But more than being just a great plumber, he's just a really smart guy who's great at problem solving in general. On top of that, he's on time, he's prompt, he works very efficiently, and he's fair in terms of price.
When he finished the job faster than expected, he took a chunk off the bill, even though I had already agreed to paying the full amount. We had an emergency, he was able to come out the next day, and even during prime traffic hours in the bay area he was on time.
He checked everything, and we agreed to put the estimate cost (175) towards the final bill, which I thought was very fair, since he did a very thorough job of inspecting the crawlspace and pipes. My house is set up so that the pipes in question are very hard to access, so originally we thought we were going to have to break open a wall to get to the pipes, which would require us getting a contractor and spending a ton of $$$. Called Wizards Plumbing and they suggested me to replace the whole sewage pipes for $6800! Himzeh came and opened it for $200! Within 24 hours! I'm pretty sure I wrote a review of Hamzeh Plumbing the last time I needed him, but here's another. Toilet clogged up and I couldn't get it unclogged using a plunger, which is the full extent of my plumbing prowess.
So I called Hamzeh mid day today. He answered his phone and agreed to come by early evening.
He called when he was on the way, arrived in good time, was cheery and friendly and not grossed out by my plumbing problems. He fixed it in about 15 min., completely cleaned up that gross, awful toilet and gave me a few tips on how to keep it working well.

We moved into a new house two years ago. For two years we had HomeGuard HomeWarranty, and they charge a lot also sent us not really good technicians.

Turns out when you get that bubbling noise from the toilet your sewage line might be broken. Without a clean out, Hamzeh snaked the sewage line through the toilet and pulled roots and even worms! He pointed out that when he pulls worms, it's a sure sign that your line has been broken for awhile.

Like the other reviewers say: Hamzeh is a lifesaver who you'll really appreciate if you've been wrestling with so-so pipes or so-so plumbers. He quickly replaced a ton of 70-year-old galvanized steel pipe and corrected a bunch of mistakes wrought by earlier repairs.
Three things stand out: (1) Hamzeh knows his stuff. He not only knew how to rebuild an ancient shower valve in my house, but he knew where to get the 20-or-so arcane gaskets we needed.
(2) He does not cheap out on the parts. Yes, you're the one paying for the parts, but here's the point: You're paying a plumber for the hours needed to install something.
If he installs a cheap valve that will need replacement soon, then you saved $1 on the part and you'll pay for it in, say, $300 worth of labor 2 years from now. So listen to Hamzeh: Use decent quality parts.
(3) He lays out all the options for you. This goes with #1, above.

Hamzeh Plumbing is licensed and offers a limited warranty on his work. Like most people, we never think about plumbers until we are in a crisis! On Sunday, July 6 our waterline from the floor to the fridge's ice maker started leaking.
Turns out the old tube had been broken by the previous owners and patched together with tape! As water was quickly leaking on to the kitchen floor we called Hamzeh! Hamzeh was at our house in San Mateo in less than 15 minutes. He is very polite and courteous with a great sense of humor.
We found his prices fair and reasonable considering it was Sunday too! Hamzeh is great! We discovered a leak in one of the pipes for our water heater the night before. We called someone else first but never received a response.
Hamzeh responded quickly the next morning and was over in 20 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem and knew exactly how to handle our problem.

Was not disappointed. I had called around to several other plumbing places in the area, sent them emails, left multiple voicemails, etc.; never heard back from any of them, not even from the very-highly reviewed places in the mid-peninsula with tons of positive ratings.
Hamzeh picked up on my first try (as many others have said) and was very communicative via text and calls throughout the multi-day job. Hamzeh is a true expert - exceedingly thorough and knowledgeable (his investigatory skill led to solving the root problem that all other previously contacted plumbers had failed to identify), a consummate professional, and a great sense of humor.
Highly highly recommend. Give him a call if you've got a problem with grime in your pipes! Hamzeh Plumbing came to the rescue in one home when I lived in South SF since another plumber could not identify and fix the problem.
Ultimately Hamzeh found out what to do and resolved the problem with great professionalism. Afterward he made certain to clean everything up which was important since there was a lot of black goo involved! In another instance when living in San Bruno he recently came into the fold since the complex has unreliable plumbing on top of various issues for some of the condos (including mine).
He replaced the toilet and also worked out clogging that was outside of the unit but backing up the pipes for my unit. He confidently and happily cleaned up behind the job and checked the kitchen as an extra service.

