Review and analyze now for company Pinnacle Plumbing Service and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''They were able to squeeze us into their schedule. Great service and very fast to fix our issues.
I came back from a 2 yr deployment and purchased my home and have Old Republic home warranty. I seen we are having rust issues with the water heater.
So Old Republic had these guys come out and evaluate my 15 plus yrs water heater that has rust flowing through out my home. The plumber shows up to my home and wife shows him pictures of the rust in our children tub.
He says oh ya we need to report this. And leaves after 4 mins of being there.
Old republic calls my wife to tell her that they reported nothing is wrong with our water heater.?????? Negative there is something definitely wrong with the water heater. Need negative 5 stars needed for this company and oh ya my home is all pex piping and copper.
Rookies! Rude and unprofessional. Showed up 6 hours late.
The owner was the rudest, most uncouth, obnoxious man we have ever met. Within 5 minutes of meeting him we decided that it was worth waiting another week for hot water rather then deal with this him.
Honestly don't waste your time or money. First, I would like to say that the lady that answers the phone at the office, is very professional and courteous.
My warranty company had given me 3 companies to call, and she was the most professional. After that ,WOW is all I can say....
I don't know if Cleeve the plumber owns the company, or if he is just an employee.... But this guy is certified NUTS!!!! I do not want to bore everyone with the details, but trust me, this guy has major issues.
As the landlord, I wanted to get the water heater fixed ASAP for my tenant. We had a window from 2-5pm, and he showed up at 715pm.
Even though I had payment options already figured out with office, this Cleeve guy went off on a rant to my tenant that I am going to rip him off, and knows people like me.... He started to bad mouth me continously, even though the clown has never met me! He then couldn't fix it that late, then ordered the wrong part, and during that time continously bashed me to the tenant.
So much more to how nuts this guy was, and how little work he did for charging me $200 of labor. Stay away from this company, and be weary having Cleeve enter your house.
This guy is a rip off!!!! don't trust him one bit! He will quote you one thing and turn out and say $600 and his voice and attitude is not worth a penny! Save time and money and do not call him! Had an appointment of 1pm-4pm and nobody showed up. They were supposed to call 1/2 an hour prior to arriving but nobody ever called.
Dispatch claims the service person called and left a message which I never received either a missed call or any message. My phone is always with me 24/7 365.
Wife took the day off just to make sure someone was home and I also got off early to be there. This is the worst company to deal with.
Their customer service sucks. I had an appointment today and the worker "Cleve" didn't show up on time.
When he called me his exacts words were "wait what is this for again? What am I doing today? What job is this?." He had no idea. After I told him the issue, he told me he'd show up at 2:45.
I asked him to give me a heads up when he was coming. He said "no because he will be there at 2:45." I changed my plans and waited.
It is now 3:30 and he didn't show. When I called him, he was rude and said at his point he doesn't really want to show up and he made a story that he had said he was to show up at 3:30.
I called the company directly 3 times and no one picks up the phone. Tl;dr: Cleve didn't do a great job and, more importantly, he lied when he said he'd send photos to the home warranty company to ask if they'd authorize him to fix it.
Cleve was sent by my home warranty company. Neither he nor his secretary are good listeners, which definitely made this process more frustrating (there are a few other pieces of story not summarized here, it's long already).
The main issue, though, was that Cleve was supposed to replace the handle on the toilet (to flush). When he installed it I asked if he could make it horizontal instead if up on a 45 degree angle.
He said it's designed to be that way. He flushed a few times and jiggled the water level and left.
When I tried it myself, I realized the handle was knocking against the toilet tank lid when it flushed. For this and other reasons, Cleve came back.
He said the handle he had used (which was quite industrial looking) was "industry standard" and that whether it was good was a "matter of opinion." He finally agreed to take photos of the two handles (the new one and old one on another toilet) to ask the warranty company if they'd authorize him to "special order" a plastic handle like I had before. A few days pass and I get autogenerated emails from the warranty company.
