Tim and Oscar are both friendly and they know what they're doing. The previous homeowners didn't install a trap on the washing machine so my laundry room smelled like a sewer sometimes.

Tim and Oscar explained my several repair options, and how much wall damage would result, etc. They only needed to cut out a small square of drywall to install the trap, then reattached the piece of drywall.

All I needed to do to finish was tape and paint. The trap took care of the smell and I'm happy.

I wouldn't call anyone else but Just Plumbing for a repair. Tim and Oscar work fast, are polite, and quiet; none of the hollering that some crews do.

Plus when you call you get to speak to Kelly, she cracks me up, she's funny and nice. We had a hot water pipe break in the concrete slab of our kitchen; leaking into my garage.

Tim and crew at Just Plumbing did a fantastic job. They were honest.

Treated us kindly and fairly. Went over all of the issues with us, discussed the pros and cons of each solution.

The other company (1.4 stars on yelp) was rude, didn't give us any options and wanted to charge triple the price as well as take twice as long to complete the job. Doesn't surprise me that Just Plumbing has 4.5 stars and the other company (that shall not be named) only has 1.4 stars.

Hmm...wonder why? I had a lot of issues with my new houses plumbing and was referred to Just plumbing by a friend. The prices were fair and the plumber Tim was very nice and did a wonderful job fixing everything quickly and neatly.

I would highly recommend them to anyone. I would not recommend Tim.

He installed a part for me and the shower still never worked correctly. Afterwards, He never returned my calls or texts to return to my place to repair it correctly.

Eventually I had another plumber come out to see what the issue was and unfortunately Tim had over tightened the locking nut which caused the cartridge to break. This part which I have to re-purchase again is $100.

Also, he was not careful with my shower floor and dropped his tools and chipped my tile and a piece of grout came out. It's so irritating when people are not careful and they don't take responsibility.

Tim is our plumber of first choice. He is honest and does great work.

We have no trouble referring him out to other people and use Just Plumbing for all of our rental properties. He is honest and when he is caught up in a big job he is forthright and communicates that his time of arrival is an estimate.

As our go to plumber we appreciate this. He is our plumber.

One drawback, Just Plumbing is a small company so 24 hours 7 day a week service is not always available. For that we have another plumber from one of the majors as backup.

But we ALWAYS call Tim first. We like dealing with him and so do our tenants! Guys are HACK'S.

Don't schedule an appointment with me for an early morning time slot then 1) Blow it off. 2) Never even apologize for wasting my time.

3) Never get back to me with parts quote. I'd rather slam my hand in a car door than get my shower fixed by these "plumbers".

We purchased a new house in August and have used Just Plumbing quite a few times. Ernie (the owner) and his assistant are informative, professional, efficient and courtesy.

Not only was it a great price, but Ernie gave tips on other plumbing issues while he was at my house and I could definitely tell he has a lot of experience. He replaced some of the piping underneath our sink because the pipe below our disposal was leaking.

He fixed it all, explained in detail about how the grade of the pipe was incorrect and how it looked like someone had done a DIY project incorrectly. While he was under the house fixing something else, he said he heard the toilet running a lot, took a look and replaced an inexpensive piece "free of charge." I truly can't say enough about them.

Fair prices, totally informative, honest and wonderful to do business with. Tim has done jobs for us in North Park almost from the time we bought the house in 2006.

The other places I called quoted me over the phone as well but were $300+ higher (2 other plumbing services) Tim & Oscar came out (on time) drilled through the front of the shower installed new faucet hardware (from double to single), put in the new shower arm/head and were done with the whole project in under an hour.

No mess, they cleaned everything up and it was good as new and after almost 3 weeks everything is still working great. They were so fast, we asked them to fix our pipes under our kitchen sink too.

They fixed it in less than a half hour and for a very reasonable price. Then, we had to call them again last week as the pressure in our kitchen sink was very low.

It had nothing to do with what they did last time they were here. It turned out to be some broken pieces of plastic from when my husband installed the new sink.

I had a major issue with the old cast iron sewage pipes at my house. My bathtub drain was completely plugged up, and a snake could not clear it.

First I had a couple of the big guys (Mr. Rooter, etc.) come out and they did a camera inspection.

I had leaks and roots inside the sewage pipes. They suggested replacing the pipes with ABS pipes using "pipe-bursting".

The pipes will be replaced, but they will still be located under the house and under the concrete slab. They wanted a lot of money to do that.

The other "big company" suggested relining the pipes, but then I found out they can only reline 3 inch pipes, not 2 inch pipes which is half of my pipes. Also with lined pipes, you can not use a snake to clear clogs anymore.

The snake will actually damage the liner. I then called Just Plumbing and they rerouted the sewage pipes underground on the outside of the house using ABS pipes.

They did a great job at a fraction of the price of the "big guys". The best thing about rerouting the plumbing outside is that now I have easy access to the pipes in case there is another issue with my sewage pipes in the future.

