Had Jimmy Rooter out a couple years ago to have the drain in my basement laundry room snaked/cleared. He advised us to have the main line cleared out and we simply forgot.

My husband brought it up again in November and I finally got around to calling in March. We are so glad that we did! He said that we had a couple spots along our main line that were not far away from being 100% clogged.

I did not know when I bought the house that under the cabinets they never put tile and was told I had to get the dishwasher out which might mean taking out the tiles in front. I let it go for almost a year since I did not want to dig up the kitchen tile.

My customer came over, jiggled it a bit and out it came without digging up tiles. (ended up nothing wrong with the dishwasher as noted by an appliance repair person today.) Jimmy Rooter got me in quickly for an appointment, came out and explained why the stench was so bad.

The plumbing was never originally put in correctly, the hoses were upside down, things drain and that water just sits and rots along with the food particles. What I did not know is the water sitting stagnant in those hose lines were a smelly disgusting vile sewer pit.

I decided to have all the plumbing redone as well as a new disposal. Very reasonable pricing, great work, I liked that he explained why my kitchen smelled like a sewer.

He could not keep to the pricing as I decided to add more work which also required him to run up to a hardware store to get a part. Fully expected that as anyone would and had no issue with it.

He checked on all the things I had asked about when I made the appointment, things I forgot about. He said this is dripping because it is not on tight enough, this is leaking because they used pipe tape when they should not have and fixed those little issues.

He could have lied and said this will be another $$$ but was honest, something that one rarely runs across now. This company will be my go to now for all my plumbing issues and having him come back for the water heater which he explained why it was leaking, not installed correctly, outdoor faucets, etc.

Heads up, check under your kitchen sink, if your hoses are in a down U bad thing. If your disposal line is on wrong, dirty nasty water can wash back into your dishwasher, mine was done wrong.

Their estimate was so exorbitant that I only approved one small part of the work, which was to replace a showerhead, which I had the part and showed him before getting the estimate. I did quite a bit of research and called probably 8 different companies. I was quoted prices from $85 (Jimmy Rooter) to $189.50 (Colorado Sewer Service) to "we'll let you know when we get there...

and we charge $30 to show up" (Precision Heating and Cooling). Not only did Jimmy Rooter take care of the problem for the cheapest price (which was quoted up front, which I see as a MAJOR bonus), but they also scoped the drain and sent us the video as part of the deal.

So, they clear your drain (ran a 100' motorized, industrial snake with blades several times), and then video scope it so you can SEE where any issues might be, all for WAY cheaper than any of the other guys. And they do it quickly, and courteously, and I just don't have enough good stuff to say about these guys.

Jim took care of the issue with a smile, he laid down rubber backed carpeting to protect the floor, and even cleaned up when he was done with plenty of Lysol and rags. This is a family run operation.

I love dealing with PEOPLE instead of corporate policies, answering services, scheduling madness, etc. These guys are the real deal, and they get it done quickly and affordably.

It took them a couple of days to return my call, and then even though the message on the recording said they were scheduling for next week, when they called me back they couldn't get me in for two weeks. But the biggest reason I'm disappointed is the woman doing the scheduling was super rude to me.

She asked me what the problem was and then as I was describing the problem I had with my shower drain she cut me off to start asking me about my shower valve. There is nothing wrong with my shower valve and I had not mentioned it all, so not sure why she went there.

When I tried to start redirecting the conversation back to the problems I was ACTUALLY having she got all rude with me and told me, well whatever, we can't get out there until the week after next. I'm sure Jimmy is still doing great work, but I'm done with these people after how rude their scheduler was to me.

I have been a customer for years and sent them tons of work from friends and family. But obviously that means nothing to them as they have all the work they want now.

Maybe she was just having a bad day, but that's no excuse to treat people that way.... Wow - what a great experience we had with this small family owned company.

They replaced a kitchen sink, installed two new faucets and made some other repairs on faucets and showers. It was easy to schedule with Marci in the office.

She was extremely responsive, was a clear communicator and kept us posted on the arrival time of the team to our house. The two Jims who came to do the work (father and son) were great.

They were polite, considerate (wore booties when walking on carpet) and took pride in their work. The older Jim tackled a tricky plumbing issue (we went from a two bowl sink to one deeper bowl with garbage disposal) by designing and building his own piping solution.

He also went the extra mile by adding a more accessible clean out plug. There were a number of little things that he did during the installation as well so that the end result is exactly perfect! The younger Jim took care of the other tasks on our list.

As he was working the list, he also went the extra mile by fixing some other little things that we hadn't even noticed needed fixing! He was great about showing us what was causing our problems and then clearly explaining how he would fix each issue. And yippee, the charge for all of the work was very reasonable.