I think it's in response to his photos. When I finally speak to the secretary, she has no idea whether Cleve sent the photos to the warranty company, telling me to just call them myself.
After I push she says she'll leave a note to ask him. The home warranty company told me that after the second visit, Cleve marked the job as complete; they received no pictures (the emails were about something else).
They sent another plumber out who installed a new, non-industrial looking, horizontal handle. Cleve never did call to tell me he submitted those photos to the warranty company, so I can only assume they were right when they said he marked it as closed...and that Cleve lied to me.
(I will say that he never used foul language around me and was polite, contrary to some reviews.) NEVER HIRE THIS GUY!!!!!! If your insurance company sends this guy out, then turn him away and request another service provider. Issue #1 - He Was Late!!!! Issue #2 - Rude as Can Be!!!! In short this guy is the Epitome of BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Super Disrespectful and I Truly believe thinks Woman are beneath him...
Don't Be Fooled by the "Family Picture" you see on his website as this guy is anything BUT Family Friendly! I work in the Construction industry and will make sure the word gets out about this Terrible Company! The worst people/business EVER!!! I cannot say anything good about them. Kevin? came out and Jack hammered a HUGE hole in our bathroom floor to find the location of a slab leak.
He never did find the leak, when we asked him to at least cover the hole, he refused and said it was our problem. Seriously??? This guy is on drugs or something-he was so incredibly rude and he actually screamed at me.
When we asked him if he was the owner, he said "yep theres no one you can complain to". He made a gigantic mess in our driveway as he left, he dumped his entire wheelbarrow of concrete.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Beware!!! Has an extremely foul mouth and uttered so many expletives around my small children I was disgusted.
I have no idea who gave this guy a business license but he should be put OUT of business. HORRIFIC!!!! The rudest human I've ever encountered!! I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews and the display image surprised me.
All I can speak on is my experience with them which was a good one. They actually came to my house today to replace the plumbing under my sink because the pipe corroded.
I had mistakenly booked an appointment during the hours the tech would be at my house and I feel like they bent over backwards to work around my schedule even though I made an error. The tech seemed to know what he was doing and he was friendly.
It seems like a lot of people Old Republic sends out lack people skills so it was a nice change. Rose was really nice, too.
She seemed to be in good contact with the tech because she'd call him and get right back to me. They were easy to get a hold of, the job was satisfactory, they treated me well and did it all in a timely manner.
All in all it was a good transaction. I can't think of any complaints.
Terrible business practices guy came out to fix my stoppage because I wasn't home and he proceeded to get mouthy with my wife which I don't appreciate he's lucky I wasn't home but to make a long story short he never fix my stoppage so when I got home I had to get my snake out of the shed and fix it myself this guy is a rip off artist watch out for him I had called my home warranty company regarding a major plumbing leak from our tub & shower enclosure. They sent out Pinnacle Plumbing who was there for only a short time.
The plumber rushed out and did not explain anything to me. Less than one week latter I called again.
Was promised that they would return on Saturday. Received a call back saying "no can do." We would have to wait until Sunday for them to return.
On Sunday they came out, checked the bath tub and then called the warranty company. They did not communicate to me but rather the warranty company.
When I called them to see what happened they stated: "well you are not our customer." Needless to say my family and I can not take a shower until this is repaired. Pinnacle Plumbing has bad customer service and terrible follow-through.
If you are a lady you might as well forget it. (I am) If you need plumbing services do not contact them.
Bad service, tells homeowners one thing and the home warranty the opposite. Would not recommend this company.
This company was sent via my home warranty (Old Republic). The lady I spoke with to set up the appointment was nice and got me an appointment the next morning.
I currently have a hot water pipe leak, so I've had my hot water shut off. The plumber (I didn't catch his name) who responded was rude and unprofessional.
He did show up on time, I told him my issue and he asked well my crawl space was. I led him to it and he scoffed/cursed, threw his wrench and whatever other tool he had down onto my cement and said well let's hope I can fit.
