Review and analyze now for company John Murray Plumbing and provide the analysis in the discussed format for the following reviews: '''Once again, very satisfied with our experience using John Murray Plumbing. After they replaced our failing water heater back in 2008, less than 2 years after moving to Saugus, and satisfied with that job and our lawn drainage issues a couple of years back.
We called on their services again on yesterday; 8-5-2024, after my wife noticed the water leakage on our garage floor coming from that same, now 16 year old water heater. I immediately made a call to John Murray.
From first contact with receptionist Diana, to Aaron and his assistant arriving some 2 hours later, a very cordial and professional experience. Our new water heater was installed within less than 2 hours.
We'd call on their services again if need be. John Murray has done 2 services for me recently.
Tub faucet cartridge replacement and faucet installation. The tub fix went fine.
The faucet job required a follow-up when the shut off valve mysteriously broke and began to leak the next day. After calling them twice and getting "pushy," the plumber fit me in and the repair was done.
Gee I hate plumbing issues. Had my water heater fully replaced after my old one leaked and damaged the area around.
Excellent customer service from the office members and the technician team that worked on it. Highly recommend JMP.
Great prices, workmanship, and customer care. I'm going to call them for other services in the future.
John Murray Plumbing was wonderful. Tom helped with multiple plumbing issues.
I will definitely use them again! Casey was super. He helped me with a stinky sink fix that was hard for me, easy for him.
10/10 recommend. Not cool.
We signed the contract and everything was set in order to install the gas pip but they kept delaying the work and eventually didn't do it. We have left with a trench on the side of the house open and scrambling to get someone else to do the job.
again, not cool. My initial experience with John Murray Plumbing, as a first-time customer, left much to be desired.
While I initially contacted them to install two bathroom faucets from Home Depot, I had additional items in my work order that needed attention: 1. Installing two new sink bathroom faucets.
2. Repairing my leaking bathroom tub faucet or identifying the necessary parts for me to order.
3. Swapping out a plastic piece in the toilet that connects to the wall.
4. Reviewing the built-in shower trim and assisting me in determining which trim I could order to fit the old valve.
5. Evaluating toilets to find one that would fit well since I desired a larger toilet.
I engaged with Amanda regarding these items and utilized their text system to send pictures, which was initially a positive experience. I was informed that the hourly rate was $150, and any parts on the truck were optional for purchase.
The toilet tub replacement was an additional $17. The plumber effectively handled the tasks, but unfortunately, he didn't have the parts needed for the leaking tub faucet, which, upon ordering, would cost $170.
In hindsight, I regret not obtaining the part number immediately for comparison shopping. The final bill amounted to $473.00 for a 2.5-hour visit, including sink faucet installation, toilet tube replacement, and labor.
However, the lack of a detailed breakdown on the bill left me dissatisfied it was written out in three sentences, when I asked the plumber about that he said they don't do cost breakdowns on the bill. Days later, with no response regarding the tub faucet, shower trim, and toilet concerns, I contacted the office multiple times.
The communication breakdown persisted, leading to frustration. When I finally spoke with Amanda, seeking the tub faucet part number and information on the shower trim and toilet, she promised to consult her manager and call me back.
Unfortunately, despite days passing, there has been no follow-up. As a new customer, this lack of communication and unresolved issues have eroded my trust in John Murray Plumbing.
Although understanding that we all get busy, being ghosted after paying the $473.00 bill and being promised follow-up on outstanding issues leaves me with an unpleasant feeling. Regrettably, I cannot recommend John Murray Plumbing and will be seeking a different plumber in my local area.
Jeff Stark from John Murray Plumbing was excellent! I called for a plumber and he was here within the half hour. He got the job done, gave a discount, and completely fixed the problem.
He has a great bedside manner and is very affordable. I HIGHLY recommend this company.
Idiots don't know a supply line from a discharge line! Frkn Morons! Idiot comes out and turns water off then goes inside and says "you need a new sink and toilet" while looking around with a flashlight. Don't want to do what your hired for then find a new line of work! I've been a customer of this company for quite a few years.