I will always use JUST PLUMBING from now on. Great service at a fair price.

Oh yes, one of the "Big Guys" called me back and asked if I have decided to do the job. I told her I decided to use a smaller company that will do it at 1/3 of your cost.

She said: "Oh yes, we run into that a lot. That's because we are a large company and we have a lot of over head." At lease she was honest.

I called Just Plumbing last Tuesday and asked if they could come to my condo to provide an estimate to fix my leaking shower. The receptionist was nice and said that Tim (I think that was the name) could come out and provide an estimate and scheduled a window of 9am-11am last Thursday.

I stayed home from work that morning to meet with the plumber and discuss the issue and estimate. At 10:30 I had not heard from them, so I called and left a message because I wanted to make sure the plumber was not having any issues getting into my building.

I received a call back immediately. The gentleman sounded confused and said he was just returning my call.

I told him I called because I wanted to make sure that he knew how to get into my building for my appt this morning. He asked (again sounding very confused) what the issue I was having entailed.

I told him my shower is leaking and I need an estimate to fix it. He tells me he cannot come out to my condo just to provide an estimate - that is a waste of his time.

I tell him that's very interesting because I called and made this appointment window, which has now lapsed, for that very reason and have now been home from work for 2 hours awaiting his arrival. Apparently it's okay to waste my time? I told him I specifically asked the receptionist for an estimate appointment.

He told me "she's not a plumber" and can't really give me that info. Your receptionist can't schedule appointments? Then why did she? She surely didn't give me any other info outside of a time slot which apparently vanished into thin air after we got off of the phone.

Anyways, I understand miscommunications happen, but any point during this call some sort of apology for the confusion would have been nice. So, we chat on and he says that he charges $85 an hour and it will probably only take an hour to fix it so he can just come and fix it.

I tell him that's fine, but I still need to identify what parts are needed so that we can estimate those for my landlord and that we may be able to order them under the manufacturer's warranty. He says I probably just need a new shower valve so if I send me photos of the shower he can try to see what parts I need and how much they will cost.

I immediately text him images, per his request, but do not get any confirmation back that he's received. I follow up with another text to confirm receipt and he says that he is trying to get a price on parts "right now".

I tell him I have some additional bath specs from my building manager that might be helpful and that I can email those to him. He sends me his email address and asks "is it kohler".

I tell him, no, but that I have emailed him the specs, including the manufacturer. I have not heard anything back since.

So, thanks "Just Plumbing", for wasting my time and scarring my faith in customer service. JUST PLUMBING--Good Plumbing at a Fair Price I just had the pressure regulator value go out.

I called Bill Howe Plumbing because I had used them twice before with excellent service. They gave me an estimate of between $300 and $400, and normally I would have gone with that, but because of some other expenses money is a little tight.

So I got on the computer and looked at other plumbers in the area. Just Plumbing caught my eye because it has a couple favorable recommendations, is local, and is operated by self-employed plumber.

So about 2 p.m. I gave them a call.

I told the receptionist that I needed to have my pressure regulator value replaced, and she said she would call Ernie, the owner, and he'd get back to me. Fifteen minutes later I received a call from Ernie and explained my problem.

He said he could replace the value for $250 and that he could replace it today if I liked. I thought the price was reasonable and said that would be great.

He arrived an hour later, examined the valve and said that if I liked he could probably replace a part in the valve which would cost less. I appreciated that he made that offer but since the valve was old (the part that started leaking had begun to crack from age).

I told him I would feel better if a new valve was installed. He and his assistant then installed the new valve, one that he said had fittings so that if it needed to be replaced in ten years I could do the job myself because no cutting of pipe or soldering would be required.

He also installed a new faucet at no extra charge. The work was completed in less than an hour and is guaranteed for a year.

Ernie and his assistant were friendly, the work was completed in an impressive, economical and timely fashion, and no mess was left behind. Good, courteous work at a fair price--I don't know what more you could ask for.

My landlord hired Just Plumbing to come to the house and repair a toilet. Tom came out and discovered that there was a crack in the tank.

He stated that a new toilet was needed and my landlord gave him the okay. An appointment was made for replacement and I was told Tom would be at the house at 9:00 am 2 days later.

Tom knocked on my door at 9:30. He came without my phone number or name and picked a random neighbor's bell to gain entry to the building.

I let him in and he started working. When he took the new toilet out of the box I saw it was not an ADA compliant toilet which the old toilet was.

I told him that I did but my landlord was paying the bill so he would need to speak with him. He told me there was just a 1 inch difference between the toilet he was hired to install and the one he brought with him.

That is not true; it is 2 inches. Long story short, he installed the unit he brought and left.

He may be the best plumber in San Diego but he proved that on Thursday May 3rd he was terribly unorganized and had an issue with the truth. I have been a customer of Just Plumbing since 2004.