I was taken aback for a moment but am used to dealing with assholes in my line of work so I just said okay. So he crawls under my house, is under there for a minute or two, comes back out.
Tells me it's a slab leak this and that blah blah blah. My house is old and set up weird, where the leak is supposedly located is under a concrete slab in my add-on laundry room area.
So then he tells me my option is to start off he could do an "official" leak test which would cost around $250 and be messy in tearing up the concrete, but it would be better to just fully replace the piping (both hot & cold) and it would be around $3500-$4500, since he "knows where the leak is". He then tells me home warranties usually only cover $1000.
So then he says he'll have to take it back to the home warranty and then get an official price and I should hear back in a few hours. It's been almost a week and I never heard back from this company.
I've called Old Republic twice now trying to get this sorted out. I STILL don't have hot water.
Keep in mind it's winter so it sucks even more. My boyfriend crawled under my house the next day and there's no way to see where exactly the leak is coming from (especially with the plumber spending only a couple minutes down there) due to the inaccessible layout of it without using a scope or whatever equipment plumbers use to assess that stuff, which this plumber did not.
So the plumber lied about knowing where the leak was. I know he didn't want to do the repair because of his scoffing and negative attitude regarding it all.
My last call to the home warranty they said they would contact this company again to get a follow up bid. I told them I don't want this company doing my repair.
Definitely do not recommend. I had a serious leakage problem and Pinnacle came to the rescue.
The office staff is super professional and kept me up to date on when the tech would arrive. Met Cleve at the residence and he did a thorough inspection and we discovered I didn't have a water leak but yet it was actually a drainage issue.
Grabbed his tools and fixed it right up. I have now found my new plumber for my properties.
My appointment was from 11 am - 2 pm. He came at 12 and replaced the garbage disposal within 10 mins.
Made it quick and easy. Now I have to do the dishes.
He did a great job. The worst customer service.
Pinnacle Plumbing was sent out by the home warranty company. I called Pinnacle plumbing office numerous times and left voice messages.
Eventually I spoke with Rose (office clerk) who was rude. I asked Rose why was I not receiving return phone calls? she said she was busy.
Too busy to answer their phone and return customer calls? After my conversation with Rose I receive a call from the owner who demanded payment in full before he would schedule the job. I made payment in full via credit card over the phone for the amount he quoted me.
When I receive my credit card statement I was over charged $15.25 without my authorization. I called Pinnacle Plumbing and of course my call went to voice message, therefore I called the warranty company and when they spoke with Rose who said the $15.25 was a surcharge for paying with a credit card.
Rose also told the warranty company she had informed me of the surcharge. First of all Rose NEVER took my credit card information, she lied to the warranty company.
The owner took my credit card information and he NEVER informed me their would be a surcharge. The warranty company asked the owner of Pinnacle Plumbing to credit the surcharge and he refused.
BE AWARE! They are unprofessional, rude and not truthful. Used my home insurance, they sent out someone from Pinnacle.
He was very dissmisve towards my wife, rude, and extremely unhelpful. The plumber tore apart a bedroom closet to gain access to the underside if the house, leaving all of it's contents strewn across the floor.
The "service" he provided was to give a 5 minute look around and then proclaim he couldn't fix anything unless we pony up more money, outside of our insurance, to fix the problem. Then left without even trying anything else because " It might be messy".
At this point I can deal with a little mess if we have working sinks, toilets and showers. I've been using Pinnacle plumbing for about 5 years now, maybe even longer.
They've always done a good job. We have a reoccuring sludge build up problem in our kitchen sink and he was able to snake it out in about a minute today.
If I could give a FAT ZERO I would. I waited patiently for my appointment I had a leak from upstairs to downstairs.
