By the way, I did a lot of homework on water softeners before we bought ours and their price was very competitive for the high end type of products. We have had our Hague Water system for over 25 years. The Hague system saved the pipes in our 50 year old home.

We recently had the house re-piped and the only reason we didn't have leaks is because of the softener. We used a different authorized dealer for our filter changes and maintenance over the years.

but had major issues each and every time with them not returning calls and overcharging for their parts. Unfortunately, I didn't know there was anyone else who could do the work to our system.

We selected the Watermax system due to hard water in our area and the reverse osmosis system for drinking water. Process was easy and Danny did a great job installing both systems in a few hours.

Within a couple of days of moving in, our brand new stainless steel sink in the kitchen and glassed in shower had hard water spots all over it that were very difficult to remove with the existing hard water being used to try to clean it. Steve, from True-Tech Water (Hague is the water softener product), showed up one day and performed tests to show how hard it was.

He is super friendly and very knowledgeable about different water treatments. We felt very comfortable putting our trust in him.

Although our new house did not come with a water softener, it did have the plumbing for it. The set up was super easy for us...although not as easy for the guy that had to dig through concrete for the outside drip (not sure what it's called exactly)...but Steve paid the guy extra and that showed me what a great guy he is...taking care of his contractors.

It also does not take up a huge amount of room in our garage. We got a whole house filtration system and WOW, what a difference! And it was immediate.

Our skin (and my hair) have never been so soft. After washing our clothes the first time, they were softer.

We used a ton less product to get everything clean. Think about that...shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap / softener, dish soap, dishwasher soap, etc.

He was very diligent in explaining the "before" and "after" impact of installing this system, its advantages to other systems, and took the time to take water samples and demonstrate the results. We decided to install the system and since then, it has been running flawlessly.

Recently, we had a small inconvenience with an external hose that is used to purge the system every so often. Steve, even though he is located in San Jose, quickly came to our home in Santa Cruz and replaced with a newer and more flexible hose.

The installation had a couple of issues, which Steve and his team took care of without any changes to the contract. I had asked for copper pipes and not plastic ones.

Reverse Osmosis water is something I researched about and it was the same kind of water we would buy from a water station in Santa Clara. Having it in our new home is awesome! We got the home system together with the drinking water filtration.

Rheem) ourselves, recruiting Red Tulip for installation. As a family for four, we needed the job done ONCE, and done RIGHT.

Red Tulip patiently explained the rationale for doing what they did (routing hoses, installing new plumbing, choosing materials, etc.). They improved the setup by including a new gas valve trap, upgrading the valve itself, replacing the old water inlet gate valve with a brass half-turn, modified the emergency venting plumbing, added new color-matched inlet and outlet hoses, electrical grounding, re-leveled and readjusted the safety straps, redid the duct work (complete with tape seal and rivets to prevent exhaust leakage), replaced the heater's stock drain valve with a half-turn (blue handle in image below), and installed a drain pan.

Every fitting used was of the highest quality with long-term reliability in mind. Importantly, they have all the equipment they need on-site, which made for a fast and clean installation.

Ray has helped them with all their plumbing needs since 20+ years ago so we know they are good. Our recent firsthand experience has proven this is totally true! We discovered leakage in the kitchen sink drain a few weeks ago.

It was a difficult fix because the piping in question is inside the wall. Ray and his associate did an excellent job in locating the problem area right away.

They made an opening in the wall behind the dishwasher almost exactly where the leaky pipe joint was. Successfully accessing the pipes from inside the house is huge, much better than cutting a big hole on the exterior wall that is exposed to the elements.

They were very attentive in the repair work while keeping the space quite neat. They spent time to pressure test the system a few times to make sure the leak was fixed.

After that, they cleaned & put everything back nicely. Even garbage was bagged.

They also helped us replace the shower mixer cartridge. The work was done quite efficiently.

Now we can enjoy good hot shower finally! It was a day of hard work for them and we are very pleased with the results. On top of that, Ray called a few days later to follow up to make sure everything is working.

My parents needed to replace multiple old valves in an old condo building. Ray responded promptly and was very flexible with scheduling to come by for a quote and then for the job.

The Red Tulip Plumbing team are an entirely different class of plumbers in my experience after having four different plumbers to come to our home and quote us outrageously high costs for a complex project to just fix our dual shower bath.

Everyone else suggested that we need to take apart the wall or go through the tile. Red Tulip team was able to look at the real issue which were the face plates and cartridge and was able to modify the new faceplate and cartridge to work with a different model diverter in the wall.

For the second diverter they saw it had rust and they ordered the small metal part and will replace it. Overall they turned a multi thousand dollar unnecessary job to a few hundred dollar job and in turn gained a client for life with me! These guys are smart, clever, and are not trying to up sell some high cost thing.

When I mentioned the hardness of our water being the cause of damaging our faucets, they suggested the lowest cost option to be a $150 device that I could install myself which deacales the plumbing and I just installed it. They could have easily tried to push some expensive project.

There is a level of integrity, ingenuity, etiquette, and professionalism I have yet to experience from any Plumbers before! Of course, I also was flexible with their schedule and very kind to them... and I'd advise if you are respectful and flexible with them, you'll be amazed at the result.

They tried to scam me today. I have a dual sink with the side connected to a garbage disposal clogged.

One of Ray's associates came out for an estimate and told me right away that the garbage disposal is old and needs to be replaced, he could do it right now because he has a new one in his van and the cost would be $500. I asked him if he first checked to see if the pipes were clogged, he got annoyed and said that's impossible because they are not metal pipes.