I've nothing but praise for their work. However this recent job by Casey just blew away the competition.
I had a problem with hot water pressure. He went around the house from the boiler to under the sink and to every sink and tap to resolve the issue at every possible location.
He did it quickly, cleanly and pleasantly. Definitely recommend this company and if you can request Casey for so.
Not a good way to wake up, toilets and shower backed up. After a few minutes it was clear that plunging would not do the trick.
I called John Murray Plumbing and they were able to send Jeff and his partner over within an hour. Jeff diagnosed the issue, being more thorough than past plumbers, and was able to get everything running within an hour.
Professional, efficient, and explained everything. Great service.
I'll definitely be calling for our regular plumbing needs. John Murray is the plumber to use in the Santa Clarita area.
This call was for preventative maintenance of the toilets. It was not a emergency.
Received a call the morning of the appointment, and given a two hour window...between 12-2. Miguel arrived on time.
The 3 toilets were fully rebuilt. They were all done in less than a hour.
Amazing. Thank you If you live in Santa Clarita, this is the plumbing company for you.
Hands-down, great service, professional people very reliable and very good pricing. I had another plumbing company in the area quote me five times more on a single job.
At a time where people are struggling to put food on their table and to pay their bills I can't believe a plumbing company would do such a thing like that. However, John Murray plumbing did not take advantage of me.
They were fair and Price they did the job well with no issues they cleaned up after themselves. Do you want a plumbing company you know you need a John Murray Plumbing And yes, I am a real person.
I am a real customer and no one is paying me for this. What a nightmare at midnight total back sewage blockage ....
Called our local John Murray customer 24 hour service ... had Casey out within 30 minutes he arrived and diagnose the problem he worked on the sewer pipeline for a good hour with no luck.
My problem was a little bigger than what I expected. Casey came back the next morning 8:30 AM with his buddy Blake they went above and beyond and got my issue resolved.
Casey and Blake worked hard excellent customer service i'm beyond thankful !!!! definitely going to recommend John Murray to family and friends These guys are great and have been in business a long time. BUT they have the highest prices in town.
If you have a complicated issue call them. If you just need a small job done, call them last.
They are a high quality company and their prices reflect that. Reliable and knowledgeable! I have had several jobs done by them, sick plumbing a/c gas line, water heater.
They installed a new water heater. Competitive pricing and professional service.
Recommend. I bought a house with a junk septic tank, and JMP did an amazing job getting me a new tank and installing super fast.
Everyone on the team is really nice, and really on top of it. They handled all the dealings with the government agencies that oversee these types of projects, and I never had to lift a finger to do a thing.
The install went really fast, and they amazing job getting it in and refilling the hole to not appear like any work had been done. I am really happy I went with John Murray plumbing.
I will be using them for all my plumbing needs. Aron did an excellent job patching up and repairing our plumbing system located between the 1st and 2nd floor.
Reasonable rates too John Murray plumbing is the best plumbing company I ever used Today he fixed two leaking outside faucets and my wife asked him to check some leaking stuff for my air conditioning and they actually fixed it. I had other people come to the house and didn't know what they were doing these guys are great I recommend them to everybody in Santa Clarita Plumbing problems and be aggravating but John Murray Plumbing made it as pleasant as possible.
Their office was professional and let us know our situation was common and gave us an estimate over the phone that was accurate. Not only accurate but much lower than other estimates received.
Then Carlos called early as promised and narrowed the service window which was helpful. He arrived early and went right to work.
Carlos explained what he was about to do, then did it quickly and professionally. Problem was resolved in a jiffy.
Highly recommend John Murray Plumbing for professional service at a fair price John Murray Plumbing sent Cole today to repair a leaking toilet fill valve and a pop-up bathroom basin drain. He did excellent work and was a great person to work with.
We will definitely use John Murray Plumbing again and recommend them to our friends and neighbors. Thanks for a great job! John Farrar I had my water heater go out on a Sunday.
