The services described were provided by Sergey @ Mario ProServices. Honestly for all the knowledge he provided for coming to a free estimate, he was great and prompt in coming out to us.
I will be going to him in the future. A bigger company tried to get us to do a job that was not necessary at the moment and really tried to pressure us into it.
I got a message from Sergey and he immediately was able to get us in. And the pricing he did give us especially for cleaning out a line are much more reasonable than what I paid the bigger company for similar issues of a clog.
We didn't need to schedule any plumbling at the moment but will definitely continue using his services for any future issues! I want to pass on my experience with this contractor so that others can make informed decisions based on past experiences. This is really the only way that consumers can protect themselves from potential scams and problems.
- i want people to know that contractors in general who do not want to provide a clear breakdown of "parts and labor" and rather just give you a price out of "thin air" are likely trying to overcharge. That's the creed of many contractor's in a busy area like Denver so be careful.
You may feel embarrassed to ask, or you may feel like you want to cooperate with the vague talk hoping it will work out, but you will be making a mistake. - I did some reviews and noticed this business had some good customer reports.
So, I called to have a laundry sink installed, and the rough plumbing for it. Sergey arrived within a few hours, he was cordially nice.
I asked him for an estimate and he provided it verbally. I was hoping for a written estimate with the details.
He said $1350 to do the plumbing and install. I asked if he could provide estimate to do just the plumbing to the wall, roughed-in, so I can install the sink myself.
He said that would cost $885. Later he texted he could do $845 as a coupon discount.
I asked him to send me a written estimate which did not happen until I texted and asked for it again. However, the estimate was not detailed, just a few words like "install rough in plumbing for sink" and the price.
There were no parts or hours in his estimate. Then Sergey texted me to say it may be more, but he'd let me know when they came to do the work.
- Unfortunately, we had to return the sink for a defect and could not get the work done that week. I was upfront with him on the scheduling.
I let Sergey know and he was like "no worries" just call when we are ready. He never informed me the price would change because of a delay.
When time came and I asked to get the written estimate for rough-in plumbing he was asking for $1665. this is nearly double what he verbally quoted.
When asked to explain this he replied via email that the increase was due to the delay of a month and now the market rate for the work had gone up... or his other answer which was he had only given a great deal before.
- The issues we saw are honesty in estimating and specifically not wanting to provide a written cost breakdown of parts and labor, general vagueness about what would be the final cost, and then a drastic doubling of the initial estimate when it came time to schedule. These are all red flags.

The estimate was reasonable. A pipe had frozen under my deck over the winter.
I had an estimate that would involve taking up part of the deck with no guarantee that the deck could go back together again. Another company wanted to bypass the deck and install a new faucet at a different location.
Sergey offered to repair pipe under deck by removing two wooden stair steps to the deck rather than taking the deck apart. He made the repair and then put the two stair steps back in place.
He showed me the pipe he replaced with the broken joint attached. He also pointed out that a frost-free bib attached to the pipe terminus was ineffectual at that location.
In other words, it was a needless expenditure. Also, there was a gas (not water) connector from pipe to bib! I contacted the company for a refund for the inappropriate part and they have reimbursed me for this cost.
He was able to make the repair within a few days of the approved estimate. He lives up to his name of his company: Speed Plumbing.

I contacted him late at night because there was a water leak in my laundry room. He came the next morning and conducted an inspection.
He informed me that he checked everywhere and found that the water pipe was actually in good condition. The reason for the leakage was that my tenant forgot to turn off the water while filling the bathtub, causing the water to overflow onto the floor and spread across the floor, getting into the seams behind the toilet and down the glass.

In my case he serviced our ten year old Rinnai tankless water heater with a descaling treatment. He connected with me the same day I submitted a request for service, we scheduled for a couple days after that, and he called when on the way, arriving shortly thereafter.
He explained the service, got right to work, and showed me the output of the system that clearly indicated it needed a cleansing. In addition to that he explained how I could do the service myself in the future if I choose to, he looked at our sump pump set up that I had a question on, and also gave me some advice on a hose bib on the outside of the house (all while the descaling treatment was doing it's thing).