When day of appointment finally came the lady in office called said plumber is covered in poop and needs to clean up can she reschedule? I said "sure" I felt bad for him until she said okay next Thursday ( mind you it's Monday). I wasn't very happy I got tricked from being kind! I told her it's unacceptable I would like it atleast within a few days? Bottom line she was so so rude they missed second appointment! She kept hanging up on me!!! After months of him finally coming back n forth only to stay for 5 minutes if that each time ..then blame home warranty company! My son had a broken leg couldn't use his bath or shower for MONTHS! OH and that rude lady and plumber are husband and wife so it fell on deaf ears!!! Last straw was he came out and supposedly fixed it never checked downstairs to confirm it was fixed! It was WORSE! Warranty company sent out new plumber and they fixed issue also were kind & prompt...
He showed me that this pinnacle JOKE of a company twisted and broke a vital piece (which I still have) and will post a picture! BEWARE!!! I warned you. Worst company ever!!! Negative stars if I could.
Okay this happen in 2013 and my plumber was Cleve. So I had just brought a house and was having issues with my the plumbing in the front yard backing up sewage.
I called them because there were part of my homeowners insurance. I used them twice because we kept having to snake it.
He was nice then. After the 3nd time in 2 months, we just wanted the problem fixed and homeowners insurance did not cover the plumbing issue apparently.
The plumber said that he already knows what the problem was when he snaked it. He stated that he would camera it, dig up the dirt and put a cleaning valve ny the sidewalk all for $800.
We had a verbal agreement (never do that again) and work was started. First they dig in the whole spot like a 4 ft hole for almost half a day ( it ruined my grass).
Then they found out that it was under my cement steps and had to hammer jack it so of course the price went up $1200 total for everything. After digging a 6 ft whole, and exposing the pipes, he said that it was the angle of the pipes that causing it to back up and the price increase again to $1800 because he would have to dig like another 4 feet across my lawn so he could angle the pipe .
I started having doubts because this house was builded in 1989 and my neighbors don't seem to have this problem. And I asked him, is that what was seen in the camera? He said that this is the problem, we didn't even need the camera.
That he would come back tomorrow to finish up. I'm thinking in my mind I need another opinion.
So when he left, I called two other plumbers, and they both agree that it wasn't the problem. So, the next day I told him that I didn't want his service anymore, just to stop the work and that I would pay for the dig.
OMG he was so mad and piss and actually cussing and yelling at me. He is like 6'2 and I'm a foot smaller that him.
I just told him to go and sent me the bill for the dig. Well the bill I got was $1450??!!! I told them to send me an itemized bill.
He was charing me stupid fees like pipe location fee , return item fee, and journeyman plumber HOURLY fee, ect. I sent a letter, saying we had a verbal agreement for a set fee, and I'm not going to pay for this outrageous bill.
He said that if I don't pay it, he will put a lean on my house. On the side note, I hired someone else and was right, the problem was not anyway near the sidewalk ( 18 ft away) , it was only 5 foot away from where the sewage keeps coming up, the pipe had broken due to old roots from a tree that had been removed a long time ago, all you had to do was dig a 2 ft hole and fixed it.
So we never had to dig!!! He messed up my grass during the wrong dig and then missed up my cement steps to the house. I damaged my property unnecessary.
He should be owing me. Wrong diagnose of the problem.
I had to call to the state broad and complaint against his license. It was back and forth for about a month, and I was just done, I just wanted the whole bill to drop.
We were going to civic court, but right before that, he knock on my door all nice suddenly, saying he wanted to drop it. I guess that the state must have really talked to him or threaten his license.
So we sign an agreement and it was dropped. (All his letters back were horrible and I forward everything to the state, even the new plumbers assessment and letter stating that it was never the problem).
Don't ever get go to this place. Cleave came to my house from a referral from Old Republic Home Protection and it was after hours around 7pm .
He brought his kid w him who was crying because he hurt himself prior to coming to my house. He was on the phone w his wife as well.
He stated to me right away that he has been w the company long enough to know that it was not a covered benefit and that the charge was going to be $375 I asked him if that included the $75 for service fee and he said yes! He was already animated because his son kept interrupting him that he wanted to go home. He should have never brought his kid to my house which was already unprofessional!! I received a bill for $75 from Old Republic which I had disputed w them.