I called John Murray Monday morning. They came out and replaced the water heater before lunch.
Very quick and very clean, I highly recommend. They do very good work and the prices they charge are pretty standard.
They will never try to upsell you. There how water heater installation is cheaper then most We noticed paint bubbling in one of our bathrooms (that hasn't been used in over a year) just outside the shower stall.
We called John Murray Plumbing right away (on a Saturday) because we didn't want to risk a small problem becoming a bigger one despite the difference in price for a weekend call out compared to a weekday one. Brooke answered and said she could have someone come out same day and would call us within 15 minutes of arrival.
Miguel and Cade came out and found the source of the leak in just over one hour. They were professional and polite.
Miguel had to cut into the drywall where the paint was bubbling but it's not where the water was coming from (because that would have been too easy, right?). They were methodical in their search and they were able to stop and fix the leak without having to break through tile or cut through more drywall.
This isn't the first time we've had to call John Murray Plumbing. Our house was built in the late 80s so plumbing needs fixing every now and again as pipes start to fail.
Point is we wouldn't hesitate to call them. They are trustworthy, personable, reasonably priced, and the team is excellent.
Quick response - quick service Best price ... our go to for plumbing! Get their Quote - you'll be glad for it !!! We used to call for two specific plumbers from John Murray, but they both left.
Miguel came this time for some maintenance works. He was efficient and left everything nice and clean.
Definitely will ask for him for the next time. I Scheduled my appointment for a leaky toilet, I was offered same day service but not realizing it was that easy was at work so I scheduled for next day.
Our tech called first thing in the morning to provide us with the service window, he arrived on time, and was quick to diagnose and fix the issue. My technician was friendly and professional.
Most importantly, I didn't feel ripped off for the service. Would definitely recommend! I called John Murray to request a quote for replacing my 50 gallon water heater.
I submitted the pictures of the water heater to John Murray and other plumbing companies for quote. The office lady in John Murray told me the total charge will be $1,xxx and their plumber Eric will bring a 50 gallon water heater along during our appointment.
Then Eric changed the quote to $3,xxx because the water heater is a different style. Then I decided to stop Eric from going forward, as I want to get quote from other companies as well.
Then John Murray charged me $150 which the office lady had never mentioned to me earlier. I felt John Murray did not give me a correct quote by confirming the water heater to be replaced in the first place, but blamed me for not giving them enough information.
Unlike Speedy Plumber that replied my call and asked me for pictures of the water heater and gave me a correct quote for $2,xxx. I do not agree with the charge of $150 by John Murray's not doing professional consultation and just brought along with an incorrect style of water heater along without verifying ahead of time like Speedy Plumbing Co and then blamed and charged customer for their extra work needed.
I will go ahead to dispute this charge with my credit company. Had an after hour emergency and Cade was very helpful and professional.
He walked me through a lot of questions before coming out and once he arrived, he went straight to work. I was really nervous as a line broke under the sink but Cade was very knowledgeable and quick to fix my problem.
Highly recommend John Murray Plumbing for any plumbing issues you may have. Thank you again Cade! Please Read It's seriously difficult now a days to find honest and trustworthy and reliable contractor, mechanic, plumber, tech, you name it and you'll find review after review of countless people being scammed and being taken advantage of.
Here is my plight... I knew our dryer vent under our home was not cleaned in awhile and I was concerned of a fire after years ago watching something about a fire starting from a clogged dryer vent.
We cleaned it as thoroughly and pulled out months of build up. Thought it was cleaned but it was not so I called our home warranty company AHS for service on the dryer.
A serviceman came out turned it on and said there's a clog, he refused to go under our house and told us to get someone to clean out the clog (and yes we still had to pay the deductible). So we purchased a shop vac and proceeded to unclog it.
To no avail! So at this point we are getting desperate with our wash pilling up and the heat outside getting to over 100 degrees. We looked online and found Murray's Plumbing, all I can say is these guys took care of it all for us and we're super friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend their services. Have a nice day! We had a hot water heater go out as well as a leaky pipe under the house.