One of the nicest people you will ever meet, almost everyone in the house preferred to sit and chat with him as he completed his work. What started out as an apparent clogged sink that was labeled "unfixable" by our previous plumber, was found to be a much more serious problem by Hamzeh.
Where as our previous plumber (who quite possibly had the IQ of a doorknob) was only interested in temporary fixes that guaranteed him return business, Hamzeh was straight forward and honest from the start. Hamzeh discovered that it was not only a clogged drain but in fact a broken pipe underground in a very hard to access location.
Instead of this quickly turning into a stressful, wallet-draining nightmare like previous experiences with plumbers have been; Hamzeh quickly put any worry to bed by coming up with a more logical (cost-effective) solution to our problem. He came back the next day (Superbowl Sunday!) and finished ALL the required work (and more) within 10 hours.
Wow! Needless to say he saved us thousands of dollars as well as A LOT of inconvenience and stress. The experience (for what it is) was nothing less than refreshing.

Hamzeh was quick to assess my plumbing issue - a back-up with the bathroom clean-out - merely by asking a couple questions. He arrived on time and was not put off by the difficult access to the clean-out.
He and his brother got to work immediately. On a hillside in a somewhat difficult area to access, they hauled in their equipment and took care of the problem expeditiously.
I had a feeling the plumber I called a year ago, did not perform adequate service. Hamzeh showed me the poor quality fitting that was used and at the root of the problem.
He explained what the problem was, how it needed to be fixed and was careful to demonstrate the health of the pipe with the video sent up the line before they closed it up again. They're fast, efficient and accommodating. I wasn't in any particular rush, but when I told Hamzeh I had the toilet already, he came on over - you can't beat same-day service.

He is fast and accurate and honest. The toilet was a old fashion one with water pipe coming from a place higher than the top of tank.
So it was hard to find a replacement. Hamzeh hand made a new pipe to make things fit perfectly.
The clogged floor drain at backyard was diagnosed by Roto Rooter first. Their technician (Alex) didn't open anything to check before he quoted for $325 plus $299.
According to him, a heavy machine (not sure what that was called) must be used and the $299 is to pay a second person to just carry the machine to the backyard. I told Alex that it might not need such a overkill and I suggested him to use smaller tool to find out what's the real problem was before going further.
But Alex said this was the way. Left with no option, I decided to contact another plumber according to existing Yelp reviews.

He also voluntarily scrubed the whole floor next to swimming pool without charging anything. I want to say, Hamzeh makes things look so easy.

I've had problems with the plumbing in my home for years and had many plumbers come out to clear the drains and try to once and for all solve the problem. Hamzeh recommended replacing the bathroom underground plumbing and one of the toilets, and explained in detail why it was needed and the changes he would make to resolve the constant problems.
He also alerted me to a shower drain that was ready to burst. He did major work replacing pipes under the home, sinks and shower pipes, added a clean out drain to my backyard, replaced the toilet, and the pipes behind the shower wall about a year ago.

I'd recommend him to anyone! When I discovered a leak under my kitchen sink, I went to Yelp to find a plumber and turned to Hamzeh because he had a five star rating. He was available to come the same day, but I had a conflict so we scheduled it for the next day, and he arrived right on time.
He quickly diagnosed the leak and had it fixed in less than two minutes because it was due to a misthreading on the faucet. Quite by chance he happened to notice that our toaster oven was also having a problem, which he quickly diagnosed as well.

All in all, from call to completion took about 45 minutes. WOW! He even noticed that the toilet seat was loose and tightened that as well as tightened the shower head.