Even though he hurt his back the day before, he still came out to help us during our first emergency. As someone who needed a plumber here TWICE in the last 3 weeks, I recommend Jimmy Rooter.

He was fast and cost effective. $85 for first visit.

And the work was not insignificant, either! 1st time he cleared two tree root segments from the pipes 75 and 80 FEET out from the house and 2nd time was for ....grease buildup (we thought we did everything right but not enough. Although he did cut us slack bc of the age of the home.

He ended up having to come out twice (from Aurora to my house in Westminster), and spent several hours getting it all cleaned out since it was hard to access - but still only charged me $75 and didn't try to sell me on anything else. The day I had scheduled for my repairs I noticed my garbage disposal had just stopped working so I contacted Marci and asked if it was too late to add the disposal replacement. Marci was so kind, she advised me that it could be added on and this price quote she gave for the disposal was reasonable too.

She also said I could possibly find a disposal on sale at our local hardware store or they could provide one, she emailed a link with the one they provide to me so I could see reviews and price, after this experience I completely trust her. The two Jim's arrived and were very professional and polite.

Wow! Incredible service! I called Jimmy Rooter after waiting too long for a sewer cleanout. My sewer drain makes a couple difficult curves and is over 80 feet from the city tap.

When I had the house inspected in 2012, the inspector only had a 50-foot camera, so I couldn't see thick root balls at 75 feet. I hired Drain Genius a couple times; he never bothered to run a camera (that costs extra), nor did he get his snake all the way to the street, but he had no trouble concluding that I needed a new sewer drain ($5-10K).

Jimmy came by the house and ran a camera all the way to the city tap. After rooting my line SIX TIMES, Jimmy was able to clear the line all the way to the city tap.

He initially thought that the blockage at 75 ft wasn't solvable, but with persistence, he was able to clear the entire line all the way to the street and keep me from (hopefully) having to replace my line for 10 years or more. He stayed until 9 pm on a Friday night, saying he "just didn't feel good about leaving us with that blockage." His charge was very reasonable, given his huge effort.

I'm eternally grateful. Don't ever use anyone else.

Highly recommended! I utilized this company a year ago with relatively minimal issues (they took about 5-6 days to return my call and text), once we connected. So, of course, I thought there wouldn't be any issues bringing them in again this year.

Wrong. I called the company on October 4th, 2023 and received a voice mail indicating they preferred a text rather than a VM.....I then texted them (including my address, and of course, phone).

I heard absolutely nothing (no return text, no phone call) until I pinged then again on October 14th. The text message said (paraphrasing) they had someone new on phones and things have been dropped.

Ugh, hmm, you run a business (presumably for several years) and I complied with your communication request. Yet you tell me that you hired someone who can't figure out how to calendar a return call (much less an appointment).

Sounds like a really bad job of screening if you can't find an employee to understand how the phone and texts work (as an aside, pretty much any 14 year old kid could handle those "responsibilities" without much thought). And it gets better, in their return text to me on the 14th, they didn't even mention the possibility of, you know, doing the sprinkler blowout I requested.

The excuse was, "we have been fully booked for a few weeks now". So let's review, I am/was an existing customer, they completely ignored my request for 10 days until I reached out again, then told me they made a crap hire of someone who couldn't figure out how the phones/texting worked, and did not even mention the possibility of scheduling me on their calendar when they finally responded.

I again texted saying that having too much business is a problem most businesses would like, and have handled successfully, by oh say, hiring additional people before the Fall season. There, problem fixed.

The denouement from the company was in effect, "we don't care, we've got our business, so go slag-off". Whomever runs this business should try attending some business classes at a community college, because treating customers like crap tends to back fire over time.

I was comparing the price with other contractors and Ben sent an estimate quickly after checking a couple of photos I sent. I saved a lot on the replacement compared to other contractors.

No hidden fee for trip or labors. They sent me an email with the estimate showing parts and work that they need to do.

The technician, Gage called before he arrived and professionally answered many questions we had and explained how we can prevent the issue for the next winter season. They also installed unions that allow us to take the PVB apart before winter comes along so that we can prevent PVB freezing again.

The homeowner's worst nightmare got fixed in the best way. (Satisfied with cost, service, time scheduling, communication, professional work etc.) I highly recommend them! I can not say enough about Gage and Backflow Testers! He was very responsive to the issue with our very old sprinkler pressure valve.

It's had been leaking for who know how long (it had been covered for winter) and we knew we wouldn't be able to fix it ourselves. He came out the next day to replace the valve and walked us thru some of the issues we were having with our older system.
