We called Around the Clog to have two items taken care of: 1) The water pressure setting was a bit too low (45 pps) and needed to be increased to around 65 pps. 2) Our liquid propane grill needed to be converted to use natural gas.

Heather, who helped us schedule the appointment was very friendly and scheduling was a breeze. Doug who performed the work was also quite friendly and seemed knowledgable about the work being done.

The water pressure change went off without a hitch. Doug was also able to swap the liquid propane regulator to the grill with a natural gas regulator and tested that the burners worked.

The next day when we were trying to use the grill we could not get the grill temperature above 250 degrees when we would normally have been able to get it to 500 pretty quickly. I left a couple messages with Heather to have Doug call me so I could see what he thought the problem was but never heard back from him.

Afterward I did my own research on the Internet to see if others had the same problem I found that in addition to the regulator change the burner gas orifices also need to be changed to work with natural gas. If Doug new this, he did not mention it to me.

If he didn't then perhaps he isn't as knowledgable as he seemed. Either way, it was a disappointment that probably could have been avoided.

Awesome! Came out and tried to diagnose why my septic system was backing up. He quickly found that the breaker on the outlet that the pump is hooked to had blown simple as that.

Charged me a minimum fee to figure that out and was on his way. I love it when work gets done honestly and quickly, I would highly recommend them again in the future.

Great service. Our faucet was coming on automatically and running water.

It was on a Friday night and we had to leave to go out of town on Sunday. They answered our questions with a text and assured us they can fix it in the morning.

Wow!!! What other plumbers told me couldn't be done without re-modeling my whole bathroom, Doug and his crew did it! I'm in a wheelchair and use a shower chair in bathtub because the stand-up shower was too narrow of a space for a wheelchair in our condo. All I wanted was to have a new bathtub faucet replaced so my handheld shower sprayer could be used.

Since we have a Roman bathtub with only one handle for on/off & hot/cold that was a push-on faucet (not threaded like normal), plumbers from ALL AROUND Denver & Boulder were puzzled. Either they didn't call me back or they were trying to push us for an entire re-model of our bathroom.

Why did it take so long for my husband and I to find this crew? We had a leaky outside spigot, a bathroom sink that would just not drain, and a faucet in the kitchen that kept twirling around - and this crew fixed it all. Wow! What a contrast to the big, impersonal outfits (Time, Precision, etc.) that routinely bait with a low price but never actually deliver the services for the advertised price.

Doug is just the kind of person that you want to help you: honest, responsive and reasonably priced. He may not give the lowest initial quote, but he won't jack the price up, either.

Around the Clog took care of a clogged sewer line from my house to the street on a Sunday afternoon. The technician was courteous, efficient, and thorough.

My water heater died a few months after it went off of warranty and it turns out that it's not a very common model here in Colorado. He stopped by right away and discovered the issue and then worked with me for over an hour trying to track down the needed part in Colorado.

Unfortunately it had to be shipped from the East Coast (and I had family arriving the next day). I was able to finally get the part delivered and installed myself but he was very helpful and sympathetic and worked really hard to help me try to resolve it without getting a dime from me.

His reputation is so stellar, when the inspector came and saw how nervous I was, he assured me everything was probably perfect because he knew how good Gerald's work was.

Indeed from rough-in to final all his work was impeccable. Being a DIYer I was eager to do something, so when he returned to install the fixtures he was more than willing to let me assist, and patiently answered all of my questions, explaining every step of what he was doing.

If I was getting on his nerves he never let on. Months later my kitchen sink backed up, and though I had disassembled everything I still couldn't find the cause.

I called Gerald late that morning and he arrived before noon. Of course one thing led to another, as plumbing does, but before the day was out my kitchen AND bathroom sink were better than before.

When I asked him about my clogged laundry sink he assured me it was something I could repair myself. He told me what I would need, and how to do it, adding he would help me over the phone if I had questions, or would come out and fix it for me if I decided to give up.

Pretty cool, huh? I will hire him to update the plumbing in my parents house, and he is more than willing to work out a rather pain-free price estimate. He has great integrity, is extremely skilled, and is very thorough.

I texted Rowan and he promptly responded. I didn't expect him to come back out here on a Saturday as I was able to stop the leaking and it could wait until Monday.

However, Rowan was very concerned that there was a problem and came back out here to resolve the problem. You don't find business ethics like this much anymore, but this gent really cares about his work, reputation, and overall customer satisfaction.

I'm upgrading him to 5 stars folks! Very nice person, very conscientious. Did a very nice job remodeling my master bath in 8 days, compared to another contractor who took more than two months to finish the main bathroom, for far less work.

Tendency to run late but finishes the job. These guys began demo without being licensed, pulling permits, or carrying insurance.

I fired them immediately and recovering funds has been a nightmare. Now I have to go back and do all their work.

How they can begin a project and expose a homeowner to all sorts of repercussions by the state is beyond me. Be alarmed by the cheap bids.

They're cheap because they don't follow the laws. The homeowner is liable for proper asbestos disposal / cleanup, fines, a potential lien on your property, and god forbid someone get hurt on the job.

A quick trip to your city's building division will verify the legitimacy of any contractor. I encourage this due diligence.

My tub was supposedly leaking into my neighbor's garage. At the time it happen Rowan and his' crew was working on a major project.

The work was completed to the best it could considering the subflooring was unable to be completely replaced as originally planned. I am very happy with the service I received and would definitely use this company again.