When another leak happened under the house in a different spot they recommended a repipe. That was fine, this review is about their knowledge and value.
They have been totally fair in comparison to our other plumber and on the repipe told me about PEX even though they didn't do it. We did get the repipe and the company thought our new water heater was one of the better ones on the market.
So I highly recommend John Murray Plumbing. They know their biz.
Very pleased from start to finish. Quick response, courteous, professional and reasonably priced.
Will definitely call them for future needs John Murray fixed my constant drip in the shower. My water pressure was high and they fixed that as well.
A few months later and we have no problems with the faucet. I am glad I found a honest and reliable plumbing company.
Rip-of! Used to be "home town plumber". No good anymore.
Unnecessary multiple visits to up $. Unnecessary multiple plumbers to double cost.
They make a deal - break a deal. Beware! "John Murray Plumbing" is the best plumbing service in Santa Clarita.
They are timely, professional and have clear prices and do quality work. On a nice side note: we unexpectedly needed to have the plumber check something under our upstairs sink before I had the chance to clear out our under the sink stuff When I checked later the plumber actually took everything out to get to the faucet.
Then When he put everything back so neatly ( an unnecessary chore) but it was actually more organized than it was before. Thanks!! I chuckled.
Read this companys reviews b 4 calling them.they are very very over priced.they charged me $375 for 30 minutes.toid my association about price gouging they will no longer b using them.we work too hard for our money I had two leaks running from my second floor guest bathroom to the garage. Russ Immediately assess the situation and told me exactly what he was going to do.
Russ was professional and showed his work ethics and experience in plumbing. I recommend John Murray plumbing to friends and family.
Russ has over 15 years of experience and a great asset to John Murray plumbing company. My leak in the bathroom was never fixed they came out three times and I they charged me over 400 i had get a different plumber to get the job done right John II - outstanding.
Being a tenant it's hard to find good service providers that respect the tenants and provided a good balance with regard to landlord and property management representation. John II - (there are multiple John's at John Murray Plumbing), was wonderful.
He upheld his obligation to the property management company while being receptive and honest with us. I have used John Murray in the past more than once before by last need.
I made a call to install three ball-valves (2 copper, One Plastic) for irrigation line, and connect one broken line by adding 2 bends and 1 coupling. I dug out the soil and made the line clear to work.
John Murray called at my work and told me that the cost is $1051 that include 6 hours labor. I came home look at the work done and called the office and express my concern about amount charge.
My labor hour were reduced after my call and final charge set to $952.00. I find this charges were still outrageous as a customer.
I asked my neighbors and few friends, they all said this is accessible charge. I would like to leave up to readers to see what they think fair and honest charge should.
see attached photos. They're the best.
We call them first whenever we have any plumbing trouble. They're professional and knowledgeable and they do the job right.
Thomas, from John Murry Plumbing, came out and assessed our leaking kitchen drain and repaired it quickly and efficiently, even though the leak was behind a stucco wall! He was professional, friendly and competent. No more leaks.
Diana, who fields their calls, was also very friendly and professional. I highly recommend John Murray Plumbing.
Excellent service by John. What a nice hard working young man.
I would highly recommend this company. On time, reliable and didn't try to up sale me something I didn't need.
I contacted John Murray Plumbing after the plumber that I was assigned under my home warranty policy told me that the earliest they could come to repair my water heater was late afternoon the next day! I didn't want to be without hot water for that long, so I contacted John Murray Plumbing. I was told that their crew had already gone out for the day, but that they would try to get someone out to my place that same day.
Within an hour I got a call that someone was on their way to my home. By the afternoon I had a new water heater and hot water! I trust the folks at John Murray Plumbing.
My contacts with them have been friendly and professional. I have been completely satisfied with the work that they have done in my home.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that has a plumbing problem. I live in Valencia.
I had discovered that everything under one of my upstairs bathroom sinks was wet. After studying the situation, I decided that water was leaking from inside the wall.
