrical work. Fantastic teamwork and great result.
We love our AC, and the team did extremely good work. No complaints at all.
They left the worksite clean, and treated out home with respect. They were prompt, hardworking and very professional.
I will select Summit for future work. Needed an annual service on my furnace.
Summit was on-time, courteous, and helpful. The were running a special that kept the costs down.
No upcharges or high pressure sales pitch. We'll use them again.
We had been having problems with our furnace and called our "usual" company for an estimate. After finding out it will cost $1,100 to fix, we decided to get a second opinion.
I found Summit on Yelp, read their reviews and decided to call them. Someone came out the very next morning and diagnosed the problem and it only cost $240 to fix.
Our furnace is now running smoothly and I'm glad we chose to get a second opinion. Thank you Craig at Summit for your help! Summit replaced the AC system in my historic two-story brick home this summer.
After getting an estimate, the system was installed efficiently and has worked flawlessly. One issue with the installation was the conduit that was run externally for about 10 feet to the GFI outlet.
When asked, the electricians came out and re-ran the wire internally. Now, the outlet is right next to the AC unit.
I am delighted with the work, as were the city inspectors. I had Summit put in a new furnace & heat pump 4.5 years ago and just in the last couple months, I noticed that the heat pump wasn't working as effectively as it had been.
Earlier today, Sky & Tyler (I think that was his name) came out, found a leak in the coils, replaced the coils entirely, and refilled the refrigerant... good as new & all on warranty! Thank you! Bait and switch situation.
Called and requested routine cleaning for my AC unit. I do this once a year but my usual guy was unable to come out.
Was quoted 99 dollars for the service. The tech came out and did a diagnostic test and a "light cleaning" for the 99.
He then told me to clean the coil would cost 180 more and that it wasn't included in the cleaning I requested. I called management to discuss my frustrations of being quoted an additional 180 for the service that I requested when I originally called for.
They said it's how they do things and that they would only discount the service 30$ for a cleaning. I ended up being charged 250$ for routine maintenance that other companies charge 150-180 for.
Will not be using this company again. Anthony came out and replaced our water heater, some piping, and some gas piping.
Got out quick for the estimate, and shortly after for the install. Was really nice, professional, and fairly priced.
We'll be calling him anytime we need anything in the future, and are using another branch or summit for some HVAC work (which Anthony has knowledge on and offered us initial guidance). Thank you!!! It was freezing in our house yesterday because the heating failed (about 25 degrees outside).
I called Summit and Jake came out within a few hours. Jake fixed the heating and also tuned it up.
The gas regulator had the wrong pressure for our elevation. We will be using Summit going forward for all our HVAC, electrical, and plumbing needs.
Thanks, Jake. Carlos is a great plumber! We always request him from Summit.
He is fun to be around and is very knowledgeable. He fixed several mistakes that other plumbers made in our home and suggested and installed improvements to keep our home safe from water damage long term.
Thank you Carlos! Our Nest alerted us that our furnace wasn't working when we were out of town on a 7 degree morning! Summit Heating answered the phone at 6:30 am and had a technician on-site by 8:00 am!! Jacob Todd, our technician, did an OUTSTANDING job troubleshooting and repairing our furnace. His communication was great and he had it running again in about an hour.
I highly recommend Summit Heating & A/C and specifically Jacob Todd!! Either these guys are totally unprofessional or they tried to scam me but they basically told me my compressor died and I'm better off replacing the whole unit which they quoted at $5000 and then raised to $6000 the next day (though nothing had changed since the first quote). I ended up calling another company that came and fixed the AC for $350 and it's running great ever since.