After calling Pinnacle several times "cleave" finally got back to me telling me that he in fact recalled the convo we had and the fact that his child was there that day but denied the $75 convo. I told him that he knows what he told me and its funny that he can recall everything else but the $75 and his response was "oh well its my word against yours" and hung up!!! Do not go to this company they are dishonest people and do not take responsibilities for their own actions!!! I was stuck having to pay $75 2x because of is denial .
Worst company ever!!!!! I filed a complaint w the BBB also these people need to be exposed!!! This guy is a scam artist!!! Apparently I am not the only victim here! Read all the true stories from others!~!~ Good service very knowledgeable. Great prices would recommend and use services again.
Had an issue with a leak in the kitchen/garbage disposal. Diagnosed the problem fixed it and we are happy customers! Customer service was great too! Ok here is what happened, I have Old Republic Home Warranty and they gave my call to this company.
Pennacle Plumbing guy seemed really nice, knew what he was doing, he ordered my disposal, in which I got a cheaper brand, but oh well. However, when I ask him if he wanted check, credit card or cash, he said cash is good and at the time he didn't give me a receipt and would send me one.
Never got it. Now got tons of no pay notices from Old Republic , even suspension letters.
I called his office, spoke to Rose, called late at night spoke to Rose and was told it would be awhile. I got service in March now July.
So how hard is it to post paid or let Old Republic know its paid I don't care if he doesn't claim on taxes or pockets the payment since he said he was the owner and self employed, but be honest and don't screw the customer. Needless to say after 4 months of working on this, he slightly remembers this but has to check accounting, now if he didn't tell them in which he's the boss, then I have to pay.
I am so mad over this. So do not trust anyone if they say they will send invoice, get it then and there if its on a match cover!!!.
I hope to spread the word on this company even will tell the IRS, Better Business Bureau and report to Old Republic, because if he didn't say paid then he pocketed it. Most people anymore hate writing checks and don't give out their credit card info, old woman such as myself gives cash.
So cash works, but get a receipt. He said he didn't have anything to write me one and had to be at another call.
HUM I really hate writing these but beware of anyone that you give cash to and when you go through another company for service. GET A RECEIPT, HAVE PAPER AND PEN READY AT ALL TIMES.
I refuse to pay the 75.00 again. So we will see what happens.
If I was Janey another complaint I would file complaint with IRS, they will investigate all calls for service to this company and you never know where this will lead. Hopefully he tells OLD Republic that people pay.
Our home warrenty company sent them out to replace our water heater. The plumber came out on a monday to look at what kind of water heater it was, 2 days later he came with a new water heater as he was about to take it out he says "oh no it's not the right one" for someone who says they have been doing this for 17 years should have know what kind of water heater to order.
he said he would have to order a new one and it would take 3 days it's now a week later and we're still out of HOT water.......will never use this company again!!!! They were called to come out and do plumbing repair through my no good home warranty. Our water was off due to a leak, we went up to the gas station to use the restroom and received a call from the office lady saying the plumber is at our house.
I informed her we would be right there and she asked me to hold. I held and once she returned she said the plumber left.
Why would he leave and how were we going to use the bathroom with the water off waiting on the plumber. Why call after the fact and then want to reschedule.
I told her NO THANKS. Lousy customer service.
Our house is 70 years old. Pinnacle Plumbing has helped us a great deal as our pipes have corroded, etc.
We have had quick, efficient service for a reasonable cost. Excellent service! The technician came out to my house on a Saturday evening and fix my blown sprinkler system.
Some how the sprinkler line was tied into the main for the house and would not shut off without shutting off the entire supply from the alley. I had just piled up a ton of tree trimmings in the alley and I didn't know where the main shut off was.
Without hesitation he started moving all of the trimmings from one side of the alley to the other. After that was done he started to probe to find the shut off.
After a decent amount of time we finally found it and he was able to take care of the problem. Had a very good sense of humor and a real people person.