I had used John Murray Plumbing in the past for another bathroom problem and was happy with the service. So I, of course, turned to them for this new problem.
I was told the plumber would arrive between 11:00 & 1:00. True to form, Miguel, arrived at11:00.
He never hesitated, was competent, & knew exactly how to quickly fix the problem. He determined that water was not coming from the wall.
He had the required new piping in his truck. Besides all that, he was personable & friendly.
Then to top it all off, I was shocked when he handed me the invoice. It was for a fraction of what I had expected to pay.
To say that this plumbing service provides exceptional service is an understatement. It doesn't get any better.
Thank you John Murray. Called John Murray plumbing off a few recommendations to do an area yard drain clean.
The team of TJ and Miguel came out and battled twenty-two years of roots, dirt and debris. They worked fast and even cleaned up when they were done.
They were masked, they were professional and kept me informed of the progress. This was a project that was years overdue so the job was not an easy one.
I am more than happy with the results. Bring on the rain.
I've attached a photo of the roots they pulled out of one drain (this was the easy drain). Had a leaking pipe In my ceiling.
Called them, they responded. I already opened up the ceiling.
Disappointed in two things. The individual who came was not a plumber as he had to call someone else out to assist him.
I am disappointed in the mess they left in the house. Also the company staff never introduced themselves to me An after hours Plumbing rescue was much appreciated.
Work by Jeff was quick and professional. I would definitely call them again for any plumbing issue I would encounter.
5 stars. Watched this guy in the John Murray maroon truck speed through a stop sign in front of our house where children often play.
He did not slow down even one bit, like the stop sign wasn't there. I have lived in my house for 35 years, and I think I've used John Murray Plumbing almost that whole time up to today.
Sadly, I am motivated to write this review and switch my service to a new plumbing company. I don't know what happened to John Murray Plumbing, at the beginning it was the dad and the son I believe, and now maybe it's just become too big and heartless.
My pilot light went out on my water heater, and I tried to light it myself after guidance from YouTube. Couldn't do it so I paid $150 service charge for A plumber from John Murray to come out and relight it.
But it didn't stay relit, and after I called again less than 24 hours later, they wanted to charge me an additional $150 to come out and re-light it again. When I questioned the charge again saying that it didn't really get taken care of and could she ask a supervisor about it, she came back and said well that's what it costs for them to come out again, and that the plumber who came out said this was a lousy water heater...
One they had installed seven years earlier, and since it's seven years old, will just need to be replaced. There doesn't seem to be any desire for good customer service in this business any longer.
A follow up is I called Shellback plumbing, and they told me they wouldn't charge me anything to have them come out and light the pilot light... And so they are the ones who I am paying $5000 to install a tankless water heater.
This company is the recommended plumber by our HOA; however, I will not be contacting them for non-HOA repairs from here on out. They're great when it comes to actual repairs, but brush off certain obvious things with very high-level explanations resulting in the homeowner to do their own research and testing, then telling the plumber specially what needs to be repaired.
A known causation doesn't always produce the same sequence of results. They assumed the leak we were experiencing would produce an expected series of results, but didn't actually didn't take the time investigate the source and results of our particular leak.
We had to do the investigation ourselves and provide the exact repair. Basically, if you have a very obvious leak or something that needs to be repaired, these guys are good.
They're good at taking direct orders. Their pricing is reasonable for parts and labor.
If you're experiencing an issue that requires actual investigation/diagnostics OR whatever you're experiencing doesn't fit into their predetermined/assumed A + B = C pattern, go elsewhere. It's worth spending a little more money with someone who's thorough with more complicated issues and does the job right the first time rather than calling these guys twice.
If you're female dealing with a male at the company, be prepared to be talked over all the time. I called John Murray plumbing late afternoon on a Saturday.
My main water line next to the house had been leaking. I started tearing out some concrete to see if I could spot the leak.
I was unsuccessful and had a surgery appointment. So my wife asked me to find a plumber from my hospital bed post surgery.