Something seemed odd about that answer so I told him I'd call them after I thought about it. I decided to take the pipe off myself (something I've never done but it took 1 min) and found that it was very clogged.

I think this guy lied and tried to take advantage of me. Anyway, the silver lining is I learned how to do this myself - the sink is now fixed for $0.

These guys came out to check a leak that was found on our house inspection. Some of the nicest people I've ever met! So sweet to me and my daughter, took off their shoes and checked out where it could be leaking.

I had a running water issue with both my toilets. The owner came to take a look and told me that I would need to get them replaced.

But once we established that it wasn't a right-this-second emergency, he agreed to show up at 6am (thank you!) and had me send pictures to make sure it didn't look worse than I thought (luckily, it wasn't.) We did a little exploring in the rain to discover my house doesn't really have a water shut-off.

But he installed valves to keep water from the leaky faucet, checked to make sure there were no other leaks, and came back to install the new faucet when I bought a replacement later (Home Depot, $70-ish.) We were *five days* from escrow closing on selling this house and I was woken up by a water drip at 2:30. This was *far* better than I worried about...

My sewer system is always a problem in my mind, we need to do the clean almost every year. I'm lucky that I can make it work myself in the past ten years, but is clear that the pipes are clopped more and more serious, because my clean-up tool can go into the pipe shorter and shorter.

This time, it is fully stuck. I tried all my ways and give up to call plumbing service finally.

The first coming plumbing company is experienced, however, they failed after trying all their tools in 2-hour. There are a lot of "grace" in the pipe, and they clean out a lot, but the pipe is still stuck.

I'm frustrated and almost decide to replan my underhouse system, which is costly and my kitchen needs to be broken. Before I gave up, I tried Red Tulip.

It is a GREAT decision. When they came and bring out the tools, I'm not that sure they can fixed it, because the tools are smaller than I saw in the morning.

They engineer keep rotating these tools, and finally they pull out a plastic valve and show me it is the root-cause of the problem. Some minutes later, the pipe works.

I paid for my sink to be unclogged water was going from one side to the other rather than draining out so I had to call them to come in and fix it after two weeks the same thing has started happening it was not their fault my daughter had stuck something in there they came back for no charge and fixed it again they do have a warranty on their work for 90 days if something goes bad doing that time they will actually come back and fix it for no additional cost.

I have tried different plumbing services and they are not very efficient and they are very greedy they never come in on time and they make you wait 2 to 3 hours for the appointment I called Tulip and they came in within one hour and it was evening time around five or 6 o'clock which is when you can't find any help there was no additional charge for that either I would really recommend any plumbing needs to go through these people you won't be disappointed. My toilet started praying water and a few hours later my dishwasher got clogged.

Not sure why sewage problems always happen to me near the holidays this year, but the last time Trieu came out for my place was only the day before Thanksgiving (see my previous review).

My parents place is very old (1907) and the plumbing was original and weird due to additions. My dad tried to snake it himself and finally declared defeat around 3pm.

I called Trieu and was so happy he had time that day to come take a look. His estimate was 2 hours, but he was over in 1.

I met him at my parents' place just in case of a language barrier. Trieu ended up hydro jetting from the roof vent and after the clog was cleared, sent a cam down to see what the problem was, all with my dad on the roof with him, explaining everything patiently to my dad who speaks minimal english.

Trieu is very curious and wanted to get down to the root of the problem. He was not satisfied with the cam images showing a dip in one of the sections.

He used his detector to figure out where the pipes were, went down to the crawlspace (with my dad) to locate more of the old house's strange piping. While he was down there, they found a cracked pipe that was leaking and provided the tools for my dad to fix it at no extra charge.

All in all, Trieu went over and beyond for the service that he charged us for, which was just for hydro-jetting. I have been telling my friends about him and would not hesitate to call him again in the future.

He came and spend over 30mins to check where my ceiling was leaking on the 1st floor from the 2nd floor. Excepting to cut a few holes to check where is leaking place on the ceiling on the 1st floor, he has a better suggestion to fix the toilets waxing instant.

And then wait for a few days to see if it is continuing leaking water on the ceiling. However, for the safe side, I hope he could cut the ceiling and check whether have any mold inside of the ceiling where the leaking water place is located on top of the pendant light.

My wife called "Drain Assist" and Trieu showed up in 20' later. Trieu look at everything and tried to find out where it got clogged.

He tried the easy way first by using his professional air gun to push down the clog from the sink. but it didn't work.

He checked clean out and couldn't find the clog there and he suspected that the clog is in the horizontal pipe that connects the P-trap and the big vertical pipe in the wall. He is right.

As he un-assembled the kitchen pipe connectors and don't see much clog in the P-trap but the horizontal pipe totally blocked the water flow w/ grease/food traps over the years. He use big snake tool to pull/push to clean the inside of the pipe.

I could see how tough the clog was, but he has all the professional tool to do the job. He also ran the hot water to clean the grease inside the pipe to make sure it clean well.

Trieu is the best in the Business!!! Before our snow trip, I our water heater leak and I was in a panic because we might have to delay our trip or cancel in order to get it fixed. I called Trieu at 12am, yes 12 am and he still picks up the phone and was providing me directions and help me diagnose the problem.

Took care of our slow drains in no time! Back in Dec 2020 Trieu helped unclog my drain which was causing my bathtub and toilet to back up.