Also have to add the he made it to my house about 15 minutes after I called! This was a great experience would definitely recommend Pinnacle Plumbing! Cleve from Pinnacle Plumbing came to my home to inspect my water heater because I have a home warranty and they were contracted and assigned to my claim. When Cleve arrived at my home he inspected the water heater and said it needed to have the pilot light turned back on and then we would wait for fifteen minutes or so and see how the water heats up.
Cleve informed me that since the water heater is still struggling to heat up after 28 minutes he recommends it be replaced and that he would like to collect my deductible and then he will call my warranty company and be right back. I asked Cleve what if other parts are needed wouldn't there be an additional cost he informed me that he would let me know but for now just the deductible is needed.
He used my restroom while he was here then he took my deductible and said I will be right back. I was waiting and waiting and then I get a call from my warranty company that Cleve from Pinnacle Plumbing advised that the water heater was in good working order and that he just needed to turn on the pilot light.
This man and company are completely dishonest and took my money and lied to me. I informed the warranty company what Cleve explained to me and they were disturbed by this.
I called and emailed Pinnacle Plumbing after Cleve left and never received a response, even my realtor contacted them with no response. My warranty sent another contractor who suggested it be replaced right away and they installed a new water heater because of its inefficiency to heat water and calcium build up.
My water heater was replaced by Premium Plumbing who did an outstanding job. I am writing this because I don't want any other customers to get this service from Pinnacle Plumbing.
This person and service are very dishonest and fail to respond to their customers and I am still upset that they took my Sixty dollars and cashed my check but never addresses my concerns. I will make sure that word of mouth goes along way with this type of business.
I was very surprised to read the negative reviews on Pinnacle Plumbing as my experience has been extraordinarily positive. I own a house in Modesto but live out of town.
I was referred to Pinnacle by my realtor. Rose, who coordinates the work, has been amazing.
She has gone out of her way to work with me long distance to get the work we need done. There is extensive work that is required and they are keeping me informed throughout.
Today, Cleve, who is doing the work, sent ne pictures to show what has been done, including installation of new water heater. He also gave me a call to explain what he did and what still needs to be done so there are no surprises for us.
They are making this long distance challenge as easy for me as possible. And, I am finding their fees very reasonable.
I'm finding the entire experience to be a positive one and I would definitely recommend Pinnacle Plumbing without hesitation. Pinnacle Plumbing was called out to my property to snake the drain line.
When they arrived, they had told my roommate that they were not able to snake the line, and they needed to install a new clean out. This would cost over $250 in addition to the cost to patch and repair the drywall.
I did not move forward with the work and called a different plumbing company. The 2nd company came to my house, located a clean out at the sink upstream of the drain line, and successfully snaked the line in 5 minutes.
Either Pinnacle's plumbers are incompetent or they are just searching for ways to make more money. Either way, I would avoid using them at all costs.
If I could give this place no stars, I would. PG&E came out to my rental and told my tenants that the water heater needed to be serviced or it would explode so he turned it off and filled up the tank enough to where they could shower with hot water until a plumbing company could come out to clean out the water heater.
Pinnacle plumbing came out and looked at the water heater for 5 minutes and said nothing is wrong with it. Their technician asked my tenants what noise it was making to warrant the PG&E tech to say it could explode if we didn't get it serviced.
My tenants demonstrated the noise and the Pinnacle technician stated "that's dramatic." Basically my water heater wasn't even serviced or cleaned. I called the secretary at Pinnacle and requested that they come back out since they didn't even do anything the first time because the water heater started making the same loud boom noises it was making before.
She called my tenant to coordinate a time and stated they couldn't come back out until the following week. My tenant wasn't please considering she has 3 little kids who need hot baths.
The secretary called me back stating that my tenant was hostile and that she didn't blame the technician for just leaving. They never did call me back or come back out to service the water heater but they certainly sent me an $89 bill for the services that they didn't provide.
I had to have another company come out to service it and it is working great. Thanks for nothing Pinnacle.'''.