I went online and saw a few plumbers who worked Saturday's and emergencies. I have neighbors who have worked with John Murray plumbing with great results.
I called and a very nice and helpful female voice said that they could do it that evening. She told me their prices for regular service, after hours service and holiday service.
It sounded very fair to me. My wife called me in the hospital later and was very impressed with the two workers they sent out.
She said they fixed the problem and were courteous and professional. She told me the amount of the bill and I was very surprised and happy.
It was about 1/2 to 3/4 of what I expected. Very good experience and they gave a new customer.
Great Company! Very prompt, professional and friendly. John Murray has come out on many occasions when i sprung a leak or needed plumbing done.
They have fair pricing regular hours and emergency. Extremely Reliable! Fast srevice on time and Great Service.

. Nice family owned business that I've seen driving around Santa Clarita for decades.
It doesn't hurt to have his daughter live next to us for years. Nice families! John came out and gave me a quote for a tankless water heater.
He said he doesn't have one, nor do any of his employees have one. The main disadvantage is that if your power goes out, you won't have any hot water.
No problem. His quote was the highest of the three, but it wasn't that much more than the other two.
The first was good, the second was like a car salesman, but our friend uses John Murray, so I trusted them. His two guys came out and did a nice job of installing the unit to the wall, adding two drain pipes through the garage wall, and changing out the exhaust vent to the roof (used the same pipe going up to the roof).
Overall, it came out very nice! So helpful and honest . Quick to respond .
John Murray plumbing repiped the home more than 20 years ago . Excellent service for years in our community .
BEWARE- this is an extremely unprofessional team. We had a scheduled inspection for the purchase of a property and they did the inspection at a time that was not disclosed to us so we couldn't be there to ask questions initially.
Then when we went back to ask questions they gave us a difficult time and were very disrespectful with their answers as if it isn't their responsibility to help educate their clients on this. I question their honesty and ethics after our experience.
Even our client called them to ask questions about the septic system. The only thing the owner of this company did was talk down to our client and shift the blame anywhere else he could.
John, I am extremely disappointed in your service. A simple conversation shouldn't be such a burden on a professional.
My shower handle broke off with the rod rusted off so needed to replace the pipes and shower handle. Almost closing time, JMP came and diagnosed the problem and schedule work the next day.
They arrived as scheduled and completed the job. Far as I know the job was done right.
Thanks JMP. Our new stove couldn't be pushed all the way back to the wall, because the original gas stub out location, which wasn't a problem with the old stove, was now in the way.
Needed it moved down lower to fit properly behind the stove. It took me calling the gas company to realize they don't work on gas lines inside the house, but plumbers do! Wanted to keep our practice of using local independent companies when we can.
So contacted John Murray Plumbing. We set up the appointment a few days in advance, for our convenience, and gave them a 2 hour window.
It was nice we were called 15 min before Russ showed up. Russ was in and out in an hour, did a safe and professional job, performed a leak test, and was very pleasant! And the price was reasonable.
We hope we don't need a plumber again any time soon, but if we do, we'll certainly call JMP again! We just had the most positive plumbing experience ever with Tom from John Murray Plumbing. We we're doing multiple plumbing upgrades and some of the various fixtures and attachments didn't fit exactly and Tom was able to do the extra work necessary to get the job done! He's SO professional and makes great use of time, and he's just super nice too! I would recommend him without hesitation!! THANK YOU TOM!! And thank you John Murray Plumbing for setting us up with such a great plumber!! John Murray Plumbing has been "our plumbing company" for almost 25 years! They have made repairs, cleared drains and provided plumbing for renovation projects.
Their office help is fabulous! They are pleasant, professional and very helpful in setting up an appointment time and keep the customer updated as to arrival time. The window period is 2 hours (as opposed to 4 hours to all day).
Most recently TJ came to repair a bathroom shower faucet. We thought it would need be replaced and purchased a new set.
He looked at the problem, told us to return the purchased product and made the necessary repair. As always! Great job John Murray...251-JOHN! John Murray plumbing is our usual contact for our condos.
