I called to replace my leaking kitchen faucet and was thrilled to meet David, who is professional, kind, and a friend to my very curious kitten who wanted to assist him with the job. Long story short, I called Dave a couple of months ago for a leak (floors were bulging) but none could be found. Dave recommended I pull up the floors and if it's a leak underneath to call him.
Finally pulled out laminate floors and noticed the wall was wet behind the tub. Called Dave and he came the next day.
He went above and beyond to figure out this mysterious leak since it wasn't the pipes behind the tub. He even went up on the roof with a hose to see if it was a leak in the roof.
Finally figured out the issue was the grout outside the tub (who would have thought). He told me I need to get someone to regrout and advise on a quick fix until someone can regrout.

Called David- very responsive and was able to come the next day as I had a DW delivery the following day- needed to replace a newly installed valve by a ' contractor' as well as attend to a leak so DW install would not be held up. I was already without a DW for 2 weeks and cook 3x a day so he was a life saver.

The ring was set too low and not level.
Water was slowly leaking into the ground and feeding the roots into the surrounding soil, and over time (seven years), the drain below the floor became entirely clogged with roots. David Wallace was NOT SCARED.
After a few phone calls, he came over and got to work, removing the toilet, clearing a giant wad of roots (for starters) which was growing down the drain from the ring, cleaning up the whole mess, and correctly installing a new ring and toilet in the space of a couple of hours in one afternoon. He responds quickly, explains his thoughts clearly, is an excellent diagnostician, prices his work fairly, and is not afraid of problem solving.
Plus he was just an all-around pleasure to work with. If I have any more plumbing problems, or general plumbing work that needs to be done right, I will call David.

From David, I learned the culprit was electrolysis. The previous plumber used two dissimilar metals, causing one piece to corrode and lead to the leak.

I found Dave Wallace here about 8 years ago. I have an older house with plumbing which is different from modern sizes, connections, layouts, etc.