The work is always good, they are clean and friendly and fairly priced. I used them for work the other day and the small job went as smooth as any other.
Great business. Water heater died last night.
Water everywhere in the garage. Called John Murray Plumbing first thing & got my quote.
While waiting for a call from the plumber to schedule, I reached out to two other plumbers in town. That was a huge shock! John Murray was 40% cheaper than the others! Got a call from Jeff (JMP) within 30 mins of my original call and got a three hour window for today.
He showed up just before the given time window. Got it all done in less than an hour.
Cleaned things up, had some nice small talk while he and Cade worked. They were Great! Thanks again for taking good care of us! We've used JMP since the mid-1980's and they never fail!!! After talking to three other well-know area plumbers John Murray did the job without upselling or price gouging.
Two other plumbers said I needed a new flange for a loose toilet. TJ said it was just new bolts.
The old stainless had rusted out and he replaced them with brass. He even installed me a new flapper.
He swapped out a tankless water heater in less than w hours total time and fixed an upstairs faucet on my tub (one of the other plumbers said I was going to have REMOVE the tub to get it done -- for $1,200). These guys are not just the best but honest.
All this work for ~$500. I almost want to break one of my other toilets just to have them come fix it.
But honestly... I hope I never see them again.
But if that day comes, I know it will be great work for a fair price. They did a great job at the start.
Two guys putting in two shower heads and replacing the air gap on my kitchen sink. But when the tape seemed to loosen on one of the shower heads, causing it to swivel on its own, I called for them to come back out and repair it.
"It's a service call," she said from the office. That's $105! To put tape on something that wasn't properly done in the first place! "I'm looking at your records.
That was 4 months ago." When I told her that I won't pay for them to come repair something they installed incorrectly, she said she'd have the Office Manager call me. Still waiting.
Lesson: They only guarantee their work for UNDER 4 months. Wonderful! I called last minute to fix our water heater.
Was told they were busy and possibly couldn't come till next day. They called 30 min later and sent TJ.
He was there within 20 min! Wonderful service. TJ was nice and knowledgeable.
Great work guys! What a great experience from start to finish with John Murray Plumbing. John came out last month to give me an estimate for a hot water pipe burst in the slab.
He showed up on time, wore a mask, and gave me two options for the repair. I chose to re-pipe and I'm not going to lie, it's costly, it takes several days, and there will be a lot of drywall to repair.
That was the bad news. The good news: before John left (when he came out for the estimate), he gave me the cost and went over each area of the house and garage that would be affected so there would not be any surprises.
Once I signed the contract, John came back, along with his son, and they went through my house again, in order to go over everything and confirm where the pipes were going to be placed. During the two days of repair, I had a crew of 5 plumbers.
On both days, someone called to let me know exactly when they would be at my house. They were great! Everyone wore a mask, everyone was extremely friendly and polite, they took the time to answer any questions I had, and cleaned up at the end of each day.
I would not hesitate to recommend John Murray Plumbing. Terrible customer service.
Not upfront about their 30 day warranty and do not care if they actually fix the problem. John Murray Plumbing always responds quickly and within the time frame promised.
Today TJ and Tristan came out to assess a problem we were having in our tub/shower. Within mere minutes they narrowed in on what was wrong and got right to fixing it.
We've been using John Murray Plumbing for over 30 years and have always been impressed with their technicians knowledge and skills. Just as importantly, they are always fair in their charges and never try to oversell.
As an added bonus the whole JMP team are just darn good folks. Excellent experience.
Called one day and they were out to my house the next day. Plummer arrived on time, clean and friendly.
Fixed what I needed fixed and were fair in their fees. Being so new to Santa Clarita, and haven't had to look for a plumber for very many years, I am so glad I found John Murray Plumbing!! I saw the red truck near my home and decided to do my research.
They have great reviews on yelp, an A+ from the Better Business Bureau and an up-to-date license. I am so happy I found such a PROFESSIONAL, RELIABLE AND CLEAN company.
Kevin, the plumber who came out, was so patient and respectful. He kept and left my bathroom clean (as he found it) after changing a wax ring on my toilet.
He exceeded my expectations on how he was going to do the repair, and the price. So stress free and fair!! Also, the young girl who answered the phone (Amber?) was so helpful and KNOWLEDGEABLE.
This company made me confident in their services and relieved so much of my undue stress in hiring someone new! Thank you so much John Murray Plumbing to your commitment to excellence and customer service (that's the way it should always be)!! I have already shared your company information with my neighbors who said they will give you a try when they need service. I just had new countertops installed.
Instead of paying $600 for the install company to disconnect and reconnect my plumbing, I disconnected myself and called John Murray Plumbing to reconnect for me. They sent Kevin.
Kevin was on time. He was fast, friendly and professional.
I was charged $118 for the visit. My only gripe is that they don't take American Express, but other than that, I am happy with the work Kevin did.
Interesting how a number of people said similar things: that the plumber who is sent to diagnose a problem often isn't even a plumber but a sales rep, like what happened to me. He did NO investigation, in fact refused to even confirm and dismissed out of hand the diagnostic work of the plumber I'd called out to fix a kitchen drain problem, who used mirrors, took apart piping and confirmed it was a problem with how the pipes had been installed by the original builder who we all knew went bankrupt during the process and cut corners.
The HOA manager always uses Murray for all her jobs and insisted on them taking a look but the guy came out in a business shirt holding a clip board and just said that since it had gotten approved by an inspector it had to be right! We- like many workmen who were around at that time (90-95) - know the builder took other shortcuts as well or just didn't finish work and figured correctly most people wouldn't find out til they had problems, but he AND the Manager dismissed my plumber's careful work and treated us both like idiots. My plumber even spent a lot of time speaking to both the Manager for no extra charge and tried to explain to the Murray guy who brushed him off, clearly he answered only to the Manager not to homeowners or the integrity of the job.
The plumber I'd hired couldn't clean out the drain the usual way b/c the builder installed the kitchen drainpipe so it was turning back INTO the house not outside, it was VISIBLE with mirrors. Others have said that while Murray's guys would not take the time to diagnose properly they executed the work once presented with facts.
Mine refused to even consider it b/c he wanted to just stay in good graces with the Manager. Saving costs for the HOA can be a good thing but not when they're refusing to do the right thing.
The Murray guy didn't even LOOK at the problem, refused to consider that it was plumbed wrong, just said that b/c it had passed inspection it had to be right! I WOULD NOT TRUST MURRAY PLUMBING. Some years back, had them come out to install water pumps, a new water heater (which they suggested to buy through them) and other services.
What I got was only a bill with a total on it, with no breakdown of parts, what was installed, etc.. After going back and forth to get the details, I finally got it needed information and made the FULL payment Fast forward several years,, the water heater they provided does not work.
It is still under warrantee. I called to let them know of the failure and asked if they could send a technician to address the issue.
Their response was that "They would pass" on this work because of the issues that THEY created years ago! I would never wish this type of service on anyone.. BEWARE of them.
I suggest you get American Home Shield, pay your $100 and get service that is 100% guaranteed.. for the life of the product or service!! Always a great experience when we call John Murray Plumbing.
They response quickly and explains the details of the job. I always recommend them when I hear someone needs plumbing services.
These guys are amazing. I had an issue with a leak within my walls.
I called John Murray Plumbing and TJ was knocking on my door 15 minutes later. He was quickly able to assess the problem and provide remedy.
Will definitely call again with my next plumbing issue. I trust these guys.
We've been using JMP for over 3 years now whenever we have a plumbing issue. They've done everything from quick drain clearing to an entire main line replacement for us.
John's guys are always kind, clean, and professional - we highly recommend them! Thank you TJ for being professional, knowledgeable and punctual! You were able to fix our kitchen faucet problem and give some helpful hints. Thank you once again for a great work! Awesome plumbers! Had a disposal go bad, called these guys out and they were at my home an hour later.'''.
